Saturday Politics : The Future of America and Europe Depends on Electing Leaders Who Will Tightly Control All Borders and Vet Migrants

Saturday Politics this week is about jihadist terrorism. Despite Europe's failures, we should note that Wednesday a French judge began a formal investigation of a French man arrested last week on suspicion of planning an imminent act of "extreme violence." Prosecutors found an "unprecedented" cache in his apartment : five assault rifles, handguns, chemicals, explosives, five false passports, brand-new mobile phones and two laptops with information about bomb-making and jihadist groups. Last July, the man was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison in Belgium for recruiting islamist fighters. A collaborator was arrested in Rotterdam on a French police request and will be extradited. ~~~~~ This week, Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen proposed to curb hate speech by radical imams, after a TV documentary showed imams in eight Danish mosques advocating illegal acts such as bigamy, stoning, and corporal punishment for Moslem women and children. The PM wants a list of registered "hate preachers" not allowed to speak publicly in Denmark; criminalizing subversive talk; and keeping certain people from visiting places of worship or gathering places : "...we can get those people, who, under the cover of religion and theology, erode our society." ~~~~~ Put aside US military and civilian intelligence groups expertly finding, following -- and arresting when permitted -- jihadists. What are US political leaders doing? Obama, despite increasing islamic terrorism and public anger, is implementing his plan to admit 100,000 Syrian and Iraqi refugees to the US in 2016. In his Easter radio talk, Obama said the US must engage Moslems as partners in the fight against terrorism. If 'moderate' Moslems exist, they are silent, unwilling to take a public stand or organize a rally against radical Islam. The Obama "J.V. team" is not taken seriously by his administration, and mainstream media and political leaders belittle Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, calling them racists for their common sense plans to defeat this unique danger. ~~~~~ What do Moslem refugees entering the US believe? We don't know, because they aren't properly vetted, especially about beliefs and intentions regarding jihadism. FBI director James Comey says there's no way to properly screen the 10,000 Syrian refugees entering the US -- forget the 100,000 Obama wants to take in. But, beliefs in refugees' home countries suggest refugee beliefs. In Middle East countries, 80-90% favor sharia as the law of the land. Seven to 40% of Middle East and North Africa Moslems believe suicide bombing is often or sometimes justified. American Moslems were polled in 2007 and 2011 -- 8% said "suicide bombing or other violence against civilians is often or sometimes justified to defend Islam from its enemies." With 3.3 million US Moslems, if 8% are likely to accept suicide bombing or other violence to defend Islam, and one in a thousand of the 8% actually attempts such acts, then 264 potential jihadist terrorists are already in the US, not counting the new "refugees," some of whom, based on Europe's experience, are islamic jihadists. ~~~~~ The US cannot defend itself against Brussels and Paris-type attacks any more than Belgium and France could, for the same reasons : soft leftist political leaders and a public multicultural mindset that excuses every wrong and thinks appeasement will convert islamic jihadists into Dorothy on the Yellow Brick Road. Only the vastly suprerior US intell community saves us. So, the US spends $1 trillion annually on national security programs, and the US is vulnerable, as San Bernardino confirmed. ~~~~~ Dear readers, as in Europe, the way to prevent jihadists from entering America is to bar any Moslem who cannot be fully vetted. This is not racism. It is not unconstitutional religious testing. It is the pursuit of political and societal survival. Ideally, we could eliminate the threat where it originates, the Middle East. But that will not happen while Obama, Hillary or any insider is President. Trump or Cruz, ideally together, is the best hope for American security.

  1. I was early on a fan of Bush 2 as a potentially good president. Immediately after 9-11 I thought he had been given the opportunity to be a great president.

But as the War on terror moved along actions demonstrated just how little the Western world knew/still knows about the Muslim mind set, and more precisely the Islamic terrorist objectivity, the seriousness of their aggressive actions, just how very little life means to them, and how willing (even hopefully) they are to give up that life.

We have bombed them, fought them, killed thousands upon thousands of them, but have not yet demonstrated to them in their own terms how dedicated we are to defeating them where they live. They conduct a car bombing on the streets of paris and care not how many civilians (in fact there are no civilians to their thinking) are killed along with their main goal that day.

We on the other hand conduct military operations for the most part based on protecting the civilians and by doing so we have created an always available shield of protection for these murders.

They know our every ‘hot button’ and they use them to their advantage.

9-11 was design to test our retort. And today our retort has been for the most part weak and irrelevant to the terrorists. And with this fact they stared their march onto Europe and the West.

