Obama, Aloof and Unable to Manage, Is Dangerous

It's Halloween. So what better topic than Barack Obama. A new October 22-28 NBC/Wall Street Journal poll shows his approval ratings at an all-time low - 42% generally approve of the President's job performance, while 51% disapprove. That's a loss of 5% from early October. And for the first time in the Obama poll history, Obama's personal approval ratings are lower than his disapproval ratings. The poll showed that 41% approve of him on a personal level and 45% disapprove."Personally and politically, the public's assessment is two thumbs down," Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart told NBC. Hart and Republican pollster Bill McInturff conducted the survey. The pollsters told NBC that no single issue is responsible for the declines. Rather, a combination of the NSA spying scandal, questions over his "red line" comment on attacking Syria, the government shutdown, and problems with the Obamacare website rollout all played a role. The poll also showed that Obamacare itself also slipping in approval along with the Republican Party and Congress as a whole - 37% now view the healthcare law as a good idea, with 47% opposing it. The previous poll showed 38% in favor and 43% against. The White House and congressional Democrats had been touting the law's growing popularity as critics blasted the troubled rollout. But in a separate question, 40% say they are now less confident about Obamacare after learning more about it. Only 9% are more confident. Exactly 50% said there has been no change in their thinking. ~~~~~ Barack Obama used computer-based campaign techniques and his agreeable public image to literally talk his way into the White House in 2008. And, since most US Presidents are re-elected, Obama was, too, in 2012. But, as President Obama was campaigning in the late summer and fall of 2012, several affairs very negztive for Obama and his White House were circling the Washington political scene. The first was the Benghazi attack, in which the US Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three of his staff were assassinated in a terrorist attack that Obama and his partisans tried to sell to America as a march against an anti-Moslem film that was suddenly taken over by terrorists. America is still waiting for Obama and his then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to comply with various requests of Congress to tell it what really happened in Benghazi on the night of September 11, 2012, and why repeated calls for bolstered security were ignored by Clinton, and also why Obama went to bed in the White House, leaving underlings to save his Ambassador without his sending in CIA or nearby Special Operations security operatives or even calling the Libyan president to ask for assistance. Obama's spin tactics held off the public until after the election, but Benghazi is an open sore that he has never healed or patched over. Next came the IRS affair, when it surfaced after the 2012 presidential election that conservative political groups were harassed by the IRS and prevented from working for Mitt Romney, the Republican candidate. This illegal use of the IRS was the political dirty trick tactic that may well have cost Romney the election and pushed Obama to a questionable victory. Then came the current NSA spying scandal, in which Obama - rather than keeping his campaign promises to have an open presidency and not to engage in what he called "unacceptable" Bush tactics as part of the war on terror, a term he banished from the White House vocabulary - actually expanded the eavesdropping and phone tapping to new heights. These very negative elements, combined with Obamacare, which we have often discussed, have served to reduce Barack Obama to a President isolated from the majority of Americans, who also feel strongly that he has severely damaged America's reputation in the world, especially in the Middle East, where many accuse him of favoring the Moslem Brotherhood over America's traditional allies - Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Israel. ~~~~~ Dear readers, it is not a comforting picture and Obama has another 1180 days in office. What greater damage he may do to America is the question helping to drive his job performance ratings lower and lower. As David Gergen, former advisor to Clinton and both Bushes and currently head of the Harvard Kennedy School of Public Policy, said last night on CNN -- Barack Obama knows how to get elected. He does not know how to govern. His White House is full of amateurs who cannot manage a presidency and Obama himself is aloof and not engaged on a daily basis. ~~~~~ An extremely dangerous disaster.

  1. If we elect people who have known only political jobs, and nothing in the private sector ... then we will get just what we have with Obama. Appointees who are up and coming, or old dogs that are precisely the same as the appointer.

Even a political animal such as Bill Clinton had a look at being a leader/administrator of government sub-divisions at various state levels. Both Bush's were a wealth of across the board private/government experienced administrators.

Ronald Reagan again state government and private sector experience.

Jimmy carter was the last great across the board failure in the office, not because he lied, not because he was a mono-experienced leader (he had also private experienced as a business man/peanut farmer . But simply maybe because he was idealist neophyte that tried to operate in a real world.

That old saying - "You must walk a mile in my shoes to understand me" could be a little more true than we thought.

But Obama is now drawing on an old cliche of Lincoln ... "You can fool some of the people all the time, All the people some of the time - But, never all the people all the time."

Well it seems that the string has run out on Obama. And even coming clean to the American public at this point would not change the destructive path he is traveling.

