The March of Return and the Mexican Caravan -- Do They Both bear the Fingerprints of Obama and Soros?

THE REAL NEWS TODAY IS ALL ABOUT BORDERS. Here, there, and everywhere. • • • IS IT A CONCIDENCE THAT US AND ISRAELI BORDERS ARE BEING ATTACKED AT THE SAME TIME ? Breitbart reported on Sunday that the United States blocked on Saturday the UN Security Council from issuing a resolution expressing “grave concern” over Israel’s handling of Hamas-planned riots along the border with Gaza and calling for an “independent and transparent investigation” into the violence. The draft statement, presented by Kuwait, expressed “the right to peaceful protest” and the council’s “sorrow at the loss of innocent Palestinian lives.” It also called “for respect for international human rights law and international humanitarian law, including protection of civilians,” according to a copy of the draft seen by AFP. Both Israel and the Palestinians were called upon to “exercise restraint and prevent a further escalation,” the draft said. It also called on the sides to work towards peace based on the two-state solution. • The Palestinian Authority on Saturday charged the US and Britain with preventing Arab efforts to issue a Security Council resolution condemning Israel for the 16 Palestinians killed during the clashes. PA spokesman Yusef al Mahmoud said their refusal meant the US and Britain were “accomplices in the horrific massacre committed by the Israeli occupation army against our defenseless people.” Yusef al Mahmoud added that Washington and London showed “bias in favor of oppression and suppression.” He also claimed that the protests were “peaceful marches and demonstrations” commemorating Land Day, saying Israel was “directly responsible for this dreadful massacre, which resulted in 16 martyrs and hundreds of wounded.” Another spokesman for PA President Mahmoud Abbas, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said the US was “providing a cover for Israel to continue its aggression against the Palestinian people.” The US and its envoy Nikki Haley, he said, “encourages Israel to defy UN resolutions aimed at ending its occupation.” Hamas said the US “encouraged Israel to commit more violence and terrorism against Palestinian civilians.” • The Security Council summoned a closed meeting on Friday night to discuss the situation, ignoring a request from the US and Israel to postpone the meeting until Saturday because of Passover. The following day, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for “those concerned to refrain from any act that could lead to further casualties.” He also said there should be an independent and transparent investigation into the deaths and injuries during Friday’s clashes. • Israel's Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman dismissed the idea of cooperation in any investigation, saying the calls for a probe were “hypocritical.” Liberman told Israel's army radio : “There will be no commission of inquiry. There will be no such thing here. We shall not cooperate with any commission of inquiry.” He added that the protests were not a “Woodstock festival.” At least 10 of the 16 Palestinians killed were identified as members of terror groups, the IDF said Saturday. The Israeli army published a list of the terrorists along with their positions in various terror groups -- with eight of them coming from Hamas. The riots saw rocks and Molotov cocktails hurled at Israeli soldiers along the border from a crowd of some 30,000 Gazans attempting to storm the fence. There was an instance of live fire as one rioter shot at IDF troops. The “March of the Return” was initially publicized as a “non-violent” protest that organizers promised would take place a half-mile away from the border fence, with no attempts to breach it. The IDF responded mainly with tear gas and rubber bullets, and only rioters who explicitly used violence against troops or who were seen damaging or breaching the security fence were targeted with live fire, the army stated. Some of the terrorists who were killed were said to have attempted to place bombs along the security fence. Friday’s “day of rage” coincided with both Passover eve and Palestinian Land Day, which marks events in 1976 that reflect the Palestinians’ struggle to own the land. The protest is supposed to continue until May 15’s Nakba Day -- the day of “catastrophe” that marks the establishment of the State of Israel. • • • A MARCH TO DESTROY ISRAEL. That is what Gatestone Institute's Bassam Tawil called it in his long piece publiched on Monday. Taxil's entire article can be accessed at < https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/12113/palestinians-gaza-march >. You can google Gatestone Institute and find many of Tawil's articles on the Palestinians and Israel.