President Trump Will Secure the US Southern Border, with or without Help from Congress

THE REAL NEWS TODAY IS THAT PRESIDENT TRUMP WILL PROTECT THE BORDERS. With or without help from Congress. • • • USING THE MILITARY. The media is reporting that the US military will be deployed to the US-Mexico border to prevent a caravan of thousands from entering the United States. On Tuesday, President Trump told reporters : “We are going to be guarding our border with our military. That’s a big step. We cannot have people flowing into our country illegally, disappearing, and by the way never showing up for court.” • The caravan is made up mostly of Hondurans led by the extreme-left political outreach group Pueblo sin Fronteras, or “Peoples Without Borders,” who vow “to provide shelter and safety to migrants and refugees in transit, accompany them in their journey, and together demand respect for our human rights.” The group released a list of demands on Monday for the US and Mexican governments to adhere to, which include that the US “open the borders to us because we are as much citizens as the people of the countries where we are and/or travel.” • • • TRUMP DETERMINED TO PROTECT SOUTHERN BORDER. Hours before his announcement, Trump warned in a tweet that Congress must act to legislate laws that strengthen the US border with Mexico : “The big Caravan of People from Honduras, now coming across Mexico and heading to our ‘Weak Laws’ Border, had better be stopped before it gets there. Cash cow NAFTA is in play, as is foreign aid to Honduras and the countries that allow this to happen. Congress MUST ACT NOW!” • An indication of the President's frustration, anger and determination isseen in his tweets this week : "“Caravans are heading here. Must pass tough laws and build the WALL....As ridiculous as it sounds, the laws of our country do not easily allow us to send those crossing our Southern Border back where they came from. A whole big wasted procedure must take place. Mexico & Canada have tough immigration laws, whereas ours are an Obama joke”....Honduras, Mexico and many other countries that the US is very generous to, sends many of their people to our country through our WEAK IMMIGRATION POLICIES. Caravans are heading here. Must pass tough laws and build the WALL. Democrats allow open borders, drugs and crime!.... Mexico is making a fortune on NAFTA...They have very strong border laws - ours are pathetic. With all of the money they make from the US, hopefully they will stop people from coming through their country and into ours, at least until Congress changes our immigration laws!....Congress must immediately pass Border Legislation, use Nuclear Option if necessary, to stop the massive inflow of Drugs and People. Border Patrol Agents (and ICE) are GREAT, but the weak Dem laws don’t allow them to do their job. Act now Congress, our country is being stolen!....Mexico has the absolute power not to let these large 'Caravans' of people enter their country. They must stop them at their Northern Border, which they can do because their border laws work, not allow them to pass through into our country, which has no effective border laws....Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the US. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!....Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Getting more dangerous. “Caravans” coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL!" • The President's tweets had between 80,000 and 125,000 reads, and between 31,000 and 78,000 comments. He has America's attention, despite all ProgDem efforts to ridicule his concern for the integrity of US territory. • • • AG JEFF SESSIONS IS HELPING TRUMP. Breitbart's Neil Munro reported on Tuesday that : "Attorney General Jeff Sessions is directing immigration judges to process more cases in less time, as part of a larger reform to end 'catch and release' and shrink the growing backlog of 600,000-plus cases in the immigration courts.' According to the Wall Street Journal, the new rules say : "...judges will be required to complete 700 cases a year and to see fewer than 15% of their decisions sent back by a higher court. Over the past five years, the average judge completed 678 cases in a year, said Justice Department spokesman Devin O’Malley. But there was a range, he said, with some judges completing as many as 1,500 cases in a year. In addition, they will be required to meet other metrics, depending on their particular workload. One standard demands that 85% of removal cases for people who are detained be completed within three days of a hearing on the merits of the case. Another metric demands that 95% of all merits hearings be completed on the initial scheduled hearing date." • The new DOJ rules are intended “to encourage efficient and effective case management while preserving immigration judge discretion and due process,” said a Friday email from James McHenry, who is the director of the office which oversees the DOJ’s judges. • The new rules are part of an effort by Sessions to reform the immigration courts, which are part of his agency. For example, Sessions is hiring more than 100 extra immigration judges in 2017 and 2018. Sessions has directed the roughly 350 immigration judges to focus their time resolving the newest cases, rather than the oldest cases in the backlog. • Sessions is also rewriting prior immigration-court precedents decisions which slow adjudication. On March 5, Sessions formally vacated a 2014 immigration-court decision, titled “Matter of E-F-H-L,” and told the 350 immigration-court judges that they could rely on submitted written evidence to avoid full hearings in some deportation cases. In January, Sessions undertook a review of a case titled “Matter of Castro-Tum” which will allow Sessions to approve or end the practice of “administrative closure,” in which judges officially forget about enforcing deportation orders and so effectively grant illegals the right to reside in the United States. Roughly 350,000 illegals have benefitted from this “administrative closure” policy, including roughly 175,000 migrants during Obama’s watch. • These DOJ reforms may eventually help solve the “catch and release” problem, much of which is caused by the agencies’ failure to process asylum claims within 20 days. Under current legal procedures, asylum seekers have to be released from detention if their cases cannot be heard in 20 days. The slow court system means that many new migrants know they will be released once they are caught, allowing them to migrate northwards in search of jobs. • Sessions’ actions also may help offset the impact -- not often mentioned -- of Congress’ support for cheap-labor immigration. This congressional support blocked President Donald Trump’s reforms in February and cut most of his funding priorities from the 2018 omnibus in March. The refusal of Congress to reform border laws, to fund the border wall, or trim legal immigration, floods the labor market. That flood of cheap labor reduces Americans’ wages and reduces corporate investment in labor-saving machinery. • As we would expect, immigration lawyers and advocates are aghast at Sessions’ pro-American reforms. Here are some tweets attacking the PResident's effort to secure US borders : "I cannot stress enough the threat that Jeff Sessions -- PERSONALLY -- poses to immigrants, asylum seekers and due process in America today." // "By certifying cases to himself he has the power to unilaterally write the rules that will shortcut protections for years to come." // "Sessions' quiet personal anti immigrant vendetta via certifying appeals to himself is going to do a lot of long term damage and only immigration attorneys are noticing because it's pretty arcane and there's so many other ongoing shenanigans." • Of course, immigration lawyers derided the new rules, even though the faster process might resolve their clients’ cases in less time and at less cost. Greg Siskind, an immigration lawyer, called it “Conveyer belt justice.” Read that -- we will lose a lot of our fees. • But, Attorney General Sessions is constitutionally right. Illegals have no right to "due process" or the full extent of legal protections guaranteed to US citizens. They are in the US illegally and subject to expulsion. • • • WHY IS TRUMP SO ANGRY AND DETERMINED? Breitbart reported on Monday that : "Since the beginning of Fiscal Year 2018, there have been more than 13,000 Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) released and resettled across the United States. A new report by the Administration for Children and Families reveals that in February 2018, nearly 3,000 UACs have been resettled in the US, while more than 2,600 unaccompanied minors were resettled the month before. Likewise, since the beginning of Fiscal Year 2018, about 13,186 unaccompanied minors have been resettled across the country. California, Florida, New York, and Texas have taken the most unaccompanied minors -- about 45% this Fiscal Year." • In a statement to the media, President Trump’s administration explained how unaccompanied minors are resettled in the US after they cross the border : “US law currently requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to transfer unaccompanied aliens from Central America, age 17 and under, who are apprehended at US borders to the care and custody of ACF’s Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), where they may eventually be released to a sponsor in the United States. Unfortunately, many violent gangs, including MS-13, are exploiting loopholes in US laws to bring gang members into the United