Saturday Politics : Fake News, Fake Intelligence, Fake American Progressive Leaders and General Flynn

Saturday Politics is sometimes about bad pennies. • AND YOU THOUGHT JOHN KERRY WAS GONE. Former Secretaries of State John Kerry and Madeleine Albright were busy filing a joint declaration with the 9th Circuit appellate court on Monday in support of a continued block of President Trump’s executive order on immigration. In a six-page brief also signed by former CIA Director / Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and other national security officials, the Democrats argued that Trump’s order temporarily blocking immigration from 7 Middle Eastern countries would make America less secure. [Now, that's a novel thought -- keeping out the bad guys makes America less secure.] The declaration states : “We know of no case where a President has invoked his statutory authority to suspend admission for such a broad class of people. In past cases, suspensions were limited to particular individuals or subclasses of nationals who posed a specific articulable threat based on their known actions and affiliations. There is no national security purpose for a total bar on entry for aliens from the seven named countries. Since September 11, 2001, not a single terrorist attack in the United States has been perpetrated by aliens from the countries named in the Order. Very few attacks on US soil have been traced to foreign nationals at all. The overwhelming majority of attacks have been committed by US citizens. In our professional opinion, the Order will harm the interests of the United States in many respects.” • FACTS : Despite heightened security measures since the coordinated attacks by al-Qaida on September 11, 2001, there have been 37 terrorist acts on US soil. While 14 of those terrorist acts did not have fatalities, there were 151 total deaths from 23 attacks, with nearly one-third of the total death count coming from the Orlando nightclub shooting in June. The Heritage Foundation reported in 2013 that of the 154 terrorists killed or caught plotting or carrying out terrorist attacks in the US after 9/11 and until 2013 -- 77 were American citizens; 33 were British; 6 from Pakistan; 4 from Afghanistan; 3 each from Albania, Haiti, Palestine and Saudi Arabia; 2 each from Lebanon, Kosovo, Guyana and Yemen; and one each from Algeria, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Nigeria, Russia, Somalia, Trinidad, Tunisia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. So, Kerry, ALbright and Panetta are as mixed up about who the terrorists are as they are about what to do with them. • The interests of the United States are being harmed by this shroud of political correctness that Kerry, Albright, Panetta and their respective Democrat administrations have encouraged for more than twenty years. This PC atmosphere has become so oppressive that Americans are now shocked to see a President willing to take even the smallest steps toward strengthening our national security. And, PC was fostered to prevent conservatives from speaking out about the harm Progressive Presidents were doing to America -- notoriously open borders, sloppy foreign policy that allowed ISIS to become a worldwide menace, letting Iran have a "legitimized" pathway to a nuclear weapon. Those are the actions that "harm the interests of the United States." President Trump's campaign and initial weeks in the White house have shown his fearlessness in the face of PC culture -- it won him the presidency because Americans want to keep their country safe from terror. Hispanics, women, and Moslems agree with President Trump, as does everyone who has had enough of the Progressive nonsense. • And, what do you think our islamist enemies are doing? • • • SOME WERE SPIES IN YOUR STATE DEPARTMENT. As ZeroHedge reported last week, shortly after Trump took office, and even before Rex Tillerson was confirmed as Secretary of State, many State Department officials were removed from their positions (or were forced to resign) as part of an effort to “clean house” at the State Department. The whole affair was hardly covered by the media except to say that Trump was firing needed bureaucrats who possessed all the know-how -- and the firings were covered in Jeff Bezos’s blog, where the Washington Post owner insinuated that the departures were a protest : “an ongoing mass exodus of senior Foreign Service officers who don’t want to stick around for the Trump era.” • Wrong again. One senior State Department official said of a special group of four officials removed from their positions : “Any implication that these four people quit is wrong. These people are loyal to the Secretary, the President and to the State Department. There is just not any attempt here to 'dis' the President. People are not quitting and running away in disgust. This is the White House cleaning house.” But, just a few weeks later, we know why Tillerson was so quick to purge existing staffers : he didn’t trust them. And, it appears his caution was fully justified. Here is the story. • Over on Capitol Hill, three Aman brothers were hired by the Obama administration, and were assigned access to three members of the intelligence panel and five members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs along with dozens of congressmen who employed the suspects on a shared basis. The three brothers had access to top secret information regarding military operations because the committees they allegedly worked for had access to “the most sensitive and secretive government intelligence, including covert anti-terrorism activity -- which gave them direct access to US military secrets, like missions carried out by Navy SEAL Team Six in the Yemen operation. They retained their jobs after Obama left, which is not unusual since their positions were not political appointments. However, they were fired by Trump’s administration within hours after Navy SEAL William Ryan Owens was killed in Yemen during the top secret raid on Al-Qaida operatives. The timeline looks like this : January 20 – Trump takes