• Bassam Tawil, a Palestinian scholar identified discretely -- and seemingly for his safety -- as living “somewhere in the Middle East,” writes : "Based on statements made by Hamas leaders, the 'March of Return' campaign is not about improving the living conditions of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Nor is it about finding ways to solve the 'humanitarian' and 'economic' crises in the Gaza Strip. The mass protests are aimed at forcing Israel to accept millions of Palestinian 'refugees' as a first step towards turning Jews into a minority in their own country. The next step would be to kill or expel the Jews and replace Israel with an Islamic state. Did they expect the Israeli soldiers to greet them with flowers?" Bassam Tawil says : "The Palestinian 'March of Return' is being mistakenly referred to by some journalists and political analysts as a 'peaceful and popular' drive by Palestinians demanding freedom and better living conditions. Palestinians' living conditions in the Gaza Strip could be improved if the Egyptians only opened the Rafah border crossing and allowed Palestinians to leave and allowed Arabs and others to come and help the people there. Their lives could be improved if Hamas stopped building terror tunnels and smuggling weapons. • The "March of Return" was an attempt on March 30 by tens of thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to infiltrate the border with Israel and launch a six-week campaign of mass protests organized by Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other radical Palestinian groups. Tawil states that : "The groups encouraged Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to head to the areas adjacent to the border with Israel. The protesters were also encouraged to try to infiltrate the border, thus putting their lives at risk. Hamas and its allies told the protesters that the 'March of Return' marked the beginning of the 'liberation of all of Palestine, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River.' In other words, the Palestinians were told that infiltrating the border with Israel would be the first step toward destroying Israel. Hamas leaders Ismail Haniyeh and Yehya Sinwar, who joined the March 30 mass protests along the border with Israel, did not hide the real goal behind the 'March of Return' -- to destroy Israel and thwart US President Donald Trump's yet-to-be-announced plan for peace in the Middle East. The two Hamas leaders told the protesters that the March 30 demonstrations marked the beginning of a 'new phase in the Palestinians' national struggle on the road to liberating all of Palestine, from the river to the sea.' Haniyeh and Sinwar also made it clear that the 'March of Return' had another goal : to foil any attempt by the Arabs to make peace or normalize their relations with Israel. Hamas and its allies did not send the protesters to the border with Israel to demand jobs and medicine. They did not encourage Palestinians to risk their lives at the border with Israel because of the lack of electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip. Instead, the organizers sent the Palestinians to the border after assuring them that this was the only way to flood Israel with hundreds of thousands of Palestinian 'refugees' as part of the 'right of return.' " • The "right of return" refers to the Palestinian demand that Israel allow Palestinian "refugees" and their descendants to move to Israel. Zaher Birawi, one of the organizers of the 'March of Return' explained it this way : "The right of return is sacred and a red line not to be crossed. The Palestinians will do their utmost to achieve this right." Bassam Tawil says Zaher Birawi's words, together with those of the two Hamas leaders, "prove that the mass protests are aimed at forcing Israel to accept millions of Palestinian 'refugees' as a first step towards turning Jews into a minority in their own country. The next step would be to kill or expel the Jews and replace Israel with an Islamic state. Crucial here is the fact that what we witnessed along the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel on March 30 was not a protest by poverty-stricken and miserable Palestinians against a blockade of any kind. If that were so, why didn't the organizers ask Palestinians to march toward the border with Egypt? The real blockade on the Gaza Strip is being imposed by Egypt, and not Israel." Tawil makes his point : "In 2017, the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip was open altogether for less than 30 days; by contrast, the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip was open for more than 280 days during the same year. Israel enforces a naval blockade on the Gaza Strip that is meant to prevent Iran, Hezbollah and other terror parties from smuggling weapons into the coastal enclave controlled by Hamas. At the same time, Israel has kept its border crossings with Gaza for the movement of goods and individuals. Israel permits Palestinians to enter and leave the Gaza Strip through the Erez border crossing. Last month, the Palestinian Authority