Traditional Christians in America and the Church Oppose the Progressive Political Agenda of Pope Francis
Before we get down to today's business of looking at the political aspects of Pops Francis's penchant for the globalist Progressive
agenda, I want to say a word about Senator Elizabeth Warren, which is actually instructive concerning today's blog theme. Senator
Warren, aka Pocahontas -- I suppose I shouldn't say that, but I have neither admiration nor respect for Warren. She's a demagogue
whose goal is to be elected President so that she can ram socialist Progressive economic and social policies down the throats of
Americans who do not want either her or her policies. But, in the aftermath of being rebuked and silenced by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell while she was ranting about her view that Senator Jeff Session is racist, making him unfit for the office of Attorney General, Warren spoke to CNN -- who else?? And she told CNN something that highlights Progressive "LieSpeak" -- she said America needs an Attorney General who will stand up to Trump when his orders are unconstitutional, adding that America wants the facts -- and she was giving them. Okay, Senator, here are the facts : President Obama had two Attorneys General, Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch. Between them, they sold guns to Mexican drug cartels who used the guns to kill a US Border Patrol officer; they refused to respond to congressional requests and subpoenas for documents related to the Fast & Furious gun scandal, the IRS scandal, the Benghazi assassination of Ambassador Stevens the during the terrorist attack that the Obama White House lied about, and the Hillary Clinton State Department use of an illegal private server for public email business; they harassed police and favored thugs who rioted when those police tried to protect their communities; they looked the other way when Obama widely overstepped his constitutional authority in changing the Obamacare law by executive order without going back to Congress
for the needed amendment; they supported his refusal to call the Iran nuclear deal a treaty, thus making Senate approval unnecessary; they apparently agreed that Obama could send a planeload of US Dollars to Iran as part of a hostage exchange deal in violation of stated US policy against paying ransoms -- I could go on, but you get my point. Senator Warren is so wrong that it beggars belief, and yet the media never once challenged either her assertion that she was givinq facts or asked her why she supported two Attorneys General under a rogue President Obama, all of whom could not tell law from Progressive agenda even when pointed out to them by Congress and federal courts. And that brings us to today's topic. • • • WARREN AND PROGRESSIVE MEDIA REPRIMANDED BY DR. IVEDA KING. Since the MSM was unwilling to confront Senator Warren, lveda C. King, the niece of Martin Luther King Jr., did it for them. On Tuesday Dr. King told Neil Cavuto on Fox News that Elizabeth
Warren was "playing the race card” when she cited the King family name during her speech against the confirmation of attorney general nominee Jeff Sessions. King said her aunt’s letter was used to "stir up people’s emotions, play the race card. If we take a look at my [late] aunt Coretta Scott King's letter, we know that she was a peacemaker. Her intentions were never to divide during her whole life. I was her communications and correspondence secretary for several years when I was a young woman. In that letter, she would be referring to perhaps some of his comments, however, she would agree today that he of course ended some school desegregation, he worked to prosecute members of the KKK." Dr. King said her aunt, if alive today, would note all of Sessions’ positive work : "Aunt Coretta was a very reasonable woman and she, with integrity, would have noted that he had done some great work in fighting desegregation.” • • • POPE FRANCIS ACCUSED OF SOLIDARITY WITH OBAMA AND PROGRESSIVES. Pope Francis says he is going to “wait and see” before judging President Trump, according to reports. I suppose we should take that as a bone tossed from the papal hand to us who elected a President Trump, causing the Pope a “lot of incomprehension” and
