The Viral Tweet Hashtag "#STFUKaine" Sums Up the Vice Presidential Debate

The vice presidential debate was an eye opener -- and so are today's Facts for the War to Save America. ~~~~~~ I don't often resort to such language, even as a hashtag, but #STFUKaine sums up the VP debate. Tim Kaine -- manic, compulsively vomiting lies and looking a lot like those old videos of Red Skelton playing a drunk with his hat plopped upside down on his head -- interrupted the calm and mature Mike Pence so many times that the hashtag #STFUKaine lit up social media early in the debate and was reportedly the favorite tweet all evening. Tim Kaine's behavior was undoubtedly deliberate, planned to ride roughshod over the polite female moderator who simply couldn't stop him. Kaine smirked as he spun lies about Hillary Clinton's long, troubled history of failures as Secretary of State and nonexistent record as New York's Senator. Kaine's lies and rude behavior were presumably meant to show that Hillary is qualified to be President of the United States and himself, Vice President. God forbid. Moderator Elaine Quijano, an American journalist of Filipino heritage, was the essence of neutrality and deference, but perhaps if she had just once uttered the words of the hashtag #STFUKaine to the Senator (yes, this clod is a US Senator), she would have gotten through to his Hillary-blighted brain. Kaine's peformance reflected badly not only on himself -- and Hillary, the woman who chose him and sent him on his debate mission to make a fool of himself, her and the Democrat Party -- it also reflected very badly on the opinion Kaine and his Hillary-Handlers have of women in general. Quijano proved that being polite, evenhanded and a lovely woman is not enough to stop Democrats from behaving badly. (No wonder Trump yells at them and calls them names -- it's what they understand.) As for Hillary Clinton, her choice of running mate and her thus-far silence on his unacceptable debate comportment, shows once again that her clinging to the 'I am the first female president' mantra is as fake as her qualifications for the office. To be blunt, Hillary Clinton is where she is because of a man – her husband Bill Clinton. And Tuesday night she sent a man -- her "right-hand person" as she calls Kaine -- to defend her non-record and point out Trump's personal failings, because she can't do it herself. Afterall, her husband is Bill Clinton, who sexually harassed women before and during his presidency, while Hillary sent private detectives out to scrape up enough dirt to destroy the victims. The woman's candidate? Give me a break!!! ~~~~~~ The debate's topics and the positions Governor Mike Pence and Senator Tim Kaine took on them were predictable. One defended his positions well. The other did not. ~~~~~~ Mike Pence is a fiscal and social conservative whose record in Congress and as Governor of Indiana reflect his conservatism and his Christian faith. Alhough he was interrupted at least 39 times by Kaine, Pence maintained his statesmanlike composure and stuck to the messages he wanted to deliver. Pence reviewed the Trump team’s plan for jumpstarting the economy; creating jobs; securing the nation against foreign threats through a strong military and a strong President ready to engage with America's allies to confront terrorism and rogue states pushing to become nuclear players; and, bringing immigration under control and dealing with the criminals already in America because of the Obama/Clinton open border policies. Pence looked directly at the TV viewers and reminded them that they personally have experienced the pain of Obama’s stagnating economy, promising that a Trump administration will produce 3.5% growth or better (compared with the current 1.2%) and enumerating four strategies to higher growth : tax cuts, deregulation, unlimited energy production, and better trade deals. Pence reminded Virginians -- the debate was held in Virginia --in the hall and watching on TV that a Trump administration would put coal miners back to work. Pence summed up the Trump economic plan : "a Trump administration will lower your taxes. A Clinton administration will raise them." On foreign policy, Pence's facts forced Kaine into silence after Kaine had claimed that Hillary Clinton “worked a tough negotiation” to “eliminate the Iranian nuclear program,” (Note : The Iranian nuclear agreement was actually the work of Secretary of State John Kerry, her successor.) -- the truth is that the Iran agreement does not eliminate Iran’s nuclear program; when it expires in 15 years, Iran will be poised to complete its nuclear armament program; and, as Pence pointed out, now they have $150 billion provided by the US government to help with their nuclear effort. ~~~~~~ Kaine's defense of Hillary plans resorted to lies because the turth is that Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine are running to give the nation a third term of Obama. It’s no surprise that Kaine had to stretch the truth to defend Obama’s economic record, claiming that Obama has created 15 million new jobs -- a claim often made by Clinton and Kaine on the campaign trail that has