office, and DOD officials are expecting him to be more willing to approve dangerous missions. January 26 – Rex Tillerson visits State Department headquarters prior to his confirmation, and either terminates or forces the resignation of many existing State Department personnel. January 29 – The Yemen raid is executed, resulting in the death of Navy SEAL Owens. February 1 – Rex Tillerson is confirmed and sworn in as Secretary of State. February 2 – The Awan brothers are terminated on suspicion that they accessed congressional computers without permission. As analysts have said : It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to connect the dots. The firing of the Awan brothers is linked to the Yemen raid where al-Qaida knew the US was coming, and it tragically, but inevitably, ended with Navy SEAL Owens being killed in action. • The mainstream media seemed far more interested in using the details regarding the Tillerson terminations to blast Trump than to cover what could be one of the most dangerous intelligence leaks in years, about which the MSM has been silent. Captain Joseph R. John (Navy-Ret.) has stated that he believes the Moslem Brotherhood “fifth column” has “infiltrated US Government.” If he is correct, the Awan brothers could very well be a part of this infiltration. But, MSM coverage about the Awan brothers does not exist. Are they in jail? What are they accused of? Does the Trump administration suspect them of leaking details about military operations to terrorist organizations? And most importantly, if so, did these three men directly or indirectly contribute to the death of Owens during the Yemen raid? One thing is sure -- “leaks” of all sorts are coming from Obama holdovers, and that makes Secretary Tillerson’s “cleaning house” look like not just the correct move, it leaves you wondering if he checked all the closets. We have all seen political cartoons telling President Trump to debug the White House -- maybe that should apply to all executive departments, too. • • • LEAKS AND OBAMA POLITICIZED INTEL. On Tuesday, the Daily Caller published an article by Lawrence Sellin, Retired Colonel, US Army Reserve about "leaks." Colonel Sellin, a command and control subject matter expert trained in Arabic and Kurdish, and a veteran of Afghanistan, Iraq and a humanitarian mission to West Africa, writes : "Not since the pope declared the Earth flat and Dan Rather inaugurated “fake but accurate” news has so much baloney been disseminated by so many media outlets based on so little evidence. Fake intelligence generating fake news to provide a basis for a fake congressional investigation." • Sellin is talking about a December 9 Washington Post article that stated : “The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency.” The Colonel goes on to say : "Unfortunately for the CIA super sleuths, that may not be true. A day later, the Washington Post said that the FBI did not concur, calling the CIA evidence “fuzzy” and 'ambiguous.' " • Craig Murray, the former UK ambassador to Uzbekistan, who is a close associate of WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange, told the UK Guardian : “I know who leaked them. I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider. It’s a leak, not a hack; the two are different things.” • It is no secret that Barack Obama politicized the intelligence community throughout his presidency. There was the widely-disseminated Centcom analysts' complaint about the 'fudging' of their intelligence work. A September 10, 2015, Daily Beast report said : “More than 50 intelligence analysts working out of the US military’s Central Command have formally complained that their reports on ISIS and al-Qaida’s branch in Syria were being inappropriately altered by senior officials. The complaints spurred the Pentagon’s inspector general to open an investigation into the alleged manipulation of intelligence. The fact that so many people complained suggests there are deep-rooted, systemic problems in how the US military command charged with the war against the self-proclaimed Islamic State assesses intelligence.” One defense official said : “The cancer was within the senior level of the intelligence command.” • Colonel Sellin strongly suggests in his Washington Post article that the source of the Russian hacking is CIA Director John Brennan : "Does anyone seriously believe that Brennan...would not stoop to create fake intelligence in pursuit of some perfidious aim? In 2008, CNN reported that Brennan, a then Obama 'foreign policy and intelligence' advisor, as well as a $2,300 contributor [to Obama's campaign], was CEO of a company whose employee is accused of improperly looking at the passport files of presidential candidates.” • The Washington Times, which broke the passport story, said the State Department’s inspector general was investigating the matter to determine “whether the three contract employees who accessed the records had a political motive or were part of a political operation to obtain personal data on Mr. Obama, Senator John McCain or Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton." At that time, the Washington Times said, officials did not know whether information was improperly copied, altered or removed from the database during the intrusions. And, in July 2008, the Washington Times said the State Department IG issued a 106-page heavily-redacted report on the incident in which over half the pages were completely redacted. • Many believe the breach “was an effort to sanitize Obama’s passport records” of embarrassing or potentially campaign-killing evidence prior to the 2008 Presidential election. • If we fast-forward to October 2016, less than a month before the Trump-Clinton presidential election, a huge numbers of articles were written blaming the release of emails from the Democrat National Committee on Russian hacking. The accusation was backed by Obama intelligence officials, and many of the articles implied a Trump-Russia connection, some even suggesting sanctions or perhaps stronger measures be taken against the Russia. That allegation