Saturday : Our Profound Sympathy to France and the French People

Saturday Politics is on hold this week as we express our deepest sympathy to the families and loved ones of the 84 people killed in Nice last night. The jihadist terrorist struck on The 14th of July, France's Independence Day, and we express our solidarity with France and the French people. May we all find comfort in the words of Psalm 121. You can read it below in English and French. ~~~~~ Psalm 121 (King James Version). 1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. ~~~~~~~~~~ Psaumes 121 (Louis Segond French Version of the Bible). 1 Cantique des degrés.  

  1. In her new book titled “It’s Dangerous to Believe” Mary Eberstad raises a pertinent question that the progressives’ need to learn to live with the religious believers or risk being the root cause of totalitarianism overtakes us all.

Maybe the camps that make up this world right now are divided into 3 … Believers, Non-believers, and Islam. And like it or not Non-believers and Islam are more Intune than believers and anyone else.

For the moment France is suffering the quandary more than any other country. But no matter where believing Christians are found there are those planning their demise and that includes progressives like Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama. They lend credence to all causes that secure their ‘elitism internationalism’ of one world, one government, no God.

  2. There was an Italian journalist named Oriana Fallacil would not be shocked at all by what is going on in the world today. She spent the last few years of her life warning Europe (mostly) about the rise of Islam.

Because few ever really listened to her or others that have spent their life warning us of what was at hand we have today experienced Brussels, Paris, London, Madrid, Nice, and just yesterday a military coup that most likely place Turkey solidly in the terrorists/ISIS column.

And the elitist just keep playing dominos and increasing their personal wealth many times over by creating turmoil in countries.

Sorry, France, Europe, and the West – but, we just keep compounding our mistakes in leadership selection.

  3. Yesterday’s (Friday, July 15, 2016) attempted military takeover of the predominate majority Muslim country of Turkey may be over and the soldiers involved may have lost their bid (and some their lives) to oust President Erdogan and his Islamist government, but the violence will continue, but shifted from violence perpetrated by the soldiers to violence perpetrated against them as forces loyal to Erdogan Islamist regime now gather to retaliate.

France may not be so lucky to have such identifiable sides. France will continue to suffer the wrath of violence cast upon them for treatment by the French during the colonial days of nation building by the French in the Middle East.

But the fact is the Islamic terrorist will find and believe any illogical excuse to continue their Orlando, Dallas, Paris, Nice, etc. murderous spree.

A drunk drinks only because they don’t understand the value in being sober. A mass murderer kills only because he doesn’t understand the value of life or the social taboo in taking someone(s) life.

  4. As someone that grew up watching the continuous failing Foreign Policy edict … “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” mentality (except for the Reagan years) thru the 9/11 generation of foreign policy expert (those that had passports thought they had the answers), I see these incidents and attacks dating back to the Munich Olympics Games and have an understanding that this is the world we're now in. We face a global jihadist enemy, an insurgency that is all over the world, including here at home.

I don’t ever see us using the force that would take out these marauders of death and destruction, or at least drive them underground for many decades to come. Unless – they strike someplace in the free world with nuclear (small or large) weapons and some responsible leader retaliates likewise.

After all the United States had less reason to use Nukes on Japan, than what we did following 9/11 – and yet we didn’t then.

  5. Marine Le Pen, head of the anti-immigrant National Front, disparaged the French government’s efforts against terrorism. … “The war against the scourge of fundamentalism hasn’t started, it must now be declared,” she said in a statement.

There is an continuous ongoing debate about the inherent problems with radical Islam, and about the dire need to integrate/assimilate the large numbers off middle Eastern/African refuges into the European states. And certainly this most recent attack on European soil must make this asinine policy of taking in more potential murderers under the present lack, erroneous immigration policies across the EU.

This is an enemy that can scarcely be fought, and that can hide practically anywhere within a community.

Our hearts go out to France and the strong willed citizens.
