Even Cher Has Told Pelosi and the Democrats to "Play Politics Later" and Give President Trump the Money He Needs for the Wall

SOMETIMES LIFE IN THE POLITICAL NEWS TRENCHES ISN'T PRETTY. But, it often tells an important story. • • • CHER BIT THE BULLET FOR FEDERAL WORKERS. She tweeted out a series of tweets that told the Democrats to quit playing politics and give the President his wall money. It was an astounding set of tweets because Cher has been one of the most vocal anti-Trump voices in Hollywood, using every chance she gets to disparage the President and his officials. Cher made it clear that she hasn't changed her position about the President or the wall -- but she wants federal workers to get their paychecks. • Cher's key tweet in the series was this -- her caps : "STOP THE FKNG SHUTDOWN??PPL ARE SUFFERING….PLAY POLITICS LATER?? THERES NO WINNING WHEN AMERICANS ARE SUFFERING ??????I HATE HIM & EVERY CORRUPT THING HE DOES BUT U GUYS ARE PUTTING LIVES IN DANGER. IS IT ONLY ABOUT NOT GIVING IN??JUST DO IT — Cher (@cher) January 9, 2019" • Later, Cher tweeted : “STOP [the] SHUTDOWN B4 TRUMP does,” lest he be made out to look like a hero, and Pelosi and crew conversely be made to look like “OBSTRUCTIONIST SWAMP SCUM.” • Cher later deleted that last tweet, but it was caught and circulated beforehand. • As you can guess, Cher took some "Tweet Heat" for attacking the President -- "Umm @cher, Trump is already a HERO and the Dems have already shown themselves to be obstructionist swamp scum. But kudos to you for getting it – they are f*cked 6 ways to Sunday! “Don’t die on this hill”, nice touch!" • And, in a surprise, the federal workers Cher was worried about tweeted these remarks -- "On the show you said 'it’s implausible' and 'can’t be true' about federal workers supporting the shut down. I’m a federal worker. I will be working without pay. I support the shutdown! I know many federal workers who support it." /// "I’m a federal worker & I’m not worried. I always plan for a shutdown, because u guys fail miserably at doing your jobs!! I FULLY support the President for keeping his promise for border security. We believe in security, stopping illegal aliens, crime, drug and human trafficking." /// "I’m a gov worker. My only worry is that this partial government shut down won’t be painful enough to get the wall funded. Even at the cost of skipping a few pay checks I’d support a full shut down to get the job done." /// "Mr President I’m a government worker and retired military, support you one hundred percent keep it shut down till we get our wall. They elected Obama and got their jacked up health care with no Republican voters. We voted you in make them give us our wall." /// "I’m a federal worker who is mandated to work and I don’t know when my next check is… I say this loud and clear to @realDonaldTrump I SUPPORT YOU AND WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO PROTECT OUR COUNTRY, STAY STRONG WITH THIS FIGHT! #MAGAveteran #MAGA2020." /// "I’m a federal worker not getting paid right now. I support what the President is doing 100%." • • • ALVEDA KING AND HER COLLEAGUES SUPPORT PRESIDENT TRUMP AND THE WALL. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke at the March for Life Rally on Thursday. Here is an excerpt of her speech : "Some claim that building a wall is a 'medieval solution' to a modern problem. The wheel is an ancient solution, too. Nobody’s complaining about that. POTUS is on target. Walls do work; as in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah, walls are still viable solutions. Why now? Just days away are the March for Life and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, yet America is in crisis at the southern border. As an African American voice for justice, a defender of the sanctity of life, and perhaps most importantly, a Christian evangelist, I stand with President Trump as he labors to build a wall. From my perspective, compassion trumps terror. Our prayers are needed more than ever. We must rally around the wall to avert crisis. Having survived, and in many cases overcome tyranny, oppression and racism in America, we as African Americans are close to the heartbeat of justice and compassion. We are not color blind. Our hearts are touched by the plight of all children and their families -- not just at the border, but here at home as well. Children in the womb, in cribs, in school, in jail, with parents behind bars, on the streets, at our borders – many are in danger. We must have responsible compassion for them all. My goddaughter, Angela Stanton King, co-founder of the American King Foundation writes : 'The process of draining the swamp, is a process of seeking genuine true justice, jubilee, pardon, and forgiveness. We’re going to continue to discover that there are some very thin lines between right, wrong, justice, and injustice. Meanwhile, we live in a world where security is necessary. The Wall plan is viable.' Reverend Bill and Dr. Deborah Owens, Founders of CAAP write : 'Christians have a responsibility to help those in need, including the undocumented immigrants at our southern border. At the same time, we must also respect the need to secure our borders and ensure the safety of all US citizens. The African-American community has been gravely injured by unfettered illegal immigration, which has resulted in loss of jobs, loss of housing, and other economic hardship.' Collectively, we stand with President Trump in the battle for the soul of America. I'm praying that POTUS builds the wall in the manner that Ezra and Nehemiah did in days of old. As Commander and Chief of America, POTUS is fighting for the soul of our nation. In his address to the nation on January 8, 2019, President Donald J. Trump speaks to the people of America....