Mainstream Media Silent on George Soros Stealth Attack on US Justice System

There is much that the mainstream media could be reporting on concerning the Democrat-Progressive-One World-Hillary Clinton-George Soros near death grip on Washington and its elite insiders. But, we hear almost nothing about their actions, perhaps because, as in the case of Hillary's as yet unexplained seizure last Sunday, the media routinely quashes news stories it considers against its bias. What are the items not reported or discussed in mainstream media -- the important things America and the world have a right to know about what's going on inside the Progressive Democrat Clinton World -- items reported only online by those the Democrat apparatchiks describe as right-wing crazies. ~~~~~~ Nobody on any of the major US media outlets, except Fox, ever utters the name George Soros. But, on July 27, Politico reported that billionaire Soros, "who had dialed back his giving, has committed more than $25 million to supporting Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates and causes." So, George Soros, after losing a "then-unprecedented $27 million spending spree" to try to defeat President George W. Bush in 2004, has now donated or committed more than $25 million to boost Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates and causes, according to Federal Election Commission records and interviews by Politico with his associates and Democratic fundraising operatives. Soros political advisor Michael Vachon told Politico his boss : “has been a consistent donor to Democratic causes, but this year the political stakes are exceptionally high. They were high even before Trump became the nominee because of the hostility on the other side toward many of the issues George cares most about and has worked to support for many years." Soros causes include open-door immigration, criminal justice reform to reduce prison sentences for minorities, voting law changes to permit voting without proof of citizenship, and a key program - Black Lives Matter - that tries to drum up African American hatred for police. Through the end of June, Soros had donated $7 million to a super PAC supporting Clinton called Priorities USA Action, according to FEC filings, making it the biggest recipient of his political contributions in the second quarter cycle. Three Democratic operatives told Politico he’s considering donating another $3 million to the group. FEC records also show Soros gave $2 million to American Bridge 21st Century, a research super PAC that has been targeting Trump and other Republican candidates, and $700,000 to an assortment of Democratic Party committees, PACs and campaigns, including Clinton’s. Soros has committed $5 million to a super PAC called Immigrant Voters Win that’s devoted to increasing turnout among low-propensity Hispanic voters in key swing states, and FEC records show he’d donated $3 million through the end of June. Politico reports : "Soros has committed another $5 million to a nonprofit devoted to fighting conservative efforts to restrict voting, according to the associate. That group, the Voting Rights Trust, is run partly by Clinton’s campaign lawyer Marc Elias. It’s registered under a section of the tax code that doesn’t require it to disclose its donors," so that Soros’ and other donor contributions will never be publicly reported by the government. Vachon also said Soros : "has committed or donated $2 million to a voter mobilization group called America Votes that doesn’t disclose its donors and another $1 million or so to a handful of state-based voter mobilization groups that are not required to disclose their donors." In July, according to Politico, Soros donated $1.5 million each to Senate Majority PAC, a super PAC boosting Democratic Senate candidates, and to Planned Parenthood Votes, a super PAC that supports candidates, including Clinton, who favor abortion rights. Additionally, Politico says that although "Soros backed Barack Obama over Clinton in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary, he quickly soured on the Democratic President, who he felt was insufficiently aggressive in pursuing liberal priorities. He expressed frustration with Obama during a private...meeting in 2010, which some interpreted as a willingness to back a primary challenger in 2012. And though he backed Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign, that year he told a close Clinton ally that he regretted supporting Obama over her, and praised Clinton for giving him an open door to discuss policy, according to emails released late last year by the State Department....Jordan Wood, national finance director for a PAC called End Citizens United...suggested Soros’ giving may have slumped in recent years partly because of Obama. 