Grassroots Populist Groups in America, Like the Alt-Right in Europe, Oppose Progressive Elites to Fight against Radical Islam

THE REAL NEWS OF THE DAY is that last Saturday peaceful rallies in 28 American cities, organized by the national security organization ACT! for America, attracted support in cities such as Phoenix, Chicago, Austin, Atlanta, New York, Boston, and Seattle. • • • WHAT IS ACT! FOR AMERICA? Its website says it is the largest grassroots national security organization in the United States, with more than half a million members in 1,000 local volunteer groups who have helped pass 12 federal and 80 state laws that confront terrorism, perserve the Constitution, secure the borders, work ofr energy independence, protect the rights of women and children and stand with Israel. • ACT! for America has a biography of founder and president Brigette Gabriel, an American Christian born in Lebanon, on its website, which quotes Gabriel : "Organized power at the grassroots level will trump the voices of political correctness." ACT! states that Gabriel is a leading terrorism expert, providing information and analysis on the rise of global Islamic terrorism, and lecturing nationally and internationally about terrorism and current affairs. Her expertise is sought after by world and business leaders, according to the ACT! website -- she has addressed the United Nations, Australian Prime Minister, members of The British Parliament/House of Commons, members of the United States Congress, The Pentagon, The Joint Forces Staff College, The US Special Operations Command, The US Asymmetric Warfare group, the FBI...she is a regular guest analyst on Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC, and various radio stations daily across America....she serves on the board of advisors of the Intelligence Summit. Gabriel is named one of the top 50 most prominent speakers in America. ACT! says some of its most active members are veterans, who give much of their time and effort mobilizing and educating their community, as well as active service men and women. As an organization dedicated to protecting the United States of America, ACT! states that "our support and admiration for this nation’s military is unparalleled." • • • ACT! RALLIES AGAINST Sharia. A press release from the ACT! for America website reads : "This is a march against Sharia law and for human rights. Our nation is built on the freedom of religion -- a pillar of our democracy -- which we must always respect, protect, and honor. However many aspects of Sharia law run contrary to basic human rights and are completely incompatible with our laws and our democratic values." • But, that didn't stop a number of counter-demonstrations on Saturday, and many marches were disrupted by Progressive protesters, who accused participants of “Islamaphobia” and fueling hatred against Moslems. While the rallies included chanting against the strict Sharia law that radical Moslems and their Imams are trying to install in not only the US, but all over Europe, protesters tried to drown out their chants. In Germany, France and Britain, communities with radical Moslem populations enforce Sharia, and, since police do not try to prevent Sharia enforcement, women and children are treated in ways that are opposed to Western democratic ideals. • • • HOW THE ACT! RALLIES PLAYED OUT. In Seattle on Saturday, protesters could be heard singing : “No hate, no fear, Moslems are welcome here.” as footage showed the protesters physically flooring a Trump supporter at the rally. • Several people were arrested after fights broke out at the ACT! rally at Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, although nobody was injured, according to local reports. It was peaceful until the anti-Sharia ACT! group attempted to exit the building. Angry words, pushing and shoving followed on the Capitol steps, with state troopers intervening to separate the groups. Officers’ attempt to escort the anti-Sharia ACT! group across the Capitol lawn failed when counter-protesters followed, with one breaking through and kicking a member of the anti-Sharia group. This was followed by more attacks when officers escorted the group through a building across the street from the Capitol. Upon exiting, another counter-protester initiated another fight. More troopers were called in to restore safety, and five or six people were placed in squad cars, according to local reports. • Reuters reported a heavy police presence at the Pennsylvania state capitol in Harrisburg, as barricades and police mounted on horses separated two groups of approximately 60 protesters. Counter-protesters were reportedly “dressed in black masks and hoods” and could be heard chanting, “No Trump, no KKK, no Fascist USA.'” • • • NEW YORK WAS THE EPICENTER. In New York City, protesters attempted to drown out the chanting of the anti-Sharia march with air horns and banging pots and pans. Video footage from the event showed protesters launch urine towards Canadian conservative journalist Lauren Southern. Alex Rubinstein tweeted : "Was trying to interview Lauren Southern on her blocking a refugee boat to Libya when #antifa ran up, kicked her out & threw pee at her." Lauren Southern later told Breitbart : "Out of nowhere liquid was splashed onto my face from one of the masked individuals in the crowd. It got all in my eyes and over my face and totally reeked. The first two seconds were a little horrifying because I wasn’t sure if it was an acid attack.” • Vice co-founder Gavin McInness, who has devoted his time to being the leader of a conservative group called Proud Boys and is a self-described “Western chauvinist,” headlined the New York event. McInnes said : "The left has chosen radical Moslems as allies." He describes Proud Boys as a "pro-Western fraternal organization" for men who "refuse to apologize for creating the modern world." The group has been referred to as Alt-Right, but McInnes describes the alt-right as "too far" because they think "Whites are what [are] important, not necessarily Western values," and instead identifies Proud Boys as "Alt-Light." McInnes states that Proud Boys will welcome anyone "as long as you accept the western world as the best." Proud Boys recently held a free-speech demonstration in Boulder, Colorado, and several hundred counter-protesters protested -- what? free speech? • Also speaking at Saturday's NYC event was Frank Morganthaler, the vice-president of the New York chapter of the conservative group, the Oath Keepers, a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders, who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Oath Keeprers declare that their oath, mandated by Article VI of the Constitution itself, is to the Constitution, not to politicians, and Oath Keepers that they will not obey unconstitutional orders, such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct warrantless searches, or to detain Americans as “enemy combatants” in violation of their ancient right to jury trial. Oath Keepers reaches out to both current serving and veterans to remind them of their oaths, to teach them more about the Constitution they swore to defend, and to inspire them to defend it. Oath Keepers also includes “Associate Members,” which the group defines as patriotic citizens who have not served in uniform but who serve now by supporting this mission with their Associate Membership and volunteer activities. • • • WHO DENOUNCED THE ACT! RALLIES? On Thursday, five Democratic members of the House of Representatives, including Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee Representative Keith Ellison, denounced the marches, calling them "hateful." Ellison held a press conference at the US Capitol before the rallies and said : “We call on Donald Trump, President Steve Bannon, and everybody else to stand up and denounce this hateful activity.” Corey Saylor, director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ anti-Islamophobia department said : "Act for America is a hate group. Period. Its rallies are hate marches. Full stop. We encourage all Americans who value religious freedom and reject bigotry to take part in peaceful and lawful local activities challenging these hate rallies." BUT, we should note that CAIR has been on the US terrorist list and has close ties to the Moslem Brotherhood. • The Washington Post reported that : “The marches set up the potential for more public clashes between far-right activists and their far-left opposition, similar to recent violent encounters between the political extremes in Berkeley, California, and Portland, Oregon. While demonstrators argue they are protecting free speech and defending traditional American values, counter protesters say the marchers underscore a larger trend of intolerance that is increasingly evident across a politically divided country.” However, the WP made no mention of the fact that it is the Progressive Democrat Left who are trying to shut down free speech by forcing conservatives out of universities, by spreading lies against constitutionally elected President Trump, and by continuing a witch hunt against the President, accusing him with absolutely No Evidence of collusion with Russia to win the election and of obstruction of justice, which has been denied by every Democrat official in Washington, either in sworn testimony or in media interviews. • ACT! was also accused by the Southern Poverty Law Center of disseminating “lies and fallacies about Moslems to spread fear about the religion.” An SPLC spokeswoman said : “ACT demonizes all Moslems as terrorists who want to subvert the political system in this country.” BUT -- ACT! disputes the charge, saying it condemns bias against religious groups and is “proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with peaceful Western Moslems as well as peaceful Moslems worldwide. ACT for America has never, and will never, tolerate any bias, discrimination, or violence against anyone, based on their religion, gender, race, or political persuasion. Freedom to practice one’s religion in peace is afforded to each of us by the U.S. Constitution and we will continue to defend it vigorously,” the group’s website says. • Ellison and his ProgDems also did not mention the fact that ACT! for America even disavowed its planned Saturday march in Arkansas when it “became aware that the organizer is associated with white supremacist groups. This is against all of our values,” a message on the ACT! website read. “Any event held by this individual is not sanctioned by ACT for America, and is not supported or endorsed by ACT for America in any manner. We stand firmly opposed to any actions by individuals or organizations that seek to attack or intimidate based on race, religion, or sexual orientation. Our June 10th nationwide marches are in support of basic human rights for all -- and against the horrific treatment of women, children, and members of the LGBTQ community that is sanctioned by Sharia law.” • • • WHO SUPPORTS ACT! FOR AMERICA ? After 129 national and local organizations signed a letter urging city mayors to condemn the marches, emphasizing the fact they take place during the Moslem holy month of Ramadan, the ACT! rallies went on -- to “increase awareness about certain practices that are starting to happen in our country with the rise of Islamic immigration,” said Brigitte Gabriel, head of ACT! for America. Gabriel has undertaken a campaign against what she says is the threat posed to the US by radical Islam. ACT! for America has had the support of prominent US legislators, including Senator Ted Cruz (who spoke at an Act event in September 2016) and Representative Peter King. General Michael Flynn is a member of the group's board. And, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Louisiana, Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Tennessee have already enacted laws prohibiting the use of foreign law in state courts, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. • • • Sharia AND FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION. Before the rallies, Gabriel posted a Facebook video, saying : "We are not going to allow Sharia lifestyle in America, or your leaders preaching hate and mosques harboring terrorists." In the video Gabriel links acts of terrorism, female genital mutilation, and honor