America Will not Be Gagged and Chained

A STENCH OF BLOOD hangs over America. The Progressive Socialist-Marxists who call themselves the Democrat Party have deeply, perhaps fatally, wounded the Republic and the odor of their rot fills the air. They have abandoned the Constitution. They have abandoned the principles of American law. They have abandoned Senate procedural rules. They have abandoned the historical American sense of fair play. They have abandoned decency. They have abandoned any ethical underpinnings their political tradition had. The Progressive inheritors of the Democrat Party have turned it into a howling totalitarian mob determined to rule America by force, determined to impose their otherwise unacceptable agenda by fiat. Judge Kavanaugh is the sacrificial offering to their bloodthirsty gods of jackboot power seizure. President Trump's body is the victory spoils they aim to hang high on the walls of their elitist state. We have reached the hour of reckoning. Will America stand with its patriots? Will America stand with its Founders? Will America find from deep within its body politic the force of moral conviction needed to turn back this Mongol Horde? Will America refuse to be gagged and chained? • • • WE KNOW THE STORY. We know that attorneys for Christine Blasey Ford, the California professor accusing Supreme Court nominee federal circuit court judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in high school 36 years ago when they were both teenagers, say Ford will appear at a Senate hearing Thursday morning despite unresolved "procedural and logistical issues." The attorneys, Debra Katz, Lisa Banks, and Michael Bromwich (who also represents the disgraced FBI former deputy director Andrew McCabe) are said to be preparing in earnest for the Thursday hearing, which is likely to push a Kavanaugh confirmation vote on the Senate floor beyond October 1, the start of the next Supreme Court term. • We know that Ford and her legal team have demanded an FBI investigation, despite the fact that there is no federal jurisdiction for a local sexual assault absent interstate facets, and despite the fact that Ford has never filed even so much as a local police report, and despite the fact that her allegations are vague and lack any detail of date or place, and despite the fact that constitutionally it is the Senate and not the FBI that vets Supreme Court nominees. • We know that the Ford legal team and Judiciary Committee Democrats are using the ProgDem propagandist media to browbeat the Senate Judiciary Committee and America about alleged "actual threats to her safety and her life," although neither the Ford lawyers nor the Democrats nor the media raises the issue of the safety of Judge Kavanaugh's family in the wake of their receipt of horrendously obscene emails and death threats. • We know that all of the individuals that Ford has said were at the house during the alleged assault -- including Kavanaugh, Judge, classmate Patrick Smyth, and her own longtime friend, Leland Ingham Keyser -- have denied knowledge of the episode, under penalty of felony, in interviews with the Judiciary Committee. • We know that an attorney representing Leland Ingham Keyser, a longtime friend of Christine Blasey Ford, said Friday evening that her client denies possessing any knowledge of the alleged incident. In a statement obtained by Breitbart News, Keyser’s attorney, Howard Walsh, wrote : “Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.” According to Breitbart, Walsh confirmed that his client and Ford are “lifelong friends.” • We know that Patrick J. Smyth issued a statement of his own : "I understand that I have been identified by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as the person she remembers as ‘PJ’ who supposedly was present at the party she described in her statements to the Washington Post. I am issuing this statement today to make it clear to all involved that I have no knowledge of the party in question; nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh. Personally speaking, I have known Brett Kavanaugh since high school and I know him to be a person of great integrity, a great friend, and I have never witnessed any improper conduct by Brett Kavanaugh towards women. To safeguard my own privacy and anonymity, I respectfully request that the Committee accept this statement in response to any inquiry the Committee may have.” • We know that Harvard Law Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz calls Ford’s demands about her hearing outrageous : “Every Civil Libertarian Should Be Outraged!