WE THE PEOPLE Celebrate the Inauguration of President Donald Trump

WE THE PEOPLE -- We who were forged in revolution and confirmed by civil war; We who are the children of the Founders who left us a Constitution that honors individual liberties, constrained government and personal responsibility; We who for 228 years have protected our constitutional Republic from external and internal enemies; We who have undertaken to lead a world yearning for the human rights delineated by our Constitution; We who have seen the fraud of partisan political elites who try to steal our rights by destroying our Constitution -- WE THE PEOPLE-- We, today, January 20, 2017, honor the peaceful transition of power to the duly elected President of the United States; We reject the tactics of mobs who would suppress our liberties by calling us deplorable racists and bigots when we are in fact patriots who seek to save our Republic; We reject the call of elites who tell us we are no longer able to govern ourselves -- WE THE PEOPLE -- We Americans understand that liberty and constitutional government are at stake for every generation; We Americans above all else trust our Constitution to protect our liberties and preserve our Republic -- WE THE PEOPLE -- We today accept Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, as the protector of our rights and liberties, as the leader of a free people, and as our light against the darkness of non-democratic usurpers of our Constitution and its republican government by its citizens -- WE THE PEOPLE -- We do not accept mob rule or minority tyranny, or the refusal to transfer power peacedully to those duly elected, or the meddling in our affairs by ex-Presidents who, when their term is finished, do not cede their power to the next President but seek to impose their will on America through unconstitutional means -- WE THE PEOPLE -- We support free speech but we do not accept violent protest; We support a Congress that carries out our will through our elected officials but not those who use their elected position to attempt to bring down our national will as expressed through our constitutional vote; We support the freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution but we refuse to be threatened into denying the obligations imposed by that same Constitution on every citizen to be vigilant in the defense of our liberties; We seek to help those who need help but we refuse to accept as our duty the unconstitutional imposition of helping those who do not try to help themselves. In Short, WE THE PEOPLE today reaffirm our vision as Americans of a free people governed by a legislature and executive and judiciary constrained under the Constitution to follow our direction as expressed in our free and uncompromised vote; We cherish what our Founders wrote : "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." -- WE THE PEOPLE -- We heed our first President, George Washington, who warned us : "However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.” -- WE THE PEOPLE -- We are Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Greens, and of many other opinions that seem fitting for our time and situaiton -- But, WE THE PEOPLE -- We are Americans first and always, and we will not allow our Constitution and our Republic to be destroyed by any means whatsoever. -- Therefore, WE THE PEOPLE -- We welcome President Trump and encourage him to keep his compact with us; We ask of him that he respect our Constitution, honor our Republic and its protection of our personal liberties, that he help us to be the informed and vigilant citizens our Founders recognized as the glue that holds the Republic together, and above all, that he never act without acknowledging that he is our representative, not our ruler, and that he was elected to heed our advice and counsel as free men and women, as free Americans. -- WE THE PEOPLE -- We above all ask for the protection of the Divine Spirit of God who has guided and saved us from harm and evil. May God Bless America.

  1. I would love to have a worthy comment to this most perfect thought from Casey Pops on just what the importance of tomorrow is. But I can't.

    Maybe later. But right now I just want to re-read this excellent posting, ponder the words, and take a deep breath & exhale that the Obama attempt to bury this country has run awry and is OVER.

  2. Of all the slogans used to rally the troops, to draw interest to an issue social, political or otherwise. All the rallying cries to war and peace.

    Of them all the shortest possibly is still ... WE THE PEOPLE.

    Those 3 words say more about what America and this great political experiment of self-government, individual choices, personal freedom, Rule of Law, and today's demonstration of the peaceful transfer of power.

    7.5 Hours from now with a few short words our government goes from being conducted by an arch Progressive Socialist to the hands of (the best description I can think of) a preserver of what our Foundnders gave us - A Constitutionalist.

    Today maybe more than some should be an every 4th year national holiday.

    Viva La America and any other who show a glimmer of hope.

  3. Today we enter the time of (as my son calls it) CONSEVATIVE EQUALITY.

    And far away from strangling progressive socialism.

    The road at times will be difficult to support ... But 80% of something is better than 0% of nothing
