Saturday Politics -- Memo to Hillary and her Mainstream Backers from John Wayne : "Life is tough! It's even tougher when you're stupid."

Saturday Politics is sometimes about Hillary and the Democrats. ~~~~~~ Here is a list of quotes a friend sent me this week. It is labelled "Great Orators of the Democrat Party" : • "It depends what your definition of 'is' is?'' __President Bill Clinton. • "Those rumors are false. I believe in the sanctity of marriage." __John Edwards. • "What difference does it make?" (re: Benghazi ) __Hillary Clinton. • "I invented the Internet." __Al Gore. • "America is, is no longer, uh, what it, uh, could be, uh, what it was once was, uh, and I say to myself, uh, I don't want that future, uh, for my children." __Barack Obama. • "I have campaigned in all 57 states." __Barack Obama (2008). • "You don't need God anymore; you have us Democrats." __Nancy Pelosi (2006) • "Paying taxes is voluntary." __Senator Harry Reid. • "Bill is the greatest husband and father I know. No one is more faithful, true, and honest than he is.” __HillaryRodham Clinton (1998). • "You have a business. You didn't build that. Someone else did!" __Senator Elizabeth Warren. • And the most ridiculous gem of wisdom, from the "Mother Superior of Democrats" : "We just have to pass the Healthcare Bill to see what's in it." __Nancy Pelosi (March, 2010). ~~~~~~ Now that we understand what and who we are dealing with, let's consider some of the things these Great Minds are doing to and for our Once Great Country, America. As John Wayne said : "Life is tough ! It's even tougher when you're stupid.'' ~~~~~~ Throngs of Haitians, Africans, Russians, Armenians and Guatemalans are being admitted into the United States via the Mexican border with virtually no vetting for security or health risks, senior Homeland Security officials told Judicial Watch this week. Overwhelmed and understaffed border agents are bombarded daily with an onslaught of immigrants from these countries and have been ordered by the DHS to process them as refugees with “credible fear.” Most are camping out in Mexican border towns and going “port shopping” before gaining entry to the US, according to federal officials who didn't want to be named when talking to JW because they fear retaliation. JW’s sources on the border say the overwhelming majority of migrants don’t appear to have been through any hardships. Instead many look to be in great physical shape, even muscular and fit, well-groomed and a lot of them have large amounts of cash. A Border Patrol official in Arizona said : “They’re showing up with a few hundred dollars, if not a few thousand dollars, new electronics, cell phones, tablets, etc.” The ports “are unlike anything I’ve ever seen,” said Patricia Cramer, a veteran border agent who is president of the US Customs employee union in the Tucson, Arizona sector. One federal agent at the San Luis Port of entry in Arizona described the situation as a “mass crisis, like a third-world country.” A DHS supervisor in the region told JW that DHS has issued an order from Washington to all agents : “No one is allowed to speak to the media.” The veteran DHS official said that to accommodate the influx, border agencies have suspended regular business and “people that have actually gone through all the legal and proper ways to get documents are being shoved to the side.” One frustrated DHS official in the border region said she has never seen this type of rampant lawlessness during her lengthy career with the government : “The elected government officials claim we are against terrorism yet they are not doing anything to actually prevent terrorists from entering the country.” The DHS supervisor said the public should show up at ports of entry to see firsthand the problems border agents face every day. The influx of Haitians and Africans has been making headlines in Mexico for weeks because droves of immigrants are being housed in shelters in Mexican border towns while they await entry into the United States under a secret accord with the Obama administration. The migrants’ journey begins in Brazil under a South American policy that allows the “free transit” of immigrants throughout the continent. Ecuador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama facilitate the process by transferring the concentration of foreigners toward Mexico under an agreement whereby Mexico has promised to help them gain entry into the US so they can ask for asylum. Under the plan Mexico gives the immigrants 20-day visas and temporary shelter, but the backlog is out of control because the US isn’t processing the migrants fast enough. This week Mexico’s secretary of the interior told the country’s largest newspaper that DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson assured him the US would speed up the process of admitting the refugees to “alleviate the crisis on the southern border.” US border agents are working 16-hour shifts to accommodate the order, according to various officials on the frontline. DHS did not respond to Judicial Watch’s request for an actual number, but qccording to figures provided to a Mexican newspaper by the Mexican government this week : “More than 15,000 Haitian and Africans, especially from Congo, have crossed into Mexican territory in the last six months on their way to the United States, but more than 4,300 