“This is a humanitarian crisis -- a crisis of the heart and a crisis of the soul,” he asserted. Thankfully, the President is not alone in his efforts to serve the people of America as well as the immigrant families who are flooding our border....Speaking from a platform in support of diversity and compassion, Bruce LeVell, Executive Director of NDC Trump writes : 'As a follower of Christ, my convictions are to set up processes to aid those subjected to evil. Meanwhile we must protect our citizens. Mr. President, build that wall!' Bishop Leon Benjamin, Coalition of Leaders United makes an urgent appeal : 'This is a Humanitarian Effort. A Crisis of the Soul and Heart! Time to Stop It and Keep America Safe! Secure Our Borders and Build the Wall!' Day Gardner, Founder of National Black Prolife Union speaks in support : 'President Trump is presenting brilliant and compassionate solutions to the crisis. I pray that the masses unite in prayer and action to avoid disaster.' Reverend Dean Nelson, Chairman of the board for the Frederick Douglass Foundation agrees : 'The proper role of our government is to protect its citizens before it doles out benefits to others. Securing our boarder is a necessity to protect American workers and crack down on Human trafficking.' In conclusion, we urge all Americans to pray for a speedy reconciliation among our leaders for the sake of the children, and the soul of America." • Recently, while Congress was debating the merits of funding a 2,000-mile wall along the US southern border, King stood beside the President as he signed into law the First Step Act, a bipartisan overhaul of the criminal justice system that will give judges more sentencing flexibility, especially for nonviolent drug crimes. Alveda King pointed to the President and said : “Do y’all remember when this gentleman said, ‘We will say Merry Christmas again?' And so what a Christmas present.” King, a stalwart Christian anti-abortion conservative, is a long-time Trump supporter and is often seen at his side when he is specifically trying to reach out to African-Americans. She, along with HUD Secretary Ben Carson, visited the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture with President Trump in 2017. A former Georgia Congresswoman, Alveda King was onboard Air Force One earlier this year when Trump signed a measure granting Georgia its first national historic park at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site near downtown Atlanta. This past February, Trump nominated her to to serve on the Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Commission. Last January, she told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution : “I do not believe President Donald John Trump is a racist. The economy’s up. Jobs are up in the black community. There is great promise to get a lot of people who have been unfairly incarcerated out [speaking of the future First Step Act].” Later, at the First Step Act signing, she told President Trump : "So we want to say thank you, for caring about all Americans. And one more point : They asked this man when he was candidate, ‘What are you going to do about race? And racism?’ She said that Trump replied, 'We need for people to be safe, secure, blessed, working if they need to.' 'And so I just want to say, thank you, you keep your promises. So keep going, sir!' ” • • • THE PELOSI & SCHUMER FARCE PLAYS ON. BizPac Review reported on Thursday that : "According to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the ones who acted stubborn and intransigent during a meeting held Wednesday afternoon at the White House in regard to the ongoing government shutdown were congressional Democrat leaders, not President Donald Trump. This version of events contradicts the version outlined by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer during a press conference held outside the White House immediately after the meeting. According to Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the President had a 'temper tantrum' and refused to negotiate with them over putting a halt to the ongoing shutdown." Speaking with reporters immediately following the press conference held by the congressional Democrat leaders, McCarthy suggested that these claims were bald-faced lies : "The time that you had cameras in the meeting -- I think we need to bring them back, because what Schumer described the meeting to be was totally different than what took place." Last month the President allowed the media to record a meeting between him, Vice President Mike Pence, Pelosi and Schumer in regard to the then-upcoming shutdown. During the “debate” over how to resolve the then-growing crisis, both congressional Democrat leaders complained about the presence of cameras for reasons that remain unclear. • But, Wednesday, McCarthy made it clear that cameras rolling would have prevented the possibility of the Fake report from Pelosi and Schumer about what happened Wednesday at the White House meeting on the wall and shutdown. McCarthy said not only did the President start it by handing out candy to everybody -- confirmed by various media outlets -- but he made it abundantly clear that he wanted to “get this solved,” according to McCarthy. “I want to turn the floor over, the President said, to Speaker Pelosi and Schumer,” McCarthy, the House minority leader recalled, “Tell us what offer you have....She began to argue whether we even had a crisis or whether facts are true. [She] turned to Schumer, again, who said, we just have to open the