President Trump Has Mastered the Swamp's Hot Buttons, and He Is Using Them to Keep His Promises to Americans

THE REAL NEWS TODAY IS ALL ABOUT PRESIDENT TRUMP WALLOPING THE PROGDEMS. The mainstream maedia isn't talking about it, but President Trump is beginning to be a magnet for Americans who are fed up with the violent, divisive tactics of the ProgDems. How is he doing it? By making America stand again for the things that most Americans support • THE OREGON RANCHERS PARDONED. TheHill reported on Tuesday that PResident Trump pardoned two Oregon ranchers at center of 40-day standoff. Their arson conviction became a focus for opponents of federal government land ownership, says TheHill : "Dwight Hammond, 76, and his son Steven, 49, were convicted in 2012 and sent to prison on arson charges. They had set a series of fires on their ranch that spread to federal land. The Hammonds’ case became the inspiration for the 40-day armed occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in 2016. The organizers wanted to protest federal land ownership. The Hammonds distanced themselves from the occupiers and didn't endorse the action." In the White House statement on Tuesday announcing the pardon, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders emphasized uncertainties in the case and the prison terms and fines the Hammonds had already complete : “The evidence at trial regarding the Hammonds’ responsibility for the fire was conflicting, and the jury acquitted them on most of the charges. The Hammonds are devoted family men, respected contributors to their local community, and have widespread support from their neighbors, local law enforcement, and farmers and ranchers across the West. Justice is overdue for Dwight and Steven Hammond, both of whom are entirely deserving of these Grants of Executive Clemency.” • That is a Trump decision that Americans can applaud. The federal land grab in the West that has made 80% of the land of 10 western states federal land subject to federal jurisdiction, instead the state's, is based on judicial misreading of constitutional texts about what lands shoudl bereserved for federal use. President Trump has taken one small step to right this wrong. • • • THE ARMY CONTINUES TO DISCHARGE IMMIGRANTS. The Christian Post report on Wednesday quotes the Associated Press claims that immigrant US Army recruits and reservists, many of whom have enlisted for a chance at citizenship, have been quietly and suddenly discharged : "With the Pentagon releasing their recruits quietly, the Associated Press was not able to determine exactly how many of the immigrant men and women have been shown the exit. So far, the number estimated by immigration lawyers run into the 40s or more and is expected to rise as more enlisted personnel gets discharged or placed under a questionable status. • This is about US Army recruits who were promised a pathway to citizenship through military service now face uncertainty after the suspension of a program called "MAVNI," launched by then President G. W. Bush after 9/11 to encourage enlistment with the US Army Reserve in a program called Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest, or "MAVNI" for short. President Bush as a way to bolster military efforts on the war on terror. MAVNI promised its recruits a fast track to citizenship, especially if they can demonstrate skills that the military desires, like fluency with certain languages or medical expertise, according to CBS News. • The program was SUSPENDED in 2016 UNDER PRESIDENT OBAMA, which coincided with the Army implementing more thorough screening processes for immigrant recruits. Margaret Stock, a former Army lieutenant colonel who helped design "MAVNI" and is now working as an immigration lawyer, told the AP : "They ordered so many background checks that they destroyed the program." • So, it seems; although the MSM is silent on the matter, that the Trump administration and US Army are just continuing the winding down of a program that was scrapped by Progdem President Obama. • Meanwhile, the Trump administration has extended the Temporary Protected Status for Syrians program for another for 18 months in order to prevent their having to return to a still war-torn Syria. That makes sense and protects those who are true refugees. • • • MEXICO'S NEW PRESIDENT SAY 'YES' TO BORDER FENCE IN ITS SOUTH. The TeaParty.org reported on Tuesday that Mexico will form a “border force” to contain illegal immigration from Central America, according to a statement by Mexican president-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador. The border force’s goal will be to curb the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs flowing into Mexico from Central America, and it will also be deployed to the northern border with the US, Lopez Obrador’s security chief Alfonso Durazo told Bloomberg. Durazo said : “We’re going to create a border police force that will be highly specialized. They need to apply the law.” Obrador, also called AMLO, faces a delicate situation of appearing to protect his own borders without mirroring President Trump’s hardline immigration strategy. Obrador also got a boost from pledges to protect Mexicans against an immigrant crackdown by US President Donald Trump,” Bloomberg reported, adding : “Now he’ll be faced with the unenviable task of securing the nation’s own untamed southern border, while avoiding the hard-line tactics he has criticized Trump for.” • Trump’s immigration policy is also centered on securing America’s borders, stemming illegal immigration and the flow of drugs, and deporting illegal alien criminals. Obrador’s nationalist position of protecting his nation’s borders is confusing at best, given he encouraged his own citizens to take advantage of America’s border crisis and “leave their towns and find a life in the United States” during his campaign. Obrador was elected as Mexico’s president last week with 53% of the vote, making him the first socialist to rule the country in over fifty years. • This news seems to be a step forward towaard the closing of America's