Obama Sees His Job as President - Deliver Distasteful One-liners and Attack John Boehner

We've been folllowing the IRS targeting scandal and the unaccompanied children illegal entry situations this week. Let's get key updates on both. ~~~~~ (1). THE IRS SCANDAL. Two US federal judges have now ordered the IRS to answer questions about the targetong scandal. In a case brought by Judicial Watch, US District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan ordered the IRS to explain under oath how the agency lost emails from former division director Lois Lerner, the woman at the heart of the Tea Party targeting scandal. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton alleged there "has been a cover-up that has been going on." ~~~ And in another case brought by True the Vote, US District Court Judge Reggie Walton told Obama administration lawyers on Friday he wants to see an affidavit explaining what happened with Lerner's hard drive. The IRS claims her computer suffered a crash in 2011 that wiped her email records at the time clean. After the True the Vote hearing, group counsel Cleta Mitchell accused the IRS of playing a "shell game," by arguing that the plaintiffs could not prove any emails were lost. True the Vote brought its case to court after facing multiple inquiries and extra scrutiny from the IRS, the FBI and other federal agencies.True the Vote is now seeking a motion to speed up discovery and "preserve and prevent further destruction" of IRS emails and missing documents. The group also wants a forensic expert to investigate how the emails were lost and examine whether the data is recoverable. "The fact that the IRS is statutorily required to preserve these records yet nevertheless publicly claimed that they have been 'lost' appears to evidence bad faith," Mitchell wrote in a letter last month to the IRS. The two orders are another boost for those who question the agency's claims that many Lerner emails from that critical period are not recoverable. ~~~ Meanwhile, Texas Republican Representative Steve Stockman took things up a notch on Friday, filing a resolution directing the House sergeant-at-arms to arrest Lerner on charges of contempt of Congress. Attorney General Eroc Holder has thus far refused to arrest or proceed in a lawsuit against Lous Lerner. ~~~~~ (2). Senator John McCain angrily addessed the head of US Customs and Border Protection for a CBP policy restricting lawmakers from taking photos and interacting with people at facilities housing illegal immigrant minors. McCain demanded the rules be reversed "immediately." "I want it done today. You understand?" the visibly angry Senator ordered CBP Commissioner Kerlikowske at a Senate hearing on Wednesday, saying he "overstepped." The hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee was called to receive updates on the border crisis from key agency heads involved in handling the wave of illegal immigrant minors from Centra America. The tone of the hearing changed when McCain began questioning Kerlikowske on a memo described as "protocol for visitations and tours." McCain said it restricted the use of cell phones, and restricted contact between visiting lawmakers and the children, as well as the staff. "Am I allowed to bring a cell phone with me?" McCain asked. "Not to take photographs," Kerlikowske answered. Asked why not, the commissioner said the children "have a right to privacy." McCain said he might want to take a photo of something else, and the commissioner said they could make "arrangements" for that. Unsatisfied by the response, McCain cited other instructions restricting "physical or verbal contact" with children and with staff. Again, the commissioner said they could make "special arrangements" for visiting lawmakers. But McCain said that when he visited the Nogales, Arizona, center in June, he was advised not to speak with children or staff. The Senator said : "I view that as a violation of my responsibilities. I want it fixed, and I want it fixed immediately." McCain continued : "I'm not supposed to even carry a cell phone with me? You have overstepped your responsibilities and your authorities, sir." He called on the commissioner to immediately revoke the order. McCain has a history of tension with CBP. Last year, he and other lawmakers criticized the agency for reports that it spent millions of dollars on homes in southern Arizona for its personnel. The Arizona Republic reported they paid more than $600,000 each for homes in an area where houses typically cost under $100,000. McCain called the expense "disgraceful" and said people should be fired. ~~~ In the most serious citizen defense proposal to date, the Minuteman Project - the controversial civilian patrol that came to prominence a decade ago - is coming out of retirement to help tackle the illegal immigration crisis, with its epicenter along the Texas-Mexico border. The group, which patrolled parts of the 2,000-mile border from 2005 to 2010, acting as unarmed and unsanctioned eyes and ears of the Border Patrol, is trying to recruit a force of thousands to help keep illegal immigrants from making their way into the United States from Mexico. The Minutemen founder and president said they have named the project "Operation Normandy." It will take place over the next 10 months as the dormant group seeks to recruit and organize as many as 3,500 volunteers. ~~~~~ Dear readers, there is a pattern here. It is the absence of President Obama, except for those all-too-many occasions when he asks Congress for more money, that is, funds not provided for in the annual budget process. Barack Obama has apparently decided that his most important job as President is to raise money for the Democrat Party and to make distasteful jokes aimed at Republican members of Congress, but his shabby performance is in reality barely veiled attacks on the American constitutional balance of powers under which Congress and a President must cooperate. Obama has no intention of cooperating with Congress. He has decided that Americans are so gullible and stupid that tbey will actually believe him when he says he is doing his job but Congress is not doing its job. House Speaker John Boehner is right when he says : "He has been President for five and a half years. When will he take responsibility for something." Anything, we could add. Whatever Obama's hidden agenda is - and it well may be sinister - it is clear that Obama has decided to be President of the United States - do his job - with a string of one-liners and vicious personal attacks on John Boehner and the Republican House. That, dear readers, is the real stupidity. Obama has trashed the Office of President and thinks it's funny. Mr. Obama, you cannot "fool all of the people all of the time." Indeed, you are rapidly reaching the point where you cannot fool any of the people any of the time.