States or to recruit UAC once they are placed with a sponsor. Human smuggling organizations are also abusing US laws in order to bring children in the United States. That is why ORR joins the President in calling for Congress to close dangerous loopholes in US law.” • During a conference call, senior administration officials said their “hands are tied” when it comes to current US immigration law, which prevents the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency from deporting all border-crossers once they are arrested. A senior administration official said : “We do release a lot of people, basically because our hands are tied.” The Trump administration has repeatedly asked Congress for fixes, but Congress has refused to fix the problem, the official said. • While US Customs and Border Protection announced that illegal crossings along the southwest border with Mexico dropped 40% during the month of February, up to 80% of people who claim a “credible fear” of persecution are being allowed into the US to apply for asylum, the official said. Once inside the US, many border-crossers disappear to quietly work and avoid court appearances, he said. Democrats “have relentlessly opposed closing the TVPRA loophole, the Flores loophole, the asylum loophole, the inadmissibility loophole,” a second senior official said. “This is the policy decision that we can continue an unending illegal immigration in the future, presumably to create new DACA classes.” • The increased number of unaccompanied minors being resettled across the US has coincided with the rise of the violent, El Salvadorian MS-13 gang, specifically in regions in Long Island, New York. For example, before Easter, ICE officials announced that nearly 100 MS-13 gang members arrested in a recent sting were resettled across the US as unaccompanied minors, according to a Breitbart News report. Under Trump’s administration, the UAC program has continued. For example, in Fiscal Year 2018 thus far, nearly 200 unaccompanied minors have been resettled in Suffolk County, along with almost 280 in Queens County, and more than 115 in Nassau County, despite the regions’ issues with the MS-13 gang. In Florida, Miami-Dade County is also struggling with a massive illegal alien population and has had to take in nearly 400 unaccompanied minors thus far in Fiscal Year 2018. And, Palm Beach County has had more than 330 unaccompanied minors resettled in the region. • • • A BORDER PATROL AGENT TALKS TO BREITBART. On Tuesday, Breitbart repporter Bob Price talked to Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector of Texas, who continue to be overwhelmed by the numbers of illegal border crossers, they say. The sector continues to lead the nation in Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC), Family Unit Aliens (FMUA), and total apprehensions. Border Patrol Agent Chris Cabrera, told Price : “A wall for this sector is necessary and needs to happen now." Cabrera spoke to Breitbart Texas in his capacity as vice president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 3307. “Walls will take time to build but there are things we need to do now, in the interim, to improve border security in this sector. We are seeing huge numbers this year,” Agent Cabrera stated. “The numbers in February were much higher than the same month in the previous two years.” • In February, agents in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Sector apprehended 9,603 illegal immigrants, according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from US Customs and Border Protection sources. These arrests include the apprehension of 1,387 unaccompanied minors and 3,222 partial families. During the first six months of this fiscal year (which began on October 1, 2017), CBP reports indicate that RGV Sector agents apprehended more than 52,000 illegal immigrants. Of those, agents arrested more than 7,000 UACs and at least 20,000 FMUAs. Cabrera said : “We have the buildings to handle the influx of these people, but we don’t have the manpower. The influx is causing agents to be taken off the front line to assist with processing the families and unaccompanied minors. This leads to gaps in security and not enough agents to back each other up in the field.” Cabrera outlined the consequences for Breitbart : “This leads to lawsuits against the agency for overcrowding and not being able to meet court-imposed processing deadlines. It also creates an agent safety issue when we don’t have enough agents on the line to provide backup.” • In addition, Border Patrol agents are frequently assaulted while on duty, Breitbart Texas reported. During the first six months of Fiscal Year 2018, CBP indicated that illegal aliens assaulted more than 230 agents. Cabrera said there is not enough court capacity in the RGV Sector to provide timely hearings for migrants in detention. Cabrera said : “President Trump hired a lot of new immigration judges. But, we are not seeing enough of them assigned to this sector to make a difference.” Cabrera added that the overwhelming numbers of migrants crossing the border and the lack of manpower, infrastructure support, and technology also lead to safety issues for the migrants themselves : “We are seeing a lot of deaths this year. Most of them have occurred in Brooks County, but we have also recovered drowning victims in or near the [Rio Grande].” Brooks County is located about 80 miles north of the Texas-Mexico Border. Breitbart reports that : "Nearly 20 migrants died this calendar year in the RGV Sector -- the largest number in the nation. Of those, Border Patrol agents and Brooks County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered at least 14." • Cabrera said most of the migrants arrested after crossing the border from Mexico come from Central America. CBP statistics show that Guatemala heads up the list this fiscal year with 8,814 UACs and 16,421 FMUAs. This is followed by migrants from Honduras, Mexico, and El Salvador. Cabrera said they also see large numbers of Chinese nationals apprehended along the border and at inland checkpoints. • • • MEXICO FINALLY MAY HAVE GOTTEN TRUMP'S MESSAGE -- FOR THE WRONG REASON. Breitbart's Neil Munro reported on Monday that : "Mexico’s government is reportedly shutting down the migrant 'caravan' before it reaches the US border and creates a huge public groundswell for President Donald Trump’s pro-American immigration policies. News of the pending shutdown was broadcast late April 2 by the BuzzFeed reporter following the group of 1,500 Central American migrants on their northward march through Mexico. The reporter; Adolfo Flores, tweeted : "Mexican immigration authorities said they plan on disbanding the Central American caravan by Wednesday in Oaxaca. The most vulnerable will get humanitarian visas.... Everyone else in the caravan, which has traveled through Mexico for days from Chiapas, will have to petition the Mexican government for permission to stay in the country or will have to leave." • The apparent Mexican government caravan shutdown is good news for Democrats who are trying to keep the immigration issue out of the news prior to the 2018 election. It is also good news for GOP establishment leaders, who are trying to keep their 2018 majority by touting the tax cut while also downplaying the economic impact of cheap-labor immigration. • The claimed shutdown came after President Donald Trump and his White House deputies spent the day spotlighting the issue, and also blaming Democrats for refusing the close the legal loopholes on the border. • • • DEAR READERS, Mexico is acting in order to undercut President Trump's efforts ot secure the southern US border. ProgDems are hyping the Mexican move because they want to use immigration -- in the form of touting DACA while doing zilch to actually protect those covered by DACA -- as a campaign tool in the mid-term elections. Neither Mexico nor the ProgDems are interested in slowing the influx of illegal immigrants into the US. For Mexico, illegal immigration into the US means relief from their costly and sometimes dangerous presence in Mexico. For ProgDems, the influx means the opportunity to grant illegals a drivers license as the key to illegally registering to vote for Democrats. It is all very NEATLY ORGANIZED. Preisdent Trump was right when he tweeted : "Honduras, Mexico and many other countries that the US is very generous to, send many of their people to our country through our WEAK IMMIGRATION POLICIES....Democrats allow open borders, drugs and crime!" • AND, in a routine Progressive defense ploy, JO Rodríguez, a federal delegate with INM, told Breitbart that MExico's halt of the caravan heading tot he US border was not in response to Trump speaking out against the caravan : “Mexico is acting without pressure to find a solution to this problem.” RIGHT!!! • But, the march of 1,500 illegals is only a tiny slice of the total number of legal immigrants who arrive in the United States. Each year the federal government accepts roughly 1.1 million legal immigrants, which is roughly one legal immigrant for every four Americans who turn 18. • It is time to support President Trump -- to vote-kick out of Congress every ProgDem who expresses sympathy for taking into the US any illegal immigrants -- and to elect to Congress and state and local offices only those who express their firm support for securing US borders and ridding America of illegal immigrants. President Trump is leading. It is now our turn to follow his lead.

The March of Return and the Mexican Caravan -- Do They Both bear the Fingerprints of Obama and Soros?