Prime Minister entered the Gaza Strip through the Erez border crossing, only to have his convoy targeted by a roadside bomb once inside Hamas-controlled Gaza. Israel also allows foreigners to enter the Gaza Strip through the same border crossing. They include journalists, diplomats, and hundreds of foreigners working for various international aid agencies, including the United Nations." BUT, states Tawil : "All this while the Rafah border crossing with Egypt remains closed. Since the beginning of this year, the Egyptians opened the border crossing intermittently only for two or three days each time. Egypt also continues to bar foreigners from entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah terminal. Even Arabs who want to help the people of the Gaza Strip are forced to enter through the Erez border crossing because the Egyptians do not give them permission to use the Rafah terminal." • Bassam Tawil asks a logical question : "Why aren't the Palestinian protests directed against Egypt? The answer is obvious. The Palestinians know that messing with the Egyptian army will cost them a heavy price. If Israel used snipers to stop the March 30 protesters from crossing the border, the Egyptian response would undoubtedly have been much tougher. The Egyptians would have used artillery and warplanes against the Palestinian demonstrators. The Palestinians are well aware that the Egyptian army would raze the entire Gaza Strip if the Palestinians breached the border and undermined Egypt's national security. Besides, the 'March of Return' is intended as part of the Palestinian national struggle against the "Zionist entity" -- Israel -- and has nothing to do with the closure of any border. It is part of the Palestinian jihad to eliminate Israel, which they see as a 'colonialist project' imposed on the Arabs by Western powers after World War II. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, in a rare moment of honesty, admitted earlier this year that this is precisely how Palestinians and Arabs perceive Israel." • Turning the the PA rejection of and Trump peace plan, Bassam Tawil qrites : "The Palestinians have proclaimed a wholesale rejection of Trump's plan because they know it will not advance their goal of turning Jews into a minority in their own country. Trump's plan, they believe, does not recognize the Palestinian 'right of return,' which means that 'refugees' and their descendants will not be allowed to move into Israel, turning it into an Arab-majority state." The "March of Return," says Tawil, is intended to send a message to President Trump and the US that the Palestinians will not accept any peace plan that does not include turning Israel into an Arab state, and to send asecond message to Arab states that they must not cooperate with or accept any Trump peace initiative. • • • PALESTINIANS WERE KILLED ON MARCH 30. The leaders of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the other groups that organized the mass protests are now complaining about the high death toll and accusing Israel of opening fire at "unarmed and peaceful" protesters. These are the same leaders who urged their people to head to the border with Israel and to try to force their way into Israel. These are the same leaders who encouraged their people to damage the security fence along the border with Israel. • As for PA president Mahmoud Abbas, his comments simply gave yet more proof of his unending hypocrisy. Hours after the violent confrontations along the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel, Abbas appeared on Palestine TV to hold Israel "fully responsible" for the violence and death and injury of the protesters. This is the same Abbas who recently called Hamas the terror group that was behind the March 13 botched assassination attempt on his prime minister. This is the same Abbas who last year imposed sanctions on the Gaza Strip by suspending payments for electricity supplied to the Gaza Strip by Israel and suspending payments to thousands of civil servants there. Instead of condemning Hamas for sending the Palestinians to clash with the Israeli army and endanger their lives, Abbas chose to denounce Israel for protecting its border. • The Palestinian "March of Return" is not, as some journalists and political analysts call it, a "peaceful and popular" drive by Palestinians demanding freedom and better living conditions. Palestinians' living conditions in the Gaza Strip could be improved if their fellow Arabs, the Egyptians, would open the Rafah border crossing and let Palestinians leave and allow Arabs and others to come and help the people there. Their lives could be improved if Hamas stopped building terror tunnels and smuggling weapons. In reality, the "March of Return" is nothing less than a declaration of war on Israel and the Trump administration. • • • WHY ARE THE MARCHES ON THE ISRAELI AND US BORDERS HAPPENING AT THE SAME TIME? Fox News reported on Sunday that