"He feels for the common people. He’s going to do what’s best for all Americans.”
President TRUMP VISITS BEAUREGARD, ALABAMA, TO COMFORT THE LITTLE TOWN. It was the kind of act we have come to expect and admire in the President. But, for some reason, even such simple acts of love for his fellow Americans in pain cannot be acknowledged by the Progressive media. • • • "TRUMP GETS HUGS, HERO'S WELCOME." That was the headline in Liberty Headlines last Friday. The article wen on : " ‘For him to leave Washington, DC, and come down to little Beauregard says a lot about the President,’said Chad Roberts, a former Georgia police officer who used to ride motorcycles with David Dean, 53, one of the 23 people killed when the twister touched down on Sunday. • President Trump and first lady Melania Trump on Friday flew in Air Force One to Fort Benning, Georgia, and then took a helicopter to Beauregard, Alabama, to tour the disastr area and meet with survivors of the string of tornadoes that raked across this town last weekend, destroying homes and leaving 23 dead. The President and Mrs. Trump were greeted in Alabama by Republican Governor Kay Ivey and Democrat Senator Doug Jones, who toured the damage earlier in the week. The Presidential helicopter spent about 25 minutes circling over the tornado zone, which extended some 70 miles across Alabama and Georgia. Before he left Washington, the President toldthe press : "The people of Alabama, they got hit very hard by the tornadoes.” The President was accompanied by HUD Secretary Ben Carson, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and FEMA Deputy Administrator Peter Gaynor, Alabama's GOP Senator Richard Shelby, and GOP Representative Mike Rogers of Alabama. • Critics complained about his Alabama response, sniping at him for seemingly playing politics with disaster aid after he tweeted : “FEMA has been told directly by me to give the A Plus treatment to the Great State of Alabama and the wonderful people who have been so devastated.” But fans in Alabama dismissed the left-wing attacks and expressed gratitude to him for his efforts. “He’s going to help people, regardless; to him that’s irrelevant,” said DuWayne “Moose” Bridges Jr., who wore his red MAGA hat and hoped to catch a glimpse of Trump. “Anytime he goes anywhere people are going to try to play politics. But we know even though he’s a wealthy, successful businessman, he feels for the common people. He’s going to do what’s best for all Americans.” • • • LOCAL MEDIA COVERAGE OF THE President'S VISIT. Here is the report of the newspaper in Alabama's capital, the Montgomery Advertiser : "A tiny, tornado-ravaged Lee County community welcomed Donald Trump on Friday as the President toured the damage left by a twister that claimed 23 lives. American flags lined Highway 51 less than a mile from where a tornado shredded several mobile homes. Across the street from the devastation, a large red, white and blue sign read : 'The Beauregard community thanks President Trump for his support and caring. Making America great again.' Cindy Sanford had escaped from her home minutes before the EF4 tornado touched down last weekend. She lost her house. At least three of her neighbors lost their lives. Standing outside the ruins of her double-wide across the street from the sign, she said the community should welcome America’s polarizing President and leave politics aside. 'I know everyone’s talking about it. Many are excited. Some are saying they’re going to boycott, but this is not the time or the place to speak what you feel about Trump. He’s coming here trying to be supportive to these people,' Sanford said. 'It’s an honor for your President to take time out of his job to come here and help and talk to everyone. It means a lot to me. I was very excited to see him, you know, to see him drive right in front of you,' Sanford said. 'I know there's a lot of hate for Mr. President Trump, but this shows he cares. It shows he does have a heart.' The President, alongside Governor Kay Ivey, surveyed the destruction across Beauregard while meeting with victims’ families....Trump’s motorcade then arrived at Providence Baptist Church, where he met with survivors and volunteers inside the church and was greeted with cheers from the large crowd standing across the street. There, Trump and first lady Melania Trump lauded recovery efforts before signing hats and some Bibles. 'It’s an unbelievable feeling that he came to show his love and support to our community. You wouldn’t think that, for little Beauregard, Alabama, he would come,' said Brenda Childers, one of hundreds standing across the street to see Trump. Before leaving, the Trumps stepped out of the motorcade to stand before each of the 23 crosses planted in front of the church this week....Audrey Cruz knew five of the victims, including her mother Sheila Creech and Creech's fiance Lynn Grimes. Trump met and hugged the son and brother of Grimes during his visit. After listening to the President at Providence, Cruz said, 'It felt awesome that they came all the way here to Alabama. They were really down to earth,' Cruz said. 