THE REAL NEWS TODAY IS ALL ABOUT BORDERS. Here, there, and everywhere. • • • IS IT A CONCIDENCE THAT US AND ISRAELI BORDERS ARE BEING ATTACKED AT THE SAME TIME ? Breitbart reported on Sunday that the United States blocked on Saturday the UN Security Council from issuing a resolution expressing “grave concern” over Israel’s handling of Hamas-planned riots along the border with Gaza and calling for an “independent and transparent investigation” into the violence. The draft statement, presented by Kuwait, expressed “the right to peaceful protest” and the council’s “sorrow at the loss of innocent Palestinian lives.” It also called “for respect for international human rights law and international humanitarian law, including protection of civilians,” according to a copy of the draft seen by AFP. Both Israel and the Palestinians were called upon to “exercise restraint and prevent a further escalation,” the draft said. It also called on the sides to work towards peace based on the two-state solution. • The Palestinian Authority on Saturday charged the US and Britain with preventing Arab efforts to issue a Security Council resolution condemning Israel for the 16 Palestinians killed during the clashes. PA spokesman Yusef al Mahmoud said their refusal meant the US and Britain were “accomplices in the horrific massacre committed by the Israeli occupation army against our defenseless people.” Yusef al Mahmoud added that Washington and London showed “bias in favor of oppression and suppression.” He also claimed that the protests were “peaceful marches and demonstrations” commemorating Land Day, saying Israel was “directly responsible for this dreadful massacre, which resulted in 16 martyrs and hundreds of wounded.” Another spokesman for PA President Mahmoud Abbas, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said the US was “providing a cover for Israel to continue its aggression against the Palestinian people.” The US and its envoy Nikki Haley, he said, “encourages Israel to defy UN resolutions aimed at ending its occupation.” Hamas said the US “encouraged Israel to commit more violence and terrorism against Palestinian civilians.” • The Security Council summoned a closed meeting on Friday night to discuss the situation, ignoring a request from the US and Israel to postpone the meeting until Saturday because of Passover. The following day, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for “those concerned to refrain from any act that could lead to further casualties.” He also said there should be an independent and transparent investigation into the deaths and injuries during Friday’s clashes. • Israel's Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman dismissed the idea of cooperation in any investigation, saying the calls for a probe were “hypocritical.” Liberman told Israel's army radio : “There will be no commission of inquiry. There will be no such thing here. We shall not cooperate with any commission of inquiry.” He added that the protests were not a “Woodstock festival.” At least 10 of the 16 Palestinians killed were identified as members of terror groups, the IDF said Saturday. The Israeli army published a list of the terrorists along with their positions in various terror groups -- with eight of them coming from Hamas. The riots saw rocks and Molotov cocktails hurled at Israeli soldiers along the border from a crowd of some 30,000 Gazans attempting to storm the fence. There was an instance of live fire as one rioter shot at IDF troops. The “March of the Return” was initially publicized as a “non-violent” protest that organizers promised would take place a half-mile away from the border fence, with no attempts to breach it. The IDF responded mainly with tear gas and rubber bullets, and only rioters who explicitly used violence against troops or who were seen damaging or breaching the security fence were targeted with live fire, the army stated. Some of the terrorists who were killed were said to have attempted to place bombs along the security fence. Friday’s “day of rage” coincided with both Passover eve and Palestinian Land Day, which marks events in 1976 that reflect the Palestinians’ struggle to own the land. The protest is supposed to continue until May 15’s Nakba Day -- the day of “catastrophe” that marks the establishment of the State of Israel. • • • A MARCH TO DESTROY ISRAEL. That is what Gatestone Institute's Bassam Tawil called it in his long piece publiched on Monday. Taxil's entire article can be accessed at < https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/12113/palestinians-gaza-march >. You can google Gatestone Institute and find many of Tawil's articles on the Palestinians and Israel.• Bassam Tawil, a Palestinian scholar identified discretely -- and seemingly for his safety -- as living “somewhere in the Middle East,” writes : "Based on statements made by Hamas leaders, the 'March of Return' campaign is not about improving the living conditions of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Nor is it about finding ways to solve the 'humanitarian' and 'economic' crises in the Gaza Strip. The mass protests are aimed at forcing Israel to accept millions of Palestinian 'refugees' as a first step towards turning Jews into a minority in their own country. The next step would be to kill or expel the Jews and replace Israel with an Islamic state. Did they expect the Israeli soldiers to greet them with flowers?" Bassam Tawil says : "The Palestinian 'March of Return' is being mistakenly referred to by some journalists and political analysts as a 'peaceful and popular' drive by Palestinians demanding freedom and better living conditions. Palestinians' living conditions in the Gaza Strip could be improved if the Egyptians only opened the Rafah border crossing and allowed Palestinians to leave and allowed Arabs and others to come and help the people there. Their lives could be improved if Hamas stopped building terror tunnels and smuggling weapons. • The "March of Return" was an attempt on March 30 by tens of thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to infiltrate the border with Israel and launch a six-week campaign of mass protests organized by Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other radical Palestinian groups. Tawil states that : "The groups encouraged Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to head to the areas adjacent to the border with Israel. The protesters were also encouraged to try to infiltrate the border, thus putting their lives at risk. Hamas and its allies told the protesters that the 'March of Return' marked the beginning of the 'liberation of all of Palestine, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River.' In other words, the Palestinians were told that infiltrating the border with Israel would be the first step toward destroying Israel. Hamas leaders Ismail Haniyeh and Yehya Sinwar, who joined the March 30 mass protests along the border with Israel, did not hide the real goal behind the 'March of Return' -- to destroy Israel and thwart US President Donald Trump's yet-to-be-announced plan for peace in the Middle East. The two Hamas leaders told the protesters that the March 30 demonstrations marked the beginning of a 'new phase in the Palestinians' national struggle on the road to liberating all of Palestine, from the river to the sea.' Haniyeh and Sinwar also made it clear that the 'March of Return' had another goal : to foil any attempt by the Arabs to make peace or normalize their relations with Israel. Hamas and its allies did not send the protesters to the border with Israel to demand jobs and medicine. They did not encourage Palestinians to risk their lives at the border with Israel because of the lack of electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip. Instead, the organizers sent the Palestinians to the border after assuring them that this was the only way to flood Israel with hundreds of thousands of Palestinian 'refugees' as part of the 'right of return.' " • The "right of return" refers to the Palestinian demand that Israel allow Palestinian "refugees" and their descendants to move to Israel. Zaher Birawi, one of the organizers of the 'March of Return' explained it this way : "The right of return is sacred and a red line not to be crossed. The Palestinians will do their utmost to achieve this right." Bassam Tawil says Zaher Birawi's words, together with those of the two Hamas leaders, "prove that the mass protests are aimed at forcing Israel to accept millions of Palestinian 'refugees' as a first step towards turning Jews into a minority in their own country. The next step would be to kill or expel the Jews and replace Israel with an Islamic state. Crucial here is the fact that what we witnessed along the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel on March 30 was not a protest by poverty-stricken and miserable Palestinians against a blockade of any kind. If that were so, why didn't the organizers ask Palestinians to march toward the border with Egypt? The real blockade on the Gaza Strip is being imposed by Egypt, and not Israel." Tawil makes his point : "In 2017, the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip was open altogether for less than 30 days; by contrast, the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip was open for more than 280 days during the same year. Israel enforces a naval blockade on the Gaza Strip that is meant to prevent Iran, Hezbollah and other terror parties from smuggling weapons into the coastal enclave controlled by Hamas. At the same time, Israel has kept its border crossings with Gaza for the movement of goods and individuals. Israel permits Palestinians to enter and leave the Gaza Strip through the Erez border crossing. Last month, the Palestinian Authority Prime Minister entered the Gaza Strip through the Erez border crossing, only to have his convoy targeted by a roadside bomb once inside Hamas-controlled Gaza. Israel also allows foreigners to enter the Gaza Strip through the same border crossing. They include journalists, diplomats, and hundreds of foreigners working for various international aid agencies, including the United Nations." BUT, states Tawil : "All this while the Rafah border crossing with Egypt remains closed. Since the beginning of this year, the Egyptians opened the border crossing intermittently only for two or three days each time. Egypt also continues to bar foreigners from entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah terminal. Even Arabs who want to help the people of the Gaza Strip are forced to enter through the Erez border crossing because the Egyptians do not give them permission to use the Rafah terminal." • Bassam Tawil asks a logical question : "Why aren't the Palestinian protests directed against Egypt? The answer is obvious. The Palestinians know that messing with the Egyptian army will cost them a heavy price. If Israel used snipers to stop the March 30 protesters from crossing the border, the Egyptian response would undoubtedly have been much tougher. The Egyptians would have used artillery and warplanes against the Palestinian demonstrators. The Palestinians are well aware that the Egyptian army would raze the entire Gaza Strip if the Palestinians breached the border and undermined Egypt's national security. Besides, the 'March of Return' is intended as part of the Palestinian national struggle against the "Zionist entity" -- Israel -- and has nothing to do with the closure of any border. It is part of the Palestinian jihad to eliminate Israel, which they see as a 'colonialist project' imposed on the Arabs by Western powers after World War II. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, in a rare moment of honesty, admitted earlier this year that this is precisely how Palestinians and Arabs perceive Israel." • Turning the the PA rejection of and Trump peace plan, Bassam Tawil qrites : "The Palestinians have proclaimed a wholesale rejection of Trump's plan because they know it will not advance their goal of turning Jews into a minority in their own country. Trump's plan, they believe, does not recognize the Palestinian 'right of return,' which means that 'refugees' and their descendants will not be allowed to move into Israel, turning it into an Arab-majority state." The "March of Return," says Tawil, is intended to send a message to President Trump and the US that the Palestinians will not accept any peace plan that does not include turning Israel into an Arab state, and to send asecond message to Arab states that they must not cooperate with or accept any Trump peace initiative. • • • PALESTINIANS WERE KILLED ON MARCH 30. The leaders of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the other groups that organized the mass protests are now complaining about the high death toll and accusing Israel of opening fire at "unarmed and peaceful" protesters. These are the same leaders who urged their people to head to the border with Israel and to try to force their way into Israel. These are the same leaders who encouraged their people to damage the security fence along the border with Israel. • As for PA president Mahmoud Abbas, his comments simply gave yet more proof of his unending hypocrisy. Hours after the violent confrontations along the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel, Abbas appeared on Palestine TV to hold Israel "fully responsible" for the violence and death and injury of the protesters. This is the same Abbas who recently called Hamas the terror group that was behind the March 13 botched assassination attempt on his prime minister. This is the same Abbas who last year imposed sanctions on the Gaza Strip by suspending payments for electricity supplied to the Gaza Strip by Israel and suspending payments to thousands of civil servants there. Instead of condemning Hamas for sending the Palestinians to clash with the Israeli army and endanger their lives, Abbas chose to denounce Israel for protecting its border. • The Palestinian "March of Return" is not, as some journalists and political analysts call it, a "peaceful and popular" drive by Palestinians demanding freedom and better living conditions. Palestinians' living conditions in the Gaza Strip could be improved if their fellow Arabs, the Egyptians, would open the Rafah border crossing and let Palestinians leave and allow Arabs and others to come and help the people there. Their lives could be improved if Hamas stopped building terror tunnels and smuggling weapons. In reality, the "March of Return" is nothing less than a declaration of war on Israel and the Trump administration. • • • WHY ARE THE MARCHES ON THE ISRAELI AND US BORDERS HAPPENING AT THE SAME TIME? Fox News reported on Sunday that President Trump declared the deal for the Obama-era DACA program was “NO MORE” and called for "tough" immigration reform after a report stated a caravan carrying more than 1,000 people from Central America is traveling through Mexico and to the United States in hopes of entering the states illegally or by asking for asylum. President Trump, who has vowed to end the Obama-created catch and release system, tweeted Sunday morning that Republicans need to take the "nuclear option" when passing tougher immigration laws. The President had given Congress six months to pass legislation legalizing Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA), which protects about 800,000 young immigrants brought to country illegally as children from deportation. But, the President is losing his patience. On Sunday, he tweeted : "“Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Getting more dangerous. 