The American Second Civil War between Progressive Globalists and Conservatives

THE REAL NEWS OF THE DAY IS THAT THE SECOND CIVIL WAR IN AMERICA IS ALREADY BEING FOUGHT. • There is nothing that Progressive Democrat and Republican leaders in Congress agree on. And, President Trump's Conservative supporters often do not agree with either the ProgDems or the GOP. • • • THE TRAVEL BAN. President Trump is growing impatient with the delays caused by unconstitutional restraining orders of Progressive federal judges appointed by President Obama. Trump criticized the Justice Department on Monday morning for pushing a “watered down” version of his original travel ban executive order, while also urging the DOJ to seek an expedited hearing in the Supreme Court to begin the ban's enforcement. Trump’s travel ban -- placing temporary restrictions on travel from several Moslem-majority countries -- has been blocked by several federal district and appellate courts since President Trump signed the original executive order in January. He signed a revised travel ban in March, and that was also blocked by federal judges, although the restraint of immigration from the countries listed in the Trump EO were also listed in an advisory Obama issued without any backlash. • On Monday morning, President Trump went on a multi-tweet offensive : "People, the lawyers and the courts can call it whatever they want, but I am calling it what we need and what it is, a TRAVEL BAN!....The Justice Dept. should have stayed with the original Travel Ban, not the watered down, politically correct version they submitted to S.C.....The Justice Dept. should ask for an expedited hearing of the watered down Travel Ban before the Supreme Court - & seek much tougher version!....In any event we are EXTREME VETTING people coming into the US in order to help keep our country safe. The courts are slow and political!” • Trump's tweets came after the Saturday night London attacks, and an increasing string of islamic terrorist assaults around the world. There is no Republican opposition to Trump's travel ban executive order, and his supporters are eager for it to be implemented, but both versions of the Trump travel ban prompted nationwide protests and fierce Democratic opposition. • Opposing and winning even temporarily in federal court against presidential powers such as control of immigration granted and enumerated in the Constitution are rare. But, President Trump's executive orders are routinely challenged in federal district and circuit courts where the majority of the judges are Progressive, and often appointed by Obama. The purely political attack on Trump's EOs is a game being played out by Progressive Democrats to deprive the President of his full array of presidential powers. It is only one example of the chasm that separates Progressive Democrats from Republican and Independent Conservatives as America's Second Civil War heats up. • Fox News' Gregg Jarrett raised a good point on Monday when he called for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to recuse herself from the Court's review of the Trump EO creating a temporary ban on immigration related to terrorism. Jarrett reminds us of Ginsburg's series of interviews last July, in which "she leveled disparaging comments about then-candidate Trump that were stunning and unprecedented for a sitting high court justice. In interviews with the Associated Press and the New York Times she remarked, 'I can’t imagine what the country would be with Donald Trump as our President. For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be -- I don’t even want to contemplate that.' Then she added that her husband would have declared, 'Now it’s time for us to move to New Zealand.' Days later, in a CNN interview, she said of candidate Trump, 'He is a faker. He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego. How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns?' ” Jarrett called Justice Ginsburg's comments "not only injudicious, but reckless -- especially given that Trump was about to win the Republican nomination days later and stood a chance of becoming the next President. Every justice knows that legal disputes involving the President and his decisions or orders will inevitably make their way to the Supreme Court." There is a federal statute that demands disqualification in such circumstances, 28 USC 455 : "Any justice...shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned. He shall also disqualify himself...where he has a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party.” Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz has taken it further to say she should recuse herself from all court cases involving President Trump. The Supreme Court's traditions objectivity and decisionmaking based soley on the law and the Constitution will be severely compromised should Ruth Bader Ginsburg decide she is above the law and beyond the scruples it demands. But, Ruth Bader Ginsburg is just one more example, highly placed to be sure, of the Progressive Democrat determination to destroy President Trump and the Conservative values he champions. • • • THE PROGDEMS FORCED THE APPOINTMENT OF A SPECIAL COUNSEL IN HOPES OF DESTROYING TRUMP. Jeffrey Ludwig wrote an article in American Thinker that suggests that even if Special Counsel Robert Mueller finds nothing wrong in Trump and his team's contacts with Russia, the Progressive Left will never accept that conclusion. Ludwig was considering the Wall Street Journal's article by Holman Jenkins that suggested the Democrats : "may be unpleasantly surprised" by Robert Mueller's investigation of Russia's election meddling. The investigation may backfire, and the illegal leakers who are passing along various tidbits of confidential interactions or messages to the press may be exposed. Further, the ability of the Russians to manipulate James Comey may be another outcome not desired by the Democrats or their anti-Trump accomplices in the press. The independent counsel may uncover the vulnerabilities of the vicious fifth column of Democrats and the