Bush had at his command an opportune advantage to 1. Stop all immigration into America for a period of a few years in order to put controls on it, and 2. did not respond in a manner that told the terrorists that we will bury you and yours if necessary if you want. He could have done this with a low loss of civilian life by the destruction of one precious site to Islam in general as a reprisal to 9-11.

  2. While liberalslecture us on retaining our “American values” in response to ISIS, let’s remember what Winston Churchill said: “Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be, for without victory, there is no survival.”

“Without victory, there is no survival.” Enough said.

  3. Immigration is not good for America, not anymore. Maybe some struggling nation that has low labor needs or wishes to take care of the world’s tryants. Immigration has benefitted our nation a great deal and it certainly can do so again, but as long as our current rules are in place, immigration can only hurt our country.

This whole idea that it doesn’t matter whether we bring in large numbers of uneducated people from socialistic countries with backward cultures where they don’t speak English or large numbers of highly educated people from capitalistic countries with Western cultures that speak English makes no sense. Yes, there are always exceptions to the rule, but unquestionably members of one group are much more likely to fit in, assimilate and add to the tax base than the other group.

America’s immigration system is family-based instead of merit-based. How does it make America better for us to favor someone’s uneducated Grandpa from a Third World nation over a rocket scientist in his late twenties from Israel or Australia just because Grandpa has a relative in the United States?

Why would we want to bring ANYBODY to the United States or any European country who can’t pay his own way and add to the tax base? Did you know that 62% of illegal alien households are using some form of welfare? How can they do this when they’re not citizens? Easy. They have a kid here and then suddenly they’re eligible for all sorts of benefits. How would it make America better to allow illegal aliens who pay no income tax and take government benefits to stay in our country? Of course, it doesn’t.

  4. The Muslim Brotherhood is called the "Ikhwan" in Arabic, meaning "brotherhood." (Like German "ich" and "won.") It took that name in 1928, when fascist and Nazi "brotherhoods" were spreading all over Europe.

From the start, the Muslim brotherhood/ Ikhwan actively collaborated with Hitler through the street clothes of Jerusalem. One of their slogans is "All we want is to die in the way of Allah" – which means killing as many infidels as you can when you die. This is the theological basis for suicide-bombing. Today, there is no daylight between the Ikhwan and ISIS.

President Obama and his administration continue to support the global Islamist militant group known the Muslim Brotherhood. A White House strategy document regards the group as a moderate alternative to more violent Islamist groups like al Qaeda and the Islamic State (ISIS).

The policy of backing the Muslim Brotherhood is outlined in a secret directive called Presidential Study Directive (PSD) -11. The directive was produced in 2011.

The directive outlines why the administration has chosen the Muslim Brotherhood, which last year was labeled a terrorist organization by the governments of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates as a key vehicle of U.S. backing for so-called political reform in the Middle East.

The UAE government also has labeled two U.S. affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Muslim American Society, as terrorist support groups.

Since before 1928 this situation that Europe has allowed to fester and grow has been strengthening its methodology and financial activities. And the West has been buying into what they perceived as freedom seeking Arabs wanting to open up their despotic, oppressive countries government – no not really have they been???

  5. One of the greatest gifts my hardworking, blue-collar grandfathers and my much wiser than her years gave me when I was young was the belief that no one owes me anything. Their wisdom carried me through some difficult times growing up and helped shape me into the person I am today. It seems that self-reliant attitude that they instilled in me is all but lost in this world.

As the presidential election draws near, with Hillary possibly being fitted for an orange jumpsuit with complementary ankle chains and the self-avowed socialist, Bernie Sanders, rising in the polls, it might be time to consider that my mentors ideals and the freedoms we once knew will soon be a thing of the past, should a liberal take office in 2017.

Not that long ago, my mentors can-do attitude was common place, until snakes from both sides of the political aisle began to understand immense power could be gained by peddling handouts in exchange for votes. If they know anything at all, these self-serving political serpents understand human nature. If you give people what they didn't earn from sources to which they didn't contribute, they quickly become dependent. Add a bit of Machiavellian wordsmithing by redefining those handouts as "rights" and voila! You create a permanent voting base.

Our founders spoke of "unalienable rights." Like modern day snake oil salesmen, politicians market tangible handouts, a never-ending list of miscellaneous freebies, instead of the intangibles of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." They have succeeded in transforming the Declaration of Independence into a "Declaration of Dependence."
