Saturday Politics - President Obama Can't Be So Stupid as to Believe What He Says

Saturday politics is sometimes like fantasy football. ~~~~~ Today, we learned that President Obama told journalists off-the-record this week that he was too slow to appreciate public alarm about the attacks in Paris and California. That a US President did not immediately realize that Americans would be frightened about domestic jihadist terrorist threats, especially after San Bernardino, is preposterous. The anxiety has been reported all week in polls and mainstream media. Is Obama the US President from another planet? ~~~~~ Not satisfied with one ridiculous statement this week, Obama held his year-end news conference, giving a fairytale summary of his "achievements." Obama touted his Cuba diplomacy (Obama 0 - Castro 100), and Iran deal (Obama 0 - Iran ICBM tests). He said his Obamacare law has reduced the number of uninsured people to below 10% of the population for the first time since records began. He said 6 million people signed up for Obamacare health coverage for 2016 and noted that in all, 17 million more people gained coverage (Obamacare 0 - all Americans more costly, less available healthcare). He took pride in job growth without uttering "part-time," which is where the new jobs are. Obama said these "successes" are a result of steps taken throughout his seven years in office. Let's review Obama vs reality, using ISIS as the example. ~~~~~ Obama said this week the US-led coalition is hitting ISIS targets "harder than ever," but critics say the hits don't adequately strike training camps turning out 1,000 ISIS fighters per month. An unnamed critic in the Obama administration told the Washington Free Beacon : "These camps give them a continuous, fresh flow of fighters. Little is being done to destroy them." Officials say 20 camps in Syria and Iraq have been hit since May. But, critics say ISIS has run 60 such camps since 2014. The military has not been able to attack the camps, officials say, because many are located near residential and population centers, and strikes could produce civilian casualties. ~~~~~ Obama this week said ISIS leaders are being targeted, and the extremist group has lost 40% of the territory it held in Iraq. But, new territory is being added and leaders can be replaced. Obama said more bombs were dropped in November than at any other time, destroying ISIS "fighting positions, bunkers, and staging areas; their heavy weapons, bomb-making factories, compounds and training camps. In many places, ISIL has lost its freedom of maneuver." But, Long War Journal editor Bill Roggio told the Free Beacon in June that the number of both ISIS and al Qaida training camps is rising : “It is unclear if US airstrikes have significantly set back the Islamic State’s training program. We may not be hitting the training facilities quick enough to make a difference.” Attacks between May and December included strikes near ISIS' Raqqa headquarters and against training camps and staging areas. A December 17 military statement said a training camp near the headquarters was hit. Army Colonel Steven Warren, a coalition spokesman, told the media : "we have struck training camps and will continue to do so.” But, Representative Mike Turner said during a House Armed Services Committee November meeting : "there’s great frustration in the American public....logistics, supply lines, sales of oil, other operations of ISIS are going without challenge.” Brigadier General Mark Odom, US military head in northern Iraq, said the coalition launched a 17-hour aerial attack against an ISIS offensive targeting Iraqi Kurdish security forces. US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter met with Iraqi Kurdish leaders Thursday and said the fighting shows how effective Kurdish forces are when backed by the US. ~~~~~ Dear readers, the more aggressive US airstrikes began after Russia started massive airstrikes. And, while Secretary Carter values the Kurdish forces, the US does not yet supply them directly, but via Baghdad, where 90% of the supplies are skimmed off for Iraqi shiite/Iranian militia. Obama cannot be so stupid as to believe what he says.

