The Federal Bureaucracy Is Out of Control -- President Trump, Tear Down the Deep State

THE REAL NEWS TODAY IS THE SHIFT IN THE MUELLER PROBE FROM TRUMP TO THE FBI. Even the Washington Post noted the shift on Saturday, although its coverage was meant of boscureht e real facts. The WP wrote that an FBI investigator was fired from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible collision between the President Trump’s campaign and Russia this summer after he exchanged anti-Trump texts with a bureau lawyer with whom he was having an affair. The WP wrote : "Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page exchanged messages that had anti-Trump and pro-Hillary Clinton comments." The messages were reportedly sent, according to the WP, while the two were having an extramarital affair in 2016 "during the investigation into Clinton’s private email server....Strzok was taken off the Mueller probe in August after the texts came to light while Page reportedly left the team in July before any issues were raised." • That is a lot like reporting that Mrs. O'Leary's cow was not hurt in a fire last night, while omitting to say that Chicago burned down. • • • THE BOMBSHELL ABOUT Strzok AND HILLARY. Zero Hedge was a lot more forthcoming on Sunday, when it wrote : "A rabidly anti-Trump FBI agent who was fired from Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel investigation relied on claims made in a largely unsubstantiated and highly salacious dossier provided by Washington DC-based opposition research firm, Fusion GPS -- which enlisted former MI6 agent Christopher Steele to assemble the 34-page ‘Dirty Dossier’ in mid-2016. Veteran FBI agent Peter Strzok -- who headed up the Hillary Clinton email investigation, was dismissed from Mueller’s Trump-Russia probe in mid-August and relegated to the FBI’s Human Resources department, after the DOJ opened an inquiry into anti-Trump / pro-Clinton text messages Strzok sent to his Trump-hating mistress -- FBI lawyer Lisa Page, while the two were working together on the Clinton probe. Page was also fired from the Mueller investigation into Russian meddling earlier this year. Strzok’s conduct in the Clinton investigation is now under review by the Justice Department, along with his role in a number of other politically sensitive cases, according to Fox News." • That gets the details out on the table for a huge story that punches Black Holes in the heretofore Democrat / FBI / DOJ story line that the Mueller special counsel probe is entirely a legal operation trying to get at the "truth." Right -- using the infamous Fake Russia Dossier collusion tale rigged by the Hillary campaign and the Democrat National Committee -- paid for by them and the FBI -- to try to ensnare Trump in salacious Russian acts and thus sink him and his administration into the most putrid Dante-esque ring of the annals of presidential history. • Fox News got to the heart of the weekend revelation : “While Strzok’s removal from the Mueller team had been publicly reported in August, the Justice Department never disclosed the anti-Trump texts to the House investigators. Responding to the revelations about Strzok’s texts on Saturday, [House Intelligence Committee Chairman] Nunes said he has now directed his staff to draft contempt-of-Congress citations against Rosenstein and the new FBI director, Christopher Wray.” • • • THE FACTS. Zero Hedge reports that in August, 2016, nine months before Trump fired Comey which led to the naming of special counsel Robert Mueller, the New York Times reported that Strzok was hand picked by FBI brass to supervise an investigation into allegations of Trump-Russia collusion. The FBI investigation grew legs after they received the infamous anti-Trump “Russia Dossier” and decided to act on its salacious and largely unproven claims. • According to Fox News : "House investigators told Fox News they have long regarded Strzok as a key figure in the chain of events when the bureau, in 2016, received the infamous anti-Trump “Dossier” and launched a counterintelligence investigation into Russian meddling in the election that ultimately came to encompass FISA surveillance of a Trump campaign associate. The “Dossier” was a compendium of salacious and largely unverified allegations about then-candidate Trump and others around him that was compiled by the opposition research firm Fusion GPS. The firm’s bank records, obtained by House investigators, revealed that the project was funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee." • The New York Times reported that weeks before the 2016 Presidential election, STZROK'S TEAM agreed to pay former MI6 agent and Fusion GPS operative Christopher Steele, a former British Intel officer, $50,000 if he could verify his claims that the FBI had ALREADY used to take action to begin its Trump investigation. Of note, Fusion separately paid Steele $168,000 to assemble the Russia Dossier, with the cooperation of two senior Kremlin officials. The FBI agent said that if Steele could get solid corroboration of his reports, the FBI would pay him $50,000 for his efforts, according to two people familiar with the offer. One report, filled with references to secret meetings, spoke ominously of Trump’s “compromising relationship with the Kremlin” and threats of “blackmail.” He [Steele] provided the documents to an FBI contact in Europe on the same day as FBI Director Comey’s news conference about Hillary Clinton; BUT, it took weeks