General Flynn May Be the First Victim of Prog-Dem anti-Trump Witchhunts Soon to Be Led by Obama

GENERAL FLYNN RESIGNS. In the first witchhunt against Trump loyalists, President Trump’s embattled national security advisor Michael Flynn resigned late Monday night, following reports that he had misled Vice President Mike Pence and other officials about his contacts with Russia. In a resignation letter, Flynn said he held numerous calls with the Russian ambassador to the US during the transition and gave “incomplete information” about those discussions to Vice President Mike Pence. The Vice President, apparently relying on information from Flynn, initially said the national security advisor had not discussed sanctions with the Russian envoy, though Flynn later conceded the issue may have come up. Trump named retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg as acting national security advisor. Kellogg had previously been appointed the National Security Council chief of staff and advised Trump on national security issues during the campaign. • An administration official and two other people with knowledge of the situation told the Associated Press Monday night that the Justice Department had warned the Trump administration weeks ago that contradictions between the public depictions and the actual details of the calls could leave Flynn in a compromised position. One person with knowledge of the situation said the Justice Department alerted the White House of a discrepancy between what officials were saying publicly about the contacts and the facts of what had occurred. Pence apparently relied on information from Flynn. A second official said the DOJ was concerned Flynn could be in a compromised position as a result. The Washington Post was the first to report the communication between former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, a holdover from the Obama administration, and the Trump White House. Flynn apologized to Pence last week, following the Washington Post report asserting that Flynn had indeed discussed sanctions with the Russian envoy. White House spokesman Sean Spicer, when asked whether the President had been aware that Flynn might discuss sanctions with the Russian envoy, Spicer said, “No, absolutely not.” • Mainstream media says Flynn’s discussions with the Russian raised questions about whether Flynn offered assurances about the incoming Trump administration’s approach to Russian sanctions. Such conversations would breach diplomatic protocol and possibly violate the Logan Act, a 1799 law, largely unenforced, that was aimed at keeping citizens from conducting diplomacy. • Several House Democrats called on Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz to launch an investigation into Flynn’s ties to Russia. House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi called for Flynn to be fired, saying he “cannot be trusted not to put Putin before America.” Flynn’s conversations were also used by Democrats to raise questions about President Trump’s friendly posture toward Russia after US intelligence agencies concluded that Moscow hacked Democratic emails during the election. • • • DID THE CIA AND WASHINGTON POST DO A HATCHET JOB ON FLYNN -- AND TRUMP? When CNN repeated the WP story about a Justice Department warning to the Trump administration last month that Michael Flynn misled administration officials regarding his communications with the Russian ambassador to the United States and was potentially vulnerable to blackmail by the Russians, the message was delivered by then-Acting Attorney General Sally Yates -- the person who refused to enforce the Trump EO on immigration because she thought it "might be unconstitutional." Other top intelligence officials, including James Clapper and John Brennan, were reportedly in agreement that the White House should be alerted -- which could explain why the Washington Post was the originating source of the Flynn story -- many see the WP as the official leak-outlet for the political arm of the CIA. And the most political of all agents ever inside the CIA was John Brennan – an Obama 'believer' and convert to Islam who followed the line that made Obama look good on every national security situation. We can imagine that senior political agents within the “intelligence community” took the position that General Flynn must have lied to Vice President Pence because their interpretation of the phone call they intercepted was that Flynn gave some form (context and actual communication unknown) of forward assurance to the Russian ambassador that a Trump administration would not approach the Russian sanction issue as the Obama administration had (the Obama sanctions were imposed based on a never-proven Russian election hacking conspiracy). So, it is possible that the pre-inaugural intelligence community controlled by Obama was politically motivated to alert President-Elect Trump (through Obama's insider Sally Yates) that their opinion (Flynn lied) was that Flynn had now opened himself up for blackmail from the Russians. Convenient -- and a likely divide-and-conquer political strategy characteristic of Obama's chief spy John Brennan. Add to this the fact that reportedly the FBI reviewed the phone calls transcript and said no communication content seemed to be a Logan Act issue of a private citizen undertaking diplomatic negotiations, and then consider the CIA construct (Logan Act issue or not, Flynn lied), and we have the political wiggle-space where differences of intel opinion