'With George, his giving has spiked because of Hillary. He really likes Hillary Clinton, and he didn't like Obama as much.'" End Citizens United, which supports candidates, including Clinton, who pledge to push campaign finance reforms, this year received a $5,000 check from Soros, the maximum he could legally give to that group. He also has donated to Every Voice, as has his son Jonathan Soros. ~~~~~~ In late August, Politico was again reporting on George Soros' political activities, this time in what could be a unique, frightening approach to influencing US elections. Soros is focusing on the US justice system, spending independently to elect prosecutors as an avenue for criminal justice reform. Soros has spent more than $3.9 million in seven local district attorney campaigns in six states (Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Texas) over the past year. Politico calls it "an under-the-radar 2016 campaign to advance one of the Progressive movement’s core goals -- reshaping the American justice system." Soros has supported African American and Hispanic candidates for these powerful local roles through a network of state-level super PACs and a national IRS “527” unlimited-money group, each named with a variation of “Safety and Justice” and funded almost singlehandedly by Soros, to help candidates who ran on platforms sharing major Soros goals, such as reducing racial disparities in sentencing and directing some drug offenders to diversion programs instead of to trial. Politico says : "It is by far the most tangible action in a Progressive push to find, prepare and finance criminal justice reform-oriented candidates for jobs that have been held by longtime incumbents and serve as pipelines to the federal courts -- and it has inspired fury among opponents angry about the outside influence in local elections." (1). As an example, the FLORIDA Safety and Justice group just poured nearly $1.4 million -- all of which came from Soros and his 527 group -- into a previously low-budget Democratic primary for state attorney in Central Florida, backing Aramis Ayala, a former public defender and prosecutor, in her campaign against incumbent Jeff Ashton, whose jurisdiction covers over 1.6 million people across two counties in metro Orlando. Opponents of Soros’ favored candidates have attacked his tactic, saying that his influence has "wildly tipped the scales" of local elections and charging that he made residents less safe. (2). In another election, Dhu Thompson, a LOUISIANA attorney who lost a district attorney race to a Soros-backed candidate, James Stewart, in 2015, said : "As a candidate and citizen of Caddo Parish, if an outsider was that interested in the race, I wanted to know exactly what he had in mind for the criminal justice system if he were to win." Politico reports that Soros gave over $930,000 -- more than 22 times the local median household income -- to the group boosting Stewart. (3). Soros’ spending, says Politico : "started on these races about a year ago, when he put over $1 million into “Safety and Justice” groups that helped elect two new district attorneys in Louisiana and MISSISSIPPI and reelect a third -- Hinds County, Mississippi, DA Robert Shuler Smith -- who has since been charged by the Mississippi attorney general with improperly providing information to defendants." (4). After the Louisiana and Mississippi races, Soros next piled money into two of the biggest jurisdictions in the country: Houston, TEXAS, Harris County (his lone losing effort so far) and CHICAGO’s Cook County, where he donated $408,000 to one of several groups that helped Kim Foxx defeat incumbent state’s attorney Anita Alvarez in a high-profile primary campaign dominated by the 13-month delay between the police shooting of Laquan McDonald and the indictment of the police officer involved. (5). In late spring, $107,000 from a Soros-funded NEW MEXICO super PAC donated $107,000 to Raul Torrez, helping him to win his Democratic district attorney primary by a 2-to-1 margin in Albuquerque’s Bernalillo County. Torrez’s Republican opponent dropped out of the general election soon after, citing the potentially exorbitant cost of opposing the Soros-backed candidate in the general election." The next step for Soros, according to the Politico report : "is a broader national push into local prosecutor campaigns [that] is expected to intensify in the next few years, thanks to longer-term planning and candidate recruitment. A Safety and Justice group has already organized in Ohio, according to campaign finance filings there....That means more local candidates should prepare for the shock of one of the biggest donors in American politics flooding their neighborhoods with ads." (6). One Mississippi prosecutor says he has never met Soros -- like other district attorney candidates supported by the Democrat billionaire this year. He said there was no hint that hundreds of thousands of dollars were coming to aid his campaign until advertising started pushing the same criminal-justice reform message that the candidate had been touting on a much cheaper scale : "The first I heard of it, someone told me they liked my radio ad, and I was thinking, that doesn’t sound like one of mine." (7). In yet another race, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported Thursday that Republican Matt McCord dropped out of the race for Henry County district attorney this week, saying that Democratic mega-donor George Soros forced his hand when he poured money into his Democratic opponent’s candidacy. The AJC reported Thursday that Soros is linked to a political action committee called GEORGIA Safety & Justice that has so far spent $91,000 to support Darius Patillo, a deputy chief assistant DA in DeKalb who is running to be Henry’s top prosecutor. McCord said in a statement that he couldn’t stomach the threat of “personal attacks on my family