for this information to land with Mr. Strzok and his team, according to the NYT. After meeting the FBI in October to deliver a ‘stack of new intelligence reports,’ Steele was ultimately not paid because he could not corroborate the information he had provided. • However, even after knowing that the Russia Dossier could not be corroborated by its author, the FBI used the Dossier to obtain a FISA surveillance warrant on one-time Trump foreign-policy advisor Carter Page -- who was described as having a “secret meeting” with Putin associate Igor Sechin and Deputy Chief for International Policy, Igor Diveykin during a July 2016 trip to Moscow to deliver a commencement speech. "Not true," says Page while Page did travel to Moscow to deliver a commencement speech, he told the House Intelligence Committee that he’s never heard of Diveykin nor met with any of the men mentioned in the dossier. Page did testify that he spoke with Russia’s deputy prime minister, Arkadiy Dvorkovich, who was in attendance at the commencement ceremony. Upon his return, Page relayed their meeting in a memo to the Trump campaign, writing that : “In a private conversation, Dvorkovich expressed strong support for Mr. Trump and a desire to work together toward devising better solutions in response to the vast range of current international problems.” Page claims he hadn’t spoken more than a few words to Dvorkovich, and had instead gained insight into the Russian’s opinion from listening to the Russian’s speeches. • So, according to Zero Hedge and Fox and the NYT, we now know that the original, pre-Mueller FBI investigation into Trump-Russia collusion was spearheaded by Peter Strzok -- an anti-Trump senior FBI agent who was fired for sending anti-Trump / pro-Clinton text messages to his mistress during their investigation into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information. We also know that the FBI probe led by Strzok relied on the salacious 34-page Steele Russia Dossier, paid for in part by Hillary Clinton and the DNC, to launch their Trump-Russia investigation and obtain a FISA warrant on Carter Page -- EVEN THOUGH the FBI knew the Dossier could not be corroborated by its author. It is relevant that Strzok concluded that Hillary Clinton was “careless” in her mishandling of classified information, yet found “no proof of intent,” an opinion used by Comey as the basis for his recommendation not to prosecute. Comey, as it turns out, drafted Clinton’s exoneration letter long before the FBI had finished reviewing evidence in the case. • This raises a multitude of questions about Strzok, the Clinton email investigation, and any other politically charged cases he’s worked on -- all of which are now under review by the DOJ’s Office of Personnel Management AND House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, who is also zeroing in on Rod Rosenstein and the new FBI director, Christopher Wray for their roles in the decision to withhold the reasons for Strzok’s dismissal in August and let Nunes find out about them just last weekend by reading the NYT and Washington Post -- even though Nunes had been asking the FBI and the DOJ for the Stzrok files since August and was let by a stonewall both at Justice and the FBI. • • • NUNES AND HOUSE INTEL GO ON OFFENSE. Breitbart, and many other online outlets, reported over the weekend that Devin Nunes, House Intelligence Committee Chairman, has instructed Committee staff to prepare to cite the FBI in contempt of Congress after the agency failed to turn over documents explaining why agent Peter Strzok had been removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. Nunes had known about Stzrok's firing since August, BUT not the reasons for it. Byron York of the Washington Examiner reported Saturday that the House Intelligence Committee had subpoenaed the FBI in August for information about why Strzok was dropped from Mueller’s team. Over the next three months, the FBI repeatedly refused to turn over the requested information. Nunes met and spoke to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, York reported, to no avail. Nunes and the Committee continued to pursue the matter right up through Friday, December 1. The following day, the New York Times and the Washington Post reported that Strzok had been kicked off Mueller’s team because of anti-Trump text messages that he was found to have exchanged with FBI lawyer Lisa Page during the 2016 presidential election. Strzok had also worked on the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s storage of emails, including classified information, on an illicit private server. She was not prosecuted. In addition, Strzok and Page were found to have carried on an extramarital affair. Page worked for FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who conservatives have long complained had a conflict of interest because his wife received $700,000 in campaign funding from Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, a close ally of the Clintons for decades. Breitbart says : "The revelation of Strzok’s removal, and the reasons for it, are a huge blow to the credibility of Mueller’s inquiry, which critics have long claimed is riddled with partisan conflicts of interest. Some of the lawyers working for Mueller had donated to Hillary Clinton, and one had even done work for the Clinton Foundation, which was a target of the Trump campaign during the election (and may have been under investigation by the FBI