Congress Should Appoint a Special Prosecutor to Investigate the Obamacare Fraud on America
Mitt Romney is a modest and measured man, so when he accuses Barack Obama of being "dishonest" in what he has said about Obamacare, we should pay attention. Sunday on Meet the Press, Romney said : "He told people that they could keep their insurance and that was not the truth." The 2012 presidential candidate and former Massachusetts governor said the President "failed to learn the lessons" that came from his state's groundbreaking 2006 health care law, on which Obamacare is based. "The most important lesson the president, I think, failed to learn was, you have to tell the American people the truth," Romney said. "And when he told the American people that you could keep your health insurance if you wanted to keep that plan - period, he said that time and again - he wasn't telling the truth....He went out as a centerpiece of his campaign and as a centerpiece of Obamacare over the last several years saying time and time again that fundamental to his plan was the right people would have to keep their insurance plan, and he knew that was not the case." Obama's "fundamental dishonesty" about his signature health care law, Romney said, has "undermined the president's credibility" and "put in peril the whole foundation of his second term." "We've got to have a president that can lead, and right now he cannot do so," Romney said. Recalling the 2012 campaign, the former Republican nominee said : "No one could have worked harder than myself and my family did....Frankly, I was concerned that if the president were reelected, the economy would continue to dwindle along, we would continue to lose credibility around the world, the American people would find it harder and harder to get jobs....And we're seeing those things happen before our very eyes." ~~~~~ Karl Rove added more validation to Romney's characterization and the national experience with Obamacare when he appeared on Fox News Sunday : "He [Obama] knew there would be problems with Obamacare before the rollout but they 'hoped to skate by' as issues began bubbling to the surface following the October 1 rollout," the Republican strategist said. "These problems are going to continue....These problems were known in advance, and they hoped to skate by them." He said while the Department of Health and Human Services estimated 20% of Americans would lose their healthcare coverage in the wake of Obamacare, some studies show the number as high as 50%. "That's going to be rolling out over the next year," Rove said, adding that the cost of the program "is going to be upside down....We're going have a lot more people on Medicaid than were anticipated, a lot fewer people with private insurance…a lot fewer healthier, younger people subsidizing the coverage of older, less-healthy people," Rove said. ~~~~~ It seems that a large chunk of small business owners across America agree with Romney and Rove. Insurance brokers say small business clients are hurrying to reset their insurance policy renewal dates to December 1 to beat the huge premium hikes they fear will hit them on January 1 when Obamacare takes full effect. The brokers told USA Today that 60% to 80% of their small business clients who have 50 employees or fewer want to renew their policies early to keep their costs lower. Larger companies, who employ more than 50 full-time workers, can't adjust their renewal dates. According to the National Federation of Independent Business, nearly half of the 7 million small businesses with 50 or fewer employees offer health insurance for their workers. On Friday, the group released a survey showing 64% of 921 owners reported paying more for insurance in 2013 than in 2012. Some agents say they're seeing increases of 30% up all the way to 100% on companies' premiums, especially if their workers are younger. According to Obamacare rules, companies are limited in charging older people more than they charge younger workers, so premium prices are rising to make up the difference. ~~~~~ Dear readers, we are witnessing the mounting evidence of -- lies, -- poor decisions based on major misunderstandings about the health insurance industry, -- an abandonment of promises made to retired Americans about their prescription drug programs and out-of-picket costs, and -- a willingness to gouge the great majority of the American public and their employers in order to favor a small percentage of non-insured Americans who could have been covered at lower cost and with less disruption of the American health care system. Barack Obama was and is in charge of this monumental deception and he must be held accountable. Congress should appoint a special prosecutor to get to the bottom of the Obamacare fraud on the American people. NOW.

"nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." - Abraham Lincoln
ReplyDeleteObama - Adversity we will see, Character - ZERO
When i was in High School oh these many years ago we had a football coach that thought the world revolved around Notre Dame and their beloved coach Knute Rockne (portrayed in a movie by none other than President Reagen).
ReplyDeleteAnd one of Mr. Rockne (& our HS coach) favorite saying was ... "When the going gets tuff - the tuff gets going".