and an infusion of negativity” in the campaign from Patillo’s allies : “After consulting with my family and trusted advisors, it has become clear that we will most likely not be successful against an unlimitedly financed opponent, and I refuse to put my family through what has transpired in other Soros-backed elections.” McCord has since taken down his Facebook page and his campaign website. AJC quotes a Politico report that Soros has pumped money into local DA races in at least a half-dozen states aimed at supporting African American and Hispanic candidates who embrace criminal justice reform initiatives designed to keep more low-level criminals out of prison. Patillo, who is black, put pretrial diversion programs and community outreach at the center of his campaign. The AJC says : "Now a virtual lock to win the November race, Patillo told Channel 2 Action News reporter Mark Winne he didn’t know anything about the Soros money : 'I had never heard of that entity, that organization, and I’ve never received any money from that organization.'” This is entirely possible becquse Soros is not always coordinating with the district attorney candidates he supports. ~~~~~~ And in the biggest attack to date, Business Insider this week published an AP report revealing that Joe Arpaio, the self-proclaimed toughest sheriff in America, may face Soros and his money as he seeks re-election in Phoenix, ARIZONA. The Republican sheriff already was battered politically and support for him had been slipping when a group linked to Soros mounted an anti-Arpaio attack in an attempt to weaken his bid for a seventh straight term. The group started sending fliers to Phoenix-area voters two weeks ago, and a mailing last week accuses Arpaio of separating a mother from her child because of an unpaid traffic ticket, botching hundreds of sex crimes investigations and scaring immigrants so much that that they don't report crime. Unlike other Soros targets, Arpaio denies the claims and is easily capable of striking back with a formidable $2.9 million still available for campaign spending ahead of the November 8 vote, dwarfing the total $326,000 raised by his challenger, Democrat Paul Penzone, a former Phoenix police sergeant who lost to Arpaio by 6% in 2012. The entry of a Soros-linked group is a gift for Penzone, who acknowledges he'll never come close to matching Arpaio's campaign spending. The new anti-Arpaio group, "Maricopa Strong," registered in Arizona on August 29, the day before Arpaio won his Republican primary against three opponents. It is not required to file a report detailing who made donations and spending until September 29, according to the AP, which reports that county records state Maricopa Strong's chairwoman is Whitney Tymas, a former public defense attorney in New York and Virginia prosecutor who serves as treasurer for the Soros-funded Safety & Justice national political committee and groups with similar names in Illinois, Florida, Texas and New Mexico. Neither Tymas nor a local spokesperson responded to repeated phone and email messages from Business Insider seeking comment. Funding by the new anti-Arpaio group could also impact the presidential race because Arpaio is an influential Donald Trump supporter. Democrats hope to rally Arizona's Latinos -- a voting bloc including many who have long reviled the sheriff -- to show up to vote for Clinton in November. Chad Willems, Arpaio's campaign manager, said he suspected a well-funded anti-Arpaio group from outside Arizona would get involved in the campaign but doubted it would prevent Arpaio from winning. "He is a known commodity here. The voters do still like him," Willems told Business Insider. ~~~~~~ It is relatively easy, because of required filings, to follow George Soros support for Progressive Democrat candidates. The mainstream media could do it on a shoestring. They don't -- possibly because it would cast doubt on the independence and trustworthiness of their Progressive stable of candidates and issues. It is undoubtedly for this reason that we've heard very little from mainstream media about the fact that former State Department employee Bryan Pagliano who set up Hillary Clinton’s private email server did not appear before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, despite a subpoena to testify on the deletion of some of Clinton’s emails. Pagliano had earlier exercised his Fifth Amendment right not to testify against himself before the House Select Committee on Benghazi in 2015. He was also reportedly awarded an immunity deal during the FBI’s now-closed investigation into Clinton’s use of the server while Secretary of State. Chairman Jason Chaffetz said : "It’s a serious matter. Mr. Pagliano has chosen to evade a subpoena duly issued by the committee. I will consult with counsel and my colleagues to consider a full range of options available to address Mr. Pagliano’s failure to appear. He should be here. When you are served a subpoena by the United States Congress, that is not optional." We also didn't hear from mainsteam media about the former senior advisor to President Bill Clinton and two IT specialists associated with Hillary Clinton’s email server who did appear before the Chaffetz committee. Justin Cooper, the Clinton advisor who set up the email address, and two employees of Platte River Networks, the