Obama's New Plan : Say the World Is Peaceful and Do Nothing

During a speech in Germany Monday, a hallucinating President Obama said : "We are fortunate to be living in the most peaceful, most prosperous, most progressive era in human history." That was just before he announced a deployment of 250 more American special forces troops to Syria. Obama said : "Most people live in democracies. We're wealthier and healthier and better educated..." Obama returned to reality long enough to note the increase in "dangerous forces" around the world threatening to pull society backward : "Our progress is not inevitable." ~~~~~ The May 2015 Armed Conflict Survey by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) found that in 2008 there were 63 armed conflicts around the world with 56,000 fatalities, whereas in 2014 there were only 42 armed conflicts but they produced 180,000 fatalities. Obama got it backwards, while even the leftist Guardian newspaper understood IISS : "The numbers reflect the extremely violent fighting in Syria and Iraq and deaths in Afghanistan increasing following the withdrawal of western combat troops." Who decided to withdraw allied troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and delay a deployment in Syria until forced by Russia's arrival? Obama. ~~~~~ Now that Russia has consolidated power in Syria, it wants more details about US plans to send the 250 special forces to Syria. President Obama's Monday announcement, according to Reuters, increases US forces in Syria sixfold and will help militia fighters who are taking back territory from ISIS militants. Will Obama comply with Russia's demand? Probably -- making 250 American soldiers goldfish in Russia's al-Assad fishbowl. ~~~~~ Reuters reported Wednesday that Iran's Supreme Leader has accused the US of scaring businesses away from Iran : "On paper the United States allows foreign banks to deal with Iran, but in practice they create Iranophobia so no one does business with Iran." US banks are prohibited from doing business with Iran because of US sanctions charging that Iran supports terrorism and human rights abuses -- and working on nuclear weapons, we might add. Secretary of State John Kerry told Iran Foreign Minister Zarif on Saturday the US is not trying to stop Iran dealing with non-US banks : "Unfortunately there seems to be some confusion among some foreign banks and we want to try and clarify that." ~~~~~ The Washington Post reported in November that the US has delivered $260 million in non-lethal military equipment to help Ukraine fight the Russian-backed insurgency, but some equipment is little more than junk. A Ukraine special forces unit is using battered 1980s US Humvees. A 120-man infantry unit received a single bulletproof vest - a model US troops stopped using ten years ago. Such US equipment on Ukraine front lines has led to distrust and lower morale. It also calls into question the US commitment to the two-year war, with 9,000 dead, while Russia's well-equipped separatists are still firmly in control of eastern Ukraine. A senior Defense official says the US was wholly unprepared for Russia’s Ukraine offensive and had to source funds and respond to aid requests from a “cold start.” Others say the junk equipment symbolizes US policy that does the minimum to bolster Ukraine and deter Russia. Mac Thornberry, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, says there is strong bipartisan support for Ukraine, noting a recently authorized $300 million package - including lethal aid. The only issue, Thornberry added, is that we can’t make the President deliver it.” ~~~~~ Foreign Policy wrote a week ago that ISIS is using mustard gas against the Kurds, asking why the US isn't helping. Kurdish leaders in Iraq have appealed to the West for gas masks. They are still waiting for them. As America’s most effective ally against ISIS, the Kurds say privately they are puzzled by the delay. ~~~~~ Dear readers, maybe Obama has finally found his peace strategy. Do nothing. Peace will follow -- peace controlled by islamic terrorists and aggressors -- but, maybe Obama would say : "Hey. Peace is peace. Don't knock my legacy."

  1. Obama has since day one followed the adage that … If I Say It, It’s True. And like the compulsive liar (of which he can be argued is) who believes what he lie about, Obama has tried to be President based on one incessant falsehood piled on top of another, on top of another never-ending.

Every week when on Thursday’s when the labor department releases employment numbers, Obama’s early on (in his first administration) hopes and dreams that what he authorized being said quickly turned in to be a lie to cover last weeks lie.

IF the instituting of this lie upon lie upon lie government was accidental (of which it wasn’t) it’s a shame that we the people kept accepting it to the absolute futility of reelecting Obama for a second term so he could continue his compulsive of misleading the American people about the State of the Union.

“When your up to your backside in Alligators, it’s difficult to remember that the main objective was draining the swamp” is so descriptive of the 8 years of Obama. As a Constitutional Lawyer (if he is one) Obama’s errors must be judged as INTENTIONAL, not ACCIDENTAL. He menacingly from January 20th, 2009 meant to destroy our system of democracy, not to streamline and enhance it.

  2. “IF YOU ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU’VE ALWAYS DONE … YOU’LL ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU’VE ALWAYS GOT”

With the likes of Barrack Obama, George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and all the rest of the clan of workers within the admiration of the Sherriff of Nottingham (Barrack Obama) the above verse rings so true. Why do we expect anything different than unorganized (on the surface) leadership, leadership with no principals, no morals, no decency, no honor?

  3. The reason this country continues is drifting toward socialism and cradle to grave government is because too many people vote in the expectation of getting something for nothing, not because they have a concern for what is good for the country.

Currently over the past 60 plus years (except for one administration & a couple glimmers of hope from existing administrations) the executive branch has grown far too strong, the judicial branch too arrogant and the legislative branch too stupid in the wants of the people.

This is the reason we have the political leadership void that we do. Then you take a look at what choices we have in the upcoming presidential election – WOW! On both sides there is no one to get all motivated over. And of the remaining 5 candidates the democrats give us 2 died in the wool Progressive Socialists, and the Republicans in John Kasich offer us a declared Reagan conservative that takes monies (lots of monies) from wheeler-dealer (Ultra) Socialist George Soros – who we all know about.

    OMG!!!

  4. We were told once by Rep/Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi that the American people had to pass Obama Care in order to see what was in it. Well we did and what a rat’s nest it is.

Now Iran is saying that all 100 billion USD from years of embargos have been returned to them. Yet just the other day secretary of State Kerry countered that when speaking to democratic supporters that only approximately 3 Billion USD had at this point been returned to Iran. And a few months ago Obama himself said that (then) over half the 100 Billion had been returned/released via U.S. Banks.

Today even Congress cannot verify how much has to date been returned to Iran, and secondly there is an investigation that via secret transfers the Obama Administration is supplying Iran with Foreign Aide monies.

Years ago during the so-called ‘English Invasion’ of music occurred there was a song titled “Signs”, and it went Signs, signs everywhere a sign …” Under Obama the song could be retitled with lyrics like …”Lies, Lies, always a lie”

  5. Someone once told me that – “Truth is like a piece of paper. Once wrinkled it can never be straightened out again”

So why we are still amazed at Obama lying is unknown. As the great comedian W.C. Fields once is quoted as saying – “the only way to tell if he (unknown who he was) is lying is when is mouth is open.”

It has been 37 years (1979) since the American citizens had a presidential candidate speak in their behalf. And for 8 years as president Ronald Reagan continued speaking for the American citizen, and representing America in the highest manner possible.

Maybe when we remember our past great Presidents Ronald Reagan will be the last. There is certainly not a future Ronald Reagan on the horizon.