leaked to the media -- that is, to the Washington Post -- can create controversy and cause the first damage to the despised Trump White House. It is a perfect example of how political forces in the Washington swamp can keep a controversy going regardless of the factual substance behind it, especially when the information comes from the intel community that can allege anything without fear of being challenged -- because doing so could be an illegal discussion of classified information briefings. • • • RUSSIA REACTS. Foreign Policy, the journal owned by the Washington Post, reported Russian reaction to Flynn's departure : “The Kremlin is perfectly aware that Democrats want to use Russia to discredit and possibly impeach Trump, while Republican elites want to use Russia to deflate and discipline Trump. The Russian government fears not only Trump’s downfall, of course, but also the possibility that he could opportunistically switch to a tough anti-Moscow line in order to make peace with hawkish Republican leaders in Congress.” Foreign Policy is led by CEO David Rothkopf, a top globalist who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a former managing director of Kissinger Associates. Many Russians share Trump's dream of “purging the globalist elites” -- according to the article, a reason why Russian leaders fear he will be targeted for impeachment or "assassination" because of the threat he poses to the globalist world order system. • Last September, prominent Russian TV host and journalist Dmitry Kisiliov warned that the elite could assassinate Donald Trump because of his desire to build better relations with Moscow : “They may just kill him. The US special (security) services do not need such a President. Those services promote hatred toward Russia in order to justify their existence. The American oligarchs also do not need such a President. For these oligarchs, the existing world order ensures solid and stable business. For them, a Trump who is ready to settle issues with Russia means that the finances will flow in a different direction.” • CBS NEWS joined Foreign Relations by reporting on Tuesday that : "The first reaction from Russia to Michael Flynn’s resignation as President Trump's national security advisor came Tuesday from senior lawmakers on the foreign affairs committees in both houses of Russia’s parliament." CBS quoted Konstantin Kosachev, who leads the foreign affairs committee in the upper house, who, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti, said : 'Either Trump has not gained the requisite independence and he is consequently being not unsuccessfully backed into a corner, or Russophobia has already infected the new administration also from top to bottom.' ” According to CBS, Leonid Slutsky, Kosachev's counterpart in the lower house of Russia’s parliament, said it was “obvious that Flynn was forced to write the letter of resignation under a certain amount of pressure....The target was Russia-US relations, undermining confidence in the new US administration. We’ll see how the situation develops further.” CBS also reported that later on a conference call with journalists, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov deflected a question about Flynn, calling it a domestic US matter and then making it clear Vladimir Putin’s government had nothing further to say on the matter. • Lest we think that WP's Foreign Policy and CBS have suddenly moved over to the Trump camp, remember that these articles are attempting to show that there is an unnatural affinity between President Trump and Russia -- an unproven position that exists only in the imagination of Progressives. • • • IS OBAMA GUNNING FOR TRUMP? When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, many analysts believe he was sending a message of approval to his "troops." Obama has an army of agitators -- more than 30,000 -- who will fight his Republican successor at every turn. And Obama will command them from a brick-walled rented home less than two miles from the White House, and a nearby taxpayer-funded office with his own chief of staff and press secretary. Michelle Obama will also open an office there, along with the Obama Foundation. In what’s going to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to organize what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage theTrump administration and its popular “America First” agenda. He’s doing it through a network of Progressive nonprofits led by Organizing for Action, the Obama campaign organization. Obama’s OFA is gearing up for battle, with a growing war chest and more than 250 offices across the country. Since Trump’s election, this little-known but well-funded protest arm has added staff and pushed recruitment of young Progressive activists, stating on its website : “We’re not backing down.” Determined to salvage Obama’s legacy, OFA will do battle on immigration, Obamacare, race relations and climate change. Obama's role is not that of a figurehead. He is intimately involved in OFA operations and even tweets from the group’s account. In fact, he gave marching orders to OFA foot soldiers in a conference call from the White House following Trump’s upset victory : “It is fine for everybody to feel stressed, sad, discouraged. But get over it.” He demanded they “move forward to protect what we’ve accomplished. Now is the time for some organizing. So don’t mope....You’re going to see me early next year, and we’re going to be in a position where we can start cooking up all kinds of