Obama's Open-Door Immigration Policy Catastrophe

The Democrat Party's and President Obama's socialist policies and laxity reaches to unvetted, untracked illegal immigrants. Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, testified before the House Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security this month, saying a new federal stand-down order forces border patrol agents to release many arrested illegal immigrants and bans agents from ordering their return to a deportation hearing : "Immigration laws today appear to be mere suggestions, there are little to no consequences for breaking the laws and that fact is well known in other countries. If government agencies...bypass Congress...we might as well abolish our immigration laws altogether." Judd said the new policy is part of the Obama administration "priorities" program that only targets illegal immigrants who enter the US after January 1, 2014 : "...the new policy makes mandatory the release, without a [Notice to Appear], of any person arrested by the Border Patrol for being in the country illegally, as long as they don't have a previous felony arrest and conviction and...they claim to have been continuously in the United States since January of 2014....The policy does not require the person to prove they've been here,...it simply requires them to 'claim' to have been here since January of 2014." Judd said agents are not only ordered to release the illegals, "we do it without any means of tracking their whereabouts." Judd said the new policy was caused by the administration's "embarrassment" that only half of illegals appear in court. Border Patrol Agents call the court-ordered appearances "Notices to Disappear." The new DHS targeting policy merely prompts more people to sneak across the border, including drug cartel members, Judd said. ~~~~~ Newsmax reports that Cubans now enter the US through Mexico, traveling through Central America to the US-Mexico border, because the Obama administration continues to use the 50-year-old policy of granting Cubans asylum if they can make it onto US soil. Cubans can visit Ecuador without a visa and thousands of them then move 2,000 miles overland north to the US-Mexico border. Senator Marco Rubio and Representative Carlos Curbelo, both sons of Cuban exiles, have filed bills in Congress to limit entry to Cubans who are truly fleeing persecution and not seeking better economic opportunity. The White House resists the move, continuing its process of expanding relations with Cuba. ~~~~~ Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson says Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's expedited process for Syrian refugees seeking asylum worries him because terrorists may be embedded with the refugees and then try to enter the US from Canada. But, Johnson said, the biggest threat to the US is the southern border with Mexico. ~~~~~ Illegal immigration from Central America is at a record pace -- with 40,000 families, and children traveling alone, caught on the Mexican border since October, according to new Border Patrol reports. In December 9,000 families were caught -- a 38% increase from November and the highest total ever for a December. Border Patrol agents also caught 6,800 children traveling alone, a 21% increase over November. December marks the largest single month of family and unaccompanied minor border crossings since the surge in spring 2014. DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson has approved a series of raids to capture and deport women and children caught in 2014, who are under deportation orders but refuse to leave. The raids have led to the arrest of a tiny 0.1% of the illegals in the surge -- but Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, demand that Obama halt the raids and find ways to let the illegal immigrants stay. ~~~~~ Dear readers, the DHS "Entry/Exit Overstay Report" for the fiscal year ending September 2015 contains a truly alarming admission -- DHS has lost track of 527,127 people who entered the US last year with visas and then disappeared. Obama/Democrat socialism is flooding America with illegals. Another thing to think about while you are deciding who to vote for in 2016.

  1. The United States of America is under siege from The Obama White House, from the Democratic Party, from nearly all elected Democratic officials across this land, from the "money people" like George Soros that are the life blood of all the aforementioned groups and individuals.

There is no possible "can't we just get along" with theses progressive Socialists. There is no room left for consideration of bi-partisanship with any democratic member of the House of Representatives or the Senate.

Every elected democrat is beholden in one way or another to the national and State democratic leadership. Leadership that is so tainted, so treasonous, so un-American that none of them, not one single one can be trusted.

If their lips are moving they are lying. If their lips are not moving they are still lying.

  2. Obama’s open door immigration policy is nothing more than a source of more democratic voters who will march lock-step with their benefactors – the Democratic Party.

No matter what the Obama led immigration scandal is or ends up being, it is not about anything except more votes. And for those votes the democrats will deliver all the welfare and entitlements needed to keep this new source of “illegal immigrants and therefore new illegal registered voters content to be pawns in America.

Be very suspicious of all the promises from Hillary Clinton during the General Election. Question everything. Believe nothing except your own conclusions.

    1. Welfare use among immigrants and their progeny is stubbornly high, because their poverty rates are stubbornly high. Hispanics are the biggest users of government health care and the biggest supporters of Obamacare. They favor big government and the higher taxes necessary to pay for it. The claim that low-skilled immigration is an economic boon to the country as a whole is false. It fails to take into account the government services consumed by low-skilled immigrants and their children, such as schools, hospitals, and prisons.

  3. The lesson from the last 20 years of immigration policy is that lawlessness breeds more lawlessness. Once a people or a government decides to normalize one form of lawbreaking, other forms of lawlessness will follow until finally the rule of law itself is in thoughtful trouble. Today, we have a constitutional crisis on our hands. President Obama has decided that because Congress has not granted amnesty to millions of illegal aliens living in the U.S., he will do so himself.

Article 2, Section 3, of the Constitution mandates that the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.”

This provision assumes that there is a law for the president to execute. But in this case, the “problem” that Obama is purporting to fix is the absence of a law granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Rather than executing a law, Obama is making one up—assuming to himself a function that the Constitution explicitly allocates to Congress. Should this unconstitutional power grab stand, we will have moved very far in the direction of rule by dictator. The absence of a congressional law granting amnesty is not evidence of political failure that must somehow be corrected by unilateral executive action; it is rather evidence of the lack of popular consensus regarding amnesty. There has been no amnesty statute to date because the political will for such an amnesty is lacking.

  4. We must insist on the importance of the rule of law. At the very least, that means rehabilitating deportation and ceasing to normalize illegal immigration with our huge array of sanctuary policies. Liberals appear indifferent to the erosion of law, and even too many conservatives are willing to excuse immigration law-breaking in order to placate what they imagine to be a conservative voting bloc in waiting.

We must radically reorient our legal immigration system towards high skilled immigrants to fill our needs, not to accommodate the needs more legal or illegal wage earners that end up spending most of their life time on our welfare rolls. Paying no taxes or Social Security and drawing on every wildly created progressive Socialists entitlement program.

Any Immigration policy should be forged with one consideration in mind: America’s economic self-interest. Immigration is not a service we provide to the rest of the world.
