Forget Pelosi and Her Radicals; Forget Pocahontas and Bobbly-head Romney; Support the President and Secure the Border. MAGA !!

FAKE REPUBLICAN ROMNEY AND FAKE SPEAKER PELOSI HIT THE SWAMP RUNNING AS THE DEMOCRAT HOUSE OPENS FOR BUSINESS. And, it will be just as bad for America as we imagined. • • • GOP LOSES CONTROL OVER CLINTON INVESTIGATION IN THE HOUSE. But, not before outgoing Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte and Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy -- both retiring -- summarized their findings and called once more for a special counsel to be appointed to probe decisions made in the Clinton email and Russia probes -- and the “disparate way these two investigations were seemingly conducted.” • The incoming Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff of California -- that alone ought to send cold chills down the spines of Republic-loving Americans -- tweeted dismissively about the Republican letter last week, writing, "This is how the House Republican effort to undermine Mueller by ‘investigating the investigators’ ends. Not with a bang, but with a Friday, buried-in-the-holidays whimper, and one foot out the door." • Schiff's comments aside, Fox News reported on Thursday that : "The letter to Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and DOJ Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz included significant new details, specifically concerning 2016 statements from then-FBI Director James Comey. In July 2016, Comey took the unusual step of publicly recommending against criminal charges over Clinton's use of an unsecured personal server for government business, though the decision to pursue a criminal case ultimately rested with the Justice Department. 'Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case,' Comey told reporters. Later that month and again in September 2016, Comey testified the decision was 'unanimous.' However, Republican House investigators uncovered evidence to the contrary, saying a top FBI lawyer and others relayed that the bureau was divided over the Clinton case recommendation. 'FBI General Counsel James Baker, however, initially did believe the [Clinton email] case could be made from an evidentiary standpoint and multiple witnesses testified to the Committees the FBI's decision not to recommend charges was not 'unanimous,' they wrote. The seven-page letter revealed that Baker, the FBI's former top lawyer, was a critical witness on several aspects of the investigation. He also spoke to allegations that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein discussed secretly recording the president and removing him from office two weeks after Comey was fired in May 2017, which Rosenstein adamantly has denied. The chairmen said Baker testified 'there were discussions amongst senior FBI and DOJ officials about President Trump's fitness for office, invoking the 25th Amendment, and the prospect of wearing a recording or transmitting device during conversations with the President.'....Fox News reported on Sept. 22, based on a source who was in the meeting, that Rosenstein's 'wire' comments were viewed as 'sarcastic.' Rosenstein also released a statement saying, 'I never pursued or authorized recording the President and any suggestion that I have ever advocated for the removal of the President is absolutely false.' Still, the letter said, 'Baker relayed comments attributed to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein as relayed to him....There are questions DAG Rosenstein alone can answer and while the allegations are serious, his denial was forceful. The questions deserve to be asked and the DAG deserves his chance to respond.' " • Fox News first reported some of the Baker revelations in October, including the fact that then-FBI lawyer Lisa Page and then-Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe consulted Baker, who told House investigators he believed Rosenstein was serious. Transcripts from Comey's closed-door interviews in December, meanwhile, revealed his lawyer threatened to shut down the session after persistent questions from Republican Representative John Ratcliffe of Texas over whether the former director mishandled classified information when he shared memos documenting conversations with Trump with Columbia University law professor Daniel Richman and lawyers David Kelley and Patrick Fitzgerald. Fox News said about the latest Comey interview : "Comey previously testified to a Senate committee that he leaked at least one memo to Richman to kick-start the special counsel investigation. Ratcliffe questioned who received the memos and whether they had appropriate security clearances, stating that 'four of the seven' memos 'have been identified either by you [Comey] or by the FBI as containing classified information.' On multiple occasions, Comey declined to answer questions about his handling of the memos, stating Richman, Kelley and Fitzgerald now act as his attorneys. 