great stuff. Point is, I’m still fired up and ready to go.” • • • OFA IS WELL-FUNDED. Activists from OFA helped organize anti-Trump marches across US cities, some of which turned into riots. After Trump issued a temporary ban on immigration from seven terror-prone Moslem nations, the demonstrators jammed airports, chanting : “No ban, no wall, sanctuary for all!” According to the New York Post, OFA is managed by former Obama aides and campaign workers. Federal tax records show “nonpartisan” OFA controls 32,525 volunteers nationwide. Registered as a 501(c)(4), it doesn’t have to disclose its donors, but they’ve been generous. OFA has raised more than $40 million in contributions and grants since evolving from Obama’s campaign organization Obama for America in 2013. OFA, in IRS filings, says it trains young activists to develop “organizing skills.” Armed with Obama’s 2012 campaign database, OFA plans to get out the vote for Democrat candidates it’s grooming to win back Congress to erect a wall of resistance to Trump. It will be aided by the Obama Foundation, run by Obama’s former political director, and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, launched last month by Obama pal and former Attorney General Eric Holder to end what he and Obama call GOP “gerrymandering” of congressional districts. • One of the first tasks in the anti-Trump campaign is to rebuild the ravaged Democrat Party. Obama hopes to install his former civil rights chief Tom Perez as head of the Democratic National Committee. Perez is running for the DNC chairmanship, saying : “It’s time to organize and fight....We must stand up to protect President Obama’s accomplishments. We’re going to build the strongest grassroots organizing force this country has ever seen.” • • • OBAMA & OFA ARE SINISTER. Obama's OFA is training an army of Progressive bullies to carry on his revolution to “fundamentally transform America.” OFA has so far used Obama's community organizer skills to trained more than 30,000 leftist organizers, who, in turn, are training more than 2 million youths in Saul Alinsky street tactics. Through social media, they mobilize flash mobs against “biased cops,” “climate-change deniers,” “Wall Street predators” and “gun extremists.” They hold rallies against conservative foes of gay marriage, LGBT rights, abortion and amnesty for illegal immigrants. And, Obama has reportedly trained hundreds of thousands of junior agitators through AmeriCorps, a Clinton youth program he’s dramatically expanded, and through My Brother’s Keeper, the “racial justice” initiative he launched in the wake of the 2012 death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin to agitate for “school discipline reform” -- that is, 'soft' alternatives to suspensions and expulsions -- and other measures to “improve outcomes for boys and young men of color.” All three of these federally sponsored projects reportedly have crossover with the Black Lives Matter and Occupy Wall Street movements, both of which Obama embraces, sharing manpower and resources, as well as radical agendas, while coordinating activities with copycats of the disgraced and disbanded nonprofit ACORN. Their members are being funded through Justice Department subprime settlement funds extracted from banks. As President, Obama encouraged both BLM and OWS protesters : “We are on their side,” he said of OWS in 2011. And, Obama has met with Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, who earlier this year also got to sit down with the First Lady in the White House. • • • FOMENTING CIVIL UNREST. This President has always encouraged the nonstop civil unrest that has exhausted America. The 1960s protests had a real cause -- fighting for civil rights. But today’s protesters are organized and led by professionals who will march for any real or imagined causes, and sometimes create fake causes about things like Halloween costumes and swastikas drawn in bathrooms. The New York Post's Paul Sperry, who is a visiting Hoover Institution media fellow, calls Obama's "generation of militant jerks" -- collectively known as his “family” -- "irritating, self-absorbed, belligerent brats will 'hands-up, don’t shoot' themselves into every cobwebbed corner of society, and the liberal media will give them the national bullhorn to amplify their hatred every time....Chronic social irritation can do lasting damage to the fabric of a nation. By falsely accusing people of racism . . . or sexism . . . or homophobia . . . or Islamophobia -- or whatever other “ism” or phobia they come up with next -- these agitators are creating angst and hatred in people’s hearts that wasn’t there previously. But maybe that’s the objective. As Alinsky advised Obama and other young radicals : “A revolutionary organizer must shake up the prevailing patterns of lives -- agitate, create disenchantment and discontent with the current values [until] masses of people have reached the point of disillusionment with past ways and values....The time is then ripe for revolution.” Republican strategist Paul Mackowiak warns that the politics in the Flynn attacks are really aimed at President Trump : “[Democrats are] using everything they can find to try to impeach him as a political strategy. They’re obviously going to try to connect this to the President.” • • • PROG-DEMS SEEK TO IMPEACH TRUMP OVER RUSSIA. To see how cynical and obsessed Progressive Democrats are in searching for anything that could lead to disqualifying President Trump from continuing as President, consider