Colorado-based company that maintained the server, Bill Thornton and Paul Combetta, were also subpoenaed to appear before the panel. Both exercised their Fifth Amendment right and refused to answer questions. Chaffetz pressed Combetta : "You’re an IT guy who’s paid by the Clintons. Who told you to delete the emails?" Combetta replied : "On advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer and exert my Fifth Amendment right." ~~~~~~ Why should this be news that every American has the right to know about? Because a Platte River Networks technician deleted an archive of emails from Hillary Clinton's server in March 2015 -- a few weeks after the New York Times was the first to publicly reveal Clinton’s exclusive use of the server during her time in office. The deletion also followed a House Benghazi Committee's subpoena for records relating to the 2012 attack on the Libyan outpost. According to the recently released FBI notes, longtime Clinton aide Cheryl Mills instructed technology vendor Platte River Networks to delete a set of archived emails in December, 2014. Mills told investigators Clinton had decided she no longer needed access to emails older than 60 days. But the technician apparently forgot the request and didn’t immediately comply. According to the FBI report, between March 25 and March 31 of 2015, the technician "believed he had an 'oh s--t' moment and...deleted the Clinton archive mailbox from [Platte River Networks] server and used BleachBit to delete the exported .PST files he had created on the server system containing Clinton’s emails." When those emails were erased by Platte River Networks, the Benghazi panel had already issued both a subpoena and an order that records relating to the 2012 attack be preserved. Clinton and Mills told the FBI that they had no knowledge of the technician’s deletion of the emails. The technician, according to the FBI report : "was aware of the existence of the [Benghazi Committee] preservation request and the fact that it meant he should not disturb Clinton's email data on the [Platte River Networks] server." In a timeline of events produced from the FBI report, Chaffetz found a conference call between Clinton’s lawyers and the engineer who maintained the server -- less than a week prior to the deletion of the email archive. The engineer refused to answer questions about the contents of the phone call, according to the FBI. Chaffetz has now written a letter to Platte River Networks, saying : "The sequence of events leading up to the destruction of Secretary Clinton’s emails...raises questions about whether Secretary Clinton, acting through her attorneys, instructed [Platte River Networks] to destroy records relevant to the then-ongoing congressional investigations." ~~~~~~ Dear readers, I also bet you have heard nothing -- zero -- zip -- about the fact that Hillary Clinton has failed to respond to a wrongful death lawsuit brought by the parents of two of the men killed during the 2012 attack on the American consular compound in Benghazi. Hillary was declared in default by the court clerk last Friday -- a designation that means she was served with court documents and that she did not answer the complaint. It is not a finding of liability. But, in fact, Clinton’s Secret Service delegation and campaign aides refused to accept the summons, according to court documents -- maybe Hillary told them, "What difference does it make?" Clinton will now have to respond in some way -- such as arguing that the default be set aside or moving to dismiss the case entirely -- to avoid the possibility that a judge could rule automatically in favor of the plaintiffs. Her lawyers will probably seek an extension that would push her deadline for response past the November election. Patricia Smith and Charles Woods claim in the suit that the attack that killed their sons, Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods, as well as two other Americans, was : "directly and proximately caused, at a minimum" by Clinton’s use of a private email server while in office. "As a direct result of Defendant Clinton’s reckless handling of this classified, sensitive information, Islamic terrorists were able to obtain the whereabouts of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and thus the US State Department and covert and other government operations in Benghazi, Libya and subsequently orchestrate, plan, and execute the now infamous September 11, 2012 attack." ~~ Wouldn't it be in the tradition of free and independent American journalism to want to report ALL the news? Especially when it relates to the lifeblood of the American Republic. But, free and independent American journalism has long since disappeared from mainstream media, which has become the pervasive Progressive Democrat Super Pac that has no obligation to file federal reports or to estimate how much free publicity it donates to them. Americans, who for one reason or another don't seek online verification of mainstream media propaganda, are doomed to believe that propaganda -- that party line that smacks of the controlled press of dictatorial regimes. And, it is America that suffers because the very fabric of America is based on informed voters. Mainstream media have sold America to an ideology that the great majority of Americans do not believe in or support. Think about it.