  3. We don't have an manager, an administrator, a leader, a creator, a developer, or even a "Jimmy Carter" type of president.

What we have is an inadequate, community organizer turned president. And he got tobe president due to the sense of fair play that Americans give to people in need of help and overtly decency. We flow towards the underdogs.

  4. What we have is a president who for some reason or another dose not seem to care about his standing in the Arena of Public Opinion. He just keeps on positioning himself in spot he builds by false claims, deceptive rhetoric, abandonment of Oath of Office, and disrespect for the Constitution. All the while pretending to be the 'self anointed" savior of what he sees as the American way of life.

Obama has not the simplest idea what the American way of life his. He was not raised in it, never lived in it, and wouldn't recognized it it it came up and hit him on the head.

Of all the titles and accolades that he may think himself worthy of ... "The Most Dangerous Man to the American Way" is the most realistic himself

  5. President Obama is very intelligent, and observing his consistency, that his objectives is the erosion of the economic foundation of our nation, corrosion of the social cohesion that binds and dedicates us to one another, and the destruction of the trust our allies have in us that when it really counts, we’ll have their backs and honor our commitments to one another.
President Obama has consistently undermined those precious assets, and the only folks who do not see that, simply do not want to see that. Such is the power of faith and hope, which many desperately need, despite strong evidence to the contrary.
Obama won the public trust but has since proven to be very undeserving of it. Besides the obvious class warfare and racial rhetoric used to secure power, Obama has sown seeds of cynicism and hate unlike this country has seen for quite some time.
The win at all costs, politics of personal destruction and outright treachery should give us pause. Is this really how our political process works? Obviously it is not. Is this really what America is about?
As far as the rest of the world, Obama wrote them off after the Arab Spring, Syria, Putin etc, when he realized that they were not going to lick his boots like they were supposed to. Who needs them anyway? His focus, his target, his prey, is his own country …to hell with the rest of the world.
And here, his focus is control, not trust. It’s votes, not good will. It’s amusing to watch the TV pundits and talking heads, who act confused and frustrated. Why can’t Congress and the President talk things out? Why is everything so partisan? Reagan and Tip met every day – likewise Clinton and Newt.
Inexplicably, they seem unable to see an obvious truth – Obama is not a President, but a political apparatus. This apparatus / operation have a clear, pre-determined agenda, and negotiating with the other party is simply not necessary. Trust? Who needs trust?
Obama is an agenda only. He is not here to negotiate, but to transform, and all he needs are a few to do his bidding, and a media that won’t call him out. Trust serves no useful purpose.
Even if you don’t believe there is” an evil kabala of nefarious schemers”, you surely must recognize an agenda. And you must recognize that we have arrived at the juncture in American society in which we can indeed elect a President who, along with a group of “planners” (let’s not call them “schemers”) may well have an ulterior motive in terms of where that agenda is to lead us.

  6. Plausible deniability is a cornerstone of the Obama Presidency. At some point, however, it becomes implausible that he could be so disengaged with his job. Even the true believer - the hard core liberals have to become a bit skeptical at the stuff Obama is trying to get Americans to swallow.

  7. Unaware of the IRS playing politics.
Unaware of the problems with the ACA's computer problems.
Unaware of the NSA snooping on leaders of allied nations.

UNAWARE, UNAWARE, UNAWARE - this story line that Obama keeps expressing is getting very old and worn

  8. The old Washington DC political crisis questions needs to be brought forward one more time folks... "WHAT DID OBAMA KNOW AND WHEN DID HE KNOW IT" about the damage and true results/numbers involved in Obamacare, a.k.a. ASA.

My guess is that he knew it all along because he has been orchestrating this whole upheaval of the national private health insurance coverage since day one.

EVERYTHING about this president is a lie. his picture perfect smile, his picture perfect family, his picture perfect religion, his picture perfect desire to help America, his picture perfect deniability about everything that has gone wrong under his 5 year watch, his picture perfect acceptability of all the credit for - oh! nothing has really gone right has it?

Richard Nixon resigned over 1 lie. One lie that was far, far from the severity of what Obama has lied about, and continues to lie about.

Wake up American ... We have a "Manchurian Candidate" imposter in the Oval Office

  9. Congress needs to assign special prosecutors to investigate Obama administration misbehavior and outright lies about many things ... Benghazi, Fast and Furious, Green Energy, recess appointments, Iran, Israel, Egypt, Syria. FBI, Justice Department, NSA, TARP spending, Obamacare (ACA)