  1. Talking about what Obama says and what he may or may not come to believe over time of not being ‘challenged’ about. The following list is of of senior Islamic State leaders claimed to have been killed in US and allied airstrikes and special operations raids in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Libya. This list only includes those confirmed killed by the US Department of Defense (another very questionable source of information):

    Iraq/Syria:
    *Late November 2014
Radwin Talib, a regional Islamic State commander.
    *Early December 2015:
Abd al Basit, the head of the Islamic State’s military operations in Iraq.
    *May 15, 2015:
Abu Sayyaf, a senior leader in the Islamic State who was “involved in ISIL’s military operations and helped direct the terrorist organization’s illicit oil, gas, and financial operations.” His wife, Umm Sayyaf, was captured.
    *June 15, 2015:
Ali Awni al Harzi, a suspect in the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya and a legacy al Qaeda leader.
    *Aug. 18, 2015:
Fadhil Ahmad al Hayali (a.k.a. Hajji Mutazz and Abu Musallam al Turkumani), the “senior deputy to ISIL leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi,” and “an ISIL media operative known as Abu Abdullah.” The US military erroneously reported that Hayali was killed in December 2014.
    *Aug. 21 & Aug. 21, 2015:
Reyaad Khan (Aug. 21) and Junaid Hussain (Aug. 24), two British nationals involved in plotting attacks in the West.
*Sept. 10, 2015:Abu Bakr al Turkmani, a senior Islamic State leader who served as an “administrative emir.”

    *Nov. 12, 2015:
Mohamed Emwazi, the infamous British executioner who is better known as “Jihadi John.” Emwazi was the masked man behind the videotaped murders of US, British, and Japanese reporters and aide workers.
    *Late November 2015:
Abu Saleh, the Islamic State’s financial minister.
    *Late November 2015:
Abu Maryam, an Islamic State “enforcer and senior leader of their extortion network.”
    *Late November 2015:
Abu Rahman al Tunisi, an Islamic State “executive officer, coordinating the transfer of information, people and weapons.”

    Libya:
    *Nov. 13, 2015:
Wissam Najm Abd Zayd al Zubaydi, an Iraqi who US military claimed was the Islamic State’s emir of Libya.

Khorasan Province – Afghanistan and Pakistan:
    *Feb. 9, 2015:
Mullah Abdul Rauf Khadim, the deputy governor of Khorasan Province. He was held by the US military at Guantanamo Bay up until he was transferred to Afghan custody in December 2007 and subsequently released.
    *July 10, 2015:
Shahidullah Shahid, the spokesman for Khorasan Province.

    Oct. 13, 2015:
Jalaluddin, the mufti for the Khorasan Province. He was a disciple of a senior Taliban leader and al Qaeda facilitator who is a Specially Designated Global Terrorist and attended a madrassa in Pakistan that is listed by the US as a terrorist facility.

This list represents 17 BIG TIME OPERATIVES in various terrorist organizations. Ask yourself … “What business/corporation/organization could survive the loss of 17 top executives in 12 to 13 months unexpectedly and not only remain an active force, but increase its activities.

The answer seems simple – these claimed deaths were just that CLAIMED. No bodies, no pictures, no DNA comparison charts, no bombing site pictures, no reports on how ID’s were made, NO NOTHING just Obama and his administration say so, And we all know what that is worth - NOTHING

  2. There is much debate on the subject of why Obama wants to allow Muslims to flood our country, but wants to exclude Christians. At the same time much debate has erupted about why Obama has taken up sides with Iran (a country that outright pledges to destroy us).

For the most of his (Obama’s) nearly 7 years in office no one seems to understand (or wishes to open Pandora’s Box) why he does anything he does.

Why he does what he does I believe comes mostly from his heritage of his Grandfather who was born in then Kenya and was filled with hate of the white British dominance, and pasted on through his father? Grandfather was a convert from Christianity to Islam.

Since the Paris massacre there has been 132 Syrian (mostly Shiite) men, all of fighting age admitted by the U.S. State Department

In our president there is a inbred/inherited hatred of the colonial west, a seeming affinity for Shiite Muslims and an arrogance to think he can control this upheaval (Shiite v Sunni) through the sheer force of his will. It’s a recipe for disaster – or Armageddon.

Maybe Obama is not as suspected by many a Manchurian Candidate type, but he is in his own belief a God like figure.