… IT IS INSANE!” The video is available at < https://twitter.com/twitter/statuses/1043860032654397440 > ). Dershowitz said : "Every civil libertarian in the country, liberal, conservative, Republican, Democrat, led by the Civil Libertarian Union should be outraged by this demand. It is so un-American. You’re the accuser. You get on the witness stand. You testify. You make your accusation. You get cross-examined. THEN the accused responds. It turns the entire legal system on its head. It is INSANE to ask an accused person to deny the accusation before he has heard the accusation being made and cross-examined....I want to hear from the American Civil Liberties Union. Where are they? This is the most fundamental denial of due process." • AND, we know that Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti claims he is also representing a woman with “credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh and Mark Judge. We will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony to the committee and will likewise be demanding that Judge and others be subpoenaed to testify. The nomination must be withdrawn." • AND, we now know that a Yale University classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has claimed that he exposed himself to her at a college party, according to a New Yorker magazine report late Sunday. The woman, Deborah Ramirez, has called on the FBI to investigate the alleged incident. The magazine's report, which is co-written by Pulitzer Prize winner Ronan Farrow, states that four Democratic Senators have received information about Ramirez's allegation and at least two have begun investigating it. The report was published days before Kavanaugh is to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee about the Ford allegations and just as the Ford allegations are losing steam because no witness named by Ford has corroborated her story. Ramirez was hesitant to go public with the claim because her memories “contained gaps because she had been drinking at the time of the” incident. Nevertheless, Hawaii Democrat Senator Mazie Hirono tweeted : "This is a serious, disturbing, and credible allegation against Brett Kavanaugh. It should be fully investigated.” And, again, a male classmate who Ramirez claims egged on Kavanaugh to expose himself to her denied any memory of the party in question. In addition, the New Yorker published a statement by six of Kavanaugh's classmates saying : "We can say with confidence that if the incident Debbie alleges ever occurred, we would have seen or heard about it -- and we did not. The behavior she describes would be completely out of character for Brett." A female classmate who signed the statement told the New Yorker that Ramirez "is a woman I was best friends with. We shared intimate details of our lives. And I was never told this story by her, or by anyone else. It never came up. I didn’t see it; I never heard of it happening." • FINALLY, we know that the beleaguered Judge Kavanaugh described Ramirez's allegation as a "smear" : "This alleged event from 35 years ago did not happen. The people who knew me then know that this did not happen, and have said so. This is a smear, plain and simple. I look forward to testifying on Thursday about the truth, and defending my good name--and the reputation for character and integrity I have spent a lifetime building -- against these last-minute allegations." Judge Kavanaugh has also said that he will turn over calendars to the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1982 that do not show him attending a high school party where Christine Blasey Ford said he sexually attacked her, according to a newspaper report on Sunday. The calendars show that Kavanaugh, then a teenager, was out of town during most of that summer at the beach or with his parents, the New York Times reported, citing someone working on his confirmation hearings. While at home in suburban Maryland, Kavanaugh’s calendar listed basketball games, movies he went to, football workouts and college interviews. It mentioned several parties, but the calendar included names of friends other than those identified by Ford, the newspaper said. • • • WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS OF THE FORD-RAMIREZ STORY? Obviously, the practical political motive behind the ProgDem move to delay and derail the Kavanaugh confirmation is to buy time for the November mid-term elections to occur. They believed they have a chance to carry the mid-terms and gain control of the House and Senate. That may have been their latest and biggest Democrat tactical blunder yet in dealing with President Trump. Blabber Buzz wrote on Sunday : "There are lots of reasons why the Senate should not delay the Kavanaugh confirmation another minute. The underhanded nature with which the activist and sore-losing leftists in the US Senate have conducted nearly every element of this drawn out exhibition has been noted by an electorate that put in office (by overwhelming margin) a President they hoped would transform politics into something resembling a system that once again works for Americans. GOP 'likely turnout' for 2018 (over the past two weeks) has *increased* by an average of 3-8% according to the poll measuring it. Rust belt production workers, suburban married women, Hispanics, and African Americans also register stronger support for the President than Republicans are accustomed to seeing in a first-off mid-term cycle. Since leftist Democrats are dealing with an identity crisis in their own party they are desperate for two things: a unifying cause & a perceived win on... well.. anything at this point. It’s my belief that such desperation caused Senate Judiciary members to stage wildly off-putting confirmation hearings with Judge Brett Kavanaugh. But also in the wake of those hearings decided to double down on maybe the flimsiest strategy they’ve come up with yet. Considering that Senator Diane Feinstein and Dr. Christine Ford’s own attorney have both openly cast doubt on reliable truthfulness of Ford’s account, memory & 'evidence,' it does defy more than a bit of reflection. The on-again, off-again, & anything-but-confident