President Trump declared the deal for the Obama-era DACA program was “NO MORE” and called for "tough" immigration reform after a report stated a caravan carrying more than 1,000 people from Central America is traveling through Mexico and to the United States in hopes of entering the states illegally or by asking for asylum. President Trump, who has vowed to end the Obama-created catch and release system, tweeted Sunday morning that Republicans need to take the "nuclear option" when passing tougher immigration laws. The President had given Congress six months to pass legislation legalizing Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA), which protects about 800,000 young immigrants brought to country illegally as children from deportation. But, the President is losing his patience. On Sunday, he tweeted : "“Border Patrol Agents are not allowed to properly do their job at the Border because of ridiculous liberal (Democrat) laws like Catch & Release. Getting more dangerous. 'Caravans' coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL!” • The caravan the President was referring to was first reported by BuzzFeed News last Friday. Organized by Pueblos Sin Fronteras, or People Without Borders, the caravan traveled through Mexico without authorization last week, according to BuzzFeed. Officials in Mexico have not attempted to stop the migrants, about 80% of them from Honduras. The group’s intent is to provide those people a safe way to travel to the US. • National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) union chief Brandon Judd told “Fox & Friends” on Sunday that the migrants are riding on the benefit of catch and release, when illegal immigrants are detained in the US and released while they await for their court hearings. President Trump also threatened to pull out of the free trade agreement with Mexico unless the country did more to stop the flow of illegal immigrants entering the US. The US, Canada, and Mexico are currently renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement at Trump's insistence. The President tweeted : “Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!....These big flows of people are all trying to take advantage of DACA. They want in on the act!” Before going to church on Easter, President Trump told reporters : "Mexico has got to help us at the border. If they're not going to help us at the border, it's a very sad thing between our two countries." • March organizers believe about two-thirds of the people in the caravan are planning to enter the US illegally or by asking for protection, according to BuzzFeed. The caravan does not give the migrants the guarantee they will enter the US and uses any form of transportation necessary to make it to the border. Judd told Fox : "First off, you have got a Mexican government entity that is assisting these individuals that are coming up to the United States. These individuals do not have passports or legal documents to be in Mexico, yet you got an agency that’s helping them get to our border.” Judd said border patrol agents do not have the ability to stop the migrants at the border even if they only step one foot on US soil : “Once they [the migrants] enter the country, even if we [border patrol agents] are standing at the border with our hands out saying, ‘Don’t enter, don’t enter,’ all they have to do is cross one foot into the border and we have to take them into custody. If they ask for asylum or say I fear to go back to my country, then we have to process them under ‘credible fear’ which allows them to be released into our country.” • President Trump has before demanded that Congress pass 'tough laws' and that Mexico halt would-be immigrants trekking toward the US. The President urged Congress on Sunday to pass “tough laws NOW” to build the wall and strengthen border security ahead of the arrival of a “caravan” of hundreds of Central American illegal immigrants walking across Mexico to reach the US. Trump last September rescinded the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program created by his predecessor's illegal executive order and gave Congress time to reach a legislative fix before the program officially ended. But Congress ahs struggled to reach an agreement on a DACA fix. While Democrats and many Republicans approve of offering amnesty to illegal immigrants brought to the US as children, Trump and conservative GOP members of Congress have refused to grant amnesty without securing Trump's key immigration enforcement objectives. Democrats balked despite Trump's offer to grant amnesty to 1.8 million illegals, far more than the estimated DACA total of about 800,000. Although Congress failed to reach an immigration agreement guaranteeing DACA amnesty and complete border wall funding before passing the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill in March, the bill included $1.6 billion in funding for some border security measures. President Trump rescinded