That is certainly true. Dylan was right.
And, before I forget, Dodie jumped in yesterday, and I hope we see more Dodie comments because the comment was useful, Thanks.
The November 2012 election is critical. That's why Romney got $5.5 Million in contributions in the day after the decision fell. And, even more interesting, the latest ABC poll shows that only 21% of independent voters want to keep Obamacare in place. That's an invitation for the GOP and Romney, if ever there was one. And the overall poll shows a 46%-46% tie about what to do with Obamacare. So, we have room to work in.
Putting practical politics aside...
Taxes - impractical if ever there was anything impractical - if you remember Boston and its first Tea Party, there is a lot we can do about taxes. I'm not recommending revolution, but nothing smokes out politicians like angry voters on the Mall in Washington and marching all over America. It worked in 2010, at a time when most Americans said there was nothing that could be done. There was. It worked. 2102 is no different, and maybe it will be easier, if we can get the voting public in gear.
On the Supreme Court front - lower federal appellate courts will now have to sort out what the law means in light of the Court decision. And, you can be sure there will be more Supreme Court cases to follow. The legal pundits on TV who say that everything is now cast in concrete are wrong...sometimes even lawyers are wrong. Wow, what an insight.
Happy Sunday, everyone.
No pundit has ever won an election an NEVER will. Pundits are akin to fallen politicians. Neither could do the job. Pundits are ex staffers generally for ex office holders.O ex professors. Reformed campaign managers - reformed from alcohol or drugs or thievery and are out of jail. I laugh at a lot of the anchors on Fox News that were once "Lawyers". I wonder what type of Lawyer they were 10 YEARS AGO and not since. I wouldn't trust a doctor who had not practiced or at least taught medicine. Do you want a surgeon giving you a heart transplant that spent the last 10 years reading news headlines on TV. NO you don't. TV news people are getting to be as reliable as athletes on HGH.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to hear as much as a whisper from the RNC on the court decision. We must all decide now if we are going to be involved in this campaign. Take the state of California Mitt Romney has no chance in hell. He couldn't even buy this state, there's not enough money - and there are plenty of Tea Parties there.
If we decide to get involved there is no rest until 8 PM on Nov 6th, 2012. If you cant make that commitment that's OK. It's much like not having he time to serve on a jury where the case will last 6 weeks or so. Who dos have that free time. But we don't serve on those juries we get the OJ Simpson trial over and over.
I go back to a statement I made in a posting yesterday on "Allergies, Politics..."-
Power is the problem. The elected officials in side the Washington Beltway don't understand that. They think they are the power, we are only their source of money. WE THE PEOPLE are the the power, we always have been. And if that changes then the whole concept of The United States of America changes. And there will be one more spineless nation in the room full of many spineless nations on this planet. And chaos will be the rule of the day. And the socialist nations of Europe will begin to develop their much sought after ONE WORLD NATION.
For me I will never give up hope. Never stop trying. Never, Ever, Never. I've put too much time and effort into this nation. Too much sweat and tears, and blood.
That's it for time this evening with the Fifth and Drum Corp
A good evening to you all
Thank you for yet one more excellent read.
Reading this is almost better than NASCAR
ReplyDeleteI had to chuckle on the Deb's, comment that this is ALMOST that's the operative word here, better than NASCAR.