  3. President Obama in his own words this past week ...

"The Islamic State does not pose an existential threat to the United States and therefore the response should be measured.”

So Obama's response seems to be do nothing - again.

I want to believe that the task of being President has simply been too much for Ibama to cope with. But we do have some 7 years of "coincidences" which indicate much more serious, sinister incidences on his part.

  4. There is absolutely nothing that Obama can say that can convince me he is telling the truth. He has lied to the citizens of the US since his first entry into politics. The only thing he is good at is speaking as though he has full command of the issues. However, his actions show him to be completely dishonest in nearly every issue and legislation from his administration.

In just the latest attempt by Obama to downplay the threat to American citizens by ISIS, he just absurdly compared terrorists hiding among Syrian refugees to another group in order to mock those of us who are concerned. President Obama said Thursday those Syrian refugees are no more dangerous to the U.S. than tourists, and he accused Republican presidential candidates of stoking fears about the refugees and closing the Guantanamo Bay terrorist detention center to score political points.

ISIS has just proven its ability to take down a civilian airliner and coordinate a multitude of attacks against a Western country, and yet Obama wants to pretend that they don’t pose any more of a threat than a vacationing Londoner or Belgian.

Does this make you feel safe? It doesn’t me friends

  5. Lie upon lie, distorted truth upon distorted truth, and fairytale upon fairytale has brought Obama to the position where he is no longer justified in expecting the ‘earned respect’ of polite questioning by anyone.

The press needs to stop “babying” him with unearned political politeness given to anyone in his position. He needs to have his feet held to the fire and be asked the hard questions that do not allow him to fabricated answers that suit his needs, but rather are simply truthful answers about anything and everything.

Elected House and Senate members need to start reviving a “Constitutional Congress” that will get the needed work of this nation done. And if Obama takes presidential action to stop these measures, then Congress needs to stand as one and override is vetoes.

A liar is like a piece of wrinkled paper – the paper can never be smoothed out and the liar can never be trusted again.

  6. We’ve spent something in the range of $4 trillion trying to topple various people that, frankly, if they were still there and if we would have spent that $4 trillion in the United States to fix our roads, our bridges, and all of the other problems — our airports and all the other problems we have — we would have been a lot better off.

We have done a tremendous disservice not only to the Middle East — we’ve done a tremendous disservice to humanity. Consider vast number of people that have been killed, been uprooted and missed placed, and the people that have been wiped away — for what? A stalemate? A status quo? It’s not like we have even a sight of victory. It’s a mess. The Middle East is totally destabilized, a total and complete mess. I wish we had the 4 trillion dollars or 5 trillion dollars. I wish it were spent right here in the United States on schools, hospitals, roads, airports, and everything else that are all falling apart!

  7. There is NOTHING about Barrack Hussain Obama in the word "fantasy". His name says it all. He is cunning, he is scheming, he is untruthful to the letter, and he has his own plan for the absolute destruction of the country.

He disguised himself as a caring, helpful American (rather than a wooden horse) and politely knocked on the door of our great Republic promising to help us be better. The rest is history after we took this imposter inside … just like the tale from the Trojan War.

I am surprised that he hasn’t via presidential orders funded and started construction on a Mosque (grander than the one in Mecca) right on the Park across the street from the White House.

  8. We have certainly established long ago, but ignored the facts until now that the problems that are beseeching being solved, the problems that lay at the certain cause of the destruction of the United States instead of being re-cycled year, after year, after year and mishandled every year will not be solved by those in Washington DC and various state capitals.

They will be solved by the people that own this country. We have had deed to it for over 240 years. We have fought for it, we have died for it. We fly her flag proudly. We were once a great and proud nation and will be again – maybe for the better.

There is the sounds of an uprising on Main Street, U.S.A. The sound comes from the West, the East, the North, and the South. We are tired and have had enough. I am still a proud American. I am just not proud of our elected government representatives and how they are treating my republic.

As the song says …”This land is my land, this land is your land, from California to the New York Islands, etc.”
