Trump-McConnell News Conference Gives Hope, while Fake News Rampages through CNN, the NFL, Hillary's Laments and the NYTimes

THE REAL NEWS TODAY IS ABOUT THE TRUMP - McCONNELL NEWS CONFERENCE. They were great together and agreed on everything on Trump's agenda -- tax reform; getting judicial nominees approved; the Wall; repealing Obamacare; and economic reform that is going to be introduced by the President soon. • I was happy to see the two of them on the same podium Monday, reading from the same page. I like Mitch McConnell and I have not been able to figure out what happened to him over the summer. Maybe he was just overwhelmed by the arrogance of the Democrat Senate minority using procedural niceties to throw a wrench into evey bill McConnell tried to get through the Senate. Maybe he was having his OMG moment about having a non-politician in the White House, one who would speak the truth even if it ruffled Republican feathers. Whatever it was, I hope Mitch is over it and today was the first day of the rest of his GOP Senate leadership. • As for President Trump, he has learned how to deal with the White House press corps. He answered calmly and zinged his points across, no matter what the question. He has learned that the podium and the agenda are his, not the media's. And his comportment and answers show that the days are gone when his words would feed the Trump-hating Progressive media for weeks. And, if smiles count, Majority Leader Mitch was pleased as punch to see Trump handling the press corps so adroitly. • The hot topic was tax reform and Trump and McConnell say it will be done before the end of this year or in the first quarter of 2018 at the latest. It will include deep cuts in corporate tax rates and relief for the middle class. It will make America an even better place to do business and produce products. it will greatly aid in job creation. It will bring American profits now tucked away overseas back to the US under new rules for repatriation of foreign profits -- that alone will free up an estimated $3 trillion dollars to be invested in America. • Obamacare is not a dead issue. Both men said it will be taken up again after tax reform. Meanwhile, the President is doing all he can by executive order to provide relief for Americans choking under Obamacare costs while getting no health care services for their payments. Trump also said he is working on reducing prescription drug costs that are "exorbitant." His goal is to make prescription durgs affordable for all Americans. • President Trump announced his upcoming trip to China, Japan; Korea and perhaps the Philippines as part of his participation in the economic summit in Asia. He said he would be addressing North Korea issues and other items during his trip. • It was a good news conference. The press seemed to be asking better, more logical questions instead of trying to trap Trump. This was one more sign that Trump is winning the war with the Progressive cabal determined to oust him. • • • BANNON AND HANNITY. Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon joined Sean Hannity on Fox News last week. They talked about anti-Trump Republicans in the House and Senate, particularly Senator Bob Corker, who Bannon called an absolute disgrace ; "If Bob Corker has any honor, any decency, he should resign immediately. He should not let those words stand.” Corker told the New York Times on October 8 that Trump treats the White House like a “reality show” and that his temperament threatened “World War III.” Bannon told Hannity he plans to support primary opponents for anti-Trump Republicans seeking reelection in 2018. The plan would attempt to oust nearly every incumbent Republican because Bannon says the establishment has prevented Trump’s legislative agenda : “When you want to talk about why there’s no repeal and replace, why there’s no tax cut, why there’s no tax reform, why there’s no infrastructure bill, you saw it right there. Corker, McConnell, and the entire clique, establishment globalist clique, on Capitol Hill have to go." Hannity answered by saying : “They are the Swamp. Republicans are weak, and pathetic, and they’re lacking an identity, and the forgotten men and women that voted this election are being let down.” • Let's hope that Monday's joint Trump-McConnell news conference is the beginning of a turnaround in Senate Republican behavior. • • • NOW, FOR THE FAKE NEWS. And who could the fake news be coming from? Progressive Democrats and the mainstream media, of course. • • • SPECIAL COUNSEL MUELLER AND FAKE NEWS. American Thinker published a piece by John Dietrich recently that takes on a CNN "exclusive" about Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team meeting with the infamous Russian dossier author, Christopher Steele. CNN says it has "learned" that the FBI and the rest of the US intelligence community took the Steele dossier more seriously than they publicly acknowledged. Dietrich notes that CNN did not feel it necessary to quote "unnamed" sources : "No more reliable anonymous sources. They just 'learned' it. CNN