Saturday Politics : the Munich Attack and Trump's Speech

Our prayers are with Munich and the German people. ~~~~~ Saturday Politics. "America is a nation of believers, dreamers, and strivers that is being led by a group of censors, critics, and cynics" -- Donald Trump's portrait of America in his GOP presidential nominee acceptance speech Thursday. He promised to "restore law and order" and make the US safe from crime and from international terrorism invading America through open borders and the unvetted admission of Syrian and other refugees. Trump combined stating his agenda with denouncing eight years of Democrat leadership, saying : "We cannot afford to be so politically correct anymore. So if you want to hear the corporate spin, the carefully crafted lies and the media myths, the Democrats are holding their convention next week. Go there." Trump's speech was full of quotable phrases. One of the best : "History is watching us now. We don't have much time. But history is watching. It's waiting to see if we will rise to the occasion and if we will show the whole world that America is still free, independent and strong." ~~~~~ Trump must have surprised even his supporters by thanking evangelical Christians, saying : "The support they've given me, and I'm not sure I totally deserve it, has been so amazing and was such a big reason for me being here tonight." But, remembering his earlier promises to bring Christmas celebration back to America, his thank-you fit in perfectly. ~~~~~ "Millions of Democrats will join our movement because we are going to fix the system so it works for all Americans....The irresponsible rhetoric of our President, who has used the pulpit of the presidency to divide us by race and color, has made America a more dangerous environment for everyone....When I am President, I will work to ensure that all our kids are treated equally, and protected equally." Trump also said he will fight for the "forgotten men and women of our country. People who work hard but no longer have a voice. I AM YOUR VOICE !" ~~~~~ Trump hit Obama and Clinton for the mess they've made of America : "We will be a country of generosity and warmth. But we will also be a country of law and order. America is far less safe -- and the world is far less stable -- than when Obama made the decision to put Hillary Clinton in charge of America’s foreign policy. I am certain it is a decision he truly regrets. Her bad instincts and her bad judgment -- something pointed out by Bernie Sanders -- are what caused the disasters unfolding today. In 2009, pre-Hillary, ISIS was not even on the map. Libya was cooperating. Egypt was peaceful. Iraq was seeing a really big, big reduction in violence. Iran was being choked by sanctions. Syria was under control. After four years of Hillary Clinton, what do we have? ISIS has spread across the region, and the entire world. Libya is in ruins, and our ambassador and his staff were left helpless to die at the hands of savage killers. Egypt was turned over to the radical Moslem Brotherhood, forcing the military to retake control. Iraq is in chaos. Iran is on the path to nuclear weapons. Syria is engulfed in a civil war and a refugee crisis that now threatens the West. The legacy of Hillary Clinton is "death, destruction, terrorism and weakness." ~~~~~ Dear readers, the Iran deal is the perfect example of Obama/Clinton incompetence and betrayal of America. Reuters reported Monday that Russia has delivered the missile part of its S-300 surface-to-air defense system to Iran, quoting the Iranian Tasnim news agency as saying delivery of all parts of the system to Teheran will be completed by the end of 2016. Tasnim, close to the Revolutionary Guards, said : "The first shipment of missiles of S-300 missile system...shows Iran's determination to equip its air defense circle with this system." The Russia-Iran S-300 missile deal worries Israel, which Iran says it aims to destroy. President Putin lifted a self-imposed S-300 supply ban in April 2015, when an interim agreement paved the way for the full nuclear deal. ~~~ Trust Trump. He is right.

  1. I feel for all of Germany. But they are getting just what Merkel and friends wanted all the time.

    leadership in most countries today is about corralling up the highly uninformed voters along with more free goodies for the nonproductive citizens and instantly they have the power needed to instituted their one world-one elitists government.

    Look at France, Britain, United States, most of South America, Canada, and of course Germany.

  2. If there is anyone out there reading this fine blog that finds one thing about Hillary or Kaine surprising, for them I have one question …”How has life been living under that old country wooden bridge with all the other Trolls for the past some 25 years?”

