Obama and Clinton Turn Terrorism into Gun Control
Patriot Post noted yesterday that hours before the Islamist attack in Paris in November, President Obama was reassuring about the threat of ISIS terrorists : "We have contained them.” And then Paris was hit by islamist terrorists. A few days ago, Obama was asked in a CBS interview if an attack like Paris could happen here. He said : "We have to make sure that we keep a clear-eyed view about what needs to be done. ISIL is not going to pose an existential threat to us....[O]ur homeland has never been more protected by more effective intelligence and law enforcement professionals at every level than now. If you look at the number of successful terrorist attacks that have occurred, you know, we have disrupted a lot of them." And then San Bernardino was hit by islamist terrorists -- at an office Christmas party, killing14 people, wounding 21. ~~~~~ Media reports and sources provide some San Bernardino details : (1) 12 pipe bombs were found in their apartment in Redlands, a small college town 7 miles from the attack site; (2) their long guns were legally purchased; (3) the dead man visited Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and returned in 2013 and July 2014; (4) the woman entered the US on a Pakistani passport on a K-1 "fiancee" Visa; (5) smashed mobile phones and a tampered-with hard drive were found; (6) the Redlands apartment was apparently visited by Middle East men and women daily, possibly indicating a jihadist or supply cell for money, weapons, and bomb supplies; (7) the dead attackers were identified as Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik - Moslem and married - he was a health inspector for the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health; (8) “He was very religious," Farook's father said. "He would go to work, come back, go to pray, come back. He’s Moslem.” (9) Farook began growing his beard, which may signify religious observance; (10) the couple left their six-month-old child with Farook's mother before the attack, saying they had a dentist appointment; (11) in their apartment, they had weapons, bombs, bomb making apparatus, thousands of ammunition rounds, and tactical gear like they used in the attack -- indicating planning, rather than Obama's favorite excuse, workplace violence. ~~~~~ Predictably, Obama wasted no time in blaming the Second Amendment, using the San Bernardino victims as another opportunity to sell his gun-control agenda, telling reporters : "There are some steps that we could take, not to eliminate every one of these mass shootings, but to improve the odds that they don't happen as frequently -- common sense safety laws." ~~~~~ Hillary Clinton did the same thing. She was speaking during the attack. With the shooters still on the run, dead bodies and wounded victims not yet recovered, what did Mrs. Clinton, who says she's worthy to be President, do? She tweeted: “I refuse to accept this as normal. We must take action to stop gun violence now.” Her Democratic rivals were equally unworthy : Martin O’Malley called for Americans to “stand up to the NRA” and Senator Bernie Sanders declared “gun violence must stop.” ~~~~~ Do Obama, Clinton and many other Democrats understand what America and the world face from ISIS-led islamist jihadist terrorism - or do they care. In a press conference Thursday morning, Obama insisted, "We don't know why they did it....We do not know their motivations. It is also possible this is workplace related....We see the prevalence of these kinds of mass shooting in this country." But, California has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the US. And, the attack occurred in a "gun free zone." Finally, at noon yesterday, Obama said: "...we do not yet know why this terrible event occurred. It is possible that this was terrorist-related but we don’t know." ~~~~~ Dear readers, Republicans and California Democrat Governor Jerry Brown expressed sympathy for the victims and families, asking for prayers. But, the left is now mocking prayer, including the New York Daily News and the Daily Mail. Our answer : "Forgive them Lord. They know not what they do." At least we hope they don't.

But in reality they do know what they are doing and spending years to get ready for their big day.
ReplyDeleteI think there are some really big questions that need addressed and fast. But mostly the biggest is ..."do we want or can we afford to take in any more Middle eastern immigrants" and the second part of that would be ..."can we run the risk of keeping those that can be sent back"
”There is no way to stop a dedicated terrorist who is willing to pay the price.” –Desert Storm General Norman Schwarzkopf, Ret.
ReplyDeleteAnd when he said this he was talking about stopping the terrorists in the Middle east. Not in Paris, or London, or San Bernardino, California.
Under this Obama we have virtually laid down and played dead for the terrorists - ever ask yourself why?
Ask yourself this question ..."What do I want to do about this spread of terrorism?" Do you want to move - where is safe anymore? Do we even know what they want? Can they be stopped? Are we willing to suffer the stigma of the collateral deaths and damage to stop their spread in their own country? How many more Paris attacks are we going to endure until enough is enough, is enough?
The time to start stopping them was after the Munich Olympic massacres or the bombing the the USS Cole.
Have you ever asked yourself if OBL was really killed in Pakistan? Have all this leaders of various terrorists groups really been killed by the United States and various coalitions bombings?
What do we really know to be true ???
President Reagan once said …”Trust but verify” Today he may have said …” “Verify, then maybe trust”
ReplyDeleteThe list of vulnerabilities is perilously long in Baltimore just about everywhere in the United States. So how would you defend against frogmen blowing up half the harbor in Baltimore?” I don’t think it’s possible. Now factor in the 276,000 natural gas wells in the U.S., the 1.5 million miles of unprotected pipelines, the 161 oil refineries, 2,000 oil storage facilities and 10,400 hydro, coal and gas-fired power generating stations.
So clearly, we’re not protected from terrorists. And we can’t be. It’s called “Fourth Generation Warfare.” There’s plenty more proof, but unless you’re a masochist, you probably don’t want to know.
This burden of stopping terrorism will also fall on the kids, grand kids and the yet unborn. None the less, the way to stop terrorism eventually is to stop today permanently. The price will seem high. The death toll vast, but doing nothing will be enormously costly – your freedoms.
President also said ..."We are never more than 1 generation from losing our liberties."
DeleteObama and his Progressive Socialists feet must be held to the fire if they attempt any end-around attempt to alter the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution dealing with ANY form of gun control or more radically the outlawing of guns in the hands of the private sector.
ReplyDeleteThe following process to alter the Constitution is quiet clear:
The United States Constitution is unusually difficult to amend. As spelled out in Article V, the Constitution can be amended in one of two basic ways. First, amendment can take place by a vote of two-thirds of both the House of Representatives and the Senate followed by a ratification of three-fourths of the various state legislatures or conventions in three-fourths of the states (ratification by thirty-eight states would be required to ratify an amendment today). This first method of amendment is the only one used to date, and in all but the case of the 21st Amendment, state ratification took place in legislatures rather than state conventions. Second, the Constitution might be amended by a Convention called for this purpose by two-thirds of the state legislatures, if the Convention's proposed amendments are later ratified by three-fourths of the state legislatures (or conventions in three-fourths of the states).
Mr. Obama don’t tread on my Constitutional or the Rights it establishes. Citizen discourse would make the Civil Rights and Viet Nam War protest look like a Sunday School picnic.
