The Sweet Flypaper of Elitist Socialism -- Will It Trap America?

ELECTION DAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2016. • • • We have used all the words and made all the appeals possible to American common sense. It is now time to vote and count the votes. To see if Americans have decided to support the Constitution and the Bill of Rights -- the First and Second Amendments that guarantee rule of law, freedom of religion and speech and assembly, and the right to bear arms. Or if they have decided to taste the sweet flypaper of elitist socialism -- to sell their freedom for the tyranny of leaders who bully, coerce, lie, sell their offices and seek only their own corrupt wealth -- to walk the path taken by 1930s Germany and Italy. But, this time, there will be no America to bail them out because they will have killed America. • President Reagan said it best : "The issue of this election is whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them for ourselves.” • As I was framing the ideas for today's blog, a song that warned us in a much more innocent time began drumming in my head -- For What It's Worth, 1966, Buffalo Springfield. • May God continue to bless America.     1. No matter what happens tomorrow in the Presidential Election, we will be faced with a never ending Leftist movement that seeks to destroy America.

      From the White House, the Courts, Congress, to the Universities, the Media and in Hollywood, the Left's entrails has dug deep into every aspect of our lives. And this – combined with the Left's Unholy Alliance with radical Islam – has America fighting on all fronts.

  2. Trump did not create the forces that propelled his candidacy. But he recognized them, tapped into them, and unleashed a gusher of nationalism and populism that will not soon dissipate.

    Whatever happens Tuesday, there is no going back now.

    But, would the followers of Donald Trump, whom Hillary Clinton has called “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic … bigots,” to the cheers of her media retainers, unite behind her should she win?

    No. Win or lose, as Sen. Edward Kennedy said at the Democratic Convention of 1980, “The work goes on, the cause endures.” Tomorrow friends is not a possible ending, far from it – it is a new beginning, a second chance.

It will be hard, if not impossible; to restore America's domestic economy, save the currency, pay off its titanic debt, or restore the now undermined personal freedoms granted us by the Constitution. Obama's ravaging of America's international pre-eminence in the world may never be restored to its previous position and its ability to keep at bay the savage and irrational regimes, especially those that proliferate in the world of Islam, is, perhaps, now fatally weakened and destabilized.

    In surveying this landscape I realize that I am an alien in a foreign land. I don't speak the language of immature adolescents that dominate the media. I remain a patriot, though patriotism itself is an ancient idea. And I regard government's coercive effort to redistribute wealth as theft. My world is at an end. There won't be a funeral for the deceased nation, but there will be a mourning. This is it.

    How terribly sad for our beloved land to go somewhat quietly into the night.

  4. In 1964 a young, talented singer, songwriter, a troubadour par excellent sang about …”the times they are a changing …” Bob Dylan didn’t know then that toady could be the pinnacle of the changing.

    Everything is always if a flux of change- good or bad, but always soft, subtle change. But today friends that delicate change could be a earthquake of radicle change if Hillary Clinton is elected. She is the least likely to all the candidates to sit in the Oval Office.

    Hillary will bring change upon this country that will be riding horses of death, destruction, and disablement to the forefront of the American self-government experiment. Cradle to grave of a centralized, strong arm federal government controlling EVERYTHING about yours and my life.

    Freedom of nothing will be their battle cry, with opposition to everything we Americans hold near and dear.

    But when she is declared the winner tonight or tomorrow sometime all will not be lost unless we want it to be. There are so many ways to thwart her, and they begin with keeping the checks and balances of a republican House and Senate, and republican Governorship's.

    Today friends is a new day in a new ball game.