“bitter shock.” Francis said he viewed the United States as “angry and radicalized.” • Those statements and many others by the Pope are making analysts ask if there could have been an alliance of sorts between the Holy See and the Democrats. In an "Open Letter to President Donald Trump" published by The Remnant on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2017, five concerned Catholics told President Trump that they "look forward to seeing a continued reversal of the collectivist trends of recent decades. The letter was signed by David L. Sonnier, LTC US ARMY (Retired); Michael J. Matt, Editor of The Remnant; Christopher A. Ferrara (President of The American Catholic Lawyers Association, Inc.); Chris Jackson, Catholics4Trump.com; and Elizabeth Yore, Esq., Founder of YoreChildren. They noted that : "Reversing recent collectivist trends will, by necessity, require a reversal of many of the actions taken by the previous administration. Among those actions we believe that there is one that remains cloaked in secrecy. Specifically, we have reason to believe that a Vatican 'regime change' was engineered by the Obama administration." Here is their argument for this opinion : (1) "We were alarmed to discover that, during the third year of the first term of the Obama administration your previous opponent, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and other government officials with whom she associated, proposed a Catholic ‘revolution’ in which the final demise of what was left of the Catholic Church in America would be realized. Approximately a year after this email discussion, which was never intended to be made public, we find that Pope Benedict XVI abdicated under highly unusual circumstances and was replaced by a pope whose apparent mission is to provide a spiritual component to the radical ideological agenda of the international left..." (2) "During the 2016 presidential campaign we were astonished to witness Pope Francis actively campaigning against your proposed policies concerning the securing of our borders, and even going so far as to suggest that you are not a Christian. We appreciated your prompt and pointed response to this disgraceful accusation..." The writers then ask President Trump to "to authorize an investigation into the following questions : "To what end was the National Security Agency monitoring the conclave that elected Pope Francis? What other covert operations were carried out by US government operatives concerning the resignation of Pope Benedict or the conclave that elected Pope Francis? Did US government operatives have contact with the ‘Cardinal Danneels Mafia’? International monetary transactions with the Vatican were
suspended during the last few days prior to the resignation of Pope Benedict. Were any US government agencies involved in this? Why were international monetary transactions resumed on February 12, 2013, the day after Benedict XVI announced his resignation? Was this pure coincidence? What actions, if any, were actually taken by John Podesta, Hillary Clinton, and others tied to the Obama administration who were involved in the discussion proposing the fomenting of a “Catholic Spring”? What was the purpose and nature of the secret meeting between Vice President Joseph Biden and Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican on or about June 3, 2011? What roles were played by George Soros and other international financiers who may be currently residing in United States territory?" • These are loaded questions that suggest a clandestine effort led by Obama and his senior national security advisors to oust conservative Pope Benedict XVI and replace him with Progressive Pope Francis -- and it could be dismissed as the imaginings of a small clique of conservative Catholic leaders if it were not for the behavior of Pope Francis and his animosity toward President Trump and America. The Remnant article notes that : "Pope Benedict XVI’s perplexing resignation
has been disastrous for Catholic orthodoxy, much as Obama’s presidency was disastrous for America. Some well intentioned Catholics have criticized Francis for being naïve with regard to the media....which has allowed the media to misrepresent his words....The problem is, by his words and actions, he appears to be drawing the Catholic Church dangerously close to formal schism...and that’s not a good thing." • Dear readers, if the Vatican was expecting Hillary Clinton to win the presidency, it was not alone. Perhaps the Vatican thought that a Hillary victory to help cement the Progressive revolution by completely marginalizing traditional Catholics while the Democrats and media would crush their political opposition once and for all. It seems the election of Donald Trump halted their unholy plans. Interestingly, despite the massive efforts of Catholic Progressives and their secular accomplices, Trump won the Catholic vote. Not by a large margin, but he won it. • • • THE POPE FRANCIS PAPACY MOVES LEFT. Recently, Pope Francis’ Pontifical Academy of Social Science and Sciences invited Paul Ehrlich, the author of the 1968 bestseller, The Population Bomb, to speak at the Vatican. Peter Raven, Ehrlich’s collaborator on the Population Bomb, serves as an official member of the Pontifical Academy of Science. Paul Ehrlich is widely regarded as the ideological progenitor of the