is the network whose former head, Eason Jordan, wrote an op-ed in 2003 in the New York Times entitled 'The News We Kept to Ourselves' about how the network intentionally distorts the news." • Dietrich finds it amazing that CNN believes, or at least claims, that people of average or above average intelligence took the "dossier" seriously. As Dietrich points out : "Even Vice President Joe Biden recognized it as a fraud. In January 2017, Obama's Director of National Intelligence James Clapper claimed that the intelligence community had 'not made any judgment that the information in this document is reliable.' " But, undaunted by the facts, CNN claimed in its "exclusive" that : "The CIA, and the FBI took Steele's research seriously enough that they kept it out of a publicly released January report on Russian meddling in the election in order to not divulge which parts of the dossier they had corroborated and how." The CNN article continued down the Fake News road : "While the most salacious allegations in the dossier haven't been verified, its broad assertion that Russia waged a campaign to interfere in the election is now accepted as fact by the US intelligence community." • By the way, President Trump said at Monday's news conference that the Russia collusion spin was the Democrat way of avoiding the truth about why they lost the election. • The Fake News at the heart of the Trump-Russia hoax is that the mainstream media originally reported that all 17 intel agencies were said to have reviewed the dossier and agreed to its contents being true -- it was repeated ad nauseam. But, later it was revealed that only three agencies had reviewed and agreed -- and they were chosen by a non-authorized method, apparently in order to select three agencies headed by known Obama loyalists, who just happened to be perjurers -- Comey (FBI), Brennan (CIA) and Clapper (DNI) -- who dislike Trump intensely. • The technique of repeating a false story until it is absorbed into the sub-conscious of the Deep State, ProgDems, the MSM, and even GOP#NeverTrumpers, has worked. But, Dietrich reminds us that Senator Richard Burr, Republican chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, stated : "The Committee cannot really decide the credibility of the dossier without understanding things like, who paid for it? Who are your sources and sub-sources?" The House, the Senate, the intel agencies, a special counsel, and thousands of reporters hoping for 15 minutes of fame have been searching for more than a year for any "hint." So far, there is No Evidence...!!! James Comey, James Clapper, and John Brennan knew that the Steele dossier was fake, says Dietrich : "You don't have to be an intel expert" to know that....if Joe Biden recognized it as nonsense, we can bet the Steele dossier is just that -- nonsense -- especially since, says Dietrich, the FBI "will not divulge which parts of the dossier they had corroborated and how." And, we can bet that CNN and the rest of the MSM and Swamp long ago would have leaked anything that was of value in condemning President Trump. • • • THE NFL NONSENSE CONTINUES. President Trump said again on Monday that if the NFL had suspended every "kneeler" for one game, and for a second game if the action continued, until after several kneels, the player was suspended for the year, then the protest would not have grown into the headache it has become for the NFL. Trump said America is angry -- "look at the stadiums and TV ratings" -- because the kneeling shows disrespect for the Flag and for the counrty. • When Vice President Pence walked out during a football game on October 8 because not all the players stood for the National Anthem, Hillary Clinton said it was their First Amendment right to kneel. Most Progressives agree. They called the VP's walkout a PR stunt. • The point is -- who cares? We won't fall into the trap of treating this as if the NFL and the Trump administration are equals. They are not. The Trump White House is on the right side of this; the polling shows it. The fans’ reactions have shown it. The NFL owners know it. Since Trump weighed in on the Anthem protests during games, there have been spikes in refund requests from ticket holders, sales have dropped, and approval has sunk. It’s playing a part in the torpedoing of NFL ratings this season. • Colin Kaepernick, who was a quarterback for the 49ers, and his antics are viewed as unpatriotic by 72% of Americans. It’s not about the issues. It’s not about free speech. Everyone knows these players have that right, but if this was meant to create some awareness about alleged police brutality or race relations, that got lost in the method used to deliver the message. The fans, the American people, see only one thing -- players disrespecting the Flag and our troops -- those who are veterans and others who are still in uniform. Trump, the fans, and others who are against these antics don’t have to do anything. They don’t have to explain. They’ve already won. The NFL is perhaps slowly learning this. The NFL Players Association has a way to