decision to appear at the Judiciary Committee’s re-opened hearings into the Kavanaugh confirmation was even fought for by the Judiciary Democrats, before they opposed it, only to (we think) now embrace it again. To West Virginia coal miners that just looks shady. To auto workers in Ohio it looks desperate. And to the factory workers in Michigan, they’d never personally put up with such nonsense." • Second, the ProgDem effort to reverse the American and Anglo-Saxon bedrock rule of law that the accused has the right to confront his accuser and have the last word in defending himself has been tossed out by the ProgDems, along with the rest of the Constitution. The implication here is that they know that if Judge Kavanaugh has the opportunity to confront and respond to Ford's allegations, he is highly likely to prevail. We have not yet heard from Judge Kavanaugh about these vague, indefinite claims of teenage sexual assault. But, Judge Kavanaugh is one of America's most respected federal judges and legal minds. His opinions are supported by the Supreme Court when cases he has ruled on reach the Court. He will be strongly but politely assertive in his own defense. He answered hundreds of hostile questions during dozens of hours before the Judiciary Committee. It will be a powerful moment when he finally faces his accuser and responds to her claims. The Democrat cabal should not make the further great mistake of mistaking Judge Kavanaugh's politeness and civility for weakness. • Third, Judge Kavanaugh's life speaks for him. Blabber Buzz wrote : "One of the reasons I believe most strongly that this will backfire is that while the accuser has been in desperate search to find anything that proves her story true, Judge Kavanaugh has been supported and uplifted by highly unusual groups of people for someone accused of sexual assault -- women. Girls he dated, lifelong friends, women he has promoted through the ranks of the DC aspirational legal system, clerks that have worked for him for decades, those who attend church with his family, those who work with him in his efforts to tutor inner city youth, coach junior league basketball, and feed and clothe the homeless. To date literally hundreds of women that have known him with far greater consistency than anything Ford can claim and their claims are consistently superlative. From liberal Yale law professors who might disagree with him philosophically or politically, to the very women who have run his very life day to day. Overwhelming numbers of voices, overwhelming corroboration that he does not display behavior conducive to such claims." • Fourth, the Democrat attempt to slander and libel Judge Kavanaugh was meant to win over America. But, these ProgDem elites have forgotten that Americans do not take kindly to foul play or lies or the almost sinful idea of winning-at-any-cost. The naked political attempt to slander a good and decent man, simply to prevent him from taking his fully deserved spot on the Supreme Court reflects the dishonesty and Marxist totalitarian bent of the Progressive Democrat Party. Their jackboot tactics do not represent America or Judge Kavanaugh. • DEAR READERS, just how cynical and power-grabbing the Democrat Party smear against Judge Kavanaugh is can be seen in the fact that Christine Blasey Ford is receiving advice from Democrat activist Ricki Seidman. Politico reports that : "Seidman, a senior principal at TSD Communications, in the past worked as an investigator for Senator Ted Kennedy, and was involved with Anita Hill’s decision to testify against Supreme Court Nominee Clarence Thomas. She also worked as Joe Biden’s communications director during the 2008 general election campaign, after he was named Barack Obama’s running mate. In 2009, according to her online biography, she helped the White House manage the confirmation of Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor. Before that, she worked in the Clinton White House as deputy communications director." And, says Politico, when President Ronald Reagan appointed Judge Robert Bork to the nation’s highest court, Seidman played a key role helping kill the appointment : “As legal director for Norman Lear’s People for the American Way, she was responsible for the infamous attack-ad on the judicial record of Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork.” The ultimate Democrat agenda of destroying President Trump and the Republican Party is using Christine Blasey Ford to try to prevent the GOP from naming another Supreme Court justice because that simply drives their "law-made-by-activist-liberal-justices" agenda farther away from its past heydays when the Supreme Court was used to write laws that the Progressives had no hope of getting through Congress. Ford, the ProgDems and Senator Feinstein would have us believe, just decided to "come out" right after they had lost their game of stopping Kavanaugh's confirmation in the Judiciary Committee hearings. The Ford letter just popped into Feinstein's in-box at the very moment when the Washington Post was going to press with its widely read Sunday edition. And, Ford herself just happened to have hired notoriously Progressive laywers back in the summer before she took a lie detector test. She also just happened to note that she couldn't go to Washington to give her story speedily because she is