have been stranded on the border with California.” In a separate Mexican news report published this week, the country’s secretary of health declared that the Haitians and Africans that remain in Baja California and Chiapas present serious health risks to Mexico. Another border agent told Judicial Watch that many of the Haitians and Africans “know the administration is going to let them in and they come with an attitude of entitlement.” The Obama administration has in the past abused the “credible fear” provision in immigration law to open US borders -- last year JW obtained government records showing that the administration let hundreds of illegal immigrants stay in the US even though federal authorities knew in advance that an open borders group coached them to falsely claim “credible fear” to get asylum. The operation was part of a scam conducted by an immigrant rights organization called the National Immigrant Youth Alliance (NIYA), which had coordinated demonstrations along the Southwest border in Texas and Arizona. In mid-2014, NIYA orchestrated a racket seeking to bring 250 illegal aliens into the US through the Otay Mesa Port of Entry in San Diego, California. To assure the migrants were allowed to stay in the US, the group had them falsely claim that they had a “credible fear” of returning to their native country. Foreigners can claim asylum under five categories, based on fear of persecution over race, religion, nationality, political opinions or membership in a specific social group. So, let's say 'thank you' to President Obama for packing America's southern border states with "refugees" who are really illegal immigrants. ~~~~~~ Economists and financial professionals say that Hillary’s 'Deep State' economics don’t work. Fixing the retail price of any product destabliizes the market for that product and creates excess consumer purchases that lead to product shortages because of the negative impact of the 'fixed' price on production costs and therefore supply. In the same way, fixing the price of credit by central banks has the same consequences. If you 'fix' the price of credit too high, borrowing becomes too expensive and demand decreases. If you set the price of credit too low, buyers are happy -- until banks get tired of taking losses and money available for borrowing disappears. Only prices that are set by "willing buyers and sellers" in response to supply and demand work. So, when the Federal Reserve 'fixed' the price of credit at zero by engaging in Quantitative Easing -- supplying money to banks at almost zero interest rates -- disaster was sure to follow. Here’s how William Hague, the former leader of the British Conservative Party, explained in The Telegraph why QE is a bad idea : "Savers find it impossible to earn a worthwhile return, which drives them into riskier assets, thus causing the price of houses and shares to be inflated ever higher. Higher asset prices make people who own them much richer while leaving out many others, seriously exacerbating social and political divides and fueling the anger behind “populist” campaigns. Pension funds have poor returns and therefore suffer huge deficits, causing businesses to have to put more money into them rather than use it for expansion. Banks find it harder to run a viable business, contributing to the banking crisis now visibly widespread in Italy and Germany, in particular. Those people who are able to save more do so because they need a bigger pot of savings to get an equivalent return, so low interest rates cause those people to spend less, not more. Companies have an incentive to use borrowed money to buy back shares -- which they are doing on a big scale -- rather than spend the money on new and productive investments. Central banks are starting to buy up corporate bonds, not just government bonds, to keep the system inflated -- so they are acquiring risky assets themselves and giving preference to some companies over others. 'Zombie companies,' which can only stay in business because they can borrow so cheaply, are kept going even though they would not normally be successful -- dragging down long-term productivity. Pumping up the prices of stock markets and houses without an underlying improvement in economic performance becomes ever more difficult to unwind and ultimately threatens an almighty crash whenever it does come to an end -- wiping out business and home buyers who got used to ultra-low rates for too long. People are not stupid; when they see emergency measures going on for nearly a decade, it undermines their confidence in authorities who they think have lost the plot. But they [the authorities] haven’t lost the plot at all..." Hillary and her Wall Street backers are following the script perfectly. Like the House of Cards or Game of Thrones -- the good guys were never meant to win. Fixing prices never makes sense for the public. It makes sense only when you are trying to achieve a result that willing buyers and sellers -- the public -- wouldn’t achieve on their own… and wouldn’t want. QE is designed to steal from the public and reward the privileged elite. Pushing down interest rates punishes ordinary savers; it benefits big borrowers, the rich, and Wall Street. That is the way the financial system is really rigged. It is obvious why Hillary Clinton didn’t mention it during the last