already been shamed with Three Pinocchios from the Washington Post, yes, the Post, a newspaper that would rather not publish on a given morning than support a Republican. Kaine described the Clinton plan for economic revival, but the problem is that almost all of it is composed of “investments” by government in infrastructure, education, and child care -- these do not create jobs, they represent the Democrat Progressive spend-and-tax approach that got America into its current mess. Kaine even claimed -- in a wallopaloozer of a lie -- that tax cuts are what caused the recession nine years ago. That whopper -- one that Clinton repeats almost daily -- is refuted by all economists. After losing to Pence on his 'save the world from nuclear attack' Iranian deal argument, Kaine jumped to the false claims that Secretary of State Clinton had gotten the better of Vladimir Putin. Pence responded that Hillary'y "reset" with Russia led to Ukraine, Crimea and the Syrian debacle. The only point of the debate when moderator Elaine Quijano obviously leaned left to Kaine's side, was when racial bias was the topic. Like Clinton does on the stump, Kaine was intent on making racial bias an issue. Moderator Quijano did not disguise her own viewpoint that police are racially biased, citing South Carolina GOP Senator Tim Scott’s claim that he is targeted often by cops because he is black. Quijano pressed Pence, coming back to the issue twice. But Pence countered, defending the sacrifice and commitment of most law enforcement officers. ~~~~~~ Kaine offered almost nothing to convince the audience that a Clinton-Kaine administration would keep the nation safer or produce more jobs. After 90 minutes in the ring Tuesday night with Kaine, it was clear that Mike Pence won the debate by outlining Trump’s vision for the future with a calm, mature assurance that neither Kaine nor Hillary, nor Trump, has. Pence didn’t cite many statistics, but they largely support his views. Kaine and Pence disagreed sharply on many issues, but the most striking contrast was in their demeanors. Kaine was the pitbull, interrupting, attacking, and parroting again and again the fake charges Clinton hurls at Trump on the campaign trail and in paid political ads. Pence chose his shots carefully, refused to bite at every insult, and kept the debate focused on the future. While Kaine flailed and drowned in a torrent of lies, Mike Pence proved that he is ready to step into the presidency at a moment's notice without missing a beat. That is what voters want in a vice president. ~~~~~~ Today's facts for the War to Save America fit nicely into the Vice Presidential Debate theme. ~~~~~~ The Daily Signal (a Heritage Foundation affiliate) reports that Tim Kaine's home state of Virginia, where he served as governor, doesn’t stop noncitizens from voting. The watchdog Public Interest Legal Foundation published findings on Tuesday showing that more than 1,000 noncitizens registered to vote in Virginia and cast nearly 200 ballots in elections before being purged from voter rolls. The Public Interest Legal Foundation released its findings from only 8 of Virginia’s 133 voting jurisdictions, so, the group suggested, the problem of noncitizen voting could be more widespread. J. Christian Adams, a former Justice Department lawyer who now is president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation said Virginia is making no effort to prosecute offenders : “Virginia election officials don’t seem to care that thousands of ineligible aliens have corrupted their voter rolls by illegally registering to vote.” A total of 31 of the 1,046 registered voters who were noncitizens voted between 2005 and 2015, casting 186 ballots, the organization found. Virginia has been a battleground state in recent elections. For example, two races for state attorney general -- 2005 and 2013 -- were determined by fewer than 1,000 votes statewide. So, voter fraud opponents argue, even a few illegal votes can carry a lot of weight. “Virginia election officials don’t seem to care that thousands of ineligible aliens have corrupted their voter rolls,” @ElectionLawCtr says. It is a federal crime and a violation of Virginia law for noncitizens to vote. The federal penalty could be a fine or imprisonment for no more than one year. Under Virginia law, it is a Class 6 felony, punishable by not less than one year of imprisonment and not more than five years. The Public Interest Legal Foundation’s report says : "In our small sample of just eight Virginia counties who responded to our public inspection requests, we found 1,046 aliens who registered to vote illegally. The problem is most certainly exponentially worse because we have no data regarding aliens on the registration rolls for the other 125 Virginia localities. Even in this small sample, when the voting history of alien registrants is examined, nearly 200 verified ballots were cast before they were removed from the rolls. Each one of them is likely a felony." The report says that the Virginia State Board of Elections that oversees the state’s Department of Elections directed local election officials not to provide information to