Representative Eric Swalwell, who represents California’s 15th District and is the ranking member of the CIA Subcommittee of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Swalwell wrote an Opinion piece that was published by TheHill on Tuesday, under a header linking the Flynn phone conversations to concerns about Russia-Trump connections. Swalwell begins : "With each new day that dawns on the Trump administration, a little more light is shed on possible coordination between the President, his family, his businesses or his campaign and the Russian government before and after November’s election. And as leaders in Congress, we owe it to our constituents and our country to follow that evidence and hold to account anyone who broke the law or has undisclosed relationships with Russia." These are the same Democrats who in the summer of 2016 didn't even bother to return FBI calls warning the Democratic National Committee that its computer system had been hacked by Russians but who later used the hacking to blame Russia for stealing the election from Democrat Hillary Clinton -- not the most pure of Trump accusers, one might say. Swalwell continues : "Recent reports indicate National Security advisor Michael Flynn may have broken the law by privately discussing US sanctions against Russia with that country’s ambassador in the month before Trump took office -- perhaps signaling that the incoming Trump administration would roll back those new sanctions. This is objectionable unto itself, but in context, it’s absolutely intolerable." Then comes the Prog-Dem self-righteous hymn to its own purity of purpose : "The sanctions Flynn apparently discussed with the Russian ambassador were imposed by President Obama after our nation’s 17 intelligence agencies concluded that Russia interfered with our election in order to benefit the Trump campaign. The potential quid pro quo is as clear as day. It looks as if Flynn without legal authority conspired with a regime that had just attacked our democracy’s foundation to benefit Flynn’s boss, and did so to help that regime deal with the punishment for that attack. Flynn’s efforts to walk back what previously had been blanket denials of such contacts merely deepen suspicion about his actions and motives." Swalwell then "explains" that Russian President Putin didn't retaliate for Obama's December expulsion of Russian diplomats because : "Perhaps Putin already had been promised that penalties would be short-lived and that help would be on the way come January 20." • That is FAKE NEWS and FAKE ANALYSIS. And it leads into Swalwell's completely fabricated and undocumented assertion that : "Sadly, this is only the latest instance in which President Trump and most of his team seem pathologically unable or diabolically unwilling to utter a cross word about Putin’s Russia....To protect the future of this great democracy, we must dig down to the root of this discomfiting Trump-Russia connection. We must create an independent, bipartisan commission to fully investigate and make public Russia’s interference in our election through its illegal theft and selective release of private emails, its dissemination of fake news, or by other means. Only an independent, bipartisan commission can dedicate itself and its staff to this crucial investigation full-time, without distraction. And only an independent, bipartisan commission can rise above the jurisdictional squabbles and perceptions of partisan bias that inevitably attach to congressional committees’ probes." • And who would offer a House bill to create such an "independent, bipartisan commission"??? Swalwell himself and Representative Elijah Cummings, the Maryland Democrat who singlehandedly prevented GOP House committes he serves on from fully investigating the Benghazi attack -- two solid patriots determined to save the "great democracy" they have otherwise trashed by supporting President Obama's unconstitutional royal rule by executive order. The bill -- H.R. 356, the Protecting Our Democracy Act -- is co-sponsored by every member of the House Democratic Caucus, says Swalwell : " It’s our fervent hope that ever-mounting evidence of collusion between the Trump team and Russia will convince Republican members to sign on as well." And, the most spurious personal attack on a distinguished American General and the President of the United States is saved for last by Swalwell : "It looks as if Michael Flynn might have lain down with dogs and got up with fleas; we must not let him and his boss drag our nation into doing likewise. Any violation of law in Flynn’s secret chats with Russia’s emissary must be pursued and punished to the fullest, lest we allow the impression that American foreign policy can be easily manipulated to other nations’ ends." • • • PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS SPEWING HATE. The hysterical, hateful reaction of Prog-Dems and their lapdog mainstream media to everything Trump says and does is proof that the defeated Prog-Dem elites are power-crazy. Their rage at losing to a non-pro conservative like Donald Trump reflects its sense of entitlement. Michael Goodwin of the New York Post wrote on Sunday : "I felt that rage when I got an emailed death threat serious enough to turn over to the police. An NYPD officer taking my complaint quickly understood the point : 'Oh, you must be pro-Trump,' she said. 