MSM who are trying to bring down Trump and even the USA in the process." But, says Ludwig : "The fifth column dedicated to the overthrow of Donald Trump and of American political institutions will never accept a narrative that depicts its original narrative as false. It cannot be stressed enough or understood deeply enough that we have in the months of these attacks based on innuendo the emergence of a core of hatred of Trump and of the American system that elected him....the Democrats are not looking for truth....the drumbeat has been one of accusation....It is to undermine confidence in this administration and in the republic that elected Trump to office....denouncing Trump as subversive, as engaged in an incredibly complex and malicious cover-up, and as venal to the Nth degree since it is in support of longstanding financial interests in Russia by President Trump and his associates. The narrative is that in pursuit of wealth, Trump has coordinated an attempt to subvert the legal and foreign policy interests of the United States, and that he was trying to get elected on the back of covert Russian support against the Democrats, against Hillary Clinton, and against the world community of nations that depend on a more impartial US government." • American voters through the US system of constitutional elections and peaceful transfer of power rejected the unfounded allegations of the ProgDems and the MSM about Russian "collusion" by electing Trump. But, that has not stopped their attack or the hatred of Donald Trump and his voter-supporters that seek revenge against not only President Trump but against America for supporting him. Ludwig states : "They cannot believe it. They cannot accept it. They are reacting with the distemper of cornered rats or rabid dogs. Thus, since the Democrats and the MSM are operating out of a subversive and intemperate mindset, any assumption that they will quietly accept any conclusions that do not jibe with that mindset and 'go quietly into that good night' is not likely." • But, we should not forget that the ProgDems and their propagandist MSM and their now-former leaders Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have led their cause into defeat and disarray and near-collapse. More than 60% of US states are now governed by Republicans. The GOP won the House of Representatives in 2010 and the Senate in 2014, and now control the Executive Branch, too. Decades of left-wing deceit and politically correct manipulation of society and political processes are failing as they watch. Trump's election, says Ludwig, is a "definitive repudiation of decades of drift towards the left. Thus, Trump's ascendency to the presidency is not the final step to the restoration of America to its God-given identity as a constitutional republic supporting liberty, personal autonomy, responsibility, the sanctity of property, and the Bill of Rights. It is an announcement of events to come. That is the real reason for the spewing forth of so many unfounded, bitter accusations." • • • MEGAN KELLY'S TV RETURN ON NBC PROVES THAT PROGDEMS HATE TRUMP. First, we should say that Kelly's first Sunday Night show couldn't even beat the ratings of a rerun of 60 Minutes -- and we can also add that her trademark floozy dress got more comments than anything she said in what was billed as an important interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. • Breitbart's Aaron Klein reported on the interview, saying Kelly "espoused multiple conspiracy theories in her questions to the Russian leader. Here are four wild conspiracies contained in Kelly’s queries." First, Kelly stated inaccurately that 17 intelligence agencies concluded that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. She said, “President Putin, you have repeatedly and passionately denied that Russia was behind the interference with our American presidential election. But as you know, the consensus view in the United States is that you did. That’s what the 17 intelligence agencies concluded.” NOTE : The major anti-Trump talking point that 17 federal intelligence agencies concluded Russia interfered in the election surfaced last October, when Hillary Clinton stated the following at the third presidential debate: “We have 17, 17 intelligence agencies, civilian and military, who have all concluded that these espionage attacks, these cyber-attacks, come from the highest levels of the Kremlin. And they are designed to influence our election. I find that deeply disturbing.” Even James Clapper, Obama's director of national intelligence, twice affirmed in his May testimony before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee that the intelligence community’s assessments regarding alleged Russian interference were not the product of all 17 agencies but only three – the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National Security Agency (NSA) -- in a rapidfire drafting without circulation to all intel agencies that many intel experts have labeled "highly unusual." Second, Kelly repeated unsubstantiated, anonymously sourced news media claims that Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor Jared Kushner discussed the establishment of a secret back-channel with the Russians : “Among those under scrutiny is the President’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner,” Kelly told the audience. “At a meeting with Russia’s Ambassador last December, he reportedly tried to establish a secret communications channel with the Russian government.” Then, Kelly turned to Putin, not asking a question but stating her "facts" : “This is a proposal, a proposal by Mr. Kushner." Kelly was quoting the Washington Post -- who else -- which had printed an anonymous-source story that Kushner and Russia’s Washington ambassador discussed the possibility of establishing a “secret and secure communications channel” between Trump’s transition team and the Kremlin. NOTE : Kelly didn’t point out that Russian diplomats are known to deliberately place misinformation in communications they believe are being monitored, a fact noted deep