as well)." The Washington Examiner's Byron York reported that the Saturday revelations by the NYT and the WP were an “orchestrated leak” to the Times and the Post. In a furious statement on Saturday, Nunes accused the FBI of deliberately covering up political bias on the Mueller team : “By hiding from Congress, and from the American people, documented political bias by a key FBI head investigator for both the Russia collusion probe and the Clinton email investigation, the FBI and DOJ engaged in a willful attempt to thwart Congress’ constitutional oversight responsibility.” • Breitbart reports that Nunes has promised to take action on the citation for contempt if the FBI does not come clean by the end of December. He will almost certainly have the backing of Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, who has also complained about the FBI’s apparent refusal to turn over information to the committee, especially on the degree to which it relied on the Fake and discredited “Russia Dossier” that was paid for by Clinton and the Democratic National Committee. • • • STZROK -- ANOTHER HILLARY DEEP STATE ANTI-TRUMP MOLE. Daniel John Sobieski xrote in the American thinker on Monday that the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email investigation cannot be objective "when the FBI agent who played a lead role was removed from it this summer for texting his pro-Hillary and anti-Trump sympathies." Sobieski asked why House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes had to read about it in the New York Times and the Washington Post. Sobieski agrees with Byron York's Washington Examiner that Nunes was right to issue his "angry demand to the FBI and Department of Justice to explain why they kept the Committee in the dark over the reason Special Counsel Robert Mueller kicked a key supervising FBI agent off the Trump-Russia investigation." Both the Washington Post and New York Times on Saturday reported that Peter Strzok played a key role in the original FBI investigation into the Trump-Russia matter, and then a key role in Mueller's investigation, and who earlier had played an equally critical role in the FBI's Hillary Clinton email investigation. • Can we possibly believe, asks Sobieski, that Strzok "was diligently and impartially examining evidence related to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump while being unable to contain his anti-Trump bias? Is he the only Hillary mole? Just look at Robert Mueller’s staff and James Comey’s exoneration of Hillary Clinton after the infamous tarmac meeting between AG Loretta Lynch and unindicted conspirator in Uranium One William Jefferson Clinton. Stop when you detect a pattern." • Sobieski sees a Washington war coming : "US House Republicans are moving to bring a Contempt of Congress resolution against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray for stonewalling the production material related to the Russia-Trump probes and other matters. According to Bloomberg, House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes and other Republicans decided to move against Rosenstein and Wray after the New York Times reported Saturday about the removal of a top FBI official assigned to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of the alleged Russia-Trump election collusion had been removed from the investigation." • • • THE DEEP STATE IS TRYING TO DESTROY TRUMP. The pattern we see again and again is that the FBI and DOJ and their obedient mainstream media leak or publish everything that could be damaging to President Trump and his team, while everything that could be damaging to Hillary and her team is locked up in Deep State vaults at the FBI and DOJ. The best current example is that General Flynn is now a felon, having pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI -- BUT, Hillary Clinton is not BECAUSE the FBI questioned her while she was NOT under oath and therefore could not be found gulty of lying the FBI. The FBI, carefully and with forethought, didn't take notes of their Hillary "questioning" and so we are unable to even guess what transpired -- was it Round Two of the Lynch-Bill Clinton Tarmac Meeting? Nobody knows except those in the Deep State FBI who are protecting Hillary, as they always have. • We can add the infamous Comey "notes" of his meeting with President Trump that were leaked by Comey to a Columbia Law School professor friend with instructions to read the notes to the NYT. Where are the notes? Where is the questioning of Comey about the note under oath? Sobieski says : "Comey had the fix in for Hillary. We now know why the FBI made the absurd claim that it would not release its files on the Hillary Clinton email investigation for alleged lack of public interest. The FBI was covering up its obstruction of justice in the, er, “matter” knowing full well that former Director James Comey had already exonerated Hillary Clinton before the alleged investigation was complete and all witnesses had been interviewed, and months before Comey falsely claimed in his announcement that no competent prosecutor would take Hillary’s case....If James Comey was seriously looking for evidence of intent, he couldn’t have possibly taken a single step without tripping over it. Wasn’t having a private server that contained classified information, multiple devices that were later physically smashed, and using Bleach Bit to destroy 33,000 emails that were under subpoena sufficient evidence of intent? Only a corrupt and complicit FBI director, acting as Hillary Clinton’s surrogate campaign manager, who months earlier had decided he would exonerate her, could ignore the damning evidence....Having already decided that he would exonerate her regardless of the evidence explains why he did not attended the July 2, 2016 interview of Hillary Clinton, did not put her under oath, or ever impanel a grand jury in the, there’s that word again, “matter.” The fix was in." • • • THE MUELLER WITCH HUNT. Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel after his friend, James Comey, committed a federal crime by leaking a memo which was a government record to the press. Mueller has picked staff and prosecutors who are Clinton donors, an attorney who worked for the Clinton Foundation, a former Watergate assistant prosecutor, and even a senior advisor to Eric Holder. Objective professionals?? -- talk about selling a Bridge in Brooklyn. Sobieski says : "Mueller is in fact colluding with Comey to enact revenge on President Trump for Comey’s firing, something which even Comey said Trump was constitutionally entitled to do. There is no evidence of collusion with Russia or obstruction of justice. It is not obstruction of justice for a President to exercise his legal and constitutional authority." • • • McCABE -- HILLARY'S FBI ONE-SHOP GO-TO. Hillary mole Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe was in a key position as he had oversight of the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s criminal handling of classified emails on her private server, a position from which he could assist FBI Director James Comey in putting the fix in. Judicial Watch notes : "Judicial Watch today released Justice Department records showing that FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe did not recuse himself from the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s unsecure, non-government email server until Tuesday, November 1, 2016, one week prior to the presidential election. The Clinton email probe was code-named 'Midyear Exam.' While working as Assistant Director in Charge of the Washington Field Office, McCabe controlled resources supporting the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. An October 2016 internal FBI memorandum labeled “Overview of Deputy Director McCabe’s Recusal Related To Dr. McCabe’s Campaign for Political Office,” details talking points about McCabe’s various potential conflicts of interest, including the FBI’s investigation of Clinton’s illicit server, which officially began in July 2015....FBI Headquarters asked the Washington Field Office for personnel to conduct a special investigation. McCabe was serving as [Assistant Director] and provided personnel resources. However, he was not told what the investigation was about. In February 2016 McCabe became Deputy Director and began overseeing the Clinton investigation. The Overview also shows [that] if asked whether McCabe played any role in his wife’s campaign, the scripted response was: “No. Then-[Assistant Director] McCabe played no role, attended no events and did not participate in fundraising or support of any kind.' " • Of course, that statement was a lie. Just as the withholding of the real reasons for removing Strzok from the Mueller witch hunt is a lie of omission -- failing to inform the House and Senate Intel Committees in the FBI required quarterly report about the full set of Stzrok facts. • • • RONALD REAGAN AND UNCONTROLLABLE FEDERAL BUREAUCRATS. The sordid Mueller - Comey - FBI affair is just another chapter in the saga of a corrupt and criminal enterprise masquerading as an investigation in which the FBI, the DOJ, and now the special counsel are all involved. Lady justice in this case is not blind -- she has been murdered by Robert Mueller and his political cronies. • On August 5, 1981, President Ronald Reagan fired more than 11,000 air traffic controllers who ignored his order to return to work. The sweeping mass firing of federal employees slowed commercial air travel, but it did not cripple the system as the strikers had forecast. New controllers were hired and the US air traffic control apparatus functioned without the strikers who had disobeyed the President when ordered back to work, as he was entitled to do under federal law. • On August 3, 1981, at a 7 a.m. press conference, President Reagan made beginning remarks : "Let me make one thing plain. I respect the right of workers in the private sector to strike. Indeed, as president of my own union, I led the first strike ever called by that union. I guess I'm maybe the first one to ever hold this office who is a lifetime member of an AFL - CIO union. But we cannot compare labor-management relations in the private sector with government. Government cannot close down the assembly line. It has to provide without interruption the protective services which are government's reason for being. It was in recongition of this that the Congress passed a law forbidding strikes by government employees against the public safety. Let me read the solemn oath taken by each of these employees, a sworn affidavit, when they accepted their jobs: 'I am not participating in any strike against the Government of the United States or any agency thereof, and I will not so participate while an employee of the Government of the United States or any agency thereof.' It is for this reason that I must tell those who fail to report for duty this morning they