has never been proven, even in the full report President Obama requested from his intel community and received in the month before the Trump Inauguration. Consequently, the allegations about the Trump-Russia connention are now often explained as Obama and his Progressive politicized intelligence machine, especially the CIA, using fake intel to try to bring down Trump by blaming him for cooperating with Russia to defeat Hillary Clinton last November. • Pulling all these separate examples of Obama manipulation of intel together and bringing them up to the present-day attack on General Flynn, Colonel Sellin concludes : "What we are witnessing today is fake news based on faked intelligence instigated by the failed Democrat Party, promoted by a corrupt media and exploited by a scorned and impotent Republican establishment. It is all being done to discredit President-elect’s Trump’s victory, to disable his administration and to deny the American people a voice in their own government." • So, first we had disinformation connecting Trump to Vladimir Putin and Russian hacking; then we had the fake vote recounts in the critical states of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania [where more votes were actually found for Trump, not Clinton.]; and now we have the baseless, politically-driven arguments about whether the Intelligence Community is stonewalling Trump or lying to him. President Trump said at his news conference on Thursday that the media reports and articles about his not getting good intel are not true. • We do not know. Is Trump right, or is a slow motion coup attempt now underway at the CIA, where Obama loyalists still exert major influence. • • • Accuracy in Media wrote a long article about the CIA and General Flynn the day before he resigned. The article said : "The media have figured out they can’t bring down or impeach President Trump. So they are targeting his Cabinet officials and top advisors one by one. In the case of Michael T. Flynn, the media think they have hit pay dirt. The Washington Post has led the charge, using top-secret surveillance intercepts of communications between Flynn and the Russian Ambassador to the US. It’s more evidence that the CIA, and perhaps the National Security Agency (NSA), are out to destroy Trump’s national security advisor. • “The knives are out for Flynn,” said one administration official quoted in the WP. The Post is wielding the knives provided by anonymous intelligence officials. Nobody knows this better than the Post’s Watergate reporter, Bob Woodward [not his old pal Carl Bernstein who has gone round the bend into Progressive La La Land]. Woodward said recently on Fox News that the CIA was using unverified “garbage” allegations in a campaign to destroy Trump himself. Since Trump has survived, the campaign has taken a new form against Flynn, a close advisor to Trump on foreign policy who had campaigned with him and by his side. • At the heart of this story -- one that may prove to be tragically negative for US security -- are secret surveillance intercepts of conversations whose disclosure is itself a criminal violation of the law. In fact, these illegal disclosures to the press are far more serious than anything Flynn is accused of doing. But, don’t think the media will investigate these crimes. And, remember that the FBI is reported to have reviewed the intercepts and determined there was nothing illicit in what was discussed. But, that finding didn’t stop the CIA and the Washington Post from continuing their campaign to sink Flynn. The so-called sensational news angle is that Flynn forgot what he told the Russian Ambassador and Vice President Mike Pence about the conversations. At his Thursday news conference, President Trump, while saying Flynn is a "fine man," also said that his being misleading with the Vice President was not something he could overlook as President. Too bad. • But, Trump also said he is asking the Department of Justice to investigate the leaks, which he described as "criminal." • • • OBAMA'S MAN BRENNAN AT THE CIA. The real issue, as Flynn has talked about publicly since he left the DIA in 2014, is the evidence of a US role under Barack Obama and his CIA director John Brennan in facilitating an increase of radical Islam in the Middle East. Flynn has cited the evidence contained in a DIA document, declassified and publicly released by Judicial Watch. While Flynn has criticized of the CIA for carrying out the Obama/Brennan policy of supporting Islamists in the Middle East, he writes in his book, The Field of Fight, about how Russian intelligence services have also been involved in supporting radical Islam. This proxy war has damaged Europe greatly, but also the United States, and lies behind President Trump’s desire to curb immigration from Middle Eastern countries racked by islamist violence. This is something the braindead socialist European leaders cannot seem to figure out as they continue to attack Trump's immigration EO, calling it "racist" -- as if Moslems are a race??? • • • DEAR READERS, Obama's CIA Director John Brennan served as CIA station chief in Saudi Arabia, where he reportedly converted to Islam. As CIA director, Brennan told a congressional forum that even voting communist, as he once did, was not a bar to employment at the CIA. Brennan admitted voting communist when attending Catholic Fordham University in 1976. His company was also involved in the cover-up of the Benghazi massacre of four Americans and in the alleged "sanitizing" of Barack Obama's passport in 2008. • Bill Gertz, in his book, iWar: War and Peace in the Information Age, explains how the CIA has become “politicized,” dominated by a “liberal culture,” and resistant to probes of communist or Moslem moles within. Once Brennan, a self-proclaimed former communist voter and reported Moslem with alleged Moslem Brotherhood sympathies reached the top position in the CIA, it’s no wonder that the agency wanted to get rid of Flynn. Accuracy in Media says the CIA has a lot of baggage that needs to be exposed and swept away. • A situation to follow.