the Obama DACA executive order becuase it was an overreach of executive authority. Then, Trump gave Congress six months to reach a legislative fix before the program officially ended. • Migrants, as they are euphemistically called in Europe, are illegal immigrants, occasionally called illegal aliens. The goal of Soros, Obama, Hillary, and the ProgDems congressional leadership is to force citizens of the United States into ignoring the law by agreeing to lump illegal immigrants into the same category as citizens, bypassing totally the fact that there are also legitimate immigrants. As long as US citizens go on quietly allowing the drive to accept illegal immigrants, including those protected by Obama under DACA, as being no different than citizens, along with the cry that the immigration laws of the US are broken, the influx of illegal aliens continues despite President Trump's hard work to put things in order. Laws remain intact, but enforcement of the laws is what is broken. • • • OBAMA, SOROS, AND HILLARY SUPPORT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND OPEN ORDERS. There are many indications that Barack Obama, both as President and now, and George Soros are helping the Palestinian Authority and illegal immigrant groups in the US. • Four years ago, Mexico claimed it had "absolute control of the southern border," but the planned stringent security checks appear to have broken down -- or been bypassed -- by the caravan of more than 1,000 Central Americans making their way through the country en route to the United States. The group, which is expected to reach the Mexico-US border by mid-April, has drawn the ire of President Trump, who on Monday blasted Mexico for not using its "absolute power" to stop the caravan : "Mexico has the absolute power not to let these large 'Caravans' of people enter their country. They must stop them at their Northern Border, which they can do because their border laws work, not allow them to pass through into our country, which has no effective border laws," Trump tweeted. Many of the border laws Trump was speaking about were passed after a surge of unaccompanied minors from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras passed through Mexico on their way to the US in 2014. The influx forced the Obama administration to enact emergency measures to stem the flow on its side of the border. Meanwhile, Mexico said it would also step up enforcement on its southern border, and planned to stop people from boarding freight trains while opening new border control stations. • President Obama gave a final gift to the Palestinians -- $221 Million -- just hours before he turned the White House over to President. Obama issued an executive order releasing $221 million in US taxpayer funds to the Palestinian Authority. The money had been set aside as part of an earlier budgetary bill that included funding to the Palestinian Authority via USAID. But congressional Republicans had blocked the transfer after the Palestinian leadership sought state-level recognition from various international bodies in violation of signed agreements with Israel. GOP lawmakers argued that the Palestinian Authority was creating obstacles to peace, and that the US government, which had brokered the aforementioned agreements, must hold the Palestinians accountable. But Palestinian Authority peace violations never bothered Obama. His parting gift to the Palestinians was seen as a final act of official support for their campaign against Israel, as well as a repudiation of President Trump’s stated Middle East peace policies. • In July, 2017, Mosaic wrote that : "the New York Times published an opinion piece by a far-left Israeli journalist named Mairav Zonszein arguing that the billionaire financier and philanthropist George Soros 'should be' -- but is not -- 'a darling of the Israeli establishment.' The obstacle : he does not offer 'unconditional support for [Israel’s current] government.' But, Mosaic says Israel is not concerned about Soros’s lack of 'unconditional support for the government.' Rather, it detests the fact that he provides millions of dollars to organizations that seek to boycott, isolate, and delegitimize Israel....Soros has given over $1 million to I’lam, a Palestinian media center that accuses Israel of ethnic cleansing and argues that 'the practical meaning of the Nakba,' an Arabic term for the creation of Israel, 'undermines the moral and ethical foundation of Zionism and, hence, of the state of Israel.'