debate. She is one of the riggers -- a member of the Establishment… the Deep State. She and her Wall Street backers are parasites benefiting from the rigged QE system. Remember this -- in 2013 alone, she was paid $675,000 for three speeches to Goldman Sachs. She hasn't released the texts of her speeches, so we don’t know what she said, but we doubt that Goldman Sachs was paying for financial advice. Trump is once more right when he says the US must eliminate QE and get rid of the Hillary-Democrat-Wall Street death grip on the US economy. ~~~~~~ Politico says the 2016 campaign "may have reached dispiriting new lows, but voter registration in America has soared to new heights as 200 million people are now registered to vote for the first time in US history." This milestone is a result of aggressive voter registration efforts ahead of the November 8 election and a symptom of the fast-growing and demographically shifting electorate that is expected to benefit the Democrat Party in the coming years. There is no current national database of voter registration because each state independently runs its own election. But TargetSmart, a Democrat political data firm, told POLITICO that the US passed the 200 million threshold in recent days as North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada and New York reported new voter numbers. Tom Bonier, CEO of TargetSmart, said national registration now stands at 200,081,377 voters. The figure means more than 50 million new people have registered to vote in the past eight years. Only 146.3 million were registered as recently as 2008, when Obama first won the White House. The US has seen a remarkable 33% surge in the electorate during a single presidency. The wave of new voters this year has dramatically favored the Democrat Party, according to the Democrats at TargetSmart, which analyzed the expected party preferences of the new registrants in 15 of the first- and second-tier presidential battleground states. Overall, TargetSmart found that 42.6% of the new voters registered this year lean Democrat, and only 29% lean Republican (28.4% lean independent). Bonier said : “As we cross the threshold of 200 million registered voters for the first time, there are signs of an ever diversifying electorate, and one that is more favorable to Democratic candidates.” In a study earlier this year, the Pew Research Center said that the 2016 electorate would be the “most racially and ethnically diverse ever,” forecasting 31% of the vote would come from ethnic minorities, up from 29% in 2012. Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook told reporters this week : “It remains to be seen how different demographics perform proportionally but we are very encouraged by the early signs that we have seen.” Clinton is pushing aggressively for increased turnout among Black, Asian-American and Hispanic voters. The electorate has been growing by leaps in recent years, with Hispanic population growth behind much of the surge. In 1996, there were not even 200 million people of voting-age in the United States, let alone registered voters. The Clinton campaign has been preparing for and predicting record-setting turnout this fall. Mook says : “We do expect more voters to turnout in this election than any in our history.” Previously, the biggest turnout in presidential election history came in 2008, when 131.4 million people voted (turnout dipped slightly to 129.2 million in 2012). By percentage, however, the share of eligible Americans who actually complete ballots is not expected to be anywhere near a record. It has been nearly a half-century since 60% of voting-age adults voted. That last happened in 1968 -- when the Nixon "Silent Majority" turned out massively to elect him. So, while the demographics of the US electorate is changing, it remains to be seen whether it will benefit Hillary Clinton --- or Donald Trump, who is confident that the Silent Majority is again alive and heading to the polls on November 8. Turning out the vote for Trump is truly critical. ~~~~~~ An American Thinker writer has asked a good question : Is poll-leading Hillary Clinton the 'Ghost Candidate'? Joseph Smith says Hillary Clinton is all but measuring the drapes for the Oval Office, but some things in this campaign don't add up : "She exists, but are there any real people behind her? Are you certain anyone is voting for her? While Trump rallies are "once-in-a-lifetime experiences...like Woodstock for working-class conservatives," Hillary is lucky to draw 200 people. No one buys Hillary's books or campaign gear, either....a friend who found only Hillary gear at the airport gift shop...on inquiring, was told that the Trump hats and shirts that come in twice a week are sold out 'within hours.' Hillary's gear? They can't give it away. This doesn't appear odd to you? Hillary is leading in the polls, but no one attends her rallies, no one buys her books and no one buys her merchandise....She is a candidate whose own supporters don't like her....Hillary is the "Ghost Candidate." Democrat VP candidate Tim Kaine is doing no better, says Smith : "Last Friday in Miama he drew just fifty people to a rally. Kaine spoke from the back of a pickup truck with a street-art poster for a back drop, and the estimate of fifty attendees appears to include organizers, a few photographers, and at least