'Caravans' coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL!” • The caravan the President was referring to was first reported by BuzzFeed News last Friday. Organized by Pueblos Sin Fronteras, or People Without Borders, the caravan traveled through Mexico without authorization last week, according to BuzzFeed. Officials in Mexico have not attempted to stop the migrants, about 80% of them from Honduras. The group’s intent is to provide those people a safe way to travel to the US. • National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) union chief Brandon Judd told “Fox & Friends” on Sunday that the migrants are riding on the benefit of catch and release, when illegal immigrants are detained in the US and released while they await for their court hearings. President Trump also threatened to pull out of the free trade agreement with Mexico unless the country did more to stop the flow of illegal immigrants entering the US. The US, Canada, and Mexico are currently renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement at Trump's insistence. The President tweeted : “Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!....These big flows of people are all trying to take advantage of DACA. They want in on the act!” Before going to church on Easter, President Trump told reporters : "Mexico has got to help us at the border. If they're not going to help us at the border, it's a very sad thing between our two countries." • March organizers believe about two-thirds of the people in the caravan are planning to enter the US illegally or by asking for protection, according to BuzzFeed. The caravan does not give the migrants the guarantee they will enter the US and uses any form of transportation necessary to make it to the border. Judd told Fox : "First off, you have got a Mexican government entity that is assisting these individuals that are coming up to the United States. These individuals do not have passports or legal documents to be in Mexico, yet you got an agency that’s helping them get to our border.” Judd said border patrol agents do not have the ability to stop the migrants at the border even if they only step one foot on US soil : “Once they [the migrants] enter the country, even if we [border patrol agents] are standing at the border with our hands out saying, ‘Don’t enter, don’t enter,’ all they have to do is cross one foot into the border and we have to take them into custody. If they ask for asylum or say I fear to go back to my country, then we have to process them under ‘credible fear’ which allows them to be released into our country.” • President Trump has before demanded that Congress pass 'tough laws' and that Mexico halt would-be immigrants trekking toward the US. The President urged Congress on Sunday to pass “tough laws NOW” to build the wall and strengthen border security ahead of the arrival of a “caravan” of hundreds of Central American illegal immigrants walking across Mexico to reach the US. Trump last September rescinded the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program created by his predecessor's illegal executive order and gave Congress time to reach a legislative fix before the program officially ended. But Congress ahs struggled to reach an agreement on a DACA fix. While Democrats and many Republicans approve of offering amnesty to illegal immigrants brought to the US as children, Trump and conservative GOP members of Congress have refused to grant amnesty without securing Trump's key immigration enforcement objectives. Democrats balked despite Trump's offer to grant amnesty to 1.8 million illegals, far more than the estimated DACA total of about 800,000. Although Congress failed to reach an immigration agreement guaranteeing DACA amnesty and complete border wall funding before passing the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill in March, the bill included $1.6 billion in funding for some border security measures. President Trump rescinded the Obama DACA executive order becuase it was an overreach of executive authority. Then, Trump gave Congress six months to reach a legislative fix before the program officially ended. • Migrants, as they are euphemistically called in Europe, are illegal immigrants, occasionally called illegal aliens. The goal of Soros, Obama, Hillary, and the ProgDems congressional leadership is to force citizens of the United States into ignoring the law by agreeing to lump illegal immigrants into the same category as citizens, bypassing totally the fact that there are also legitimate immigrants. As long as US citizens go on quietly allowing the drive to accept illegal immigrants, including those protected by Obama under DACA, as being no different than citizens, along with the cry that the immigration laws of the US are broken, the influx of illegal aliens continues despite President Trump's hard work to put things in order. Laws remain intact, but enforcement of the laws is what is broken. • • • OBAMA, SOROS, AND HILLARY SUPPORT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND OPEN ORDERS. There are many indications that Barack Obama, both as President and now, and George Soros are helping the Palestinian Authority and illegal immigrant groups in the US. • Four years ago, Mexico claimed it had "absolute control of the southern border," but the planned stringent security checks appear to have broken down -- or been bypassed -- by the caravan of more than 1,000 Central Americans making their way through the country en route to the United States. The group, which is expected to reach the Mexico-US border by mid-April, has drawn the ire of President Trump, who on Monday blasted Mexico for not using its "absolute power" to stop the caravan : "Mexico has the absolute power not to let these large 'Caravans' of people enter their country. They must stop them at their Northern Border, which they can do because their border laws work, not allow them to pass through into our country, which has no effective border laws," Trump tweeted. Many of the border laws Trump was speaking about were passed after a surge of unaccompanied minors from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras passed through Mexico on their way to the US in 2014. The influx forced the Obama administration to enact emergency measures to stem the flow on its side of the border. Meanwhile, Mexico said it would also step up enforcement on its southern border, and planned to stop people from boarding freight trains while opening new border control stations. • President Obama gave a final gift to the Palestinians -- $221 Million -- just hours before he turned the White House over to President. Obama issued an executive order releasing $221 million in US taxpayer funds to the Palestinian Authority. The money had been set aside as part of an earlier budgetary bill that included funding to the Palestinian Authority via USAID. But congressional Republicans had blocked the transfer after the Palestinian leadership sought state-level recognition from various international bodies in violation of signed agreements with Israel. GOP lawmakers argued that the Palestinian Authority was creating obstacles to peace, and that the US government, which had brokered the aforementioned agreements, must hold the Palestinians accountable. But Palestinian Authority peace violations never bothered Obama. His parting gift to the Palestinians was seen as a final act of official support for their campaign against Israel, as well as a repudiation of President Trump’s stated Middle East peace policies. • In July, 2017, Mosaic wrote that : "the New York Times published an opinion piece by a far-left Israeli journalist named Mairav Zonszein arguing that the billionaire financier and philanthropist George Soros 'should be' -- but is not -- 'a darling of the Israeli establishment.' The obstacle : he does not offer 'unconditional support for [Israel’s current] government.' But, Mosaic says Israel is not concerned about Soros’s lack of 'unconditional support for the government.' Rather, it detests the fact that he provides millions of dollars to organizations that seek to boycott, isolate, and delegitimize Israel....Soros has given over $1 million to I’lam, a Palestinian media center that accuses Israel of ethnic cleansing and argues that 'the practical meaning of the Nakba,' an Arabic term for the creation of Israel, 'undermines the moral and ethical foundation of Zionism and, hence, of the state of Israel.'.... An NGO Monitor report from 2013 also revealed that Soros funds the Institute for Middle East Understanding and Mada al-Carmel, both of which call for international boycotts against Israel. He funds multiple organizations that specialize in suing Israel domestically and internationally, including Al-Haq, which is led by a senior activist of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, considered a terrorist organization by the United States....There is no mystery as to why Soros is despised in Israel : he is engaged in a campaign to subvert it from within and attack it from abroad. Soros’s foundation treats Israel like an adversary and a rogue state, to be targeted, pressured, and sanctioned. Soros has even publicly compared Israel to Nazi Germany, amateurishly contending that the victim has become the victimizer." • In January, illegal immigrant activists stormed the home of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the offices of Democrats demanding immediate amnesty for all 12 to 30 million illegal aliens in the United States, as well as the release of all illegal immigrants who are in detention centers for crossing the US-Mexico border illegally. Illegal aliens and open borders activists with “United We Dream,” a group that is partially funded by globalist billionaire George Soros, blocked off streets in Brooklyn, New York to protest Schumer’s vote to cave and reopen the federal government without an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens being included in the government funding bill. Illegal alien activists also stormed through the offices of Senator Mark Warner and Senator Marco Rubio, with one illegal alien who has been shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program taking issue with even the words “illegal immigrant.” • The Washington Times on October 20, 2016, reported that Hillary Clinton aligned herself closely with a vision for America laid out by her benefactor -- left-wing financier George Soros, who talks of “international governance,” more open borders, increased Moslem immigration and diminished US global power. The phrase “American exceptionalism” is not part of his agenda. He wrote in 1998 : “The sovereignty of states must be subordinated to international law and international institutions. We need some global system of political decision-making. In short, we need a global society to support our global economy," Mr. Soros wrote. After the Sept. 11, 2001, al-Qaida attacks on New York City and the Pentagon, he said : “Military power is of limited use in dealing with asymmetric threats such as terrorism.” The Clinton-Soros symbiosis came into clearer focus with the WikiLeaks release of thousands of hacked emails from John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign chairman. Soros‘ name comes up nearly 60 times. The financial and ideological alliance is so complete that after Soros dined with Mrs. Clinton in 2014 and asked her to attend a liberal group’s fundraiser, her campaign manager, Robby Mook, wrote in an email : “I would only do this for political reasons (ie to make Soros happy).” The Washington Times said in 2016 : "Americans should be concerned that a vote for Clinton is no different than a vote for George Soros for president,” quoting a Trump campaign advisor. The Washington Times reviewed Hillary Clinton’s private and public comments and said she has very much absorbed Soros‘ grand plan for the world, a blueprint that hangs under the title “open societies.” His New York-based Open Societies Foundation is at the center of his philanthropy and politics. WikiLeaks’ massive release of hacked campaign emails showed that in one of Mrs. Clinton’s paid speeches to bankers, she pledged to work for open borders. Her “dream” presumedly means that the southern US border would be a conduit for untold numbers of immigrants. “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders,” she told a closed-door audience at Brazilian bank Banco Tau in May 2013. Hillary said in 2004 : “We need people like George Soros, who is fearless and willing to step up when it counts.” • • • DEAR READERS, George Soros is persona non grata in his home country Hungary because of his opposition to the efforts of the current Hungarian govenrment to protect its borders from illegal immigrants. He has already helped to open wide the doors of Europe to millions of undocumented illegal immigrants. He and Obama have played hand-in-hand in the effort to eliminate US borders and allow millions of illegals into the US so that they can vote (illegally) for ProgDems. President Trump is getting very little help from Congress in his efforts to stem the tide of illegals coming into the US, including the latest caravan making its way from Central America through Mexico to the southern US border. And, now the Palestinian terrorists -- the Palestinian Authority and Hamas -- are trying to break down the borders of Israel so that a flood of Palestinians can eliminate the Jewish majority in their own Jewish Homeland. I cannot but help but think that there is aconnection between the Mexican caravan and the Palestinian March of Return. They both are characteristic of efforts of Soros-Obama supported groups determined to destroy the national governments of Israel and America -- the only two Western countries left whose borders have not already been decimated by the Globalist Progressives.