afraid to fly -- although as Fox News' Judge Janine points out, she has flown to Hawaii for professional reasons. And, she just one the spur of the moment hired one of the most powerful PR firms in Washington to help her over the hard times ahead -- just like it helped Anita Hill. • And, on Monday we learned that because of their second set bogus charges flung at Judge Kavanaugh, the Democrats want to postpone the Kavanaugh hearings indefinitely. • BUT, on Monday we also learned that President Trump is standing behind his appointee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, calling the uncorroborated claims “totally political” and “unfair.” President Trump, in New York City for the annual UN General Assembly meeting, said : “I am with Judge Kavanaugh. For people to come out of the woodwork from thirty-six years ago, and thirty years ago, and never mentioned it, all of a sudden it happened -- totally political.” The President, signaling the White House would dig in and defend Kavanaugh amid the onslaught of allegations, called the situation “one of the single most unfair, unjust things to happen to a candidate.” The White House also pushed back hard on the Ramirez allegation, pointing in part to a New York Times report that said it could not back up Ramirez' claims. The NYT had written after the New Yorker story appeared that it “had interviewed several dozen people over the past week in an attempt to corroborate her story, and could find no one with firsthand knowledge. Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates, asking if they recalled the incident and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself.” • Judicial Crisis Network's Chief Counsel Carrie Severino said in a statement : "Senate Republicans should stand up to these unsubstantiated and discredited allegations and move forward with a vote to confirm Kavanaugh." • And, that is more and more the message coming from conservative media -- it is time to move on to a Judiciary Committee vote to release Kavanaugh's name to the full Senate for confirmation. In this gutter fight in which the Democrat Party has neither shame nor conscience, the Republicans must summon the moral fortitude to break the back of the insurrection against law and the Constitution. • American Thinker's Silvio Canto said it on Monday : "Now, it 's up to the GOP. They can continue the farce and invite the new accuser or take a vote and move on. If they take a vote, they will have to count on every GOP vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh. If they delay this, then they run the risk of losing the Senate and never putting this good man in the court." Canto points out that his instincts tell hime "that there are a lot of women watching all of this Kavanaugh show and wondering : Is my husband next? Or my son? Or my father? In other words, it does not take a lot to destroy a man these days. In fact, just accuse him of something that can't be proven and you have a friendly media willing to carry the accuser's water." Canto says : "This is why I continue to believe that this overreach will explode in the Democrats' faces. Add to all of this the names of Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Senator Tom Carper of Delaware, and DNC # 2 Keith Ellison and the Party may regret the whole thing. Worst of all, whatever happened to justice for the accused? I guess that it does not apply to any conservative who believes that abortion should be settled by states rather than justices." • Deanna Chadwell of American Thinker adds a dangerously accurate reminder : "What bothers me the most, however, is that we’ve lost all contact with common sense, with any desire to arrive at the truth. The truth is that Democrats believe they will take Congress in November (The key word here is “believe.”) and they want to put off the confirmation vote until then. So, Ford’s accusations have burst onto the scene in a most orchestrated, obvious manner. She wants to raise a fuss, but not be held to account, which says to me that she is unsure about the whole thing. If it were me, I’d want to get on with it, get it over with, but her hesitancy feels really off. If she didn’t want the attention why write the letter in the first place? And where does she get off wanting Kavanaugh to testify first? Testify to what? This all flies in the face of thousands of years of jurisprudence. Common sense would dictate that we pay attention to policies that have worked for millennia, but common sense is dying. Eventually the dust will clear, and Brett Kavanaugh will be confirmed, and things will calm down -- until the next appointment comes up, until the next overblown accusation is thrown at the next decent man. How many drama-queen explosions can we put up with? How many lies can we absorb? How many crucifixions can one nation stand?" • George Washington rarely got it wrong. In his Farewell Address to the Nation on September 17, 1789, President Washington warned America : "However political parties may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." • It is time, to paraphrase Admiral Farragut's famous order during the Civil War Battle of Mobile Bay, to : "Damn the accusations and full speed ahead." Confirm Judge Kavanaugh. If the Democrats think they can impeach him afterward, let them try. We will be waiting. America will not be gagged and chained.
