Democrats Are Frighteningly Close-minded about the Reality of Living under Socialism -- in Miami, Melania Trump Called It "Oppressive"

NEVER WILL THERE BE SOCIALISM IN AMERICA. President Trump is carrying that flag for us and doing a great job. • • • THE VENEZUELA SPEECH AND RALLY. It was in Miami on Monday evening and the crowd was wildly supportive of the President's message. • Fox News reported : "President Donald Trump, speaking in a major foreign policy address in Miami to members of the Venezuelan community, declared Monday that 'a new day is coming in Latin America' and issued a stark assessment that 'socialism is dying' across the world. In a wide-ranging rebuke of socialism that seemed targeted as much at Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua as it was at congressional Democrats, Trump remarked : 'We know that socialism is not about justice, it's not about equality, it's not about lifting up the poor -- it's about one thing only : power for the ruling class. And, the more power they get, the more they crave. They want to run health care, run transportation and finance, run energy, education, run everything. They want the power to decide who wins and who loses, who's up and who's down, what's true and what's false, and even who lives and who dies.' Before a supportive and raucous crowd at Florida International University in Miami Trump announced, flanked by large American and Venezuelan flags, 'This will never happen to us....America will never be a socialist country.' " • President Trump made that promise as Democrats have proposed an evolving agenda of Medicare-for-all, free college tuition, minimum wage increases and even guaranteed basic income. The President's answer to these socialist ideas is : "When Venezuela is free, and Cuba is free, and Nicaragua is free, this will become the first free hemisphere in all of human history." • The Venezuela address was the second time recently that President Trump has directly condemned what he calls "the horrors of socialism and communism" and "massive wealth confiscation." He vowed during his State of the Union address that "America will never be a socialist country," a remark that left Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -- both self-proclaimed socialists -- stone-faced. In his State of the Union address, President Trump condemned President Nicolas Maduro for "turning that nation from being the wealthiest in South America into a state of abject poverty and despair" through a mixture of "brutality" and "socialist policies." The President delivered the same message in Miami, repeatedly calling on Venezuela's military to rise up and take on Maduro, who has blocked US humanitarian aid shipments. • President Trump's message is this : "We know the truth about socialism in Venezuela, in Cuba, in Nicaragua, and all around the world. Socialism promises prosperity, but it delivers poverty. Socialism promises unity, but it delivers hatred and it delivers division. Socialism promises a better future, but it always returns to the darkest chapters of the past. That never fails. It always happens. Socialism is a sad and discredited ideology rooted in a total ignorance of history and human nature, which is why socialism, eventually, must always give rise to tyranny -- which it does. Socialists profess a love of diversity, but they always insist on absolute conformity." • Fox News reported that as the crowd in Miami chanted "USA," Trump, who was joined by first lady Melania [who spoke in Miami about how "oppressive" it was to grow up under Communism and Socialism and how much she appreciated her freedom when she became a US citizen], Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and National Security Advisor John Bolton, again declared that Guaido was the country's rightful president, and the President asserted : "The people of Venezuela stand at the threshold of history -- ready to reclaim their country and to reclaim their future. Not long ago, Venezuela was the wealthiest nation by far in South America. But, years of socialist rule have brought this once-thriving nation to the brink of ruin." • Just as US globalist-socialist Democrats would rather see Americans murdered by illegal aliens than secure the southern border, Venezuela's socialist strongman Madura would rather see his people starve than let US humanitarian aid into the country. The planeloads of aid sit in Colombia at the border with Venezuela, while Venezuelans starve. The President reminded us : "The results have been catastrophic. Almost 90% of Venezuelans now live in poverty. In 2018, hyperinflation in Venezuela exceeded one million percent. Crippling shortages of food and medicine plague the country. Socialism has so completely ravaged this great country that even the world's largest reserves of oil are no longer enough to keep the lights on." • Widening his remarks on socialism, President Trump told the Miami audience : "The days of socialism and communism are numbered not only in Venezuela, but in Nicaragua and Cuba as well." Fox News reported that the crowd roared as President Trump asked, "Do we love Cuba? Do we love Nicaragua? Great countries. Great potential." • The aid is supposed to be moved into Venezuela on February 23 by supporters of Guaido. But, Maduro has called the aid unnecessary and said it constituted an attempt to destabilize his government. Yet, free