'I can't -- I'm not going to answer questions about my communications with my lawyers,' he said." • • • IS ANTIFA BURIED IN PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRAT CONGRESSIONAL OFFICES? The New American and Daily Caller reoprted on December 28 that it could be true. The Daily Caller wrote that Antifa has penetrated the top echelons of "progressive" Washington, DC; as reported by the New American : "One of the 'anti-fascist' group’s top agitators, DCNF divulged last week, has been masquerading as a mild-mannered activist during the day, and during that time, enjoyed access to top Democrats. But operating under aliases, Joseph Jose Alcoff has confessed his hard-line communist views and advocated violence. Cops, rich people and the President, he has said, must be murdered. Alcoff has also been involved with Smash Racism DC, the cadre of activists who forced Senator Ted Cruz and his wife to flee a restaurant when Democrats were smearing US Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to stop his confirmation. Smash Racism also famously besieged Fox talker Tucker Carlson’s house, which terrified the television star’s wife." • The New American asks : "How many violent radicals staff other activist groups active on Capitol Hill? Alcoff 'spreads socialist and communist propaganda when going by the name ‘Jose Martin,’ the DCNF reported, and 'identifying as ‘Chepe,’ Alcoff advocates for the violent overthrow of the government and for the murder of the rich. He has relished the mainstreaming of Antifa’s militant tactics in the Trump era. Yet, DCNF reported, 'the agitator has made great efforts to separate his fanatical personas from a third identity, his legal name : Joseph ‘Jose’ Alcoff. Under that identity, the 36-year-old has worked as a payday campaign manager for Americans for Financial Reform since 2016, where he advocates for reforms of predatory loans before members of Congress.' DCNF mined the dangerous radical’s Twitter account for this compelling ore : In July 2017, he urged his nonviolent followers on Twitter to 'stop limiting yourself,' adding that 'the left wins nothing w/ nonviolence.' In October, Alcoff advised his law-abiding Twitter followers that they’re 'doing it wrong' and later offered advice on how to execute 'a good neck punch.' Alcoff holds an especially militant view towards law enforcement, an institution he believes should be dismantled completely. 'Police lives don’t matter. They can all burn in Hell,' he tweeted in September, for example. His tweets also glorify the killing of his political opponents. For example, in July 2015 he tweeted that Donald Trump would make for 'such a spectacular public guillotining' shortly after the mogul declared his candidacy for President. 'I truly hope he has a very public death at the hands of the pitchfork wielding exploited, a public execution that befits Trump’s stature,' he wrote. Alcoff also tweeted that he wants to join 'a conspiracy to destroy the United States from within.' " • The Daily Caller also reported that : “In his professional capacity as Alcoff, he’s been quoted in press releases from Democratic Senators Dianne Feinstein of California and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin and appeared at an event with Democratic Representative Don Beyer of Virginia outside the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in March and has been pictured alongside Ohio Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown and California Democratic Representative Maxine Waters." • Waters, as The New American has reported, has openly and repeatedly called for public harassment of Trump administration officials and the President’s supporters. But at any rate, it’s no surprise he would gravitate to the leftist congresswoman, says the New American, quoting Alcoff as 'Chepe' saying in 2106, “We have got to dispense with nonviolence” in dealing with perceived “fascist” enemies. “You have to expose them and you have to expose where they live, their names, what they do for a living. Never let them be anonymous, and never just push their rhetoric without directly countering it.” Alcoff was reported by the New American as yelling to a TV camera in Chicago in 2005 : “I’m a communist, motherf****r.” Alcoff again reportedly yelled the phrase at a Ron Paul supporter at a six-month anniversary event of Occupy Wall Street in March 2012. • The New American reports that Americans for Financial Reform "scrubbed its website of Alcoff’s name after DCNF’s report published, but restored it after the news outfit caught the revision." • The New American asks the right question : "Now that Alcoff’s activities are exposed, a question : How many more of these dangerous radicals work in top-level 'progressive' outfits in DC, and how many have access to Democratic leaders and influence public policy. And given what Waters has said, what does she know about his activities and those of her own staff members?" • We can be sure that the Democrat House majority will not investigate these disturbing allegations. • • • MITT ROMNEY, FAKE REPUBLICAN AND REAL #NEVERTRUMPER. Liberty Headlines said it all in one headline : "Swamp Dweller Mitt Romney Question’s Trump’s Character." Mitt Romney, the flabby 2012 GOP candidate and fierce #NeverTrumper in 2106, has questioned the "conduct" of President Trump : "His conduct over the past two years...is evidence that the President has not risen to the mantle of the office." • This is the bobbly-head who called presidential candidate Trump a "fraud," a "phoney," a "con man' and "vile" in 2016, but last year thanked Trump for his endorsement as Romney ran for a senate seat from Utah. Now, Romney says, when asked if he regretted accepting the President’s endorsement on Twitter ahead of the Utah primary : “He was endorsing me, I wasn’t endorsing him.” Puts a whole new bobbly-head bounce on