killings to radical islamic support for Sharia. Gabriel stated : "We will not let their phony cries of Islamophobia prevent us from standing up for our nation and for true human rights. The women’s suffrage movement fought for our rights, not so you can genitally mutilate young American girls in the name of culture or religion, or kill women in the name of honor in Texas, Georgia or New York.” • There is evidence that Sharia rules are being privately enforced in some Moslem enclaves in the US, such as the Cedar Riverside community of Minneapolis, where police have been made aware of a team of “Sharia cops,” according to WND. Some Moslems have complained about the Sharia cops to Minneapolis police, but have received little support. Examples of Sharia in America include not only FGM, which is now known to be practiced throughout Moslem communities in Minnesota, Michigan and possibly other areas of the US with heavy Moslem populations, but also honor violence and honor killings -- examples are presented on the ACT! For America website. • BUT, the US Department of Justice recently announced the cases of FGM to be prosecuted in America, with charges filed against two doctors in the Detroit area. The two doctors are believed to have mutilated the genitals of an estimated 100 or more girls, most between the ages of 6 and 8, according to a recent story in the Detroit News. Jumana Nagarwala is one of two Moslem physicians in the Detroit area accused of secretly performing FGM on girls ages 6 through 8. The attorney for Nagarwala argued in a pre-trial hearing that her client was not violating any laws because she was merely practicing her religion under the protection of the First Amendment. According to the federal criminal complaint filed in Michigan, the surgery is performed “to suppress female sexuality, reduce sexual pleasure and curb promiscuity.” The FGM procedure has been illegal in the US since 1996 and there are no health benefits for girls and women, according to the World Health Organization. • • • MISUSE OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT. It is an outrage to try to pervert the First Amendment to support Female Genital Mutilation. An Outrage. • But, that is how radical Islam proceeds. Ami Imani of American Thinker writes that radical Islam : "establishes mosques and uses them to indoctrinate and radicalize young Moslem men, teaching them the principles of jihad and martyrdom....then they elect radical Moslems to all positions of local influence, who will create and enforce policy according to the Koran....once they have control over a town, they will begin to establish informal Sharia, with little government interference....using Sharia, the radical leaders control their populations by force, intimidation, and punishments for offenses to Allah." And, Imani is right when he says : "Already, in many European countries, national governments have, out of fear, given Islamic fascists the right to establish their own shadow governments within the borders of countries like Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, and England, where they can control their own populations without accountability. Proposals for Sharia are being taken seriously by Canada." • It is time to realize that not all groups that are a part of a religion are the same. If a religion contains a group that does not recognize the constitutional rights of others, that group -- not the entire religion -- must lose its rights under the First Amendment. If radical Islam seeks exemption from national laws protecting constitutional rights, then it must not be considered a religion but a political group. It cannot be protected under the First Amendment. • An online comment from a New Zealander sums it up pretty well : "I have yet to hear a single balanced, well-thought out argument for either side of this debate. On one side you have the anti-Moslem nutjobs who don't know the first thing about the religion, and on the other you have the bleeding heart idiots who think that no one's religious or cultural practices should be open to scrutiny or criticism no matter how bad they are because 'That's racist.' Personally, I don't give a toss what religion you practice so long as you adhere to the fundamental principle of HARM NO-ONE. The moment you cause harm, I don't care if it's your religious or cultural belief, get the f--k out." • • • DEAR READERS, even more interesting about the ACT! rallies and their "Alt-light" support from Proud Boys and Oath Keepers is the similarity to the way the Alt-right movement started in Europe. It began as groups of protesters in Germany, the Netherlands and eastern Europe protesting against the open-door policies of Chancellor Merkel and the EU that permitted Germany and other EU countries to be flooded with unvetted and sometimes violent migrants posing as refugees. These migrants were mostly young men from Syria and north Africa who brought with them radical Islam and Sharia. Europe has been struggling to deal with these non-assimilable immigrants who are neither democratic nor interested in becoming westernized. Their violence against women, children and Christians, both European and immigrants, is well-documented. • The Alt-right touched a hot button in Europe and soon more EU citizens were joining their marches. Some of these Alt-right groups are now formal political parties and have joined the older French Front National in fighting against the violent disruption and destruction of European culture and Christian religion. Consider that Alt-right parties in Europe are now polling at 10% to 35% in local and national elections. Alt-right is a misnomer coined by European Progressive media to disparage the populist, grassroost nature of the citizen protests. So, when Proud Boys says it is "alt-light," it is really saying that it is not extremist but populist and democratic. We should pay close attention to this new phenomenon in America -- it could well be the beginning of the grassroots rejection and counter-punch against Progressive elites and their open-border anti-American effort to dilute and destroy US democracy through the back door of radical Islam.