southern borders with Mexico. If Obrador curtails significantly the northward flow of Central and South American in to Mexico, there will be fewer of them massing at the US southern border. While it shows yet another instance of President Trump's ability to move events in America's favor, don't expect the mainstream ProgDem propagandist media to report about it. That would require them to admit that President Trump is doing the right things. • • • YOUNG WHITE AMERICANS ARE SHIFTING TO TRUMP. The Conservative Zone reported on Wednesday that : "The reality that America is becoming great again under Pres. Donald J. Trump has been an absolute nightmare for Democrats, and another voting demographic is trending Republican. A recent poll released by Reuters/Ipsos shows that young white Americans who predominately voted Democrat in the 2016 election are switching affiliation at a significant rate. Reuters, one of the few news organization that holds its staff to a standard of impartiality, conducted a three-month poll earlier this year. The survey mirrored one done during the same time frame in 2016 and the numbers have changed significantly." Reuters/ipsos says that in 2016, young white Americans backed the Democratic Party at 47% to 33%. But with President Trump and the Republican economic policies in full swing, the voting interests of this demographic have vastly changed : "Approximately 9M of white voters between 18 and 34 have shifted their allegiance to the Republican Party. Young white professionals are graduating from college and technical institutions to find a vibrant jobs market rich with opportunity. Those already in the workforce are discovering robust wage increases and the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act sparked thousands in bonuses as companies enjoy rising tax incentives. The key words for white professionals have been 'economic growth.' " • The Conservative Zone reports that US GDP growth rate has been gaining steam and 2018 second quarter estimates are hovering around 4%, noting that : "Some are claiming it could go vertical to as high as 4.5%, which would be the fastest growth since the Great Depression. Others have it as low as 3.8%, which would still far outpace the sluggish Obama-era economy. During Obama’s last three years in office, his one-time quarterly high was only 3.2% with an annual GDP growth rate of only 2.9% in 2015. In 2016, the average dropped to a job-killing 1.5% for the year. What’s even worse is that in the first quarter of 2014, economic growth was in the negative -- at a minus 0.9%." • But, under President Trump and the Republicans, young white voting professionals are seeing a forecast that runs between excellent and record-setting because the swift pace of the economy upswing has presented Millennial voters with real opportunity -- higher paying jobs, expansion of companies, and a Democrat Party that wants to repeal the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. • And, it isn't just jobs that are making Millenials shift to Trump. Under President Trump, immigration reform and border security have become top priorities. Progressives have framed the issue as racial in nature in oder to divide hard-working citizens, but the fact that illegal immigration suppresses wages can't be hidden forever. Open-borders policies are advocated by the Democrat leadership that -- US House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Democrat front-runners for the Party's nomination for president in 2020 support mass illegal immigration. Think Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Kamala Harris. • Open borders and mass illegal immigration cause the most damage to non-college educated workers. Illegals are willing to undercut minimum wage standards and take jobs away from US citizens. With the economy booming, it would be against working Americans’ interests to vote for the Democrat Party that wants to give their jobs to illegal foreigners. The Conservative Zone says : "Democrats supporting upwards of 1.5 million illegal immigrants entering the country and taking away American jobs each year. In 10 years, that could reach 15 million unskilled labor jobs lost to foreigners. That’s why young white working-class Americans are turning their back on Democrats. While the Reuters poll shows a sharp decline in support among white Millennials, the overall numbers look even more dim for the left. During the run-up to the 2016 election, 55% of voters between 18 and 34 said they favored Democrats over President Trump. That number has declined to 46% with Republican support rising from 27 to 28%. In terms of the midterm congressional election, it’s now a dead heat at 39% for each party." Because these young Americans grew up in a lengthy recession, Democrats could fool them into believing that struggling with debt is an economic reality. But, says the Consrevative Zone : "The astonishing economic turnaround in less that two years managed by President Trump has shown them it doesn't have to be like that. Hard-working young Americans want the opportunities they deserve and they’re ready to vote Republican to get them." • • • PROGDEMS WILL HAVE A HARD TIME TAKING THE SENATE IN NOVEMBER. The Daily Caller reorted on Tuesday that : "Democrats are in for an uphill battle in November’s midterm elections as they struggle to overtake the GOP-led Senate, according to an Axios and SurveyMonkey poll of key states released Tuesday. Although Democrats only need to pick up two seats to gain the majority in the Senate, they are struggling to control 10 states already held by Democratic Senators. These states are now predominantly red states with voters who are strong supporters of President Donald Trump. They include Indiana, Missouri, Montana and North Dakota, all of which Trump won in 2016, while his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton couldn’t even win over 40% of voters in any of those states, according to a Politico report." And, states where Republican Senators are up for reelection seem to be slim pickings for Democrats, with Nebraska, Utah and