endorsements, doesn't it?? • After Donald Trump endorsed him for the presidency in February 2012, saying “Mitt is tough, he’s sharp, he’s smart,” Romney replied in a speech at the Trump Hotel Las Vegas when he said : “Being in Donald Trump’s magnificent hotel and getting his endorsement is a delight. I’m so honored and pleased to have his endorsement, and of course, I’m looking for the endorsement of the people of Nevada." Romney flipflopped again after Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election, doing what the Washington Post called a “stunning 180 on Donald Trump” after calling him a fraud and phoney and con, by sucking up to President-elect Trump in the hope of becoming his Secretary of State. Then, in early 2018, when Romney faced a serious primary challenge to be the Republican candidate to succeed retiring Utah Senator Orin Hatch, Romney gratefully accepted President Trump’s endorsement which Mr. Trump expressed in this tweet : "@realDonaldTrump. @MittRomney has announced he is running for the Senate from the wonderful State of Utah. He will make a great Senator and worthy successor to @OrrinHatch, and has my full support and endorsement!" To which Romney replied : "@MittRomney. Thank you Mr. President for the support. I hope that over the course of the campaign I also earn the support and endorsement of the people of Utah." • Maybe Romney is a bobbly-head on a jack-in-the-box spring -- hiding, popping up, head bobbling, to say whatever it takes to get him what he wants at the moment. Right now, joining the US Senate, Mitt Romney must feel he needs the support of the anti-Trump mainstream media and the Washington establishment. • In the Washington Post op-ed piece, Romney noted he had not supported Trump as the Republican Party’s nominee in 2016. He said he had hoped the Trump campaign would refrain from name-calling and had not. I dare anyone to find a more sleazy, less self-aware, and more self-aggrandizing take on one's own past acts than that. Romney -- the labeler of Trump as a fraud, phoney, and con -- wanted Donald Trump to "refrain" from name calling. Takes guts, that, and a lot of bobbly- heading when the truth looks him in the face as he shaves. • On Wednesday, Romney told CNN’s Jake Tapper : “A leader has an impact, not just on policies but also on the character of the people who get to watch the person and I think in that scenario the President needs to focus more attention and hopefully make some changes there....I think it’s very important for a President to demonstrate the qualities of integrity and honesty, forthrightness, empathy and respect for the institutions of our democratic republic....I know what my principles are, what I think is right for the county and I know that right now the country is as divided as I’ve ever seen it.” AND, we might add that Senator Romney is adding to that divide by re-opening the establishment's #NeverTrump self-inflicted wounds and forcing his own niece, Ronna McDaniel, the Republican National Committee chairman, to tweet : "POTUS is attacked and obstructed by the MSM media and Democrats 24/7. For an incoming Republican freshman senator to attack @realdonaldtrump as their first act feeds into what the Democrats and media want and is disappointing and unproductive. https://t.co/ArhI7Bi7bo — Ronna McDaniel (@GOPChairwoman) January 2, 2019." President Trump tweeted : "Here we go with Mitt Romney, but so fast! Question will be, is he a Flake? I hope not. Would much prefer that Mitt focus on Border Security and so many other things where he can be helpful. I won big, and he didn’t. He should be happy for all Republicans. Be a TEAM player & WIN!" — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 2, 2019." • As for 2020, the former 2012 presidential candidate went on to say that that he hasn’t decided whom he will endorse in the 2020 election : "I’m going to wait and see what the alternatives are. I think it’s early to make the decision.” Romney added that while he has publicly voiced his disagreements with Trump, he does stand with him on important policy matters, specifically border security. “Well," Romney said, "with regards to the shutdown, I’ll be with Republicans on that front, which is I think it’s important for us to secure the border.” • Mitt Romney’s comments prompted suggestions online that he sounds like he is considering challenging Trump for the nomination in 2020. Romney said he will treat Donald Trump as he would any President, either in or outside his party : “I do not intend to comment on every tweet or fault. But I will speak out against significant statements or actions that are divisive, racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, dishonest or destructive to democratic institutions.” Others have said Romney is trying to draw attention to himself and become a go-to congressman for media comments about President Trump. Later, Romney announced that he would not be running for the presidency, shocking those who were positive his op-ed was designed to pave the path for him to run in 2020. Why else would he have taken shots at the President, especially after Trump helped him win election as a Utah Senator? BUT, Romney also told Tapper that he wouldn’t necessarily support the President’s 2020 reelection campaign. • Many social media commenters find this flip-flopping to be very annoying. According to social media, while Trump may not possess the best character