are in violation of the law, and if they do not report for work within 48 hours, they have forfeited their jobs and will be terminated." A reporter asked : "Mr. President, why have you taken such strong action as your first action? Why not some lesser action at this point?" President Reagan's answer was clear : "What lesser action can there be? The law is very explicit. They are violating the law. And as I say, we called this to the attention of their leadership. Whether this was conveyed to the membership before they voted to strike, I don't know. But this is one of the reasons why there can be no further negotiation while this situation continues. You can't sit and negotiate with a union that's in violation of the law. And their oath." • The You Tube of the Reagan Presidential Library giving President Reagan's address to the nation on the air traffic controllers is at < https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWFwTNQ5LiE >. • Why bring up something that happened in 1981? Because President Ronald Reagan understood that rights and obligations go hand in hand. He realized that giving in to the striking traffic controllers would lead to weak federal leadership and an eventual collapse of order in the federal government. • • • DEAR READERS, today, President Trump is facing a similar crisis, although no Deep State federal worker is on strike. That would, as they know, make it too easy for President Trump. But, Trump's crisis far outstrips Reagan's. We are witnessing a federal bureaucracy -- unionized through upper-middle levels of management -- not only refusing to work with the President, they are deliberately trying to bring him down because they disagree with his political agenda -- the agenda of the majority of Americans who elected him. • I have a simple question -- is it better to have a completely disfunctional federal bureaucracy that refuses to do what the duly elected President and his American voter majority want while it sabotages him, or is it better to have no bureaucracy at all? If this undeclared civil war continues, America will find itself with an impotent or impeached President and a majority of voters who have been swept away for a criminal cabal's Progressive vision of a statist, socialist America. • President Reagan gave the striking traffic controllers a chance to go back to work. He fired those who refused, with no right to be rehired. • I would suggest that President Trump announce that the first leak -- a federal crime, after all -- from any federal executive department will mean one month of unpaid administrative leave for all unionized employees in the particular department where the leak came from. The second leak would result in two months' unpaid leave. The third leak would mean that all unionized employees in hte offending department would be fired. At the same time, all political appointees subject to Senate approval, except for Cabinet members, would have the same penalties applied. That will be an inconvenience. But, there are many American Deplorables who would step up to help President Trump fill the empty jobs until new employees can be trained -- some of the volunteers might even like to take the jobs permanently. America may even find that it doesn't need many of the jobs. • The point is that a dysfunctional federal bureaucracy means that America is not really functioning. The revolt against Trump in some federal departments is real -- the DOJ, FBI, IRS, EPA and State come to mind. These departments are busy leaking real and Fake news and letting the President know that although he is legally their boss, they will not obey his orders and will seek his destruction. Can America survive without a mob of Swamp Creatures who are intent on eating the Constitution whole?? I think the Republic can survive very nicely, and will be far better off when constitutional order has been re-established. • President Reagan showed he was in control of the federal bureaucracy, the millions-strong federal workforce that generally votes for Democrats not Republicans, and that the government was under his command. It was a defining moment. Can President Trump show equal command? It would help if Congress would pass a law eliminating federal district court judges' ability to issue injunctions against a President's Executive Orders -- EOs could still be challenged in court, but would be effective until a final Supreme Court decision was handed down. Congress could also pass House and Senate resolutions supporting his action. • President Calvin Coolidge understood. He said in a speech at William and Mary College in 1926 : "Bureaucracy is a threat to liberty and it’s not accountable to the people, that is the main point. No method of procedure has ever been devised by which liberty could be divorced from local self-government. No plan of centralization has ever been adopted which did not result in bureaucracy, tyranny, inflexibility, reaction, and decline. Of all forms of government, those administered by bureaus are about the least satisfactory to an enlightened and progressive people. Being irresponsible they become autocratic, and being autocratic they resist all development. Unless bureaucracy is constantly resisted it breaks down representative government and overwhelms democracy. It is the one element in our institutions that sets up the pretense of having authority over everybody and being responsible to nobody." • President Trump, tear down the Deep State.