population control movement. His protégé, Jeffrey Sachs, is the key Vatican expert on the environment. Sachs, a UN bureaucrat and George Soros inner circle advisor, was given a permanent seat at the Vatican and spoke at 19 Vatican conferences during the first three years of the Francis Papacy. • In 2015, the Vatican adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Pope Francis published his environmental exhortation, Laudato Si. The human trafficking crisis is sometimes exploited by the Vatican as somehow linked to climate change. Elizabeth Yore, an expert in human trafficking, recognized the fake link by globalists to align their alleged climate change crisis with the real scourge of human trafficking. According to Yore, the leader in this linkage was Jeffrey Sachs, who mimicked the scare tactics of the 60s population control guru, Paul Ehrlich. Yore gave remarks about Sachs and Ehrlich in an April 27, 2015 address in Rome : “And who is the Vatican consulting with on this problem? Jeffrey Sachs, who spends his career sounding the alarm that the world is overpopulated, and fertility rates must be lowered. In fact, at a 2007 international lecture, Sachs claims that 'we are bursting at the seams.' The focus of Sachs’ overpopulation mantra is the continent
of Africa. He argues that if only poor African countries would just lower their fertility rate, the world and Africa would thrive
economically. This fear mongering is nothing new. Sachs is standing on the shoulders of Paul Ehrlich, architect of the 'sky is falling'
deception perpetrated in his 1968 book, The Population Bomb. Ehrlich mastered the alarmist overpopulation canard with his infamous thesis, 'the battle to feed all of humanity is over. In the 1970s hundreds of millions of people will starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now. At this late date, nothing can prevent a substantial increase in the world death rate.' That, dear readers, is reminiscent of today's panicky assertions that if ocean levels rise another 0.2 inches, the world will be beyond repair -- it is not true, just as hundreds of millions of people did not starve in the 1970s. • Paul Ehrlich supported all kinds of drastic solutions for this fake calamity -- putting birth control in the water supply, forced abortions, coercive sterilizations, and forcibly punishing countries who balk at implementing radical population control measures. Ehrlich’s recommendations also included punitive taxes on families who have children, and on childcare products, in order to “fix” the problem of global famine from overpopulation. The fear today in the 'traditionalist' Catholic Church community is that Pope Francis is edging toward pronouncing birth control as permissible, without weighing either the validity of the bases for his decision or the negative inpact such a promulgation would have on Catholic dogma. For American Right to Life conservatives, the dilemma is similar, but the "fake dogma" is supported by the Supreme Court and spread as political correctness by Progressive Democrats. A Pope Francis pronouncement accepting birth control would inevitably lead to a more readily open door for abortion and euthanasia, and it would cement political acceptance of birth control and abortion -- because as Right to Life Americans know only too well, that slippery slope is very steep and fast. Yore says : "For those who still naively claim that Francis is unaware of the activities and invitations to Sachs and Ehrlich, please note that Pope Francis shared an intimate speaker dais with Jeffrey Sachs, while personally thanking Sachs for his Vatican work, and the Pope personally hosting a private meeting with Sachs and UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon in his papal apartment. Hardly unaware." • • • THE POPE URGED ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO ENTER THE US FROM MEXICO. Pope Francis famously, during his visit to America in 2015, stood on the Mexican side of the US-Mexico border and berated the US for trying to close it to illegal entrants. The Guardian on Wednesday that Pope Francis has again seemed to
criticize Trump's Mexico border wall plan : "The pontiff did not directly refer to Donald Trump’s plan to build a fence along his
country’s border with Mexico, but made a thinly veiled criticism of it... : ‘A Christian can never say, ‘I’ll make you pay for that.’ Never!
