Senator Booker Has Fascist Egg All over His Face, While Nike Drags Its Name into the Kaepernick-NFL Mud

FASCISTS AT WORK IN THE US SENATE. Senator Cory Booker appears to be so dense that he can't even get "civil disobedience" right. • • • "CONFIDENTIAL" KAVANAUGH EMAILS HAD ALREADY BEEN CLEARED FOR RELEASE. New Jersey ProgDem Senator Cory Booker tried to pretend he is Martin Luther King -- standing on 'civial disobedience' principle and prepared to take the punishment for it. The Reverend King knew what he was doing. He stood his ground. He famously went to Birmingham jail. • But, when oafish Senator Booker tried to pretend he is Martin Luther King's heir apparent, he fell flat on his face. Early on Thursday, Senator Booker dramatically said he would “knowingly” violate Senate rules to release emails marked "committee confidential" that showed Kavanaugh discussing racial profiling as a White House lawyer in 2002. Booker referred to his actions as an act of “civil disobedience” and said he was prepared to face punishment. “I am going to release the e-mail about racial profiling and I understand that the penalty comes with potential ousting from the Senate,” Booker said, later adding : “This is about the closest I'll probably ever have in my life to an, ‘I am Spartacus’ moment.” • But, like all ProgDems, Booker got it all wrong. It turns out that Booker didn’t actually break any rules. The Republican majority on the Senate Judiciary Committee said they worked with the George W. Bush library and the Justice Department overnight to clear the emails. The restrictions were waived early Thursday morning. • THAT is the CORRECT PROCESS -- presidential records are governed by the Presidential Records Act of 1978, 44 U.S.C. §§ 2201–2207, an Act of Congress of the United States governing the official records of Presidents and Vice Presidents created or received after January 20, 1981, and mandating the preservation of all presidential records. The PRA requires all presidential and vice presidential records to be turned over to the National Archives when an administration leaves office, so that the Archives may prepare them to be made available to the public. The PRA also permits an outgoing President to impose a twelve-year restriction on access to records that contain confidential communications with and among his aides, but requires that such materials be made available to the public on request after twelve years have expired -- except for materials that are national security classified or are within a small number of other exempt categories, such as information that would disclose confidential advice between the President and his advisors, or between such advisors. • Senator Booker was so anxious to become an MLK 'wanabee,' that he didn't check his emails on Thursday morning. If he had, Senator Booker would have learned that documents he published Thursday morning in supposed defiance of Senate rules had already been cleared for release and published. "Apparently, some just wanted to break the rules and make a scene, but didn’t check their email," a spokesman for Committee Republicans said in a statement. The GOP Majority on the Judiciary Committee posted the same documents. Texas GOP Senator John Cornyn told reporters : "All of this drama this morning apparently was for nothing and it’s unfortunate....it had already been worked out that this was going to be then released to the public." Senator Booker’s act of defiance was not an actual violation of the rules because nothing that he released was marked committee confidential at the time of its release. • Booker had released 12 pages of emails -- which had been marked “committee confidential” -- online for the public to read. The emails included internal post-9/11 discussions surrounding issues of racial profiling. Booker drew attention to one 2002 email in particular from Kavanaugh that had the subject line “racial profiling.” Fox News reports that : "In the email, Kavanaugh, who was working as a lawyer in the Bush White House, said he 'generally' favored race-neutral security measures, but said they need to 'grapple' with the 'interim question of what to do before a truly effective and comprehensive race-neutral system is developed and implemented.' Kavanaugh wrote that the 'interim question' is of 'critical importance to the security of the airlines and American people in the next 6 months or so, especially given Al Qaeda’s track record of timing between terrorist incidents.' ” On Wednesday, in a dramatic exchange, Booker implied Kavanaugh had been open to racial profiling tactics, citing the email exchange between Kavanaugh and a colleague. However, Booker did not provide Kavanaugh a copy of the emails to review while questioning him about it, prompting an objection from Senator Mike Lee, who charged that it was inappropriate to “cross-examine” Kavanaugh about documents that he “can’t see.” AND, reading the email, it is clear that Judge Kavanaugh was not advocating racial profiling but trying to protect America in the aftermath of 9/11 during the critical period when the Bush White House was struggling with how to handle instructions to airlines about the boarding of passengers. • Booker's pious statement -- “I come from a long line, as all of us do as Americans, that understand what that kind of civil disobedience is and I understand the consequences” -- produced