Wyoming most likely a solid GOP win, according to polling data by RealClearPolitics. Democrats’ only hope will be to replace GOP Senator Jeff Flake from Arizona as he retires, while simultaneously defeating GOP Senator Dean Heller in Nevada. The Daily Caller says : "Midterm prediction polls show that...they will likely lose races in Nevada, Florida and Indiana, which will squash any chances of overtaking Republicans in the Senate races, according to the Axios and SurveyMonkey poll. The poll surveyed 12,677 registered voters from June 11 to July 2 with a margin of error of five percent. The poll suggests that 49% of voters would vote for GOP Governor Rick Scott over Democrat Senator Bill Nelson in Florida, 52% would vote for GOP Representative Kevin Cramer over Democratic Senator Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota, and 49% would vote for Republican Mike Braun against Democratic Senator Joe Donnelly in Indiana." • This is not to say it's in the bag, but with the usual GOP hard work and sufficient funding, which is not a problem this election period, the Republican Party will hold its lead in the Senate and possibly add to it. • • • DON'T LOOK NOW, BUT HILLARY IS GEARING UP FOR 2020. The UK Daily Mail recently wrote : "Now, with the President continuing to oversee an economic miracle...Talk emerges that Hillary is plotting her 2020 comeback.” The Guardian, another UK newsletter, interviewed Hillary Clinton and asked her if she had plans “to call it a day.” Clinton responded with, “It feels like a duty. It feels like patriotism, and it feels necessary. I’m not going anywhere.” • Adrienne Elrod, a former Clinton campaign strategist, made light of Clinton’s comments calling them nothing more than a “pipe dream. To be honest with you, I don’t know that a run this time around would yield a first- or second-place finish. I think there’s a lot of new people in the party who are stepping forward. I think we’ve got a very deep bench of strong candidates and she knows this....she knows it’s time for new faces and new leadership to step forward.” • The Daily Caller noted that Clinton’s recent actions indicate something more than a player content to remain on the sidelines or disappear into the woods a video after Trump’s win : "In recent months, Clinton has done little to avoid the limelight. While Barack Obama seems to have adopted a behind closed doors power broker approach, Clinton has made sure the camera never misses her. She has ramped her fundraising appeals and public presence using Trump’s ‘zero tolerance’ immigration policy as a platform to raise $1.5 million for various groups." • While most pundits discount the notion of Clinton running in 2020, and many doubt she could win the Democratic nomination much less wrest the presidency from Trump, there are several factors that make us wonder about another Clinton run. The Democrat wannabe list for the 2020 nomination will be the largest in years. Even if the aging Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden decide enough is enough and stay ou, the field of Democratic candidates will probably include Cory Booker, Eric Holder, Elizabeth Warren, Martin O’Malley, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, Andrew Cuomo, Terry McAuliffe, Mitch Landrieu, Deval Patrick, Eric Garcetti, and Maryland congressman John Delaney. That looks a lot like the 2016 GOP primary list, when Donald Trump picked off his opponents one-by-one with name recognition, swift and blunt challenges to his opponents, use of clever easy-to-remember nicknames -- who can forget Little Mario? -- and the stamina, will, and undying loyality of his voter base. Hillary Clinton has none of those things except name recognition, and it's name recognition that suits Al Capone more than a presidential candidate. Even husband Bill Clinton doesn’t seem to be happy with her continuing public appearances. But, Hillary has been bombarding supporters’ inboxes, railing against Trump’s ‘zero tolerance’ immigration policy with increasing ferocity. Hillary looks like a duck -- 'er, a candidate. And, the Washington Post recently offered scenarios that it believes might lead to a Clinton win and Trump loss. The porblem with hte WP and any other ProgDem attack is that to be noticed requires voicing the hope that Trump will fail, that he will take America into a new economic recession or an unpopular war, and that this will be how a ProgDem wins. That cna work with untested presidential candidates. But, all President tRump and his team will have ot do is present the facts -- and they are full of accomplishments that are incredibly supportive of his agenda and his right to a second term. But, persists the WP, with 15 or 20 Democrats in the primaries, it isn’t hard to imagine Hillary winning 30 to 40% in a Democrat primary while the others devour each other. Freedom News Report says : "Will she run again? Only Hillary and perhaps George Soros know for sure." • • • DEAR READERS, as he inches up to the end of his second year as President, Donald Trump is on his feet and running. He has mastered Washington politics and knows how to use the hot buttons. He has kept more promises than any President in history. He has turned the American economy around and it is now set, barring outside forces, to expand throughout his presidency. He has whipped NATO, Europe and the UN into shape and tossed aside as irrelevant the aspects of them that are outmoded. He has China's full attention both about trade and the Korean Peninsula. He will eliminate the North Korean nuclear threat by peaceful or other means, but he will eliminate it, be sure. And, he has now turned his attention to Iran, ready to challenge its terrorist regime, and to call Europe to account for supporting it. AND, Donald Trump has proven himself the most astute politician of his era -- not in the elite insider sense, but as the real and never-silent voice of Americans and their needs and dreams. He even has the new socialist president of Mexico talking about illegal immigrant fences. • I sure wouldn't want to run against him. Would you??