government up. The President would go back and forth in a negotiation, in a very respectful way.” Meanwhile, Schumer allegedly continued to raise his voice in growing anger. “The President then turned to the Speaker and politely asked her, OK, Nancy, if we open the government up in 30 days, could we have border security? She raised her hand and said no, not at all. The President calmly said, I guess you’re still not wanting to deal with the problem,” McCarthy said. • Here is Schumer’s version of events : “We saw a temper tantrum because he couldn’t get his way, and he just walked out of the meeting. I asked him to open up the government....And I said, just why won’t you do that, we will continue to discuss, we’re willing to discuss anything. And he said, if I open up the government, you won’t do what I want. That’s cruel, that’s callous and that’s using millions of innocent people as sort of pawns, and it was wrong. And then a few minutes later, he sort of slammed the table, and when leader Pelosi said she didn’t agree with the wall, he just walked out and said, we have nothing to discuss.” • This narrative completely differs from the one recounted by McCarthy, who responded : "The way they have displayed and their behavior is embarrassing to me. And the way to come out to this floor and talk about a meeting in a manner that did not take place in there is disturbing to me.” McCarthy also denied Schumer’s claim that the President had slammed his hand on his desk. The President has denied this as well, tweeting : "Cryin Chuck told his favorite lie when he used his standard sound bite that I “slammed the table & walked out of the room. He had a temper tantrum.” Because I knew he would say that, and after Nancy said no to proper Border Security, I politely said bye-bye and left, no slamming! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 10, 2019." • BizPac Review says it isn't clear who is right, but adds : "...the congressional Democrat leaders’ complaints last month about being forced to 'debate' publicly suggests it’s them. Why else would they have complained about transparency? It was as if they wanted the discussion to be private so they could lie about it afterwards." One tweet comment put it into the proper perspective : "@SenSchumer Well, you blew it. You lied after the meeting, so that was your last off-camera meeting ever with President Trump. From now on, and forever, you’ll be on camera and televised. Transparency? You got it." • • • TED CRUZ SAYS THE CONSTITUTION IS ON THE PRESIDENT'S SIDE. Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz stated Wednesday that using eminent domain to construct a wall on the US-Mexico border is “absolutely” permitted under the Constitution. It’s clear eminent domain is a power that is protected in the Constitution, that is created in the Constitution, precisely for public purposes,” Cruz said to Spectrum News, adding, “Securing the border is a legitimate area for eminent domain where landowners would get reasonable and just compensation.” • President Trump has floated the idea of using eminent domain to take a stretch of land from Texans residing on the border in order to construct a wall. The federal government has already begun to survey the Lone Star State and construction would require private citizens to surrender a portion of their property. Former Texas Representative Robert “Beto” O’Rourke has been an outspoken critic of constructing any form of barricade on the border. O'Rourke, the ex-congressman who ran an unsuccessful campaign to unseat Cruz, referred to an existing chain-link fence in his hometown of El Paso as “bad enough.” Democrat O'Rourke has insisted border security would be improved if Americans “ensure that we are maximizing the potential from everyone” and by “treating each other with respect and dignity.” One of O’Rourke’s last acts as a member of Congress was to tweet on December 28 a now-viral video criticizing the plan to build a border wall, which seemingly condemned the use of eminent domain. The video claimed a wall would demand the federal government “seize land from Americans through eminent domain” and “exile hundreds of thousands of acres of the US to a no man’s land between the river and the wall.” Of course, Democrats are now using the "eminent domain" question as another argument against President Trump and the wall. • BUT, Senator Cruz -- former and longest-serving Texas Solicitor General in history and Supreme Court clerk in 1996 to William Rehnquist, Chief Justice of the United States -- says : “What I don’t think eminent domain should be used [for] is private endeavors. What the Constitution requires is that it be for public use -- that means something like a road or a bridge.” Interestingly, O’Rourke advocated for the use of eminent domain to take hundreds of homes away from many of low-income El Pasoans in order to build his father-in-law’s redevelopment project. While O’Rourke was an El Paso city councilman in the mid-2000s, he voted to approve the redevelopment of an El Paso barrio into a retail destination with shops and restaurants. Senator Cruz says : “Where eminent domain has been abused is, we have seen, government entities condemning private land to give it to another private company.” • • • DEAR READERS, as the days pass, it becomes more and more clear that President Trump has all the positive points for building the wall. The Pelosi & Schumer show -- and their media and Hollywood propagandists -- are wrong on the facts, wrong on the law, and wrong on the desires of the American people. How much more farce do we have to endure before they give up and accept reality??