two children well under voting age. Yet Mr. Kaine may be one dizzy spell from the Oval Office." Ed Klein, author of several books on the Obamas and the Clintons, has a column out on Mrs. Clinton's maladies. Klein says President Obama and his senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett, "have been so worried about Hillary's health that they recently offered to arrange a secret medical checkup for her." Clinton refused the offer, fearing that "a leak to the media would prove fatal to her presidential campaign." According to Klein : "[H]er doctors have discovered she suffers from arrhythmia (an abnormal heart beat) and a leaking heart valve. They have recommended that she consider having valve replacement surgery, but Hillary has refused because she does not want to risk the negative political fallout from stories about such a serious operation....Hillary suffers from chronic low blood pressure, insufficient blood flow, a tendency to form life-threatening blood clots, and troubling side effects from her medications. Among Hillary's friends, it is common knowledge that she suffers from tension headaches, sits with her feet elevated, nods off to sleep while studying her speeches, gets dizzy and has frequently stumbled and fallen at her home in Chappaqua. She asks her closest aide, Huma Abedin, to rub her shoulders and bring her cold compresses for her neck and forehead. So, Joseph Smith concludes : "Hillary is leading in the polls but doesn't draw crowds, can't give away her merchandise, and is not liked by her own supporters. Her running mate is equally uninspiring and acted like an irritating jerk in his one moment under the lights. Mrs. Clinton is in failing health and is unlikely to be able to withstand the rigors of the presidency. Makes perfect sense to me -- poll-leading Hillary has no crowds, no sales, [and no yard signs according to the New York Times, which labelled them "quaint, almost historical"]. Her inept running mate may be one dizzy spell away from the Oval Office, and she has an opponent generating historic levels of enthusiasm. Despite what her media supporters would have us believe, it just doesn't add up." ~~~~~~ Dear readers; The mainstream media spin -- and many of the polls -- are giving us the impression that Hillary Clinton has already been elected President. But the IBD/TIPP tracking poll, the most accurate national poll during the 2012 election, shows the race between Trump and Hillary is a dead heat. Earlier this week, we looked at the latest Rasmussen poll and the Los Angeles Times tracking poll -- both showing a statistical tie with Trump favored in the LA Times poll. And now, the IBD/TIPP poll -- a collaboration between Investor's Business Daily (IBD) and TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence (TIPP) -- which has been the most accurate poll in recent presidential elections, shows the same thing. Donald Trump held onto a 1-point, 41%-40%, lead over Hillary Clinton as the IBD/TIPP presidential tracking poll showed that their third and final presidential debate Wednesday had little impact on either candidate. With a bit more than two weeks until the election, just under 12% of respondents said they still weren't sure which candidate they favored. The national poll of 789 likely voters has a margin of error of +/- 3.6 percentage points. On Wednesday, when Fox News moderator Chris Wallace asked whether Trump would respect the results of the November 8 election if he feels the vote was fraudulent or "rigged," Trump answered : "I'll look at it at the time. I'll keep you in suspense." Hillary called Trump's words "horrifying." Yet, despite a media and political uproar over Trump's comments -- The New York Times' piece Thursday ran under the headline "Donald Trump Vs. American Democracy," while the Huffington Post's shouted "Trump's Shocking Answer On Respecting Election Results Is The Only Debate Moment That Matters" -- voters didn't appear to agree. The IBD/TIPP poll showed little if any erosion in Trump's support. What explains Trump's continued lead? The IBD/TIPP pollsters say one key fact that has shown up in the three days of IBD/TIPP polling is that Trump holds a substantial 42% to 31% advantage over Clinton among Independent voters. Independents, who in general tend to be socially liberal but fiscally conservative, now make up about 34% of the electorate, IBD/TIPP data show. Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson, who in the most recent poll garners 13% of the Independent vote, and Green Party nominee Jill Stein, who takes 5%, seem to have siphoned off more Independent support from Hillary than from Trump. And, if wou were still willing to believe the mainstream media when it pronounced before the debate on Wednesday that “third debates don't matter," consider that despite that, following the debate, CNN continued with its focus group of undecided voters. When the CNN announcer spoke to the group after the debate, she asked them whether the debate had changed their position at all, and if so, whom they were likely to vote for now -- they were split about equally for Trump and Clinton. BUT, when she asked the focus group who won the final debate, the shock of their answer was written all over her face -- the undecided voter focus gorup overwhelmingly said that Trump had won. And, that says it all.