'If you didn’t know it was the President, it’d be like you and I speaking.' Down the road and past the waving row of flags, Roy Brook stood on a corner waving his own stars-and-stripes affixed to a painter’s pole. Brook drove from Birmingham to Beauregard on Friday morning to show support for the community reeling from disaster, he said. 'Of course it’d be cool to get a glimpse of the President, too, but mostly I’m here to encourage the people that are in the fight,' Brook said. Of Trump’s visit, Brook said, 'I think it’s a good thing for him to be there.' The outpouring of appreciation for Trump’s arrival extended to Beauregard High School, where community members stopped to scrawl messages thanking the President on a banner welcoming him to town. One wrote : 'Thank you for the acknowledgment of all those families that lost it all.' Dennis Long stopped by Friday morning to add a simpler message : 'Thank you, sir.' 'It’s pretty awesome for the President to come down to such a small community, small area like Beauregard. We have a lot of tragedy,' Long said. Seven-year-old Conner Moulton carefully crafted each marker stroke as he signed a short message of his own. 'I wrote the 'Beauregard Strong' and 'Thank you for your help,' the second-grader said. 'He's helping the people who got affected and lost their homes in the tornado.' " • I urge you to read the Montgomery Advertiser article and look the touching photos of a President who cares enough to reach out to suffering Americans, to talk with them, hug them, and take time to hear their stories and comfort them. The photos show an America that the mainstream media goes out of its way to hide. You can watch the President's visit on YouTube at < https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V-sKmz10is >. • President Trump told the White House press pool afterward, “It’s hard to believe actually....We saw things you wouldn’t believe.” • • • A PAINTING CAPTURES THE SOUTHERN BORDER DIVISION. Western Journal's Conservative Tribune published an article on Thursday that discusses the painting. Conservative Tribune's Ben Marquis wrote : "While much of the art world and entertainment industry leans decisively to the left, there are those among them who hold a more conservative ideology, and some of those are increasingly speaking out about their beliefs through the use of their own talents. One of those is conservative artist Jon McNaughton, a Utah-based artist who over the years has painted a number of compelling portraits that were first exceptionally critical of former President Barack Obama and are now supportive of President Donald Trump. McNaughton’s latest work of art centers around the current sharp divide between Trump, who aims to secure the nation by securing the southern border, and numerous prominent Democrats who have staunchly opposed and obstructed those efforts. The painting is titled 'National Emergency,' and it features a number of prominent Democrats standing atop a tattered American flag -- while holding various flags representing other nations or groups -- as the President looks sadly upon the lost doll of a little immigrant girl forced to make the dangerous and illicit cross-border journey into the US....as a caravan of countless illegal migrants approach the border in the distance behind them. • You will want to view the painting on Twitter at < https://twitter.com/McNaughtonArt/status/1103331898271576065/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1103331898271576065&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.westernjournal.com%2Fct%2Ffamous-trump-painter-redefines-border-emergency-newest-work%2F >. • Painter Jon McNaughton tweeted this : "@McNaughtonArt
My new painting – 'National Emergency' 'They hold the flags they cherish...And trample America’s interests...And endanger millions of people...It is a national emergency.' – Jon McNaughton For a list of figures standing on the flag: https://tinyurl.com/y5xu6fyo." • Ben Marquis tells us that : "In McNaughton’s description of the work, he wrote, 'In my new painting, the Democrat establishment declares victory against President Trump as he announces a national emergency to secure the border. They proudly hold the flags they represent and cherish. Our politicians have become traitors to this country, in most cases they are more loyal to whichever country, lobbyist, corporation, or special interest group that will keep them in office and line their bank accounts. I’m sick of how they trample our flag and do not seek America’s interests first. Trump stands apart from them with his head bowed contemplating the state of our border situation. He sees a lost doll left behind by a little girl forced to make the dangerous journey. To not build the wall is to allow people on both sides of the border to suffer needlessly.” • In the painting, says Marquis : "McNaughton provided great detail in his representation of those who currently stand most opposed to his border security efforts, and shows by way of the flags they are holding where their interests lie, ahead of those of the American people. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is holding the flag of communist China, while Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren holds one for the European Union. They stand beside Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who are holding a Mexican flag together. To the other side of Pelosi and Schumer stand failed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton with an Iranian flag and former President Obama with a United Nations flag. In the background stands New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with a New York flag alongside Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar, who hold up a Palestinian flag. California Representatives Adam Schiff and Maxine Waters can also been seen holding a California flag. Meanwhile, a veritable horde of people are crossing through the desert toward the border in the far distance behind all of them, as the Democrats cheer about blocking Trump’s efforts to halt that flow of humanity." • As with the Beauregard, Alabama, tornadoes, President Trump did his best to reach out and negotiate with Congress -- namely, the Democrat House and its Speaker, Nancy Pelosi -- to find an acceptable solution to the ongoing crisis at the southern border. The President's outreach failed because the Democrat leadership, led by Pelosi, refused to talk to him. As a result of the total lack of Democrat cooperation, President Trump finally had to rely on congressionally authorized presidential powers to declare a national emergency to directly address the situation himself. AND, as we know only too well, the Insane Democrats are fighting that, too, and have refused to relent in their incessant opposition to everything done by Trump, up to and including trampling on the desires and interests of the American people who voted to elect the President so despised by the Progressive Left. • • • A SECOND WORD BOUT THE POPE'S DECLARATION ON HUMAN FRATERNITY. It was recalled again by American Thinker's Jeffrey Ludwig on Sunday : "On February 4, 2019, Pope Francis and Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb, grand imam of Al-Azhar, signed a 'Document on Human Fraternity For World Peace and Living Together.' " The Document states its purpose : "...to fill the earth and make known the values of goodness, love and peace." Ludwig says : "Here we see that rights and equality are not ends in themselves, but have a teleology or purpose. Even Thomas Aquinas assured the Catholic Church that salvation, not any type of worldly happiness, is the purpose of life. Yet the Pope abandons his most glorified philosopher. Instead, the signers are leading toward the actualization of goodness, love, and peace. So the purpose of life in the Document is at odds with Catholic philosophy. But we might also ask, would the approximately 800 million Protestants agree with 'the actualization of goodness, love, and peace' as the purpose for life? While not all Protestants will agree with the Westminster Shorter Catechism (published 1649), the answer it provides is that the purpose of life is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Christians are to be good -- i.e., follow a path of holiness; to love one's neighbor as ourselves; and to love God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our mind (Matt. 22:39, 37); and 'as much as lies in you, [to] live peaceably with all men' (Rom. 12:18). But these good things are not separately or together the purpose of life. Protestants have known this for the past 370 years, if not longer. Further, at the beginning of the first and eleventh paragraphs of this Document, the signatories cry out passionately, 'In the name of God...' Yet this sense of urgency raises the question: in the name of whose God? What indeed is the name of God? Islam rejects the hypostatic unity (oneness) of the Trinity of Christianity and, instead, defines Christianity as a polytheistic theology. Christ's very nature or essence ("ousia") defined by the Council of Nicaea in 325 as the same as God the Father ("homoousia") is totally rejected by the Islamic world's theologians. The Document goes on to provide a brief overview of the successes and dislocations found in the modern world." • Ludwig notes : "While acknowledging many successes in various fields of endeavors in the modern world, the Document deplores that the world has 'generated, and continues to generate, vast numbers of poor, infirm and deceased persons.' Anyone will be happy to confirm, along with the authors of this Document, that the world's mortality rate continues to be 100%, so at least in that respect, the Document is accurate. However, in New York City, there are many hospitals and other institutions trying to deal with poverty and life-and-death issues, but where are the Islamic institutions in dealing with the teeming millions of NYC? There are Jewish, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Catholic