inside in the WP article, allowing for the possibility that Kushner never actually asked for a back channel. NOTE : In fact, Kelly also failed to mention that her previous employer, Fox News, quoted a source saying it was the Russians -- not Kushner -- who broached the concept of creating a secure line for back channel communications. Finally, Kelly actually asked Putin two questions : "There have been questions in America about Donald Trump’s finances. He hasn’t released his tax returns. There have been questions about this secret Russian dossier, which he says is fake, but which purports to have blackmail information in it generated by the Russians. There have been questions about the communications between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign, all of which has Americans asking, “Do you have something damaging on our President?” NOTE : Then-FBI Director James Comey told the Senate Judiciary Committee in May that Trump’s finances and the conspiracy theory that the Russians possess blackmail information on Trump had nothing to do with the intel community's conclusions. Comey confirmed that the basis for the intelligence community’s assessment that Russia’s Putin allegedly wanted Trump in office was not because he was, as Senator Al Franken claimed without citing any evidence, “ensnared in” Russia’s “web of patronage.” Instead, the FBI chief provided two primary reasons for Russia allegedly favoring Trump over Clinton during the 2016 presidential race. One reason, according to Comey, was that Putin “hated” Clinton and would have favored any Republican opponent. The second reason, Comey explained, was that Putin made an assessment that it would be easier to make a deal with a businessman than someone from the political class. When pressed by Franken about Trump being "ensnared in their web of patronage,” Comey starkly replied : “That was not the basis for the IC’s assessment.” And, in fact, it now seems that Comey himself relied on a fake Russian communique as his reson to start the Russian investigation in the first place. NOTE : More to the point, Breitbart's Klein states that in testimony before the House Intelligence Committee last month, former CIA Director John Brennan refused to answer a question in an unclassified setting about whether the Russians possess damaging information on Hillary Clinton that was not revealed during the 2016 presidential campaign. • • • PUTIN GAVE KELLY THE KILLER RESPONSES. Russian President Vladimir Putin has denied he had any compromising material about President Trump : “Well, this is just another load of nonsense.” Putin also told NBC's Kelly he had no relationship with Trump and had never met him, regardless of Trump’s previous travel to Russia as a businessman. Putin noted that executives from perhaps 100 American companies were currently in Russia : “Do you think we’re gathering compromising information on all of them right now or something?” THEN, Putin hit NBC and Kelly with a knockout punch : “Have you all lost your senses?” • Yes, President Putin, American Progressive Democrats and their lapdog mainstream media have lost their senses and their respect for political rules and journalistic objectivity. They are engaged in a witch hunt to bring down President Trump, his Conservative supporters, and the American constitutional Republic. • • • DEAR READERS, Fay Voshell wrote recently in American Thinker : "However, the truth is that President Trump was duly elected and put into office by the Americans who voted for him. He did not seize the office. He was not put there by a coup. He is the legitimate President. For those who believe the wrong person is in office and that a great pretender is living in the White House, it is high time to remember we do not live under an aristocracy but under the rule of the Constitution of the United States. We do not believe in aristocratic succession to the presidency." But, that is just what ProgDems do not believe -- they live to aggrandize their elites -- Obama, Hillary, Schumer, Pelosi, De Blasio, Kerry, Sanders, Warren. They do not believe in constitutional voting and accepting voter decisions. They believe in giving unfettered, uncontrolled power to their elites. To hell with the Constitution and the Republic. The Progressive elites know best -- pay your ever-incresaing taxes, forget about ever getting a good job, accept the non-existence of medical care under whatever the next Obamacare will look like, and shut up or you will be harassed into oblivion. • The real reason they want Trump's head has nothing to do with Russia or his tax returns. It has everything to do with President Trump's desire to protect Americans from illegal immigrants and from 'refugees' who may be terrorists, his desire to create jobs and to provide affordable healthcare, his desire to thank Vets by looking out for their needs, his support for Christian values, his effort to drag Black Americans --many of them kicking and screaming -- off the ProgDem plantation they have been forced to inhabit for a century while being treated as inferior souls who need a welfare state to look after them. That is one of the greatest evils perpetuated by these vultures who prey on any group who still might be fighting its way up the social and economic ladder -- Blacks, Latinos, Hispanics, women, LGBTs, and any other group they can dupe, or create in the future. • That is the American Second Civil War in a nutshell. But, showing a beheaded image of President Trump will not win the war for Progressive Democrats, who, like Robespierre of the French Revolution Terror, will have to guillotine all of us who are Conservative citizens of the United States of America. • And, as at all important milestones, we turn to the Founders and to Thomas Jefferson, their voice, who wrote in the Declaration of Indepencence : "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed....And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor." • It will take more than a villainous collection of Progressive Democrats and their mainstream media to undo our immortal pledge.