meals served daily on the Colombian side of the border are always eaten by hungry Venezuelans. • On Sunday, Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio -- introduced by President Trump at the beginning of his Monday address -- visited a border staging point for US aid to Venezuela and warned soldiers loyal to Maduro that it would be a "crime against humanity" if they blocked entry of the goods being channeled through Maduro's rivals. An enthusiastic throng of Venezuelan migrants, some chanting "Rubio! Liberty," met the Senator as he visited Cucuta and held a news conference in sight of a border bridge that has been flooded in recent months by people escaping the hardships of Venezuela's hyperinflation and severe shortages of food and medicine. While Russia, China, Turkey and a large number of Asian and African socialist-leaning countries still back Maduro, Senator Rubio dismissed them, saying in English : "The countries that support Maduro do not surprise us. All of them are corrupt and none of them is a democracy and many of them are owed billions of dollars that they want to get paid by the corrupt regime." • • • A POLL SHOWS CAPITALISM BEATS SOCIALISM WITH AMERICANS. Fox News reported last Friday that : "Capitalism is far more popular than socialism, according to a Fox News Poll of registered voters. The poll also finds economic optimism high, and the number wanting help from the government the lowest in years. The new poll, released Wednesday, asks what message voters want to send to the federal government. Over half would say 'leave me alone.' About a third would ask Uncle Sam to 'lend me a hand.' The 34% saying 'lend me a hand' is down from 41% last year and 39% in 2016. The 55% who would tell the government 'leave me alone' is up from 51% in 2018 and 54% in 2016." The Fox poll shows that 57% of voters have a positive opinion of capitalism -- more than twice the number who feel the same about socialism (25%). Some of the groups most likely to have a favorable view of socialism include self-identified liberals (50%), Clinton voters (43%), and those under age 30 (36%). Nearly four out of five voters feel their family either achieved the American Dream (38%), or is on the way toward achieving it (40%). One in five believes the dream is out of reach (18%), and 63% feel optimistic about the economy. Optimism stood at 49% in 2016. By a 25-point margin, more Republicans (72%) than Democrats (47%) have a positive view of capitalism. And, Republicans (54%) are three times as likely as Democrats (17%) to have a “strongly” favorable view of capitalism. Over half of Democrats, 54%, would tell the government to “lend me a hand,” while most Republicans, 77%, and a 58% majority of independents, would say “leave me alone.” • • • WHAT DO DEMOCRATS SEE IN SOCIALISM? Senator Elizabeth Warren must think it will toss the President into jail quicker. She recently told an Iowa audience : "Here’s what bothers me, by the time we get to 2020, Donald Trump may not even be President. In fact, he may not even be a free person. But here’s how I see it : Donald Trump is not the only problem we’ve got. Donald Trump is the symptom of a badly broken system.” That is a real joke, coming from a woman who lied her way into jobs and even took a DNA test to try to prove the unprovable -- Pocahontas is NOT a Native American. And, she really doesn't even understand impeachment, which is not a criminal procedure -- all it can do is remove a person from office. Period. • Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks socialism will produce a “Green” New Deal. Ocasio-Cortez described the proposal as “a national, social, industrial and economic mobilization at a scale not seen since World War II” that provides “a sustainable environment for all for generations to come” while promoting “justice and equity.” As with most socialist ideas, the Green New Deal sounds terrific until you realize that it would take over ALL aspects of our lives -- starting with the impossible notion that renewable energy can serve 100% of our energy needs. As Institute for Energy Research President Tom Pyle noted, this promise “defies the laws of physics” and “would be impossible to achieve.” We have to trust that the Democratic Party will in fact do it by magic. A similar war is being waged in Canada, where green protesters want to shut down the pipeline that (quite literally) fuels their economy. The fundamental problem is that the people who want to fund every crazy social program imaginable want to do it while annihilating the economic base that would provide for that. And, in Germany, for example, reality set in when the government's idea of increasing green energy to well over 50% would mean installing more wind turbines than there is space in Germany to hold them. Nice work Socialists. As someone ask Ocasio-Cortez when she announced a multi-city tour -- will she be walking from city to city??? • New York's uber-socialist Democrats have already proved that they, too, are capable of screwing things up. Both the city and state governments have built a financial house of cards and are fast approaching an economic reckoning. Income-tax revenues are falling off a cliff, while hiring and spending continue to climb. City spending has soared by some 25% since 2014, including a planned $3 billion hike this year -- even as income-tax collections are