ridicule from Republicans, such as Senator Cornyn, who said : “Running for President is no excuse for violating the rules of the Senate or of confidentiality of the documents that we are privy to.” • Senator Cornyn, at one point, read THE applicable SENATE RULE : “Any Senator, officer or employee of the Senate who shall disclose the secret or confidential business or proceedings of the Senate, including the business and proceedings of the committees, subcommittees and offices of the Senate shall be liable, if a Senator, to suffer expulsion from the body; and if an officer or employee, to dismissal from the service of the Senate, and to punishment for contempt.” • Of course, Booker's fellow fascist ProgDems agreed with breaking Senate rules -- Illinois Senator Dick Durbin and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, voiced their support for Booker’s move. Durbin said : “I completely agree with you. I concur with what you are doing...So if there is going to be some retribution against the Senator from New Jersey, count me in.” Klobuchar said : “We support what Senator Booker is doing here.” • Nothing will come of Senator Booker's stupidly sophomoric tantrum. Why not hold Senator Booker in contempt for his "intention"?? This highlights that it is past time for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to re-establish decorum in the Senate by demanding that Senators obey Senate rules and punishing those who break them. America has had enough of these fascist-mob tactics from the Progressive Democrat cabal whose only goal is to bring down President Trump and anyone who works with him. Senator Booker may have endeared himself to George Soros and Antifa, but the rest of America is sick of these vicious ProgDem outbursts. • • • THE SAME APPLIES TO THE NFL, KAEPERNICK AND NIKE. After Nike published its 'Just Do It' ad featuring a US police badge and Kaepernick with the superimposed words “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything,” the influential National Association of Police Orgnaizations sent a letter to Nike CEO Mark Parker that reads : "On behalf of the more than 241,000 law enforcement officers represented by our Association across the country, I write to you to condemn in the strongest possible terms your selection of Colin Kaepernick for Nike’s “Just Do It” ad campaign. Mr. Kaepernick is known, not as a successful athlete, but as a shallow dilletante seeking to gain notoriety by disrespecting the flag for which so many Americans have fought and died. The inclusion of Mr. Kaepernick in Nike’s “Just Do It” ad campaign also perpetuates the falsehood that police are racist and aiming to use force against African Americans and persons of color. In reality, officers across the nation risk their lives not only protecting the athletes featured in Nike’s various campaigns, but also serve aspiring athletes across the country who use the Nike brand, through the thousands of Police Athletic Leagues, Boys and Girls Clubs and Big Brother/Big Sister programs where our officers donate their time and energy. They deserve to have the respect and full support of corporate citizens like Nike. Adding to the insult is the image of Mr. Kaepernick from the campaign featuring the quote 'Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.' The fact that Mr. Kaepernick is no longer a starting NFL player does not equate to him being someone who has 'sacrificed everything.' To truly understand what it means to 'believe in something' and “sacrifice everything,' you should look to Arlington National Cemetery, or to the National Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial in Washington, D.C., or to the trauma unit of a military hospital. The brave men and women of every race and color buried there, memorialized there, healing there, believed in this nation and our flag and exemplify the true meaning of 'sacrifice.' In featuring Mr. Kaepernick in the 'Just Do It' campaign, Nike grossly insults the men and women who really do make sacrifices for the sake of our nation. We are calling on all our member officers, their families and friends to join in boycotting all Nike products." • CNBC reported on Wednesday that Nike lost more than $4 BILLION in share value after the Kaepernick 'Just Do It' ad appeared. • • • DEAR READERS, it is time to boycott Nike and burn anything we own that has a Nike logo on it. Enough of this nonsense. The American flag and the National anthem have nothing to do with racial issues that Kaepernick and his friends seem to be angry about. The Flag and the National Anthem represent all that they seem to want to support -- equality and rule of law. The NFL, like the US Senate, needs to get its house in order. America has had enough of the sophomoric tantrums of a bunch of highly privileged sports stars. It has had enough of the NFL supporting their tantrums. Stand respectfully for the National Anthem -- that is what America wants from all its citizens, including pro football stars. Off the field, we are prepared to discuss your perceptions of inequality. But, on the field, we want sports professionals, not political amateurs. And, in the US Senate, we demand decorum. There is no place in America for fascist-mob law-breaking posing as political discourse just because the ProgDems lost an an election. Get over it -- or go home and leave politics to the adults in the room.