'I am, too, and I get into arguments all the time.' At least we got a laugh out of it. There was no humor for South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, who felt the rage in the form of racist hate mail. A black conservative and Republican, Scott read aloud on the Senate floor messages he received after supporting Jeff Sessions for Attorney General. He was called a 'house Negro,' 'a disgrace to the black race' and an 'Uncle Tom,' among other vile epithets that included the N-word, Scott said. He added, 'I just wish that my friends who call themselves liberals would want tolerance for all Americans, including conservative Americans.' ” And, as we mentioned in a blog last week, Trump Education Secretary Betsy DeVos also got a taste of Progressive hate when Black Lives Matter protesters and teachers union members blocked her entry into a Washington DC public school. • The latest example of Progressive professionals organizing fake protests came when a crowd of 20,000 people in Milwaukee demonstrated against a possible immigration crackdown in a Day Without Latinos march, according to the UK Daily Mail. They were protesting Sheriff David Clarke's plan to enroll his deputies in a federal program that allows them to perform immigration law enforcement functions. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said that it hasn't officially sought that authority yet, but may do so. Clarke, a man impossible to bully, released a statement on his Facebook page last week regarding the event: "Please accept my regrets. I will be working with agents from immigration and customs enforcement helping them identify criminal illegal aliens and therefore cannot attend your rally being held for me." Busloads of demonstrators from a dozen communities around Wisconsin arrived to swell the numbers of local protesters in the mile-long march from Milwaukee's predominantly Hispanic south side to the downtown courthouse. Organizers invited Latinos and others all over the state to close their businesses, take their children out of school, and march. They moved through the streets chanting "Si, podemos!" or "Yes we can!" Milwaukee police officers blocked intersections to allow the massive crowd to move freely to the downtown courthouse. No arrests were made. Jose Flores, board president at Voces de le Frontera, one of the groups organizing the march, said he is fearful of the thought that immigration law might be actually be enforced, and that criminals might actually be arrested and/or deported : "Many peoples got to be afraid, you know. Like many families in this county, there's a lot of hard workers. They are not criminals. We are not criminals....There's a lot of hate in the country now with the new President and we march for that too." • • • DEAR READERS, this unhinged, almost uncontrolled and uncontrollable, rage is the new America. It was hiding in plain sight, hinted at by the contempt that Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, tenured radical professors, college snowflakes and the MSM openly hold for those who don’t share their worldview. But, it took Trump’s victory to reveal them for what they are -- undemocratic, anti-American thugs who will stop at nothing to seize and keep power. As a candidate and in his short time as President, Trump has endured poliitcal attacks unprecedented in modern times. The onslaught harms America, but the rage will be bearable if Trump finishes the revolution he started. If this unwarranted, vicious attack gives you a vague uneasiness because it reminds of the Democrat attacks on President Richard Nixon, it is because there are great similarities. In the 1968-1972 period, Democrats were frozen out of power by a skillful Republican President whose foreign policy and escape from Vietnam left the Democrat Party angry and determined to seek revenge for his success in Vietnam and China, as well as for his roll back and replacement -- with better programs offering more opportunity -- of some of the LBJ Great Society programs that Democrats needed to continue their hegemony over black Americans. The tactical errors of President Nixon that led to the Watergate scandal and his resignation were of his own making, as are General Flynn's if the reports about them are true, but the sleazy beginnings for Nixon were Democrat attacks on anything he proposed. On Tuesday, when Representative Cummings stood before a microphone and said about the Prog-Dem Russia gambit : "What we need to know now is what the President knew and when he knew it," chills should have run down the spines of every American who still loves America and its Constitution. • The most despicable aspect of this witchhunt is that ranking 'elite' Republicans John Cornyn, Roy Blunt, and Lindsey Graham have joined calls for the investigation, and that includes talking to General Flynn. Blunt, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said his committee "should look into it exhaustively. I would think that we should talk to General Flynn very soon, and that should answer a lot of questions. What did he know? What did he do?" Graham was more pointed : "I think Congress needs to be informed of what actually General Flynn said to the Russian ambassador about lifting sanctions." Graham also said on CNN : "And I want to know, 'Did General Flynn do this by himself, or was he directed by somebody to do it?" • Trump is being subjected to all sorts of sleaze because the Prog-Dems, supported by George Soros and soon to be led by former President Obama, are jabbing and body-punching in the hope of landing a death blow to President Trump and the Republic. Beware, America, Beware.