declining by nearly $1 billion. NY projects its income-tax collections will decline by $2.3 billion, or about 4%, just as politicians begin their annual budget binge. Already the state plans to spend $176 billion, an increase of nearly 4%. By the way, Florida, with a million more people, manages to get by with spending just $89 billion -- and without a state income tax. The late economist Herb Stein once said of such imbalances : “If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.” Yet, the socialist twins Mayor de Blasio and Governor Cuomo show no signs of stopping, instead hoping that a tweak here and there will be enough to keep their tax-and-spend scams afloat. De Blasio touted “cuts” to spending -- despite the $3 billion projected increase! That kind of “cuts” leads to bankruptcy. AND, as in all socialist paradises -- despite the high spending, there is a noticeable decline in the quality of life, and the subways are falling apart. What happens when the lean times come -- and be sure, they are coming to NY and NYC. Governor Cuomo also likes to blame cold weather for why higher-income families flee his clutches. As one analyst said : "Oh, it’s the climate all right -- the high tax, anti-business climate that is making the state No. 1 in having its residents leave for other states." • And, socialists are all for abortion that verges on infanticide. The Washington Times reported last week that Vermont is trying to "doubles down" on "no- limits' abortion. The Washington Times says Vermont may already be the most abortion-friendly state in the nation -- there are no restrictions in state law -- but a bill to put unfettered access in writing has raised alarm about sanctioning late-term procedures and opening the door to a case of out-and-out murder being tossed out of court under an abortion-infanticide law that probably would have freed Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell. New York and Virginia led the way in legalizing most late-term abortions, even allowing procedures up until birth, but the Vermont bill is at least as sweeping in that it ensures the status quo in a state where abortion limits were lifted in a 1972 court decision. Not all Vermonters are comfortable with no-limits abortion. An unintended consequence of the legislation and ensuing media attention is that residents are grappling with the reality of the state’s “breathtaking legal abortion,” as a lobbyist put it. Two state legislators have reportedly withdrawn their support, but the bill still has more than 90 co-sponsors -- although an estimated two-thirds of the 1,000 people who turned out at last week’s public hearing sided with the opposition. While NY Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the abortion-infanticide bill January 22, the anniversary of the Roe decision, the Virginia legislation was defeated after state Republicans tabled it in subcommittee. BUT, in New Mexico, H.B. 51, a bill lifting abortion restrictions, was approved by the House on a 40-29 vote last week and sent to the Senate. Democrats control both houses of the legislature. • • • DOES PRESIDENT TRUMP HAVE AMERICA'S PULSE? Is socialism going to be the big issue on the 2020 presidential campaign? Even potential 2020 Trump opponent Michael Bloomberg took the President's side : "If you want to look at a system that is not capitalistic, just take a look at what was perhaps the wealthiest country in the world and today people are starving to death. It's called Venezuela." Pollsters at CNN and CBS seem to be saying 'yes,' President Trump may have found the formula for winning a second term in 2020. His State of the Union address, say the two networks, met with the approval of 76% of all viewers -- 97% of Republicans, 82% of independents and 30% of Democrats. And, 72% agreed with the President's plans for securing the border with Mexico. • President Trump has not yet miscalled the public's sentiment on any issue, and his focus on avoiding socialism, securing the borders, and speaking out against abortion on demand right up to the day of birth just might be his winning agenda for 2020. Americans respond from their souls when the President says something like he said at his State of the Union address : "Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country. America was founded on liberty and independence -- not government coercion, domination, and control. We are born free, and we will stay free. America will never be a socialist country." The President uttered another American axiom in his State of the Union speech : "And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth : All children -- born and unborn -- are made in the holy image of God." No President, in any State of the Union, has ever made a stronger statement in defense of life, says Patrick Buchanan. • • • DEAR READERS, the Daily Caller and Blabber Buzz stated ten days ago : "There are no areas in which liberals, progressives, leftists, socialists, or whatever they want to call themselves this week, are working for the betterment of American citizens or to advance the cause of individual liberty. Their entire existence appears to be just the opposite. That’s why they must be destroyed. Rush Limbaugh, if I remember correctly, used to talk about wanting to keep a few liberals around so future generations could see that they were once real. That was in the 90s, when they still