The Question of Special Counsel : Congress, Sessions, Dershowitz

THE REAL NEWS TODAY IS ABOUT THE ONGOING WAR AGAINTS AMERICA AND PRESIDENT TRUMP. Special Counsel Robert Mueller surely knows that that the damage is all on the ProgDem / Deep State side, but he persists in trying to torment and trap President Trump. • • • MORE STROZOK-PAGE EMAILS. Restore American Glory wrote last Thursday : "Republican congressional investigators released a new set of text messages between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page this week, and they may prove that the Obama White House was coordinating secretly with the intelligence community in the Trump/Russia investigation -- quite contrary to the story they were telling the public. In the texts, GOP investigators say, Strzok and Page indicate that the White House, the CIA, the FBI, the DOJ, and the Democrat leadership in the Senate were all 'colluding' and sharing information as the 2016 race between Trump and Hillary Clinton was just getting started in August of 2016. 'Make sure you can lawfully protect what you sign,' Page wrote to Strzok on August 2, 2016. 'Just thinking about congress, foia, etc. You probably know better than me.' The next day, Strzok wrote to Page, describing then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe concern with 'information control' as it related to the new Trump/Russia investigation. On August 8, Strzok texted: 'Internal joint cyber cd intel piece for D, scenesetter for McDonough brief, Trainor [head of FBI cyber division] directed all cyber info be pulled. I’d let Bill and Jim hammer it out first, though it would be best for D to have it before the Wed WH session.' According to Republican investigators who spoke off the record to Fox News, the 'D' in these texts refers to FBI Director Jim Comey. McDonough is White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough. A congressional source told Fox News that while there was not necessarily a smoking gun in the texts, they were disturbing enough to create the need for further investigation. 'We are not making conclusions,' said the source. 'What we are saying is that the timeline is concerning enough to warrant the appointment of an independent investigator to look at whether or not the Obama White House was involved [in the Trump-Russia investigation].' ” • Perhaps the most troubling aspect of the texts is this: On August 27, 2016, then-Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid published on open letter to James Comey demanding that the FBI begin investigating any contacts between the Trump campaign and Moscow officials. The letter was written to make it seem that Reid came by this through published reports and rumors and that the FBI, at the time, was not involved in any such investigation. The day after the New York Times reported on Reid’s letter, Strzok sent a link to the Times article to Page, and then he texted her : “D [which is Comey] said at am brief that Reid called him and told him he would be sending a letter.” This has led Republicans to believe that Reid’s letter was meant as “cover” for the fact that the FBI and the DOJ, in coordination with the White House, had already been investigating the Trump campaign for more than a month by that time. A congressional source told Fox News : “The ‘here we go’ text between Strzok and Page indicates the FBI/ DOJ knew the letter from Reid was coming. This created the inference they knew it would create public calls for an investigation into Russian interference -- covering them.” • The Reid letter combined with the Strzok-Page text messages is highly revealing about what President Obama knew and authorized in 2016, and the combination could be the beginning of a long legal battle for Obama and his presidential staff, as their claims of distance from the intelligence community’s investigation into Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia are collapsing. Donald Trump has claimed all along that this was a partisan witch hunt aimed at helping Hillary Clinton and destroying his presidency. And with every new leak, his version of the story becomes more and more credible. • • • BUT, SESSIONS MARCHES BY THE NUMBERS. Fox News reported last Thursday that : "Jeff Sessions is rejecting GOP calls for a second special counsel, but reveals that a US attorney is investigating potential DOJ and FBI FISA abuses. Ed Henry gave details on 'Special Report' andthey were summarized by Fox journalist Brooke Singman : "Attorney General Jeff Sessions revealed Thursday a federal prosecutor was evaluating certain issues involving the FBI, the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One, but said he would not appoint a second special counsel at this point. In a letter directed to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte and House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, Sessions revealed that he asked US Attorney John Huber to lead the evaluation into issues raised by the committees in recent months. 'I write in response to recent letters requesting the appointment of a Special Counsel to review certain prosecutorial and investigative determinations made by the Department of Justice in 2016 and 2017. I take the concerns you raise seriously,' Sessions wrote, noting how important it was that the American people and Congress had 'confidence' in the Justice Department. Congressmen Gowdy and Goodlatte have called for a second special counsel to investigate possible FISA abuses. Sessions referenced a November 2017 letter sent by Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd, first reported by Fox News, directing senior federal prosecutors to evaluate 'certain issues' requested by congressional Republicans, involving the sale of Uranium One and alleged unlawful dealings related to the Clinton Foundation. On November 13, 2017, Boyd wrote : 'These senior prosecutors will report directly to the Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General [Rod Rosenstein], as appropriate, and will make recommendations as to whether any matters not currently under investigation should be opened, whether any matters currently under investigation require further resources, or whether any matters merit the appointment of a Special Counsel.' Sessions revealed Thursday in the letter to top Republican lawmakers in both chambers of Congress that Huber was the senior federal prosecutor leading that effort. 'Mr. Huber is conducting his work from outside the Washington DC area and in cooperation with the Inspector General,' Sessions said, noting that Huber’s review would 'include a full, complete, and objective evaluation of these matters in a manner that is consistent with the law and facts.' ” • John Huber is a federal prosecutor, twice confirmed unanimously by the Senate as US attorney for the District of Utah in 2015 and again in 2017. Huber had previously served in leadership roles within the US Attorney’s Office as national security section chief and executive assistant US attorney. Huber, appointed US Attorney by President Obama in 2015, has also been looking at whether the FBI should have more thoroughly probed Hillary Clinton’s ties to Uranium One, a Russian nuclear energy agency. AG Sessions said in his letter : "I receive regular updates from Mr. Huber and upon the conclusion of his review, will receive his recommendations as to whether any matters not currently under investigation should be opened, whether any matters currently under investigation require further resources, or whether any matters merit the appointment of a Special Counsel." Huber ultimately would be the prosecutor to decide whether issues raised by Republicans in Congress warrant the appointment of a second special counsel, Sessions said, citing the US Code and noting that the appointment of a special counsel is "reserved for use in only the most 'extraordinary circumstances," and that any special counsel must be "selected from outside the United States Government." Sessions wrote : "To justify such an appointment, the Attorney General would need to conclude that 'the public interest would be served by removing a large degree of responsibility for the matter from the Department of Justice'....The Department has successfully investigated and prosecuted many high-profile resource-intensive matters since the regulations were promulgated in 1999, but the regulations' standard has been found to be satisfied on only two occasions." Sessions added that it was "more common" to appoint "accountable prosecutors" to conduct investigations within the department. • On March 6, Gowdy and Goodlatte wrote a joint letter to Sessions demanding the appointment of a special counsel to investigate "conflicts of interest" and decisions "made and not made" by current and former Justice Department officials in 2016 and 2017, noting that "the public interest requires" the action. The letter cited potential Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuses, which Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced Wednesday would be investigated by his team. The Horowitz statement said : "The Office of Inspector General will initiate a review that will examine the Justice Department’s and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s compliance with legal requirements, and with applicable DOJ and FBI policies and procedures, in applications filed with the US Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) relating to a certain US person. As part of this examination, the OIG also will review information that was known to the DOJ and the FBI at the time the applications were filed from or about an alleged FBI confidential source.” • The Horowitz statement lends support to Sessions' continuing emphasis on the authority of the Justice Department inspector general to “collect evidence through subpoena, and develop cases for presentation to the Attorney General...for prosecution.” Many Republicans had raised about relying solely on Horowitz, Stephen Vladeck, a national security law professor at the University of Texas, told TheHill : “I think it’s actually another in a series of examples of Sessions walking a pretty fine tightrope and at least, thus far, navigating it successfully.” The Sessions announcement was a disappointment to some Trump allies in Congress who have clamored for the appointment. Representative Mark Meadows, a Freedom Caucus leader who often talks with President Trump, said : “I disagree with the attorney general. The Justice Department is not complying with the subpoena and oversight responsibility we have in Congress, so for the attorney general to say there’s not enough there is extremely disappointing.” The White House itself did not comment on the Sessions decision, however, nor did Trump. And key lawmakers on Capitol Hill who have formally requested a second special counsel -- such as Goodlatte and Gowdy -- instead chose to focus on the appointment of Huber, calling the move “encouraging.” • In the Time Magazine interview in which Sessions was featured on the cover, Sessions sent the signal that he is working for Trump : “I want to do what the President wants me to do. But I do feel like we’re advancing the agenda that he believes in. And what’s good for me is it’s what I believe in, too.” Sessions, a former Alabama Senator and early supporter of the President during his campaign, has successfully carried out Trump initiatives beyond the handling of the Russia investigation. Sessions was praised by Trump in March for dismissing FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe a day before he would have been eligible for his pension. • Sessions told lawmakers in his Thursday letter that he understands that the Justice Department is "not above criticism," and noted that if anyone "falls short" of the "highest level of integrity, ethics and professionalism," he would act : "I will fulfill my responsibility to take necessary action to protect the integrity of our work," Sessions wrote, thanking the lawmakers for their "leadership" on the matters, and stating that he would make their letters available to both Huber and Horowitz. • Steven Cash, a lawyer at Day Pitney, said Sessions was simply following regular protocol by declining to appoint a special counsel, given the narrow circumstances under which such an appointment is warranted : “It seems like this is sort of regular order of business." Cash