  1. We need to put aside our Pollyanna attitude about Barrack Obama doing the right thing or being "American" presidential, or ever telling the truth and not just how he see The Obama Doctrine (and he has one) in the big picture, and certainly his perception of what is good for the American citizen and their life style, and get on with the job of minimal primary in-fighting in the GOP and solidify our presidential candidate as early as possible.

A Mitt Romney type could then go out and pull no punches all dripping with sugar and decrative sprinkles all over the message. Telling the story of what Obama has brought down on our country and how we will forge the path to as quickly as possible get back to President Reagan's Shinning City on the Hill.

What is done in done. We can fix it. And we can stop this mart h towards "serfdom" that Obama has us so willing on.

  2. Unless you were living under a mushroom someplace, or for some unexplainable reason just stopped being involved in your countries (and your own) welfare we all had a pretty solid idea of what Obama was all about. Certainly we had no idea about all the scandals forth coming or the hard LEFT TURN he was about to make towards socialism and welfare for everyone.

But how in the world did we get taken in so easily in 2012. We had the most clear difference between the two candidates as we ever had. Obama and his socialistic break the system down to build something new, unproven, and not at all what Main Street America really wanted vs. tried and proven leadership in business, family life, honesty, love for his country I. Mitt Romney.

The choice was as simple to understand as black & white, right & wrong, good & evil. What were we thinking? Or were we at all thinking? Far too many citizens simply stayed home from the 2012 election process thinking that Mitt Romney was a shoe in after 4 years of Obama!

Any and all possible candidates that Obama get behind, endorses, and raise more liberal money for will be a carbon copy of what we have had for the past nearly 6 years now.

Wake up America and smell the Roses. If we get it wrong this time we may find Roses on the forbidden list- because in a socialistic state if we all can't have something then no one can have Rises.

Though the human mind is a most subtle instrument capable of grand and glorious things - what we have with Obama in the most straightforward lying we have ever been exposed to by a president.

He believes what he is saying, a d yet knows perfectly well at the same time it is all nonsense.

There is a passage in Shakespeare's King Lear spoken by Edmund the most evil son of the Earl of Gloucester ..."this is the excellent coppery of the world ... To lay his goatish disposition to the charge of a star." What be goes on about that all his evil doings was 't his fault but rather many others.

To an eternal a d universal temptation mankind finds it necessary to blame their misfortune on forces outside of their control. That's why Obama some 6 years down the road is still blaming President Bush for all his failures and misfortunes from his lying.

An entire class of uninformed or under informed citizen have bought into this tendency to the point that it makes their entire political outlook and does so with Obama's encouragement.

ThAt is how Obama got elected not once but twice. And left unchallenged will give Obama a loud voice in his replacement-which mea s more of the Sam folks

  5. Most if not nearly everyone (except Casey Pops and her loyal followers) seems to be the continuing granting Obama one more excuse after another. WHY?

He has a administration that is sordid for with one weekly scandal after another, one foreign policy error after another, one disgraced administrator after another, and one discovered lie after another.

Enough, foregiveness is great, admirable. But Obama is playing the American public on every scandal he has allowed and participated in.

If the first among us gets to cast the first stone ... Obama is way far back in the line