go. TheHill reported after the Pence walkout that the NFL Players Association released a statement in support of players' constitutional rights to "peacefully raise awareness" : “Our men and their families are also conscientious Americans who continue to be forces for good through our communities and some have decided to use their platform to peacefully raise awareness to issues that deserve attention. It is a source of enormous pride that some of the best conversations about these issues have taken place in our locker rooms in a respectful, civil and thoughtful way that should serve as a model for how all of us can communicate with each other. We should not stifle these discussions and cannot allow our rights to become subservient to the very opinions our Constitution protects. That is what makes us the land of the free and home of the brave.” • How about the NFL Players Association letting a camera and mike into the locker rooms where the "respectful, civil and thoughtful" conversations are occurring??? • There is a multitude of ways to raise awareness for whatever issues these players want to address -- social media accounts, interviews, the creation of non-profit organizations. Getting attention by protesting the Star-Spangled Banner is all wrong as PR -- a lot like burning down a schoolhouse to protest bad teachers. Everyone who is not an NFL kneeler will see Pence, like Trump, being a cheerleader for America, which is something that’s been absent for nearly a decade. The NFL will continue to get hit in the ratings and with empty seats because of this nonsense. • • • HILLARY TAKES A FAKE KNEE. On October 9, after the Pence walkout, Hillary Clinton announced her support for the NFL National Anthem protests. The former presidential candidate pledged her support to the hundreds of NFL players who have protested during the National Anthem this season while speaking at the University of California, Davis. Hillary said : “Let’s be clear, those players aren’t protesting the National Anthem or the Flag. They’re protesting racism and injustice, and they have every right to do so!” • Is it any wonder she lost the presidential election? There has rarely been a national politician who is so skillful at taking the wrong position on every issue that comes her way. As Trump said on Monday : "Democrats are bad politicians. But, they are good at obstruction." • Hillary also has decided not to return or donate to charity the more than $5,000 in contributions from the former co-owner of a website linked to underage prostitution and whose donations have backed a number of current and former Democratic politicians into a corner. Controversy surrounding donations from the owners of Backpage.com, an online classified website that has come under fire from politicians including California Senator Kamala Harris, has forced a number of politicians to return or donate the tainted contributions. Jim Larkin, a former co-owner of Backpage, gave a $5,400 contribution on July 26, 2016, to the Hillary Victory Fund, a joint fundraising effort between the Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and more than 30 state Democratic parties. The money was then transferred to Hillary for America, Clinton's campaign committee. The campaign appears to have not returned the money to Larkin, according to Federal Election Commission records. Backpage's practices caused the National Association of Attorneys General in 2013 to urge Congress to amend federal law to fight child sex trafficking and hold companies such as Backpage accountable. The House of Representatives passed legislation in May 2014 to punish companies that knowingly advertise commercial sex acts involving a minor or gain benefit from such advertisements. GOP Representative Ann Wagner, the bills cosponsor, referenced Backpage as a vehicle "for advertising the victims of the child sex trade to the world." The US Senate unanimously passed a resolution in 2016, organized by Senator Rob Portman, to hold Backpage in contempt of Congress for not complying with a subpoena -- the company refused to provide documents on how they were combating trafficking in their advertisements. Carl Ferrer, the chief executive officer of the website, was arrested in October 2016. Arrest warrants for Larkin and Lacey were later issued that described them as "controlling shareholders" of Backpage. The three men, along with two other executives, in January appeared in front of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations in Washington. The subcommittee released a report stating that not only was the site hosting the ads, they were actively editing them to remove words in relation to underage trafficking, as reported by ABC News at the time. Clinton's campaign and victory fund treasurers have not commented. • AND, on Monday, we learned that the Clinton Foundation will apparently not return or donate to charity the $250,000 contribution made by Harvey Weinstein -- it has already been spent. • Need we say more??? The money-money Clintons seem not to be moved by child porn or repeated sexual