also said Sessions was right not to completely rule out the possibility of appointing one should a reason arise : “That’s not surprising either, because you never know what you’re going to find. And you should never rule it out.” • • • SESSIONS AND CONGRESS WANT THE SAME THING. That is, a thorough invesitgation of all the allegations raised by the Devin Nunes Memo charging that the FBI and DOJ abused the Foreign Surveillance Intelligence Act (FISA). GOP lawmakers allege that investigators used information from the Steele Russia Dossier, a controversial file full of political opposition research compiled by ex-M16 agent Christopher Steele -- whose accusations about a Trump-Russia collusion have not been proven by either Democrat leaders in Congress or by more than a year of special counsel Robert Mueller probing. The Dossier has pretty much been shown to be the sole basis for the FBI's obtaining of a politically-motivated FISA surveillance warrant for former Trump aide Carter Page. • The differences arise in the methods to be used for the investigation. DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's announcement that he will review potential FISA abuses by both the Justice Department and the FBI, is AG Sessions' response to requests from Congress for a second special counsel. Horowitz' Office of the Inspector General statement, reported by Fox News, outlines the review and makes it clear that McCabe and the Carter Page warrant are in focus : “The OIG will initiate a review that will examine the Justice Department’s and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s compliance with legal requirements, and with applicable DOJ and FBI policies and procedures, in applications filed with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) relating to a certain US person. As part of this examination, the OIG also will review information that was known to the DOJ and the FBI at the time the applications were filed from or about an alleged FBI confidential source.” The OIG statement added that Horowitz also would “review the DOJ’s and FBI’s relationship and communications with the alleged source as they relate to the FISC applications.” The statement continued, “If circumstances warrant, the OIG will consider including other issues that may arise during the course of the review.” • Earlier in March, Sessions directed Horowitz to probe the allegations of government surveillance abuse, in light of memos released on Capitol Hill by the House Intelligence Committee about FBI and DOJ efforts to obtain FISA warrants to surveil Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Sessions told a February news conference : “We believe the Department of Justice must adhere to the high standards in the FISA court. Yes it will be investigated. And I think that’s just the appropriate thing the inspector general will take that as one of the matters he’ll deal with.” • Fox News Brooke Singman summarized the Nunes Memo and the FBI FISA warrant application : "House Intel Republicans released a memo in late February detailing the DOJ's and FBI’s surveillance of Page, saying the infamous anti-Trump Dossier funded by Democrats 'formed an essential part' of the application to spy on him. The Dossier, authored by former British spy Christopher Steele and commissioned by Fusion GPS, was funded in part by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign through the law firm Perkins Coie. It included salacious and unverified allegations about President Trump’s connections to Russia. The Republican Memo stated that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe testified that 'no surveillance warrant would have been sought' from the FISA court 'without the Steele dossier information.' The Memo also said Steele, who worked as an FBI informant, eventually was cut off from the bureau for what the FBI described as the most serious of violations, 'an unauthorized disclosure to the media of his relationship with the FBI.' The memo noted that the FBI and DOJ obtained 'one initial FISA warrant' targeting Page and three FISA renewals from the FISC. The statute required that every 90 days, a FISA order on an American citizen 'must be reviewed.' Former FBI Director James Comey signed three FISA applications for Page, while McCabe, current Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein who leads the Russia probe, former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and former Acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente signed at least one, according the Republican Memo." • The White House said the GOP Memo raised “serious concerns about the integrity of decisions made at the highest levels of the Department of Justice and the FBI to use the government’s most intrusive surveillance tools against American citizens.” Republican lawmakers and Sessions had been pressing Horowitz to probe the alleged FISA abuses. FBI Director Wray has now announced plans to “double the number” of agents handing records for the House Judiciary Committee after it subpoenaed the Justice Department for documents on FISA, the Clinton email investigation and the firing of McCabe. • Over the last year, Horowitz also has been conducting a review of the FBI's and DOJ’s actions related to the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was Secretary of State. A final report on the investigation is expected in several months. • • • DERSHOWITZ SPEAKS OUT ABOUT THE USE OF SPECIAL COUNSEL. In an interview with CBSDFW.TV in Dallas, Alan Dershowitz said last Wednesday that he is fearful of the criminalization of political differences in today’s discourse and that he doesn’t think special counsels are the right way to approach criminal justice. Dershowitz spoke to CBS 11 political reporter Jack Fink about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians to affect the outcome of the 2016 election. Dershowitz told Fink : “I think the investigation should end and I think the Congress should appoint a special non-partisan commission,” because a congressional committee would be too partisan; adding : “That’s the way it’s done in other western democracies. They don’t appoint a special counsel and tell them to ‘Get that guy...’ that’s what they did in the Soviet Union. Lavrentiy Beria, the head of the KGB said to Stalin, ‘Show me the man, and I’ll find you the crime!' That’s what special counsel does.” • Dershowitz was quick to point out that he was not making a direct correlation between the United States and the former Soviet Union : “I’m not comparing obviously the Soviet Union and the United States. We have structural protections in our Bill Of Rights but it’s going down the wrong direction." • But, Dershowitz has a good point. He says : “The issue of criminalization [of political differences] has not been subject to rational discourse. Democrats hate when they politicize and criminalize political differences against Democrats...when they did it with Bill Clinton. Republicans hate when they do it against their people...President Trump. But each one supports it when they’re against their enemies and partisanship prevails over principle. It’s very hard to have a reasonable discussion.” Dershowitz said that citizens should fear the direction of this investigation for their own sake. He warned that today criminalization of political differences appears -- now -- to only affect Presidents and political leaders, but : “Tomorrow it can affect you and me. If you give the prosecutor the ability to stretch the criminal law to fit a target, it’s very dangerous.” • Dershowitz told Fink that special counsels are not the right way to approach criminal justice : “When you appoint a special counsel you give them targets and you say, ‘You better get that guy or the people around him...and we’re going to give you tens of millions of dollars. And if you come up empty handed you’re a failure.'” Dershowitz explained that if an ordinary prosecutor goes months without finding a crime then “that’s great, no...there have been no crimes committed.” He says not so with a special counsel. “Special Counsel always has the goal of ‘getting the people.’ They’re going to find crimes, or they’re going to manufacture crimes or they’re going to stretch the criminal law to fit the ‘crimes’ because they’re not going to come away empty handed.” • When asked what he thinks should happen in the current situation, Dershowitz said : “I think Rod Rosenstein needs to say to the special counsel, ‘Do not investigate the private finances of the President before he became President; do not investigate his relatives; do not investigate his sex life.’ Don’t do -- to President Trump -- what Ken Starr did to President Clinton. It started with Whitewater and ended up with a blue dress. That’s not the appropriate way a special counsel should operate.” • Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel after Attorney General Sessions recused himself from any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States. Dershowitz had some strong words for Rosenstein : “I think Rod Rosenstein is concerned more about his reputation than anything else. I don’t understand why he’s not recused. He is the key witness in the firing of Comey.” • Dershowitz said if he were President Trump’s lawyer, Rosenstein would be the first witness he would call asking him, “Rod Rosenstein, you wrote the memo...you justified the firing...explain how you justified the firing. Did the President tell you to do it? Did you tell the President to do the firing?” • Dershowitz worries that the American public is quickly losing faith in the justice system and he called that a terrible, terrible tragedy : “We need neutral objective people administering justice. You can’t have an FBI agent like Strzok who is writing messages saying ‘oh we have to stop Trump from becoming President.' The American public insists that justice not only be fair, but be seen to be fair -- appear to be fair. You need the appearance and the reality of justice. We’re not having that today.” • Dershowitz said he thinks Trump should not have fired former FBI Director James Comey in the way that he did : “Look, Comey should have been fired. I think Clinton would have fired him had she been elected. [Comey] did a terrible, terrible thing during the election and he may have influenced the election. That’s not the job of the FBI. He should have been fired but I think it was a mistake for the President to fire him in the manner that he did. I don’t think it was illegal -- I think it was a constitutionally authorized act -- but I think we wouldn’t have a special counsel today if not for that firing.” • Dershowitz said he sees absolutely no evidence that there was either collusion between Trump and the Russian government and/or obstruction of justice : “I would think by this time there would be some public disclosure of any such charges. Collusion -- if it happened, and there’s no evidence that it happened -- would be a sin, it would not be a crime. It is not a crime to collude about an election unless there are payments made, or violations of the federal law involving gifts to campaigns from foreign governments. But collusion itself is not a crime. I think that the President cannot be charged with obstruction of justice for exercising his constitutional authority. He has the authority to fire anybody in the executive branch -- the Supreme Court has said that.” • Regarding a possible impeachment, Dershowitz said “no one knows” whether or not there has to be a crime committed by the President -- while he is in office -- for him to be impeached : “I believe the Constitution says what it means. The Constitution says in order to be impeached, the President must have committed bribery, treason or other high crimes and misdemeanors. I take that seriously. And I don’t think a President can be impeached for doing something that isn’t criminal.” He said he did not think President Bill Clinton should have been impeached either. Dershowitz said he believes that no party should take up impeachment unless they are sure they can remove the President : “You don’t go after the President unless he’s committed an act which would warrant removal. And for that to happen, [there] would have to be wide bipartisan support. There is no bipartisan support for impeachment of this President today.” • • • DEAR READERS, I can only say, "Amen, Professor Dershowitz, Amen."