That is not a Christian gesture. An offence is overcome with forgiveness, by living in peace with everyone.’ " The Pope's statement
at his weekly general audience at the Vatican that it was a Christian calling “to not raise walls but bridges, to not respond to evil
with evil, to overcome evil with good” will certainly be seen as an allusion to Trump’s plans and policies. The Guardian reported that
: "Francis may also have been alluding to Trump’s ban on Syrian refugees and people from seven Moslem-majority countries from entering the US, which was overturned by a federal judge last week....A year ago -- when Trump was thought to have little chance of winning the US presidential election -- Francis made similar comments about walls and bridges. He told reporters when returning to Rome from Mexico : “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian.” Trump's reszponse then was : “For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful.” The Pope repeated his “bridges not walls” message a few days before the November presidential election, according to the Guardian, when he told social justice activists at the Vatican that the “best antidote to fear is mercy” which is “much more effective than walls, iron bars, alarms and weapons. And it is free.” • Here, again, we see Pope Francis diving deep inot political waters by chastizing the conservative Trump for wanting borders and control of US immigration. This has been accompanied by Francis's urging the European Union to accept Syrian and other Middle East migrants because it is their Christian duty to do so. • • • THE POPE AND THE PALESTINIANS. Gatestone Institute published an article in January that criticized the Pope's opening of a Palestinian embassy
during this critical time of intensified anti-Israel animosity. The article asked if the Pope was justifying the Palestinian-Arab attempt
to isolate the Jewish State and to impose on it unacceptable conditions of surrender through international pressure? The Gatestone article said : "Unfortunately, Pope Francis's papacy has been marked by a long list of anti-Israel gestures which did not advance the cause of peace the Pope claims to champion....The Pope called Abbas an 'angel of peace.' Really?....The Pope, in short is praising a corrupt supporter of terrorists, a torturer who has abolished any democratic process in the West Bank....Unfortunately, Pope Francis's papacy has been marked by a long list of anti-Israel gestures that did not advance the cause of peace that the Pope claims to champion. When the Pope visited Israel in 2014, he was photographed praying at Israel's security barrier, which had been created simply to stop the wave of Palestinian suicide bombing attacks against Israeli civilians. The Pope stood before graffiti that compared Palestinians with Jews under the Nazis....Sadly, Francis's homily, delivered in Bethlehem, did not contain the language of peace; just admonition of Israel : 'Are we like Mary and Joseph, who welcomed Jesus and cared for him with the love of a father and mother? Or are we like Herod, who wanted to eliminate him?' Was Pope Francis, as
Caroline Glick wrote, likening the Israelis to Herod, when historically is the Palestinians who, like Herod, have wanted to eliminate
the Jews?" • In May 2015, on "Naqba Day" ("Catastrophe Day") -- commemorating the day of Israel's birth as a modern nation and the day when five Arab countries launched a losing war against Israel to wipe it out -- Pope Francis gave the Palestinians another symbolic victory by signing the treaty which formally recognized a "State of Palestine." As the Gatestone Institute reminds us : "During these four years, Pope Francis has continually put significant barriers in the way of peace between Israelis and Palestinians -- a peace based on dialogue, mutual respect and the end of conflict. Instead, this supposed man of peace has strengthened Abbas's refusal to negotiate with the Jews -- the Christians' "elder brothers," as Pope John Paul II bravely called them -- and to end hostilities with them. If this is his view of Caritas, what a tragic shame." • • • TRUMP AND THE TRADITIONAL CHURCH SHARE MANY VALUES. The UK Express qsked in a headline on Monday : " 'Who are these migrants?’ Cardinal on collision course with Pope over Trump and migration." The Express reportes that Pope Francis is facing a political backlash over his support of mass migration to Europe and policies which “ostracize” traditional branches of the church : "Other church leaders
are now beginning to align themselves with right-wing politicians in Italy -- giving rise to fears even the Vatican could be rocked by
the Donald Trump administration in Washington. Powerful American Cardinal Raymond Burke added fuel to the fire over the weekend when it was revealed he met with Matteo Salvini, the rightwing Italian nationalist -- a staunch supporter of the new US President. Cardinal Burke’s meeting with the head of the Northern League party has ignited fears divisions between traditionalists and the pope are becoming political. Increasingly, traditionalist and conservative branches of the Catholic church are reportedly feel ignored and even attacked by the progressive Argentine pontiff." The meeting between Cardinal Burke and Salvini reportedly took place last Thursday in the Vatican and lasted for an hour and a half, according to a report by Francesco Grana, a Vatican journalist. Salvini criticized Pope Francis after the Pope spoke of the need for Italy to take in hundreds of thousands of refugees and migrants. • Anti-pope posters were recently plastered all over Rome asking the Church leader “where is your mercy?” referring to the “decapitation” of the Knights of Malta by Pope Francis in what is described by many a a "coup" by Francis to take control of the oldest institution in the Church, dating from the Crusades and supporting charities worldwide with over 100,000 workers actively in the field. Meanwhile, in the US, President Trump’s administration is turning back decades of Progressive action by favoring legislation to defund abortion and undo harassment of Chirstian businesses that oppose same sex marriage. These