the legal foundation. (The Department of Elections did not respond to phone messages and email inquiries from the Daily Signal.) The Public Interest Legal Foundation sought information from 19 cities and counties in the state, but got the data from only eight : Prince William County [near Washington, DC] had the largest number, 433, of noncitizens purged from the rolls by election officials. Loudoun County was next at 310, followed by Stafford County with 128, the city of Alexandria with 70, Bedford County with 35, Hanover County with 28, the city of Roanoke with 22, and the city of Fairfax with 20. The report says : "In the eight jurisdictions that provided us with lists of aliens recently removed from their voter rolls, we discovered that 31 noncitizens had cast a total of 186 votes between 2005 and 2015. The most alien votes were cast in 2012 followed by 2008, the year President Obama was elected to his first term." The report goes on to criticize the state’s lack of verification for citizenship in voter registration. One thing is obvious. Federal and state voter registration forms ask registrants to affirm their citizenship with nothing more than the check of a box. No documentary proof of citizenship must be shown. It is nothing more than an honor system, one that is unquestionably failing to keep noncitizens from voting. Alexandria General Registrar Anna Leider, who is in charge of elections and voter registration in the city, previously told The Daily Signal that the city provided the Public Interest Legal Foundation with all the information required by law. After it cleans the voter rolls, Leider said, a jurisdiction is not required to check for past voting activity -- whether the name removed is a noncitizen, someone who died, or someone who moved outside the jurisdiction. So, the old-fashioned "Vote Early and Often" as in Chicago has been replaced by "Register and Vote - Who Cares if You're a Ctitzen." ~~~~~~ And, finally, a bit of unpublicized news to bolster us for the fight leading up to November 8. Despite the mainstream polls by CNN, NBC and ABC, the latest poll released Tuesday by Rasmussen shows that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are in a virtual tie nationally : Clinton: 42%; Trump: 41%; Gary Johnson: 9%; Jill Stein: 2%; Undecided: 4%. The poll has a 2.5-% margin of error. ~~~~~~ This is reflected in the Independent Journal Review's comparison of the record-setting crowd that Donald Trump drew on Monday night in Loveland, Colorado, with Hillary Clinton's crowd in Akron, Ohio. In Akron, Hillary held a rally in the battleground state of Ohio. Despite the fact that she was fresh off an endorsement from Akron-born NBA superstar LeBron James, Clinton's rally seems to have met with much less enthusiasm. Team Hillary doled out handmade signs with little hearts on them for Hillary, but one tweet from a #NeverHillary supporter said, "Hillary's campaign is handing out handmade-looking signs at rallies to make it seem like supporters brought them. Pathetic ????" The tweet had 6,271 6,271 likes, so Hillary's clearly staged rallies seem to remind people of what is being said about her whole campaign. Hillary drew a crowd of about 2,600 people, but another tweet posted a photo showing a crowd of about 1,000 people, before the rally was reported to have ended up drawing 2,600. Another tweet said that "the enthusiasm level behind the scenes seemed to be about the same," and posted a photo showing nearly empty press tables. ~~ Compare that with the record crowd of 8,000 people who filled the Loveland, Colorado, Budweiser Events Center with the largest turnout the venue has ever had. And, 2,000 more Trump supporters sat outside to watch the event on big screen TV. General Mike Flynn was the warm-up speaker. One tweet said, "Another HUGE crowd for Trump in Loveland, Colorado tonight! This is truly a movement all across our great country." It had more than 1,226,000 likes. Online photos also showed that outside, lines of supporters were snaked around the building trying to get in. ~~~~~~ Dear readers, do not let any deliberately flattering reports of polls favoring Hillary disillusion you. Trump and his Make America Great Again supporters are in command of this presidential race and on November 8, Trump and Mike Pence will be moving to Washington to fix the mess America has got itself into by voting for Progressive Democrats who rob taxpayers to pay their faithful horde, and who do not care about the difference between earning votes and buying them. Voting is a privilege of citizenship, not another tool used to win elections through lies.

  1. Casey Pops is exactly right - we must stay focused to voting and getting out the vote for Trump & Pence on November 8th.

And do keep in mind that the national press is dedicated to electing Hillary & Kaine. They have so far stopped at nothing - one lie after another & one false accusation after another reported and supported as if they were the gospel.

The lying and false/misleading statements will only get worse between now and Election day on November 8th.

We must stay the course. A Trump victory is within our grasp.