  1. The United States has been remarkably protected for decades. America’s wars are fought in other people’s countries. Except for 9/11 the public has never been subjected to the horrors routinely inflicted by America in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and so on, even fewer Americans have been in a schoolyard fight, baited a hook, fired a gun, or lived a week in the woods. We are a coddled nation.

There is no solution. Complaining about degraded music, semi-literacy, and barnyard taste accomplishes nothing. Soon there will be none left who remember what has been lost. Once broken, the chain cannot be repaired.

It is over. The breakdown is irreversible, either by Donald or Hillary. Electing Trump merely postpones and makes all feel better as the last dose of medicine is taken.

And as John Wayne said ... we have been very stupid.

  2. Donald Trump has been a bit impulsive, a bit demeaning, sometimes inaccurate, and an alleged misogynist, but has still managed to rattle the cage of those who buy favors from government and threatens the reign of what appears to be a criminal element that has taken over American government and surprisingly still has a fighting chance to become a populist President.

We need to remember that it hasn’t been Donald Trump that is continuously being paid off by foreign sources to do their bidding. It is now revealed the former Secretary of State solicited a $12 million donation from a foreign government [New York Post Oct 21, 2016] while Donald Trump is ridiculed for not donating enough money to charity. [News Examiner] One is a crime. The other is just being miserly.

Some (rigged) polls have shown Hillary is favored over Mr. Trump. Yet her trustworthiness is questioned by a majority of Americans.

With ALL the proven lies, cheating, money accumulations via insider trading information, she took home gifts (furniture, china, flatware) intended to furnish the White House and was forced to return some items and pay for others, and let’s not forget the string of sudden deaths that shadow her past and most recent anthologists passing.

Women who vote against Mr. Trump are overlooking issues that matter, such as trade, taxes, employment, for issues that don’t really matter much – misogyny. Oh, I won’t excuse a Presidential candidate for pinching the rear end of attractive women, but that standard of conduct certainly hasn’t been held for Joe Biden the current vice President who in recent days has been shown in videotapes groping women in public.

Yes, Donald Trump would make an imperfect President. He wouldn’t be the first.

  3. Mrs. Clinton said in 2011 of the western overthrow of Libya’s leader Muammar Khadaffi. “ … “We came, we saw…he died” boasting and beaming from ear to ear. Shamelessly paraphrasing Caesar’s famous summary of his campaign around the Black Sea. Mrs. Clinton, who seems ordained to be America’s next president, should have been rather more cautious in admitting to murder.

Hillary is always mendacious, firmly in the pockets of Wall Street, the Neocon hawks, and the arms industry, never having accomplished anything on her own, always riding Bill’s coattails, having a disastrous record as SecState, always for sale. With her, we know what we will get – much more of the same.

The template for the western overthrow of Khadaffi – aka “regime change” – was next employed in Syria, with vastly more destructive results but less success. Expect to see more color revolutions when Mrs. Clinton takes over the White House.