assaults -- but we knew that, didn't we. • • • DEAR READERS, to round out today's news, fake and real, here is another story we could not make up but have to believe. It's about the New York Times. Project Veritas reported on October 10 that Nick Dudich, Audience Strategy Editor for New York Times Video, says the Times slants anti-Trump news to the front page. Dudich claims to be the "gatekeeper" for NYT Videos : "My imprint is on every video we do." Project Veritas has releasedits own video of the NYT video gatekeeper Dudich, being caught on a hidden camera boasting of his lack of journalistic ethics. Dudich, who displays a lack of integrity throughout the video, manages videos which go "on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram" for the Times. While talking about being objective at the NYT, Dudich replies candidly, "No I'm not, that's why I'm here." Dudich considers himself an important player at the Times, telling the Project Veritas journalist : "my voice is on...my imprint is on every video we do." Dudich goes on in the video to explain what he might do to target President Trump : "I'd target his businesses, his dumb f**k of a son, Donald Jr., and Eric...Target that. Get people to boycott going to his hotels. Boycott...So a lot of the Trump brands, if you can ruin the Trump brand and you put pressure on his business and you start investigating his business and you start shutting it down, or they're hacking or other things. He cares about his business more than he cares about being President. He would resign. Or he'd lash out and do something incredibly illegal, which he would have to." When the undercover journalist asks Dudich if he could make sure that the anti-Trump stories make it to the front, he replied, "Oh, we always do." • The NYT Ethical Handbook states that the goal of the New York Times is to "cover the news as impartially as possible....Journalists have no place on the playing field of politics. Staff members are entitled to vote, but they must do nothing that might raise questions about their professional neutrality or that of The Times." • Before working at the Times, Dudich worked on the political campaigns of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. In 2016, he says he was recruited to work for the Clinton campaign : "So I have that background, so when Clinton in 2016...they needed a volunteer strategist to do video...well, they needed someone to help them do video, and how to make it heartfelt, for Clinton." Dudich told the undercover journalist that he even had to quit his job in journalism in order to work for the Clinton campaign : "I had to leave my job at Fusion ABC to then take a job at Upworthy where I wasn't deemed a journalist anymore to be able to work for the Clinton campaign." Dudich explains on the video how his activism motivated him to re-engage in the news business : "Like, after the Clinton campaign, I'm like, no I need to get back into news and keep doing sh*t because, like, this isn't going to change." • He also claims that James Comey, former Director of the FBI, asked him to join Antifa : "I joined that stuff for them [the FBI]. I was an asset...So it was intelligence gathering, seeing if they were [sic], what their agenda was, whether they're a threat or not." The journalist asked Dudich how he met Comey. Dudich replied : "He's my godfather. My dad and mom knew him and his wife for a really long time. Well, the Comey hearing, I should have recused myself, but I'm not ever telling anybody there [at the Times] that I have a tie with that or else I don't know if they can keep me on." BUT, Dudich's father claims that the family does not know Comey, adding : "Yeah, he's embellishing. I don't know why he would say that... Yeah, I don't know why...he's not James Comey's godson. I don't even know James Comey." When told that his father said he doesn't know Comey, Dudich changed his story : "He's not my Godfather....[but] it's a good story." • This is perhaps the most shocking story ever to come out of the New York Times -- and the NYT didn't even write it. Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe said : "The fact remains that Nick Dudich lies and he's a gatekeeper at the New York Times. And that fact should be worrisome to the bosses at the paper of record. Who else are they letting spread misinformation in their name? • Whether Nick Dudich is hallucinating, on drugs, or manic is something we do not know. But, that he has a serious job that involves managing content for the New York Times is both frightening and a huge black scar on the face of everyone who hired and/or supervises him at the Times. That he is allowed to smear President Trump by slanting and positioning anti-Trump content upfront is disugusting. It says volumes about why Americans dislike and distrust the mainstream media. Trump's charges of anti-Trump bias and hatred now seem only too accurate. "All the news that's fit to print" seems to have become "All the Fake News we can create." Too bad. It makes old-fashioned "Yellow Journalism" look tame by comparison.