hospitals and social services agencies that serve all people regardless of religion, national origin, race, sexual orientation, age, or disability. Yet, despite many private Moslem schools in the area, there are no Islamic institutions whatsoever serving the needs of all persons. Further, to what extent are Moslem refugees being supported or welcomed into Moslem-majority nations? For the Pope even to give credence to language about 'compassion' from his Islamic counterpart is to this writer even more offensive than to have that claim made by the Islamic co-signer. Also, it is worth noting that the signees of the Document 'affirm also the importance of awakening religious awareness and the need to revive this awareness in the hearts of new generations...' However, the truth is that the life of true Christian faith offers salvation, not mere 'religious awareness.' In a free society, anyone is free to accept or reject that salvation claim, but 'awareness' alone does not provide the embrace of the godhead that true religion requires. Lastly, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where this Document was signed, Catholic churches can operate freely, although Islam is the official religion of that country. It should be noted that apostasy laws are in effect, so no Christian organizations can try to win converts, and conversion is punishable by death. Would any honest observer consider this an environment of reconciliation? How can the Pope sign this Document in a location like this?" • • • DEAR READERS, we really should ask, How can the Pope sign such a Document at all? • That brings me full circle back to President Trump. • Matthew 7:16-20 (King James Version) states, in the words of Jesus : "16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Today, we often say "You shall know them by their works." -- "bearing fruit" is a Biblical concept used to describe the thoughts, words, and deeds produced by someone's soul. To obtain eternal life a soul must prove it has repented of sin by bearing the Good Fruit of Love (obeying the 10 Commandments). There is a millennium of discussion about whether 'good works' are required for salvation (a Catholic concept) or whether accepting the grace of Jesus is what matters (a protestant concept). But, whichever pinhead one chooses to dance on, the truth is that anyone who accepts the grace of Jesus will automatically love and help his fellow men, and anyone who performs good works for his fellow men will undoubtedly have the spark of Jesus's grace in his soul. That is President Trump - he seems to react instinctively to suffering and catastrophe, trying as best he can to comfort and help those affected. We know that he is a Presbyterian -- his mother was Scottish, and Scotland is the home of Calvinist Presbyterianism -- and so he must have been imbued by his mother with a sense of 'working as if all depended on him, but praying as if all depended on God.' That is the essence of grace and good works blending into one. • The words of Jesus "Ye shall know them by their fruits" is part of the Sermon on the Mount, and follows the great lessons of The Beatitudes : Matthew 5:1-12 King James Version : "5 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him : 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." • In today's world, with its flood of hate, violence, and unbending political partisanship, we ought to pause occasionally to reflect on our own good works, and on those of President Trump. We, like our President, are badly treated for what we try to do to help others. But, we also stand firm for what is Christian and refuse to be co-opted. That would be a good source of reflection for Pope Francis, who seems so dazzled by the need for "doing something" that he forgets that true "good works" spring from the heart and soul, and cannot be accomplished merely by putting words on paper. The Pope, the mainstream media, and the Insane Democrats are 'big' on words. But, where are their 'good works'? Here, President Trump is showing them the way, if only they would open their hearts and understand.

President Trump is willing and wanting to be right if bringing wrong is a possibility. He willing to stand the test of “accountability”. Everyday with everything he says to the American people. He stands “reasonable” for American while he is in the White House.
ReplyDeleteHe is uniquely “liable” to fulfill the job of President as he is to add another skyscraper to the skyline of NYC or any other Metropolis. President Trump doesn’t accept failure.
The American people are attracted to his drive and energies. He is success driven
It’s a dreary Monday morning and it seems the country is upset over the Manafort sentence of 48 months in jail.
ReplyDeleteOf course the so called minority citizens are all in favor of stuffer sentencing for the Conservative, white who have just been railroaded by the - their way of leveling guilty v not guilty.
All crimes are not the same and all sentences are not uniform. Facts and circumstances.