  1. As Ami Imani of American Thinker writes that radical Islam : "establishes mosques and uses them to indoctrinate and radicalize young Moslem men, teaching them the principles of jihad and martyrdom....then they elect radical Moslems to all positions of local influence, who will create and enforce policy according to the Koran....once they have control over a town, they will begin to establish informal Sharia, with little government interference....using Sharia, the radical leaders control their populations by force, intimidation, and punishments for offenses to Allah."

This is their Number 1 rule in the playbook to take control of America, and essentially is in full swing in European & EU countries. Embedded in the power structure of a society that has possibly tired of resistance and feel being conciliatory is the best road to travel.

The pendulum is far, far from swing back to our position. Radicle Islamic worshippers and followers are in the drivers seat in Small Town, Any Country and understand that the "PC" community in the west is unwilling to make a stand.

The Political Correct crowd, the Internationalists, the Progressive Socialists, the current generation of the Deep State activists, the Diversity Now proponents all believe their radicle views are healthy and necessary for the Democracies and Republics of the West - never harboring a hint that they are aiding and abetting the enemy.

  2. I am a great believer in the writings of Sir Edmund Burke. His philosophies on Man and Natural Laws are perhaps the best exhaustion of the subject.

The Colonists came to America because of these Laws of Nature. As Burke wrote ..."Had the French followed the example of nature rather than reason, they would have stood with the Americans and the English as great examples of manly virtue and Liberty"

Today Burke would possibly say about the Islamic terrorists ..."hating all that came before and dreaming of every possibility the mind can conjure, they have captured, ironically, nothing “beyond the vulgar practice of the hour,” they behave not as civilized men but as savages, shielding their lust under the name of reason. Had they behaved according to eternal truths, they would “have shamed despotism from the earth.” Instead, by despising what has come before them. As to the right of men to act anywhere according to their pleasure, without any moral tie, no such right exists.

My point is that man has a duty and responsibility to act responsible to each other and if one subset decides not to then there is a right or obligation of others in the community of man to rectify their actions.

Radicle Islam and all who practice their drawn actions from the Koran have a right to expect reprisals.

We are faced with boundless hate and evil to a level not seen since Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot in recent history.

It is now up to us to either carry out our responsibilities under the Laws of Nature, or do we surrender all that the Creator of the Universe and all that is in it?

  3. Are these groups the modern day answers to Resistance groups from WWI & II, citizen militias, the private armies of African War Lords, or even the Ninjas that served the Japanese Emperors of years past?

Has the defense of freedom and Rights come down to loosely organized idealist trying their best to defeat a blinded religious sect following the words of a self claimed prophet from 800 years ago?

Don't misunderstand it's good to have these groups around. But, can they possibly be a deterrent to the murderous groups similar to ISIS?

Defense of our country will require a well coordinated effort, not roving bands of once great soldiers.

  4. Thomas Jefferson once hinted in a letter to a friend that "rebellion" of the governed every 20 years or so would be "healthy" and 'strength-in' the Republic.

I don't believe that anyone ever tied him down to his exact definition of a rebellion, nor did he ever explain to what level he was speaking of. But as the conversation and the social disconnect of various citizenry groups are concerned secession is the form being kicked around in a few State capitals for a variety of logical/illogical reasons.

But, the hard true facts remain that at no other time in our short history has the United States ever been as divided on as many topics as we are today. All this leading to a "NO CONFIDENCE" vote in all government, and governments overreach into the daily lives of each and every citizens life.

People want les government than government seems willing to hear about. We The People never wanted 'professional politicians' in charge - and in charge they are.

We are being strangled by regulations, an out if date tax code, involvement in regional & civil wars that in 15 plus years has not moved the envelope down the raid fir those caught up in the war at all. We pay more than 50% of the tab for the United Nations that are part and partial against democracy v socialism.

The road we are traveling is not the road that Thomas Jefferson and his 56 other Founders ever imaged us to be on.

This weekend there were rallies in numerous American cities by people of varying faiths. They came together to warn that Sharia law is something America should resist because it is incompatible with our constitutional rights, including our First Amendment rights of free speech and religious liberty.

In several cities, the attendees were attacked by progressive thugs. The controversy in the media was not the attacks against peaceful rallies. The controversy was that so-called ‘bigots’ were being allowed to demonstrate against Sharia law.

Of course, the great irony is that if Sharia law were ever instituted in America, the lifestyles and social mores of millions of progressives would be illegal.
