Syria Hits Turkey, Pakistan Votes, Texan Arrested for Bomb Materials

Dear readers, let's cover several key news items making headlines this Saturday : 1. Three explosions - car bombs - rocked the Turkish town of Reyhanli, near the Syrian border, killing 40. The Turkish government has preliminarily blamed the al-Assad regime. If this is the work of al-Assad groups, and it is hard to imagine anyone else except possibly terrorist units imbedded in the rebel Free Syria Army, it is a very negative answer to the US-Russian conference initiative, as weak and unlikely to produce results as the conference may be. More ominous, it could mean that al-Assad is taking his pursuit of Syrian rebels into Turkey. There have been Turkish deaths in several recent Turkey-Syria border attacks attributed to al-Assad forces. And if al-Assad is targeting Turkey border areas, will he also attack the Lebanon and, more likely, the Jordan border areas sheltering hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees? 2. The Pakistani national parliamentary elections were held today. Results will come later. But the real news is that the out-going government was the first in Pakistan's post-1947 history to serve a full term without a military coup or other premature termination. And it hasn't been easy. One former prime minister's candidate son has been kidnapped. Imram Khan, the great cricketeer who has formed a centrist party, ended up in intensive care after falling off a speaker platform but continued to campaign from his hospital bed. And ordinary Pakistanis were threatened with death and injury by the Taliban if they attempted to vote. One man ready to vote said the Pakistani people had had enough, were no longer afraid, and wanted to make their country a real democracy of the people. Let's pray and encourage them. 3. An American safety volunteer has been arrested in West, the Texas town where a fertilizer plant explosion killed 14 and injured 200, flattening homes and businesses for blocks around the plant - significantly, in the same 24 hours that saw the Boston Marathon terrorist bombing. The man was arrested for possessing materials that are the commonly used components of bombs. There have been questions from the beginning about whether the plant explosion was a terrorist attack. So far, police and FBI investigations have found no evidence that suggests anything but an accident. And last night they were very careful to say that the arrest was "not related" to the plant explosion. Something to follow.

The resurgence of the terrorists is alarming distending to me. we have been told by Obama, Mrs. Clinton, past and present Defense Secretaries, and the current Secretary of State that we have silenced the terrorists at many levels in many countries and are moving in the direction of disabling their ability to carry out future attacks.

We have again been mislead by the Obama Administration.

Doers anyone really believe that the "fertilizer plant explosion" in Texas was a simple accident. I for one never did. And this arrest further assures me that we have once again be deceived and lied to by Obama.

Obama is no different than any other relationship one has that goes "sour" form lies and deception. Once that happens ones ability to recover and be believed again is a long road back... not just the next weeks incident that the deceiver has involvement in and voices their opinion. It all seems to be fictitious.

TRUTH readers is a fragile thing that once broken may never be fully recovered.

  2. These 3 hot spots are son different and unique ...yet so much alike in the impact that has been caused by the ineptitude of the Obama administration and he himself.

Except for the Jimmy carter presidency I can not in my life time remember a president that is so incompetent and unable to make things happen. jimmy carter at least got the Mod-East accords accomplished. What in the world has Obama actually accomplished in the realm of Foreign Affairs.

He is son in over his head in world affairs and affairs of state that it is embarrassing to admit he's the best that we have to offer the world.

Assad is caught in a Civil War yet can muster the troops to hit Turkey and have various other mid-east nations concerned as to what he'll do next.

In Pakistan we have a deeply divided nation on religious lines and politicians that tolerate the US for our Foreign Aid dollars that Obama keeps passing to them as they become stronger alined with the terrorist.

And lastly a president at home that refuses to admit that the terrorist are among us in strong numbers and are testing our will and desire to refute them in our own country.

2016 can not get here soon enough for me.

When President Obama talks about the need for the International Community to be as one and with one plan of action he is only further making a fool of himself. The forces that the Us has to deal with in Syria is Hezbollah, Russia and finally Iran.

we have to deal with the 3 countries and Assad in Syria for really just one reason ... I S R A E L.

I think if the possible extermination of Israel was not in the picture all the ramblings and stupidity that Obama has shown over Syria in the last 3 years would be would be just another chapter in the Follies of Foreign Policy written, edited, explained, and then reexplained again and again by Obama himself.

But we are talking about the life of Israel. Israel has a great batting average when they taken on their arch enemies in the past. But now we may be talking about Iran having nuclear weapons, Hezbollah having gas/germ warfare, and the
Russians money, supplies, and veto in the UN Security Council.

Israel can not go it alone in this next round ... and there will be a next round mark my word on that. The sound of war is certainly being heard in the Middle East ... the Us is not listening though.

"WAR IS THE FARTHER OF US ALL, KING OF ALL. SOME IT MAKES GODS, SOME IT MAKES MEN, SOME IT MAKES SLAVES, SOME FREE".

And this is exactly what the war in Syria will do

Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things.

I would prefer that my president did both simultaneously. But it seems that this president (Obama) can not do either at anything.

How sad and disappointing that we citizens were so taken by his empty promises and hollow words.

So many people are suffering because he can neither manage or lead.

What we have here in Syria, all the middle east, Benghazi, Pakistan,Russia double dealing at best, the Obama administration, the manipulation of money and markets is ... FAILURE TO CALL A SPADE A SPADE.

We all know whats going or has gone on. We know that the world leadership is currently a bunch of incompetent, irresponsible leaders. If they weren't then there would be some improvement in various economic situations, worldwide unemployment, terrorism after almost 6 years of Obama type of leadership ... which right now is not unique to the US.

These problems although complex have solutions that if enacted we would be seeing some improvement by now. This global crisis started in 2008. It's 2013 and we are still for the most part going down. Economic indicators have been so "tweaked" here in the US that the numbers that are released are useless because they are not factual.

If it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, looks like a duck we common everyday people would be quick to assume its a duck. So why can't our leaders?