  1. There are a number of very intelligent people who are being very silly about this Michael Flynn resignation and the lead-up to it.

Just bear with me on this for a moment. Several figures in the intel community, including several Obama-era officials, have been leaking like a sieve regarding Donald Trump and his associates. They are doing so often with material that is thinly sourced and include questionable allegations at best, in a vindictive strike against their critics.

In the most part, having been on the receiving end of these leaks for more than a year, I can tell you there is very little there there. Intel sources purposely lie more than any other of the DC sources in my experience, and they are often offended when you note the obviousness of the lie.

  2. You have hit the nail on its little head Bonnie Idee.

Is anyone concerned with who ordered the Department of Justice to investigate and wire tap General Flynn's conversations prior to January 20, 2017 and Noon?

That's the day and time he became a public servant vs a private citizen who can talk with anyone about anything he would wish to.

Sorry, but there seems to be something not right here.

  3. As serious as one wishes to make this Flynn "crash of good judgement" - the quality if judgement that General Flynn has a record of demonstrating his entire adult life in service to our country - it does not reach the level of Watergate, Benghazi, Obama's Iran dealings, the treasonous activity of Hillary & Bill Clinton their entire political life, etc.

Washington DC is full of bad judgement daily. Bad judgement by inexperienced people who in retrospect sometimes stand tall, admit the error and do the right thing for the administration and country. Some do this while others continue to lie and avoid the truth in order to protect their own worthless selves.

General Flynn isn't cut from the mold of these professional politicians. He is cut from the mold of duty and country.

General Flynn's mistake was exactly that a mistake. Only time and a fair investigation will tell if his mistake was a set up.

But let me say that the Trump administration and therefore the country has lost the service of a fine and honorable man. One who has always put God and Country before himself.

  4. A major problem within the Intel community has been the National Security Council. It is dysfunctional, riddle with members and staffers who know NOTHING about the methodology of Intel, and has been in need of reorganization since its inception.

The only reason this is a story at all is that someone inside the government committed this felony. And revealing classified (no matter the level) is a felony.

The question is why did Gen. Flynn start the dialog with the Russians?

    1. Is General Flynn a bit player that is being used as a pawn
    2. Did Flynn make a mistake while trying to be pro-active
    3. Who did initiate the conversations - the Russians or the United States
    4. What roles did other agencies have in this actions with the Russians
    5. To what purpose was this contact started, and did it serve that purpose

On the face this was a disaster, with no game plan, and no cover to withdrawal.

    NO PLAN IN PLACE = D I S A S T E R

  5. I wonder how few understand just what took place with the planned coup to remove General Flynn from his position in the Intelligence community. And how fewer even suspect the toll this will eventually have on our country?