  1. I have been a religious reader if Casey Pops fir the what last 5 years now. Never miss a single day.

    Certainly there are postings that live longer fir be, and some that never fade. The last 3 days are certainly in the latter category.

    I am an avid student of President Lincoln. He is the great turning point in this countries potential. He fought a war against his own in order to preserve the country he deeply loved. War was a disgusting venture for Lincoln. It struck at every notion he held dear. But fight he did and preservation of the dream of Thomas Jefferson and 56 other Founding Fathers was his motivation.

    Lincoln would be appalled at what has happened to his Republican Party. And what is happening to the world today in the name of religion would have killed his soul.

    And aren't we readers of Casey Pops so very fortunate to have at our finger tips 6 days a week, week in and week out, today's & yesterdays nuances of the intertwining of events that have once again placed the United States of America in the drivers seat of quiet possibly the last stand for what Jefferson and Lincoln gave their all to create and preserve.

    Casey Pops we are all wiser because of you and your unimaginable hard, dedicated work to present the truth and preserve the Union by connecting the dots for us.

  2. What a leap in connecting what Jefferson and his fellow Founders gave the world, how Lincoln preserved their ideas, to what seems today to be the collapse of it all thereby dragging any resemblance of democracy worldwide with its fall.

    Much like the problem that Lincoln had with his cabinet - all thinking they were better suited to be President than he (Lincoln) was, thus creating a go it alone quagmire for Lincoln to govern effectively all the while fighting the divisive Civil War - thus is the substance that is plaguing Donald Trump.

    Certainly he has appointed his Cabinet. But as history has shown us many times the 'colors' of a man or woman is not always identifiable until they are under fire.

    Now we hear that Jeff Sessions may resign as AG. Politicians need to remember that at times "half a loaf of bread is better than no bread." And we are inching closer to no bread as the world approaches a serious crossroads in its existence.

    Donald Trump needs loyal (to him and his cause) fighters with him Gingrich, Christy, etc.

  5. If you haven't read the Declaration of Independence in a while, it may strike you as a bit repetitious. People tend to remember the first and last few lines — the one's with the big important ideas on liberty and equality "[w]e hold these truths to be self-evident ..." but usually forget the long, repetitious middle.


    The meat of the great document is the middle is called the Bill of Indictment. It consists of a laundry list of grievances against King George, and represents the colonists' justification for declaring independence from the British crown. A major point of the Declaration is to argue the colonists' case for independence before the world — "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another ... a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation." When it comes to the actual declaration of independence, it is a single run-on sentence near the end.


    The Bill of Indictment makes for interesting reading ( not as much as Casey Pops, but interesting none the less) because it sets the boundaries beyond which the signatories felt a people should not be forced to endure. In it are the kernels of the Bill of Rights, "[f]or Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us," "[f]or depriving us ... of Trial by Jury", and other injustices ranging from outright attacks, "[h]e has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns ...", to simple governmental neglect, "[h]e has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance."

    Measured against the colonists' grievances against the British Crown, our current dissatisfactions with Washington seem petty and trite by comparison. The signers also complained about an unresponsive and ineffective governmental structure — something we can all sympathize with — but even here it is evident that what they are complaining about isn't just the slow wheels of government, but in not having any say in the matter. Greeted with a list of our grievances, the original signers would likely remark, "You live under a representative form of government. If you don't like your laws, then change them!"

    While we may rant and rail against Washington, I think maybe our greatest disgruntlement isn't really against our government, but against our fellow citizens. Yes, the federal government has it problems and that problem may be too many citizens standing on the sidelines, not being involved, not voting, not staying current on current affairs, not really doing anything that the Founders and Lincoln thought necessary for the survival of our government.

    But, we — the people — often speak confusingly and at cross purposes. And so, more often than not these days, the body politic has fallen into factional fighting rather than seeking the common good. For some, factional loyalty has become so strong that if they can't have it their way, they'd rather see the whole enterprise fail.

    The Founders saw what they had achieved as a grand experiment, and even made predictions on how long it would last. The United States has exceeded their wildest dreams, partly because of the government they conceived, but to a larger extent on each generation's determination to make our republic endure.

    So if you don't like what is happening to the United States of America today, if your dissatisfied take the next step with us who wanted change and helped elect Donald Trump. Change Washington DC, change your state government.

    Thomas Jefferson once wrote that a citizens rebellion every 20 years or so would be healthy for the Republic. We are long overdue friends.

    We are in a very long protracted war which seem to have no visible end in sight or no visible solution to end it. Islamic radicalism must be treated as a war just as King George was to the colonists and session/slavery was was to to Lincoln.

    Islamic Fundamentalist have been active in our mist since the Munich Olympic massacre in 1972 - 45 years.