had a grasp on reality. Seems quaint now." • Nancy Pelosi’s city, San Francisco, is overrun with feces and used hypodermic needles as illegal aliens flood her state. She doesn’t see disaster, or even a problem, she sees what she’d like to bring everywhere. To that end, Democrats are moving to destroy the ideas that make up America; everything that makes the United States worth defending. It’s not just the so-called 'Green New Deal,' the Marxist dream packaged as the answer to imaginary problems and pushed by the buck-toothed, bug-eyed Freshman Congresswoman from New York, it’s every concept they’re advocating. A concept like eliminating cow farts and planes would have been treated like the joke it is just 5 years ago, now it’s gospel with millions of devotees. Monetary benefits for people 'unwilling to work' would’ve gotten a politician run out of town, just as blatantly lying about it would have. Now a throne-sniffing media and presidential hopefuls treats its author like she’s the giver of light and not the incompetent narcissist who’s lucky breathing is a reflex because she’d forget how to do it that it....Democrats preach tolerance while celebrating the hatred of Israel. They award themselves the mantle of 'champions of women' while one of their own is credibly accused of rape. They actively cheer legalizing infanticide, then deny the did it. They decry racism while backing off calls for the resignations of 2 statewide officials with a history of painting themselves in blackface. Does anyone believe Ralph Northam was a dance contest champion for moonwalking with a little shoe polish on his cheeks? Does anyone believe Mark Herring was huge rap fan in 1980 while not living in New York City? Only the same people who believe Elizabeth Warren -- a woman so white, her camouflage in a snow storm is nudity -- lost family members on the Trail of Tears. Which is to say no one. Everything Democrats are is a lie, everything the advocate for is cover for those lies. And everything they are pushing is the antithesis of what made this country the beacon of liberty for the world. I don’t know why they hate liberty, I don’t know why they seek to make this country like those people flee to come here, I just know that they do. And I know they must be stopped. But, stopping them isn’t an option; they can’t be stopped. They’re like the Terminator -- they will not stop. They can only be vanquished, destroyed. And destroyed they must be. Since there is unlikely to be an industrial sized hydraulic press in which to smash them, destroying them is going to take a little more work. They have to be exposed. We can no longer count on the insanity of their words and actions to turn people off. The 'Green New Deal' resolution read like an authoritarian kindergartner’s letter to Santa Claus, yet it was greeted by adults who should know better as important and serious. We’re too far removed from the horrors of communism in the Cold War for those lessons to resonate with voters, we’re too deep into an education system indoctrinating a generation into believing collectivism works and government is the only entity capable of delivering opportunity. Too many people believed elected leaders when they said the system was rigged against them, that there’s no point in trying. Young people expect government to protect them, to parent them, to provide. They’ve been conditioned to despise success; envy and entitlement have supplanted the American Spirit. Liberalism has gone from being a contrary philosophy to being an evil. It’s not enough to beat it an election or two, it must be thoroughly decimated. If it is not destroyed, it will win. If it wins, it’s over. When addressing how to pay for the government assuming the role of providing so much in the name of saving the planet, the 'Green New Deal' simply declares, 'At the end of the day, this is an investment in our economy that should grow our wealth as a nation, so the question isn’t how will we pay for it, but what will we do with our new shared prosperity. There is no lie too big to tell and no shortage of people conditioned and willing to believe it. You can’t 'compromise' with that, you must destroy it before it destroys you." • That article should be saved and re-read before voting in every election. • Yet, despite all their brainless, anti-American claptrap, these socialist-marxist Democrats are somehow viewed as reasonable voices in the political debate. Burt, a February 10-12 Fox News poll found that freshman Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a favorable rating underwater at 39% unfavorable, although she has a 26% favorability rating and just 19% of Americans haven’t heard of her. Of the people tested, first lady Melania Trump received the highest favorable rating in the poll (47% favorable vs. 37% unfavorable), followed by President Trump (43% favorable to 54% unfavorable), Vice President Mike Pence (42-44%), and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. (36-51%). • These socialist Democrats with their frighteningly uninformed, unworkable ideas about how to govern America can be beaten. BUT, it will not happen if Republicans and conservatives sit back and treat this crisis as just another political boxing match. But, remember that the Democrats are wearing gloves loaded with nuclear warheads pointed at the heart of America. Stand up, America, and fight !!!