issues divide not only the US and in Europe - they also split the hierarchy of the Church. Pope Francis’s allies back his message of
inclusion and support for immigrants and are furious over the Trump temporary travel ban -- which they refuse to call 'temporary' --
from seven majority-Moslem countries. Cardinal Joseph Tobin of Newark, New Jersey, an apparent supporter of Pope Francis who was recently promoted by Francis, called Trump’s motives “un-American.” Butn Cardinal Burke has praised President Trump's pro-life position and said the US President tends to surround himself with “very sound advisors.” Cardinal Burke said: “I don’t think the new President will be inspired by hatred in his treatment of the issue of immigration. Charity is always intelligent; it demands to know: Exactly who are these immigrants? Are they really refugees, and what communities can sustain them?” Yet, although President Trump has huge backing from evangelical Christians in the US -- 80% of evangelicals voted for Trump -- the Pope has called his biggest policies “un-Christian.” • • • DEAR READERS, consider these points : the Church has given us most of the important and positive things we have in Western societies -- (1) the creation of hospitals by Catholic monks who began to take the ill into their monasteries during the Middle Ages; (2) the arrival of universities to overcome the ancient refusal to spread knowledge to many people when in the Middle Ages, the Church wanted to make sure that knowledge was spread and that more
people could have access to the absolute truth (the first European universities began in the 11th century and in the 12th century, the
archdiocese of Paris created the University of Paris, a century later, the English founded Oxford and then Cambridge), despite UNESCO's assertion that the first universities to be the ones created by the Muslims before the 11th century, which is true except that those institutions never brought about any social results and today most people have never heard of a Moslem university; (3) the lead of the Church in not allowing Europe to become Moslem, long before the 11th centruy First Crusade, when a Moslem army had already reached France and dominated Spain, and the Pope called for volunteers to fight; (4) the creation of the international laws and other things like sacred music, beer (the Catholic monks were the ones to make beer popular in Europe during the Middle Ages), the 19th century writings of Popes Pius IX and Leo XIII against communism, stating that it represented a danger for humanity, the 1937 Pope Pius XI encyclical to Germany warning about a pagan authoritarian government that referred to Nazism, of course. • Now consider rthat the United States is the oldest functioning democracy, whose Constitution is the model for every other democracy in the world; America brought public education to ordinary citizens because the Founders regarded education as the first necessity in a government run by We the People and bqsed on individual liberty and freedom; America's private heqlthcare system was hte refuge of last resort by those on waiting lists in countries with nationalized healthcare, until Obamacare broke up America's system. • The United States and the Church are often singing on the same page, so to speak, but American political Progressives -- the latest being Barack Obama -- and Church Progressives led by Pope Francis are trying to unravel the social
good that has been and continues to be done by America and the Church. The Western values espoused and taught by both traditional America and the traditional Church are under attack from these Progressive globalists whose goal is to eliminate all independent voices who uphold human freedom and individual liberty. • An anonymous quote struck me recently -- it seemed to speak of great battles with Star Wars weaponry and special operations warriors -- but perhaps I pigeonholed it too neatly. Perhaps it refers also to constitutional conservative Christian America and to the traditional Christian Chruch : "Fate Whispers to the Warrior, 'You can not Withstand the Storm,' and the Warrior Whispers Back, 'I am the Storm.' " The phrase resonates on so many levels that I would like to apply it to the battle of Christians in America and in the Church to save civilization from its Progressive stalkers, wherever and whoever they may be. We are the Warriors. We are the Storm.

A great two day no holds barred explanation as to where this world sits right now. The divide between the right and left is as opposite as ever before.
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be o possible common ground between the two anymore. I fir one can find no subject that would allow compromise with the One World Progresskves - just nothing.
So is the only resolution one of divide and each side starts over? Or is a solution much more like a Cuvil War world wide between GOOD and EVILE, CHRISTIAN and NON BELIEVERS, or SELF GOVERNMENT vs SURFDOM?
Thank you Casey Pops for a wonderful summery of the perilous position we are in
ReplyDeleteAll the worlds Socialists and Progressives - including Pope Francis - have this demented idea that if a government doesn't pay for something needed by the citizens, the these citizens are being barred from access to a (misused term) right that a small percentage does have. WRONG friends
There is a very wide divide between having ACCESS to say Healthcare vs having it paid for by a government for everyone (as Progressives want for everyone for everything).
Progressives see that without government paying , it's a denial of that right.
Ted Cruz pointed out to Sen Sanders during a CNN debate that it must be differentiated between a right to something and the right to access of something.