.... An NGO Monitor report from 2013 also revealed that Soros funds the Institute for Middle East Understanding and Mada al-Carmel, both of which call for international boycotts against Israel. He funds multiple organizations that specialize in suing Israel domestically and internationally, including Al-Haq, which is led by a senior activist of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, considered a terrorist organization by the United States....There is no mystery as to why Soros is despised in Israel : he is engaged in a campaign to subvert it from within and attack it from abroad. Soros’s foundation treats Israel like an adversary and a rogue state, to be targeted, pressured, and sanctioned. Soros has even publicly compared Israel to Nazi Germany, amateurishly contending that the victim has become the victimizer." • In January, illegal immigrant activists stormed the home of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the offices of Democrats demanding immediate amnesty for all 12 to 30 million illegal aliens in the United States, as well as the release of all illegal immigrants who are in detention centers for crossing the US-Mexico border illegally. Illegal aliens and open borders activists with “United We Dream,” a group that is partially funded by globalist billionaire George Soros, blocked off streets in Brooklyn, New York to protest Schumer’s vote to cave and reopen the federal government without an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens being included in the government funding bill. Illegal alien activists also stormed through the offices of Senator Mark Warner and Senator Marco Rubio, with one illegal alien who has been shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program taking issue with even the words “illegal immigrant.” • The Washington Times on October 20, 2016, reported that Hillary Clinton aligned herself closely with a vision for America laid out by her benefactor -- left-wing financier George Soros, who talks of “international governance,” more open borders, increased Moslem immigration and diminished US global power. The phrase “American exceptionalism” is not part of his agenda. He wrote in 1998 : “The sovereignty of states must be subordinated to international law and international institutions. We need some global system of political decision-making. In short, we need a global society to support our global economy," Mr. Soros wrote. After the Sept. 11, 2001, al-Qaida attacks on New York City and the Pentagon, he said : “Military power is of limited use in dealing with asymmetric threats such as terrorism.” The Clinton-Soros symbiosis came into clearer focus with the WikiLeaks release of thousands of hacked emails from John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign chairman. Soros‘ name comes up nearly 60 times. The financial and ideological alliance is so complete that after Soros dined with Mrs. Clinton in 2014 and asked her to attend a liberal group’s fundraiser, her campaign manager, Robby Mook, wrote in an email : “I would only do this for political reasons (ie to make Soros happy).” The Washington Times said in 2016 : "Americans should be concerned that a vote for Clinton is no different than a vote for George Soros for president,” quoting a Trump campaign advisor. The Washington Times reviewed Hillary Clinton’s private and public comments and said she has very much absorbed Soros‘ grand plan for the world, a blueprint that hangs under the title “open societies.” His New York-based Open Societies Foundation is at the center of his philanthropy and politics. WikiLeaks’ massive release of hacked campaign emails showed that in one of Mrs. Clinton’s paid speeches to bankers, she pledged to work for open borders. Her “dream” presumedly means that the southern US border would be a conduit for untold numbers of immigrants. “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders,” she told a closed-door audience at Brazilian bank Banco Tau in May 2013. Hillary said in 2004 : “We need people like George Soros, who is fearless and willing to step up when it counts.” • • • DEAR READERS, George Soros is persona non grata in his home country Hungary because of his opposition to the efforts of the current Hungarian govenrment to protect its borders from illegal immigrants. He has already helped to open wide the doors of Europe to millions of undocumented illegal immigrants. He and Obama have played hand-in-hand in the effort to eliminate US borders and allow millions of illegals into the US so that they can vote (illegally) for ProgDems. President Trump is getting very little help from Congress in his efforts to stem the tide of illegals coming into the US, including the latest caravan making its way from Central America through Mexico to the southern US border. And, now the Palestinian terrorists -- the Palestinian Authority and Hamas -- are trying to break down the borders of Israel so that a flood of Palestinians can eliminate the Jewish majority in their own Jewish Homeland. I cannot but help but think that there is aconnection between the Mexican caravan and the Palestinian March of Return. They both are characteristic of efforts of Soros-Obama supported groups determined to destroy the national governments of Israel and America -- the only two Western countries left whose borders have not already been decimated by the Globalist Progressives.