Well, America when are we going to get going and put this country back on the track where she belongs and use to live?
More than six in 10 Americans said it’s time to give a “new person a chance” to represent them in Congress while just 29 percent said they felt as though their own member of Congress deserved to be reelected. The “give someone else a try” number has never been higher in NBC-WSJ polling. The last time the desire to try someone new was even close to where it is today was in the summer of 2010, just a few months before a whopping 58 Democratic incumbents lost in a massive wave election for Republicans. In October 1994, just before Republicans surged to retake the House majority, 49 percent of Americans said they wanted someone new while 39 percent said their own member of Congress deserved reelection.
ReplyDeleteOnly an idea in case we never get to a Special Prosecutor or Articles of Impeachment before November 2014 election day
The administration takes about 15,000,000,000 that will lose their private self paid health insurance. In the Federal Registry last week the administration admitted to 95,000,000,000 over all would loose their insurance coverage self paid or employee paid.
ReplyDeleteThere is ONE fact that the administration is omitting in these numbers - these numbers are not just numbers they are PEOPLE. they are your next door neighbors, they may may represent you.
So look at it this way 15,000,000,000 PEOPLE or 95,000,000,000 PEOPLE will be without health insurance the way it looks now (due to the failure of Obamacare/ACA) because of President Obama, and his lying ways that stared in 2009 about you could keep your plan, you could keep your doctor if you wanted too under Obamacare.
And there is only one way to tell this story ... IT WAS A LIE AND OBAMA KNEW IT WHEN HE FIRST UTTERED THE WORDS - YOU CAN KEEP YOUR PLAN, YOU CAN KEEP YOUR DOCTOR, ETC.
he was lying in order to get his destructive health care bill accepted by you and passed by your representatives in Congress.
Folks there are "NO little lies or white lies" - there are lies and Obama is good at using them for his own selfish needs ... you 15 or 95,000,000,000 people be damned.
WE have been told over and over just how smart our president is. how very well he did at all the fine institutions of higher learning he attended. What we are not shown is the simple proof of these self made claims.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama should be reminded that a genius does not complicate what is simple in order to show his intelligence. instead if the individual is so intelligent he should be able to simply the complicated aspects in order to have the less fortunate understand the concept. Unless the goal was to further confuse the folks on Main Street.
The old Shell Game has been invoked by Obama.
Why use honesty when it is a foreign tool.
Alexander Hamilton said of impeachment: "[Imeachable conduct is] misconduct by public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust."
ReplyDeleteWell that fits the picture doesn't it?
With all the bad press about the web site for Obamacare, the bad Insurance news, the dropped plans, and from this past weekend the prominent democratic that are beginning to show disapproval with the whole mishandled mess ... why is Obama not altering his stringent stance on this issue?
ReplyDeleteAfter all when his fellow friend Van Jones that strongest of Progressive Socialists within Obama's inner circle of friends comes out and forthrightly says he is going to pay a step price for misrepresenting (lying as it is called outside Washington DC) the fact about keeping ones plan and/or doctor
Is he holding onto the debate over Obamacare/ACA in order to simply divert the national debate from something else? Something like a time bomb about Benghazi, or the NSA scandal, Justice department dealings, etc.
It's hard to imagine, but there is something bigger than the disastrous pit falls of Obamacare for our president.
Obama though would rather suffer his wounds over Obamacare/ACA than whatever the other thing(s) is or are.
Stop at Obamacare ... WHY
ReplyDeleteAmericans are still getting insurance cancellation letters. They are still facing the doubling or tripling of their insurance premiums. And just wht is the Congress doing about this ... beside NOTHING
ReplyDeleteThe Senate is fighting with the happiness of our sexually confused citizens. And the house well they are in session i believe. Or they have all gone some place and we'll discover that in a few weeks.
Why are things like, NSA, Obamacare, the Military Purge that Obama is conducting, the Justice Department rampage on Wall Street (which is greater than the destruction of the old JP Morgan empire), the competency of Kathleen Sibelius to continue at HHS, not front and center today
Seems like the wolves are running the Hen House's (Newsrooms)