    Tim Kaine the straight man for the vaudeville act of “Unable (to tell the truth, ever) & Kaine. Be very suspect in what you hear from this act. They will say everything that “entitlement America” wants to hear – more of everything for free (unless selling your souls really has some intrinsic value to you) all the while Hillary will be achieving her lifelong dream of leading America to slaughter.

    Be afraid friends; be very afraid that the “Unable & Kaine” teams wins in November.

    Just like what the game plan for Trump and Pence should be, I have already started to talk to everyone I know or meet the dangers of Hillary and Tim Kaine. Attack – Attack- and Attack some more.

  3. Since 1789 there has been 11,539 attempts to alter the Constitution via ‘Amendments’, with only 33 passing. That is roughly 0.0025% success rate. There has NEVER been any attempt to amend the preamble to the Constitution which in very pain words lays out in a mere 50 words what the Founders thought the role of a federal government should be in order to last …
    “We the People of the United States in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States.”

    Government must secure the common defense, preserve the public peace, regulate commerce, and conduct foreign affairs. Remember that this election year as we hear the multitudes of various other “needs” that will be forth coming from a regime of Clinton-Kaine.

    Serious attention to common defense, public peace, commerce, and foreign affairs will do wonders for righting the sinking United States of America.

    What has Donald Trump been preaching this whole primary Election campaign -exactly the above 4 subjects!

    And what has Hillary Clinton done on her own as Secretary of State, junior senator from New York, First Lady protecting husband Bill from jail, or even a fleeting Lawyer in Little Rock, AK. She as voted for and supported the cutting of our military and the senior general level military staff, her forte is supporting violent protesters sponsored by her close friend and supporter George Soros . Hillary has continuously supported Obamas fail economic plans and job creation. Her actions in Benghazi speak for her foreign policy ability and concepts.

    So if you think or are being swayed into believing there is NO difference between the Trump-Pence ticket and the Clinton-Kaine ticket, oh do think and investigate again friends.

  4. Alex deTocqueville warned in his book “Democracy In America” that ‘Administrative Centralization’ would destroy liberty in America.

    Today the federal government has 2.79 million employees (excluding the military) and 1300 Agencies upon Agencies in its 3 branches.

    Since Woodrow Wilson the surge of socialism in the federal government has been nonstop. FDR went wild in his effort to turn the United States into a socialistic state preferably with him at the helm.

    An elected Hillary Clinton would make Wilson and Roosevelt look like amateurs. She would run over the Constitution just as she has her entire life after Law School.

    Donald Trump may not be perfect, but he is the best deal in town now.

    Vote for Trump-Pence on November 8, 2016.

  5. I am a hard line Goldwater, William F. Buckley, Ronald Reagan conservative.

    Donald Trump is not a dedicated conservative in my view, and early on in the primary fights he seemed to play with people’s emotions more than tantalize them with plams and policy.

    I don’t for one minute believe trump is the devil that some do, and I don’t think his flamboyant populism is anywhere near as dangerous as Hillary Clinton’s cultured socialism and far left radicalism.

    Populism devoid of principle is a serious problem as mass anger about legitimate problems is channeled toward unhealthy solutions. But after listening to Donald trump at the GOP Convention this past Thursday evening give his acceptance speech – I admit I have belief he can and will govern with a new sense of what is best for American. I believe he will be the best President we have had since Ronald Reagan.

    I also think that under that “showmanship” he demonstrated early on in the primaries there is flicker of a “Constitutional Conservative” simply wanting to be part of the solution that he sees this country falling apart over.

There is a powerful coalition across the United States that is energized towards and focused on winning local elections and bringing power back to the people that will hopefully give rise to a conservative recovery that will give a future of freedom and liberty to the next generation. Without such resurgence, we will lose our country. We’ll lose it to radicals on the Left or the Right. Either way, our great nation will be lost, remembered only as a blip on the timeline of history, lost because our leaders at the ending years were sunshine patriots instead of lovers of liberty, summer soldiers instead of sons of morning who bear the light of civilization.