traits in the world, at least his stands for something. Here's are two examples : "Look : I’d rather have a man of Trump’s character in the White House; than a man like you Mitt. At least with Trump I know what he stands for. You? You stands for nothing & flip flop constantly! You were against him; until you wanted his endorsement. You’re a snake, Mittens. Go away!" AND "Your lack of backbone/wishy-washy words & character are why U didnt get elected President.Trump may not be a lot of things. But at least he stands for something/does what he says. Can’t say the same for you. There isn’t anything U won’t do/say to get ahead. Tossed with the wind." Brit Hume got it just right, as always : "Because nothing is more appealing to Republican voters than a guy who is happy to have Trump’s support in the campaign, then turns on Trump after the election and writes a nasty piece about him for the Washington Post. https://t.co/pFt8rv29m3— Brit Hume (@brithume) January 2, 2019." And, Newt Gingrich had the last word on analyzing Romney's attack on the President : "I can't figure out why, strategically, he thought that was helpful to him. I think Romney would like to be President now. Stylistically, they're so different. I suspect every morning when Romney gets up he gets angry, just because Trump is so different than he is." Newt added that there were many things Romney could have written about while entering the Senate, including the government shutdown or even Senator Elizabeth Warren's decision to run for President, given she is from Massachusetts, a state where Romney once served as governor. Newt also pointed out that Romney may have a history as a political powerhouse, including his 2012 presidential nomination, but as the Senate "does not care who you used to be," Romney will need to prove himself as a freshman member. "He needs to learn how the Senate works," said Gingrich. "He'll just plain lose. You can't take Trump on in his own party. It's not possible." • • • SPEAKING OF POCAHONTAS. American Thinker's Thomas Lifson called Warren "Dead phony walking." Lifson noted that : "Elizabeth Warren obviously has no concept of the damage she already has done to her future in national politics by revealing her DNA test results showing that she has less Native America DNA than the average citizen of this country. How else could she have issued her bizarre Instagram video announcing her presidential campaign? The live-feed video she posted to Instagram (but did not archive) lives on and has made her into a national joke, confirming that deep down, the genuine, authentic Elizabeth Warren is a phony. The estimable William A. Jacobson of Legal Insurrection dubs the video her 'Dukakis Tank Moment,' a judgment shared by Boston Herald columnist Jaclyn Cashman. Warren's cringeworthy event -- streamed on Instagram Live on New Year's Eve -- is a friendly chat with her followers. 'I'm here in my kitchen -- and um -- I thought maybe we'd just take some questions and I'd see what I can do,' Warren said. At which point she not-so-casually said she would grab a beer. Seems innocuous enough. Beer has a time-honored place in presidential politics. But this resident of Cambridge's la-di-dah Linnaean Street and erstwhile Harvard elitist is really an extra oaky chardonnay kind of lady. Her poor husband was so befuddled -- apparently not fully clued in on the stunt -- that when she offered him one he declined. More of a 20-year-old tawny port sipper, no doubt. The most authentic thing about the video, in fact, was its bogusness : Warren once again trying to pretend she is something she is not....Faking comfort and familiarity in a situation that is the exact opposite rarely works, except with top-tier actors. Warren's Instagram video, in which the prissy professor pretended she was an average Joe using working-class vernacular and said, 'Hold on a second -- I'm gonna get me a beer' was cringe-inducing, as was the body language purporting to be slugging down a brewski." • You can watch the Warren Instagram, via Legal Insurrection at < https://youtu.be/AU47jTZP0_0 >. But, frankly, I don't advise it unless you qre a sadist at heart. It is just too painful. I actually wanted to get her a glass of wine and let her get her presidential 'bug' out of her system by crying on my shoulder. But, we know that once bitten by that bug, nobody ever fully recovers -- not Pocahontas and not bobbly-head Romney. • • • PELOSI IS THE SURVIVOR. The political powerhouse from California was elected Speaker of the House with 220 votes, to 192 for Republican Representative Kevin McCarthy. She is as tough as Donald Trump, which should make for great political theatre in 2019, as she tries to slip an Italian Renaissance dagger into his back and he tweets her into a comic caricature of herself -- not hard to do, really. • No one budged on funding the wall at President Trump’s closed-door meeting on Wednesday with congressional leaders, so the partial government shutdown persisted. They’ll try again on Friday with another White House meeting but, Pelosi said after Wednesday's meeting : “There is no amount of persuasion he can use. We can go through the back and forth. No. How many more times can we say no?” When the new Congress convenes Thursday with Democrats taking majority control of the House, Democrat leader Pelosi said they’d quickly pass legislation to re-open the government -- without funds for Trump’s border wall. But the White House has rejected the Democrat package, and Republicans who control the Senate are hesitant to take it up without Trump on board. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called it a “total nonstarter.” Trump said ahead of his White House session with the congressional leaders that the partial shutdown will last “as long as it takes” to get the funding he wants. Pelosi has called Trump’s proposed wall along the US-Mexico border immoral. The President criticized Pelosi for visiting Hawaii for a Christmas vacation during the shutdown. • At the Capitol on Wednesday, Pelosi said she hoped Republicans and the White House “are hearing what we have offered” to end the shutdown. The partial government shutdown began on December 22. Funding for the wall has been the sticking point in passing essential spending bills for several government departments. The Democrat package to end the shutdown would include one bill to temporarily fund the Department of Homeland Security at current levels -- with $1.3 billion for border security, far less than Trump has said he wants for the wall -- through February 8 as talks would continue. It would also include a separate measure to fund the departments of Agriculture, Interior, Housing and Urban Development and others closed by the partial shutdown. That measure would provide money through the remainder of the fiscal year, to September 30. BUT, no money for the wall beyond the possible $1.3 billion already offered. • • • DEAR READERS, Nancy Pelosi says she does not want to bring Articles of Impeachment against President Trump as a political move, BUT Gateway Pundit, quoting the Washington Examiner, reported on Wednesday that Pelosi has hired Douglas Letter, a 40-year veteran of the Justice Department and former associate general counsel during the Clinton Administration. Pelosi said : “Douglas Letter has an outstanding and highly decorated record of achievement in service of America. He will bring deep experience and legal expertise to the House, as he counsels and represents our institution, Members and staff as House General Counsel.” In reality, Letter is described by Gateway Pundit as "a DC swamp creature who has spent years working with corrupt players such as Janet Reno and Eric Holder to name a few, via the Examiner : 'Letter’s long career for the DOJ included roles such as deputy associate attorney general under former Attorney General Janet Reno, and senior counselor to former Attorney General Eric Holder. His decades of service, which included working on cases such as Obergefell v. Hodges, the 2015 landmark case which legalized gay marriage, was praised by the likes of Holder and Benjamin Wittes, editor-in-chief of Lawfare and friend to ex-FBI Director James Comey.' The anti-Trump crowd cheered after Pelosi hired Douglas Letter to House general counsel -- he may be the guy who gets the ball rolling on President Trump’s impeachment." Pelosi is wily and dangerous -- while the GOP, when it was the House majority, did very little with NO indictments of the Deep State and waiting until the last minute to subpoena Comey and Lynch, Pelosi is already getting her impeachment bullpen set up; all the while saying she is not in favor of a "political" impeachment. Beware !! • On Thursday, one Democrat congressman said he plans to take advantage of the new majority by introducing articles of impeachment against Trump. Representative Brad Sherman is reintroducing the impeachment articles that he first filed in 2017 with Democratic co-sponsor Representative Al Green of Texas, according to Sherman's spokesman. • Pelosi hates President Trump so we will have a real war until 2020, or she runs out of steam and leaves in a wheelchair. • AND, we can count on freshman Senator Mitt Romney to be on her side if the Articles of Impeachment are filed with the Senate. Senator Romney says he is not running again, but the just-retired Senator Corker, himself a #NeverTrumper, told CNBC this week that he is going to watch in 2019 and that he knows Romney and would not say that he would not back Romney if he runs against President Trump in 2020. • That will be the big political story in 2019 -- will the GOP establishment gang up against President Trump with Mitt Romney as their preferred candidate. That would split the GOP in two -- probably officially. And, a lot depends on the outcome of the shutdown and the President's success in getting funding for the wall. As Senator Graham said on Thursday : “If he gives in now, that’s the end of 2019 in terms of him being an effective President....That’s probably the end of his presidency. Donald Trump has made a promise to the American people : he’s going to secure the border. Every Democrat in the past has voted for border funding, now they’re changing their mind. That’s the end of us if we give in on this issue as Republicans.” Senator Graham added that he hopes incoming Senator Mitt Romney, who publicly criticized President Trump in a recent op-ed, “and everybody else knows, this is a fight worth having.” • A Republican friend told me on Thursday : "If the GOP does that with Romney it will be more disastrous than '64 when the establishment backed Scranton..." • President Trump has plenty of support in Congress and there will be a fight within the GOP if he is challenged for the 2020 nomination. Forget the #NeverTrump RINOs in Congress. Make America Great Again.