ProgDems and Soros Are Determined to Get Devin Nunes and the Second Amendment, While Their "Stormy" Story Is not Gaining Traction

THE REAL NEWS TODAY IS THAT WE ARE IN A WAR WITH PROGRESSIVES. If you don't believe it, consider this. • • • DEVIN NUNES IS A TARGET OF GEORGE SOROS. The Washington Times reported last Saturday that : "Representative Devin Nunes, whose investigation revealed that the Democratic Party funded the Christopher Steele dossier and that the FBI used the unverified charges to spy on a Trump volunteer, says Hollywood and George Soros are combining to try to take his congressional seat in November. His work to reveal a competing narrative in the Trump-Russia saga has put a bull’s-eye on his back." Nunes told the tale in a new findraising letter : "Now, their attacks against me are growing stronger -- extreme liberals in Hollywood, Washington DC and across the country have set their sights on me and my seat in Congress. They will say and do anything to support their far-left candidate against me....Nancy Pelosi, George Soros and their assembly of deep-pocketed, far-left insiders are willing to spend whatever they have in order to defeat me.” • Nunes, a California Republican and chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, has become a hero to the political right for exposing Democratic ties to Kremlin disinformation against President Trump, via the Russia Dossier. But Democrats believe the Nunes memo on alleged FBI abuses, coupled with all the negative liberal press, makes his 22nd district competitive. California Democratic chairman Eric Bauman says : “Trump’s decision to release the Nunes Memo is a page right out of the tinpot dictator handbook. This is an open declaration of war on the FBI and the rule of law. Nunes and Trump are lashing out like guilty men who know investigators are inching closer and closer to exposing their crimes. Devin Nunes must be held to account for his dangerous smear campaign against the FBI.” • In fact, it was the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary campaign that played the "dictator handbook" role. Ttwo of Nunes' key moves were, as the Washington Times put it : "to begin almost a single-handed pursuit of the Steele Dossier, its funders and how the Department of Justice used it to investigate Mr. Trump and his people.Through bank records obtained in court from Steele handlers Fusion GPS, Mr. Nunes discovered that the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee provided the roughly $1 million needed for the dossier operation. After pressing DOJ for months, he obtained documents that showed the FBI cited the dossier, which was Democratic Party opposition research, to obtained a court-approved wiretap on the Trump campaign through the target, campaign volunteer Carter Page. As Democrats objected along the way, Mr. Nunes also found out that the FBI planned to pay Mr. Steele to continue investigating Mr. Trump’s ties to Russia. But the bureau fired Mr. Steele after he broke its rules and went to Mother Jones magazine in late October 2016 with his conspiracy stories. None has been verified publicly to this day." • The mainstream media routinely dismisses the Nunes findings, but they were real, as Nunes said in his fundraising letter : “After more than a year of diverted resources and slanderous attacks from the far left over alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russian hackers, we’ve reached a conclusion about collusion: there was none. Instead of letting the intelligence community move on to combat the many legitimate problems and threats facing our country, the far-left Democrats refuse to let it go.” Nunes is so distrustful of the Washington press corps that his campaign publishes “The California Republican” website. It’s a steady stream of conservative blogs that purports to tell news stories the liberal press ignores. • Nunes‘ 22nd District is farm country, sitting north of Bakersfield in the fertile San Joaquin Valley. Raised on a family farm and now a wine investor, Nunes is seeking his ninth term from the 21st and now the 22nd, where he has never gotten less than 60% of the vote in a district that is split between Latinos and whites. Donald Trump carried the district, 52%-42% in 2016, while Nunes won 67%. His associates told the Washington Times that his newfound status as the Republican who has almost singelhandedly forced the DOJ and FBI investigations of the ProgDem / Deep State program of lies and innunedo against Trump has sparked a flood of campaign donations. His war chest exceeds $4 million. Two Democrats are vying in the June primary to oppose Nunes. • Democrats sense a “wave” election in November and think even Nunes‘ strong showings can be reversed. Representative Adam Schiff of California, the House Intelligence Committee’s ranking Democratic, has championed the Russia Dossier and Christopher Steele. Schiff calls Trump the worst President in modern history. Media Matters, a George Soros-financed critic of conservative news sites, is a frequent basher of Devin Nunes. It called his FBI memo a “muddled nothing burger.” • Anyone who can should support Devin Nunes, and any Congress member like him who is running as a Trump supporter in the mid-term elections. It is vital that we keep our bqse in Congress nad expand it to provide better service tothe truth of what happened under Obama and the Deep State he created to destroy President Trump, conservatives, and the Republican Party. We know who the "worst President in modern history" was -- his name is Barack Obama. • • • IS THE LAPDOG MAINSTREAM MEDIA RUNNING OUT OF ANTI-TRUMP STEAM? Breitbart published a Rasmussen poll last Friday that shows that : "Only 39% of those polled attach any importance to the media’s obsessive coverage of Stormy Daniels, while a comfortable majority of 59% do believe those who have accused former-President Bill Clinton of sexual assault. Rasmussen Reports, one of the most accurate pollsters in the 2016 presidential campaign, has nothing but bad news for a mainstream media dedicated to taking down President Trump, and who are now desperate enough to do so using what was, at worst, a consensual one-night extra-marital affair with a porn queen." Breitbart points out that "porn star Stormy Daniels is accusing Trump" of a one night of consensual sex 12 years ago. Whatever the truth is (Trump denies the affair), Breitbart says : "the President’s lawyer Michael Cohen says he paid Daniels $130,000 to protect his client from her selling this story. In turn, she has since violated the agreement in order to tell the world that she had one night of consensual sex with Trump more than a decade ago. And so, to the surprise of no one who lives within the boundaries of the Real World, no one cares about this story, except for Democrats, who already hate Trump." Here are the rasmussen poll rsults : Outside of 74% of Democrats, most people are not even following the story. Only 41% of Republicans are interested, while only 43% of those not affiliated with either party are following it. The worst news for the mainstream media is the effect Stormy is having on voters -- which is to say not much at all. While 64% of Democrats say the Stormy story has “colored their perceptions” of Trump, only 23% of Republicans and a mere 26% of Independents agree. A clear majority of 56% of all voters attach no importance to the story as far as how it has affected their view of the President. One of the poll’s most interesting finds is that a whopping 45% are not paying close attention to what the media assures us is The Biggest And Most Important Story In The History Of The World. Breitbart says : "What should demoralize our disgraced media more than anything else, though, is that their 25-year effort to shield Bill Clinton has failed miserably. A whopping 59% now believe the allegations made by “several women who claim former President Bill Clinton sexually assaulted them.” Those allegations include sexual harassment, exposing himself, groping, and rape. It gets worse…Only 13% do not believe Clinton’s accusers. According to Rasmussen, Trump is closing out Stormy Week with a very healthy 47% approval rating. At this same point in his failed presidency, Barack Obama the man the media sold all of their residual credibility for, was at 48% approval. These numbers are just more proof that the America media have squandered all of their moral authority and with it, the ability to move public opinion. It is not just that we no longer believe the media, we are also ignoring them." • With the Stromy Daniels story failing to catch on, will other MSM lies about President Trump soon fall into the "don't-care-don't-believe" bin as well? It seems only a matter of time, especially with the Trump presidency moving into working order and continuing its assault on the Swamp, the mainstream media, and the Deep State. • • • DOES GEORGE SOROS PAY FOR THE PROGRESSIVE ATTACKS ON AMERICA AND PRESIDENT TRUMP. The website < Soros.com > follows the actvities of George Soros. On March 10, it published an article by JD Heyes titled "Russian billionaire says Marxist globalist George Soros, Silicon Valley billionaires, funded Fusion GPS, creator of bogus 'Trump dossier.' ” The article reported that : "An op-ed in The Daily Caller by Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska claims the narrative of Moscow meddling in the 2016 election is a 'false public manipulation,' and that Daniel Jones -- a former FBI investigator and staffer for Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. and presently a Fusion GPS operative -- told him in March 2017 the DC firm was funded by 'a group of Silicon Valley billionaires and George Soros.' What’s particularly noteworthy is that Deripaska’s lawyer, Adam Waldman -- a Washington lawyer -- recommended that Jones investigate and verify claims made in the Dossier, which was assembled by former British spy Christopher Steel." • As we discussed in our blog, it was reported earlier that Waldman served as an intermediary between Senator Mark Warner, D-Va., and Steele in an attempt to arrange a meeting, which “suggests that Waldman, Jones, Steele, and Fusion GPS are all connected,” Zero Hedge noted. In his Daily Caller piece, Deripaska describes the never-ending “Russia narrative” as little more than a manufactured scandal offered up by the Deep State, or “Wagging the money,” he writes. • So, who is the "funding mechanism" of this "shadowy government?” None other than another billionaire and seasoned Left-wing political meddler George Soros, according to Jones -- as told to congressional investigators by Deripaska attorney Waldman. Deripaska wrote : "On March 16, 2017, Daniel Jones -- himself a team member of Fusion GPS, self-described former FBI agent and, as we now know from the media, an ex-Feinstein staffer -- met with my lawyer, Adam Waldman, and described Fusion as a 'shadow media organization helping the government,' funded by a 'group of Silicon Valley billionaires and George Soros.' My lawyer testified these facts to the Senate Intelligence Committee on November 3. Mr. Soros is, not coincidentally, also the funder of two 'ethics watchdog' NGOs (Democracy 21 and CREW) attacking Representative Nunes’ committee memo." • Can we believe Oleg Deripaska? He is the greatest of the Russian Oligarchs, and a very close friend of Vladimir Putin. He clearly has a side to defend and a story to push that Russia and Putin were not involved with the Steele Russia Dossier. But, Deripaska is very well-placed to know what is going on in the Putin inner circle. And, he has no axe to grind with any political group in the US -- except to want to get his freedom to enter the US, which is now barred, back. And, attacking thr Deep State does not seem to be the logicla way to regain entry to America. • • • SOROS AND GUN CONTROL. Soros.com reported on February 22 that "meddling globalist George Soros has been named as the puppet master behind the student gun control push." Soros.com reporter JD Heyes wrote : "Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke is very familiar with the Marxist tactics of meddling globalist Leftist George Soros, the billionaire financier who is being targeted by his own home country of Hungary for political agitation and manipulation. As a former chief law enforcement officer, he’s seen the tactics implemented via crisis actors funded by the hedge fund mogul all across the United States in recent years, as Soros, via his many umbrella organizations, works to subvert American democracy and destroy the social fabric of the country. That’s why he sees Soros’ 'fingerprints' all over the agitation taking place in South Florida after the most recent school shooting : It’s a familiar script." TheHill rpeorted that Clarke tweeted : "The well ORGANIZED effort by Florida school students demanding gun control has GEORGE SOROS’ FINGERPRINTS all over it. It is similar to how he hijacked and exploited black people’s emotion regarding police use of force incidents into the COP HATING Black Lives Matter movement." In his tweet, Clarke included a picture of Soros side-by-side with a picture of several black male youths destroying a police car. Seventeen people -- most of them students -- were killed at the Parkland, Fla., high school; immediately following the shootings the American Pravda media was all over the place, sticking microphones in the faces of any traumatized teen who would bash President Donald J. Trump and the National Rifle Association, while simultaneously calling for ‘more gun control.’ Within a few days of the shooting, the #NeverAgain movement was born, and already, supposedly, the teens who were in attendance at the school during the shooting [had] organized a ‘march’ on Washington, DC, on March 24. The “March for our Lives. That March focus on participants demanding that "a comprehensive and effective bill be immediately brought before Congress to address these gun issues.” Soros.com also reported on the planning for the "National School Walkouts" of March 14 and April 20, the anniversary of the Columbine high school shooting. • While Clarke did not provide any evidence for his claim, he’s merely making an observation that what is happening -- and the rapidity with which events and “protests” are being planned -- is certainly indicative of a Soros-financed effort. Soros.com says htis : "Consider : -- Aaron Kline of Breitbart News reported in January 2017, days after President Donald J. Trump’s inauguration, that 'immigration lawyers from groups financed by billionaire [Soros], a champion of open-border policies, were signatories to a lawsuit filed Saturday to block [Trump’s] executive order halting visas for 90 days for ‘immigrants and non-immigrants’ from Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, Iran, and Iraq.” -- Bugout.news reported in July 2016 that, according to a Washington Times investigation, Soros-funded organizations were guilty of inciting violence and destruction of private property via a series of protests ranging from those that destroyed parts of Ferguson, Missouri, and helped launch the 'Black Lives Matter' movement, to others in Baltimore and elsewhere." The Soros.com report also noted : "Within months of the rioting, looting and burning of Ferguson businesses and communities, taxpayers were hit with $5.7 million in expenses. City and county officials were not sure where they were going to find the money to make up for the losses in tax base, either, as scores of businesses that were destroyed remain closed today. In Baltimore, where other protests against police (none of whom have been convicted of the crime of killing Freddie Gray, by the way) led to damaging riots, the cost was greater: $20 million and counting. And again, much of what destroyed isn’t coming back. Most people with the means to leave a volatile city will do so and apply their wares elsewhere." • So, Clarke may or may not know what he's talking about, but he certainly knows Soros. • As a footnote, the Soros.com article notes that : "Jones currently operates Penn Quarter Group, which is a 'research and investigatory advisory' firm whose website was first registered in April 2016 -- just days before Steele delivered the first in a series of Trump-Russia memos (none of which have been substantiated). In 2017, Jones began tweeting out a series of articles suggestion 'collusion' between the Trump campaign and Russia. In January, The Federalist’s Sean Davis reported that congressional documents and leaked texts between Warner and Waldman reveal Jones is 'intimately involved with ongoing efforts to retroactively validate' the Trump Dossier. Davis wrote : 'Congressional documents and recently leaked texts between Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and a registered foreign agent for a Russian aluminum oligarch indicate that Daniel J. Jones is intimately involved with ongoing efforts to retroactively validate a series of salacious and unverified memos produced by Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent, and Fusion GPS.' " • And of course, says Soros.com : "the Soros angle wouldn’t be complete without a connection to Hillary Clinton and the American Communist Party, otherwise known as the Democrats : The DNC and the Clinton campaign paid Fusion to create the Dossier. Jones comes up in leaked text messages between Warner and Waldman as a point of contact for Steele. The messages, which were leaked to Fox News, discuss efforts by Warner to secure Steele’s testimony. For his part, Deripaska, who was Russia’s wealthiest man before the 2008 financial crisis, has been scrutinized in recent weeks for his association with short-lived Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort. But he goes on to confirm what working journalists have long known existed : There is a 'Deep State.' Heyes wrote : “What has been inelegantly termed the ‘Deep State’ is really this : shadow power exercised by a small number of individuals from media, business, government and the intelligence community, foisting provocative and cynically false manipulations on the public. Out of these manipulations, an agenda of these architects’ own design is born. And it is still trying to do a number on President Donald J. Trump." • • • DEAR READERS, there is a war being waged by Progressives. It is aimed at destroying President Trump, the US Constitution, and the Republic. Beware. Be active conservatives. Don't allow any media tidbits, whose goal is not news but lies, to deflect us from our goal of saving the Constitution, the Republic, and the leader who can make this possible -- President Trump.
