Historians are calling the outbursts of hate unprecedented - far from it.

In 1968, mobs cursed Lyndon Johnson, who had passed all the civil rights laws, howling, “Hey, hey, LBJ: How many kids did you kill today!”
After Dr. King’s assassination, a hundred cities, including the capital, were looted and burned. Scores died. U.S. troops and the National Guard were called out to restore order. Soldiers returning from Vietnam were spat upon. Cops were gunned down by urban terrorists. Bombings and bomb attempts were everyday occurrences. Campuses were closed down. In May 1971, tens of thousands of radicals went on a rampage to shut down D.C.

A cautionary note to progressives: Extremism is how the left lost the future to Nixon and Reagan; and it seems that they are losing to Trump now. But though our media may act like this is 1968 all over again, we are not there yet. That was history; this is still largely farce composed but lies.

The comparisons with Nazi Germany are absurd. Does anyone truly believe that the centers where the children of illegal migrants are being held, run as they are by liberal bureaucrats from the Department of Health and Human Services, are like Stalin’s Gulag or Hitler’s camps? This is hyperbole born of hysteria and hate.

THINK ... Two million Americans are in jails and prisons, all torn from their families and children. How many TV hours have been devoted to showing what those kids are going through? Thirty percent of all American children grow up with only one parent. How many TV specials have been devoted to kids separated for months, sometimes years, sometimes forever, from fathers and mothers serving in the military and doing tours of duty overseas in our endless wars?

Because of U.S. support for the UAE-Saudi war against the Houthi rebels in Yemen, hundreds of thousands of children face the threat of famine. Those Yemeni kids are not being served burgers in day care centers. How many Western TV cameras are recording their suffering?

When it comes to the rhetoric of hate, the cursing of politicians, the shouting down of speakers, the right is not innocent, but the Progressive left is infinitely more guilty.

It was to the Donald Trump rallies, not the Bernie Sanders rallies, that the provocateurs came to start the fights. Why? Because if you have been told and believe your opponents are fascists, then their gatherings are deserving not of respect but of disruption. And, as was true in the 1960s, if you manifest your contempt, you will receive your superior morality

Don’t be mislead by the Progressive Socialist and their Fake News stories.Bonnie Ideenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7739601669247573025.post-37194647732637754222018-06-30T18:27:54.770-07:002018-06-30T18:27:54.770-07:00During the sixties, social conventions were turned...During the sixties, social conventions were turned upside down, and sexual mores were thrashed everywhere. Extreme individualism became the norm. All this was done in the name of social justice, personal fulfillment, and equality.

This social revolution was supposed to create a more just society. And yet, the contrary happened. The social order has not improved. Inequality ratios have soared. Morality has plummeted and created an underclass of those without a stable family life. Institutional and civic involvement have declined dramatically. Social trust at all levels has fallen.

Particular branches of Government are dysfunctional right now with their hand made truths, lies to create quilt, and the nation is polarized to the edge of splintering away.

We survived the 60’s, the Clinton years, Barrack Obama deception of his American republic(ism), and we will survive the Swamp people infestation of our democracy.Molon Labenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7739601669247573025.post-41913248832700126012018-06-30T18:13:45.212-07:002018-06-30T18:13:45.212-07:00The republic is, according to the Founding Father...The republic is, according to the Founding Fathers of America, the best, the most natural, and the most fragile form of government. No republican who understands the nature of a republic creates one believing it will last forever.

To do so would be utterly un-republican. Like all living things, for the republic to remain viable, once born, it must exercise its constitution. For the human, this means eating well, exercising, and caring for one’s body as well as one’s soul. The same is true for a republic. While it must have a good and strong form, it must equally possess a spirited and purposeful soul.

As with all things organic and natural, a republic proceeds through a series of inevitable steps. From its birth, it ages and, sadly, becomes corrupt. Eventually, when the corruption becomes an endemic, the republic dies. At its death, it might remain an idea hidden from the world for generations and even millennia. As it is rooted in nature, however, it can never fully disappear. As long as the world remains, the idea of a republic remains.

If it couldn’t exist at Troy, it moved to the Tiber. Should it fail there, it moved to the Thames, to the Hudson, the Potomac, the Susquehanna, and, most pertinent to Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump.

All republicans of the founding period—meaning every single patriot—knew that America would not last forever. They did, however, hope that by example, norms, education, and sacrifice, the American people would keep the republic alive as long as possible, offering an example to a world that had not seen a thriving and viable government of the people, for the people, and for the people.A Tool 4 Freedomnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7739601669247573025.post-48129278190840787542018-06-30T17:33:13.927-07:002018-06-30T17:33:13.927-07:00Politics in this country today breaks down to soci...Politics in this country today breaks down to socialism or conservatism. Neither is perfect, by any means, but it is essential to understand the ideology of each and where each will lead us if allowed full reign.

Socialism seeks total control by big government and total dependence by individuals on the whims of non-elected so-called elites. It eventually has to be forced on the populace (think U.S.S.R., North Korea, China) because understanding of their plight finally sinks in — but there is no way back.

Conservatism seeks to keep the government caged within the Constitution but lets the individual find his own level within the law. Left to themselves, individuals have the power to succeed and, under conservatism, the money to make it happen.

Don’t sit on the fence agonizing over same-sex marriage or those rich guys down the block. There are bad guys on both sides, in and out of government, because we’re dealing with human beings, but the real issue is what kind of world do you want? Freedom to run your own life, whatever it may be, or the feather bed of government handouts passed through the bars of a cage of government restrictions, regulations and frustrated ambitions?

That is the eternal choice Election after election, after election.Jakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10775328073721361297noreply@blogger.com
